Overall this resort was a great experience for us. Friendly kind staff that was available to help make our stay more enjoyable. The food, amenities and daily activities never disappointed our vacation. The Air Canada representative Omar went above and beyond to organize our off resort excursion. Omar quoted us the best deals and provided the most detailed information when choosing our excursion. When there was no availability for a specific event, Omar accommodated what we wanted and made our vacation that more enjoyable! We appreciated Omar's professionalism and outstanding service in making us satisfied with choosing to vacation with Air Canada vacations. We definitely want to go back for another vacation with Bahia Principle Grand Tulum.

Rooms are nice. Fairly clean. The staff do a good job to maintain the cleanliness. The rooms are getting a bit worn. By this I mean the hard dirt that's in the grout, soap scum and some little bits of mold in the moist areas like the shower need to be steam cleaned or heavily cleaned. It's only in super hard to reach areas like under seals. Overall for a resort like this, super clean.
Staff is generally friendly, if you're kind to them, they are kind back. Pools are lovely. We spent most of our time at the quiet pool and we loved it.
This resort is understaffed and the guests feel it...however every place is and will be for a long time.

Absolutely a beautiful resort overall! Food, service and location was very good and would highly recommend it to all my friends and family! Staff were all so friendly and made the stay all that more enjoyable 😊 The beach is fantastic and all the pools are good! We will be going back again soon! Had a great time! The pools were great, the beach was clean, the food was delicious. Librado at the main pool was amazing, and Fernando and Manuel in the dining hall were hilarious. The entertainment team (shout out Fernanda, Milton, Eddy, Marco, Erick, and Fernando) really made the experience fantastic! Definitely recommend a stay!

**Important Notice for Those with Allergies or Vegan Dietary Needs**
I wanted to share my experience for anyone with dietary restrictions, as I ran into some issues that others might want to be aware of.
The staff at this hotel are very friendly, but they seem to have limited training when it comes to food allergies and dietary needs. For example, I was directed to a grilled counter for "safe" food options, only to later discover that some of the burgers were coated in butter, while others weren’t. This wasn’t labeled, and the staff seemed unsure when I asked.
Similarly, I witnessed another guest asking about vegan options, only to be served a pizza with mozzarella cheese. When she asked, they didn’t realize mozzarella wasn’t vegan!
I don’t think this is a reflection on the staff, who were genuinely trying to help, but rather a management issue. It would be helpful if they added clear labeling, provided allergen info, and offered better training to make dining safer and easier for everyone.
Just a heads-up to anyone else in a similar situation! Hopefully, they’ll improve this, but for now, it might be best to exercise caution if you have allergies or specific dietary needs.
We stayed at Grand Palladium the last time and their staff was a lot more knowledgeable about allergies.
