Check-in waa quick with a welcoming drink being provided on arrival. The gardens and pools are superb - the best for all but particularly for families. It felt like you're in paradise. The resort location was good with easy access to external shops, restaurants and the many masseurs Bali is known for. Even though the room and bathroom were dated, they were clean, the beds are super comfortable, as were the pillows. All linen is immaculately clean. On each level of the building we were in they had filtered water machines, so you never had to worry about getting clean water to drink. The gardens leading to the rooms were beautiful and well maintained. The breakfast buffet was delicious and a more than ample selection provided with a fresh omelette cooking area. The gym had ample equipment and a scale to use to remind you how great the breakfast buffet was. 😞The resort pool area is showing signs of neglect and maintenance is needed. Having said that it is perfectly set up for families. The pools with water slides are all close together making it easy as a parent to supervise children. The beach is literally across the road and the area is supervised by a hotel employee who stop traffic before you cross. Security at the front entrance is excellent with cars being stopped and checked for the B word before being let in. The staff are wonderful and quick to please on any requests. We loved our stay at the Bali Mandira and can't wait to come back again.

Overall, it is a beautiful hotel with friendly staff. I have a few negative things to say before I dive into the good. Firstly, on the day we arrived, we were placed in a room right next to a construction site. They were renovating the balconies and they gave us a room right near it with our 5 month old baby. This meant that our baby could barely sleep through the noise. Luckily, they moved us without any hassle. However, this room was just as noisy but this time not by construction work... constant banging doors in the evening, people talking loudly, etc. Noise carries SO much. It makes you stress a lot more when you are trying to get / keep a baby asleep as we are in our room from very early on. Put that aside, the staff are fantastic and friendly. We paid to upgrade our breakfast as we loved the variety of fresh juices and baked goods at the other restaraunt. The pools are lovely, the staff at the spa are amazing, and the location is wonderful. They plan special things at night but we couldn't enjoy them due to bubs being asleep. Overall, a good experience but I wouldn't pay this kind of money again for this experience.

This was a 1 night stopover for us for our flight home the next day. In general, it's a beautiful resort that caters well for families. However, it was ill-suited to us as a couple. Checkout was 12.00 and there were no options for courtesy rooms available while we waited 5 hours for our transfer. The biggest gripe though was the eye-watering prices of food and drink, which were at least double anywhere else we stayed in Indonesia.

We’ve been staying at this resort on and off for over 10 years and have always appreciated its beautiful location and relaxing atmosphere. Unfortunately, during our most recent week-long stay, the experience was deeply disappointing—mainly due to poor customer service and an overall decline in staff attitude. Over the course of our stay, we had three separate issues that were never properly addressed, This included multiple follow ups at the front desk after not returning phone calls, late night calls from reception staff while having a young child in the room and letters delivered to our door in the night. What made matters worse was our repeated request to speak with a manager. We asked both during the day and in the evening across several days. Each time, we were told the manager was unavailable but would be informed. Only on the final day were we able to speak directly with the manager—who was completely unaware of any of our previous concerns or that we had even requested to meet with him. The behavior of several staff members was downright unprofessional. We experienced eye-rolling when asking for help, overheard staff talking about us within earshot at the front desk, and were outright lied to on more than one occasion. There was a clear lack of urgency, care, or accountability throughout the property. It felt like we were an inconvenience rather than valued returning guests. The resort itself remains stunning, but the lack of care, accountability, and professionalism from the staff has seriously tarnished our experience.

My family and I stayed here for 5 days. They were Very accommodating. Helped with anything I needed. Security was very welcoming as well as all the staff. They even brought us a cake for hubby’s birthday and flowers. Breakfast was amazing so much to choose from. Pool amazing also kids loved it. Close to all amenities shops and beach! Would highly recommend this place for families and couples. Thankyou to all the staff who made our stay pleasant and relaxed!
