A true 5 star hotel with great attention to detail. They really have mastered their craft and I think the hotel lives up to its reputation. The hotel is not new anymore and it shows in places, but during my visit it was super clean and nice. Having booked a club room I was escorted to the club lounge for check-in. I was lucky to have Ms. Wawa do the check-in formalities and introduce the hotel’s facilities and benefits for me. She is an absolute angel, and the sincere smile and concentration on the customer is amazing. With that kind of welcome I felt really happy to have chosen Banyan Tree. The hotel and all the facilities can be great, but it’s the people who can elevate it to the next level. Ms. Wawa did exactly that. I was lucky to have been upgraded to a Vertigo suite on the 57th floor. It was beautiful - stylish and classy, with well thought out details. A small and inexpensive example was that there were many complimentary bottles of water around the suite. The TV remote didn’t work when I arrived but a quick note to the staff solved the issue. Breakfast was marvelous both in the main restaurant and in the club lounge. Varied, fresh, presented with care. I really enjoyed trying out the Thai and Indian dishes as well as the more traditional breakfast items. Made to order eggs were available in many different ways. I did have a portion of waffles in the lounge and it was delicious. In the main restaurant there were many different juices to choose from. While I was in the main restaurant early in the morning the ambience felt quite serene and not as hectic as I would have expected. The service was good and efficient. The location is a bit of a mixed bag. On hand it’s next to a busy road and it’s not super far from an MRT stop, but on the other hand there’s not that much to see or experience in the very near vicinity. I didn’t consider it a problem. While some of the staff were a bit on the serious side, I want to thank Khun Koi, Mint and especially Wawa for their friendliness. All in all, a great experience. The competition is pretty tough in upscale hotels in Bangkok. If you appreciate traditional style luxury, I think Banyan Tree ticks many boxes. And if they can keep up with having great staff, they should be fine in the future.

The Banyan Tree Hotel in Bangkok is quite literally one of the best hotels I’ve ever had the pleasure of staying in. The rooms, the lovely warm and accommodating staff, the restaurants, bars and facilities are nothing short of 5 star! We had the pleasure of dining in 2 of the restaurants here, Vertigo and Bai Yun Chinese, both of which were absolutely fabulous. The Moon Bar at the top of the hotel offers a unique rooftop experience with trendy music and incredible views of Bangkok’s skyline. A special shout out to Oliver at The Moon Bar and Ming at Vertigo, they really ensured our experience was fabulous. If you are wanting to see the Bangkok Temples while you stay here, then please book through the hotel for an affordable yet unforgettable experience. We had the pleasure of Arisa being our tour guide and she was absolutely fantastic, so knowledgeable but most of all such a lovely lady who went above and beyond to ensure we had the most fun when touring around the temples in Bangkok. We also wanted to go on the canal to see the Big Buddha and she made sure that she took us. If you book this tour, you will not be disappointed as Arisa and Lap (our private mini-van driver) are just really lovely human beings. Overall, the Banyan Tree Hotel in Bangkok has everything to offer and more. It has a central location and fantastic facilities, there is literally no more you could want from a place.

Banyan Tree Bangkok offers a calm escape from the city’s hustle, with impressive skyline views and a few standout amenities. However, the overall experience felt somewhat dated and didn’t fully meet expectations, particularly in service and facilities. Pros: • Quiet Location: Set slightly away from the busiest parts of Bangkok, the hotel offers a peaceful retreat—ideal for those looking to unwind. • Stunning Views: Rooms on higher floors provide fantastic panoramic cityscapes, especially during sunset or nighttime. • Two Rooftop Bars: The hotel features two rooftop venues, adding a special touch for evening drinks or a romantic night out. Vertigo and Moon Bar, in particular, are highlights for many visitors. Cons: • Ageing Facilities: The hotel is showing its age in certain areas, both in room interiors and common spaces. • Slow Check-In: Despite arriving early in the morning and sending all passport details in advance via WhatsApp, check-in was lengthy and inefficient. • Elevator Delays: Waiting times for elevators were longer than expected, likely due to the number of floors and limited lift speed/capacity. • Spa Booking Limitations: The spa was often fully booked, limiting access to treatments even when trying to schedule in advance. • Breakfast Experience Lacking: The breakfast area was quite busy, and food quality needs improvement. Scrambled eggs resembled an omelette in texture, and the cappuccino was machine-made—not up to the standard expected from a hotel of this caliber. • Transport Required: While the peaceful location is a plus, it also means you’ll likely need to rely on taxis or ride-hailing apps for most destinations, as it’s not within easy walking distance of key tourist spots or BTS/MRT stations. Overall Impression: Banyan Tree Bangkok delivers in terms of atmosphere and rooftop experiences, but operational inefficiencies and aging infrastructure slightly diminish the premium feel. It could be a good fit for guests prioritizing quiet surroundings and rooftop dining, but expect to compromise on convenience and a few service aspects, significantly below Banyan tree Dubai

Overall, we had a wonderful experience at the Banyan Tree Bangkok and would highly recommend it. The positives far outweighed the minor negatives. We were upgraded from a standard room to a massive suite (Room 2403), which was a fantastic surprise and made our stay feel very special. The bed was very good for sleep as it was the right amount of soft for a side sleeper like myself, and the club package was a great decision, making the stay convenient with easy access to breakfast and drinks. The service was truly incredible; the reception team, in particular, was extremely helpful when I lost my wallet, going to great lengths to help me get it back. We had a small maintenance issue with the bathtub which was quickly fixed, and it took a little while to get the AC temperature right on the first night. Despite the small hiccups, the quality of the room and the outstanding service made this a five-star experience.

Excellent hotel with warm service at the club lounge. Kudos to them. Rooms a bit dated especially the bathroom but well kept. Would love to give 5 stars but the older doormen only seem to care for farang and no one seems to help the Asians. They avoid eye contact or pretend to be busy. Saw it a few times and when I left, not even one offered help. So a bit meh in terms of that despite having a very warm welcome by the younger doormen when I arrived. Sooo, count your lucky stars or be White when you enter or leave!
