*****A Perfect Family Getaway at Bahia Principe Grand Tulum***** We had an absolutely amazing vacation at Bahia Principe Grand Tulum, and I can’t recommend it enough for families with young children. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere felt welcoming, relaxed, and incredibly kid‑friendly. The children’s amenities are outstanding. The water park, kids’ pools, and daily activities kept our little ones entertained from morning to evening. Everything felt safe, clean, and thoughtfully designed for families, which allowed us to truly unwind and enjoy our time. What really made our stay exceptional was the Guest Service team. Every staff member we interacted with was warm, patient, and genuinely eager to help. Whether it was arranging small details, answering questions, or simply greeting us with a smile, they made us feel cared for throughout our stay. Their kindness toward our children was especially heartwarming. The resort itself is beautiful—spacious grounds, great food options, and a lively yet relaxing atmosphere. We left with wonderful memories and a strong desire to return. If you’re looking for a resort that combines comfort, fun, and truly outstanding service, Bahia Principe Grand Tulum is a fantastic choice for families.

For families - we booked this and were excited about the location, pool and kids amenities. Save your money and go elsewhere. Although the resort is large and there are many pools and things to see, overall this resort was lacking compared to others we have been to in the past. There is NO SERVICE at the pools, meaning you can't order drinks or food, you always have to go to the bar. The rooms are old and dated. THE POOLS ARE NOT HEATED, they are freezing our kids did not venture into them all week.The food, terrible. They do not replenish it often during mealtimes and it is always chaotic. Even the a la cartes are still buffet, nothing is made fresh to order. The only one we thought was just ok for the meat was the Gran Tortuga which they sliced fresh off the cooking skewer. It is hard to get good service while at a table, often not getting coffee or water. You can't take coffee to go in paper cups, they give it to you in the same cup as drinks if you want to go to the pool. It takes 1 hour to get to the resort from the airport assuming you go during no traffic and no other stops. With air canada vacations, it took 2.5 hours with all the drop offs to get there. This resort is massive, 5 properties within a radius, the ONLY positive was the kids club for us, the staff there were wonderful and took great care of our children and they had good nightly events for the kids.

We had an amazing experience during our stay! A special shoutout to Carlos & Juan at the lobby bar, they provided excellent service and were so kind & joyful! We looked forward to seeing Carlos in particular every single night of our stay, he made us feel so welcome from the start! All of the staff were so prompt with fulfilling every request we had and ensured we had a wonderful stay. The buffet staff were amazing, they were so prompt with bringing us drinks and removing plates as soon as we were done with them! Overall, every single person we encountered was amazing and made our stay so wonderful, we felt so welcome! I’d highly recommend booking an excursion if you have the time, it was a once in a lifetime experience and elevated our stay so much!

We stayed at this resort with our family of four, along with my parents. My family had been to the Mayan Riviera before, but this was my parents’ first all-inclusive experience and first time in Mexico. We stayed in Building 9, while my parents upgraded to Building 1 near the lobby, which was perfect given their limited mobility. We enjoyed walking the grounds, while they appreciated the close access to amenities. The staff were friendly and helpful, the entertainment was fantastic, and we ate and drank freely without ever getting sick. Rooms were updated, clean, and serviced daily. The landscaping was beautiful and very well maintained. The beach was excellent, with a roped-off swimming area and soft sand. The on-site market near the casino was very convenient—we didn’t need to leave the resort to shop. There were daily activities for all ages, and we loved that the resort is beachfront. The à la carte restaurants were all great (Italian, Japanese, Brazilian, and Indian), and the drink selection was very good. We also appreciated the free shuttle connecting the nearby Bahia Principe resorts. This resort offers both lively areas and quiet spaces to relax, plus kids’ and teen clubs and game areas. We all loved our stay and would definitely return to another Bahia Principe resort.

10/10 for the lifeguards at the kids pool today. My somewhat anxious 9 year old step son cut his foot in the pool and they have been so amazing to him. Kind and gentle, while they competently dress the wound. For context, I’m a former ER nurse so I’m picky. So impressed with their training and care. We’re on day one of the trip, disaster getting here from Saskatchewan but we have no regrets. Great food, great amenities and amazing customer service. Will post a full review after the trip!
