Came here with my partner for a week, check in process was quick and easy. We were put in our room , sadly it was very out dated with a view of construction site. We asked reception to change rooms and thanks to lovely Kyriaki she was able to change our room the next day and we paid an upgrade to a more modern room (would recommend if you can) My partner has a severe nut allergy and the food options were all labelled clearly, he was able to eat almost everything which is more than great! Food was so delicious with lots of choice! 2 restaurants and snacks throughout the day, can never complain! As drinkers, we were not disappointed with the choices, loads of cocktail options, all the local spirits , the bar staff were more than lovely , serving the drinks quickly and with a smile. A fair few bars as well so queues were never too long for a drink. Soft drinks available to help yourself Entertainment each day was spectacular, darts , ping pong and more with the lovely animation team. I would like the specifically thank Boogie for his positive attitude and energy throughout our stay. The whole animation team is wonderful. There is also a kids club for families and evening entertainment each night including bingo, dance shows and karaoke Location wise , it’s near bars and other restaurants, shops and hotels if you fancy a nice walk. Beach is on the doorstep accessible from hotel, with comfy sunbeds and parasol's. Overall experience at Avra was amazing, would highly recommend to all. The resort is clean and lovely , if you upgrade to the modern rooms they are lovely , cleaners regularly visiting and replenishing items. Really could not complain about this hotel or experience .

The rooms are outdated and a bit unclean. The room where we were placed looked like it was built 20 years ago, smelled musty (I guess we were the first guests of the season). Barely any room to move and very humid and cold. We asked if we could be moved which the staff was accommodating. Second room was a bit more modern, still old, there was rust in the bathtub which they said that they couldn't remove (which I don't think it's true?), cracks in the mirrors. Finally the layout of the hotel, makes it challenging to sleep, with a lot of the rooms being close by to arcade/bar with noise up to midnight. If you are in your 20s and there to party is great, not if you are older or have young kids that need to sleep. Food was mediocre, made for larger quantities but nothing special. Breakfast OK. Dinner had different themes but again dishes not great, quality OK but low for what you pay for. Waiters are efficient taking yours plates as soon as they are empty.. Except you may be considering getting more food.. And need to get a new plate. Drinks are bad quality, fluorescent cocktails.. Bright pinks, blues, red and yellows. All in all not a 4 star hotel, but good location near airport (short transfer) and near center Rhodes.

We haven't stayed at the hotel but visited the bar at the beach a few times when we've been staying close by in lalisos. There are lots of outside tables overlooking the beach across the sea towards Turkey. A fantastic sunset spot. As non guests we buy the premium cocktails here and they are really really good. The hotel is all inclusive so most people get the standard drinks but we have to say the premium ones are worth it, although prepare for confused stares as you walk past from inclusive guests as the premium cocktails come in fancy glasses and look far more premium than the standard drinks, as you would expect. The barman really takes his time preparing them and they are some of the best we've had anywhere. So even if you aren't staying here it's a great place for a cocktail in the evening.

Avra beach resort is an excellent hotel. Staff are all brilliant and so friendly and helpful. Food and drinks are always very nice and you can get food all day long with plenty of choice even from the snack bar. I've been coming here since 2020 having come twice last year and I've booked again for this year. I've never found anything to complain about and regularly praise the staff for their hard work. I highly recommend a stay here.

Avra beach hotel provides really good value, great location, right on the beach and not too far from old town. The hotel was full but we still found there is enough room for everyone. The food was of good quality and plenty to choose from. All members of staff were friendly. The rooms and communal areas were clean and well maintained. There is plenty of both indoor and outdoor seating. Spartans Kostas the Food and Beverage manger can be spotted everyday as he effectively manages a very busy restaurant. Avra is located close to Diagoros Airport about 20 minutes on taxi and its fixed price €21 (not the one provided by the hotel). On arrival at the airport we just took a taxi (plenty at any given point in time, we arrived quite late after 10pm) as we stepped out. Bus stop is right outside the hotel and costs €2.50 to the airport. You can take a bus to old town which costs about €3 if ticket bought on the bus or cheaper if purchased from a local shop. Also recommend visiting Symi island and Lindos. We did not use the ones from the hotel as I think there are better options online that provide better service and more value for money. I would definitely recommend Avra Beach Hotel for anyone looking for a comfortable, family friendly, all inclusive Greek holiday.
