A great hotel! We are so happy we choose this hotel for our stay in kefalonia. The location is perfect and very quiet. The room was spotless and very spacious. Great pool and excellent breakfast. Staff were lovely and welcoming. Surrounded by great beaches and local restaurants

This was our first time to Kefalonia, and we are so happy we chose to stay at this resort. It’s only 5 min to the airport, which was so nice. Hotel staffs are open and friendly, they didn’t hesitate when we asked for help, they did their best to give us best service. Our room was clean and nice, nothing to complain. We loved the area, it was quiet and peaceful. We recommend to rent a car (renting was cheaper than what we expected). You can’t explore the island without a car, unless you book package trips. Thank you Avinthos Resort for having us!

Nice hotel, we had a great room. Only downside were some kids not being very respectful in the pool, but it due to their parents. The staff was very nice, clean rooms.

One of the most beautiful accomodation that we ever had! Quite, relaxing, gourgeaus pool, good services, the best breakfast and the best pool bar. Can say, I will come back if I will have the opportunity, for sure. If you need a relaxig place this is the spot! Recommend!

Just landed home after an amazing 7 nights at the Avithos Resort. This was our first time in Kefalonia and the resort was recommended by a friend who stayed last year, I am so glad she recommended we say here. Firstly I must say Kefalonia is a beautiful island, with beautiful beaches, beautiful landscape and the most friendly of people. The resort, as you will read from other reviews is only 5 mins away from the airport, yet you wouldn’t know (other than a few planes going over head every now and then). The staff are attentive and friendly. The cleaners do an amazing job of keeping the resort and your rooms spotless. The gardeners have the grounds and flowers around the resort looking outstanding.. I struggle to keep the grass green in Newcastle, how they manage it in 30 degree heat I have no idea… We stopped in an upper floor suite with a balcony looking on to the fields and mountains, beautiful for either a morning coffee listening to the cockerels or a relaxed evening sipping a nice cold beer. The pool was clean and a really good size, there were plenty of sun loungers or snazzy daybeds for everyone and even though I think the resort was at capacity, it never felt that way. The food and drinks at the poolside bar were not badly priced and to be honest you get what you pay for, which here was quality. There are two beaches within a 10 min walk from the resort, 1 really good supermarket and 4 really lovely places to eat (again all within a 10 min stroll). I agree with others about hiring a car as it was so nice to get out and about and find little towns and beaches to stop off at… If your okay with a little drive out I would recommend- Argostoli (15 min drive) to see the Turtles and walk across the sea bridge. Sami (45 min drive) to visit the caves and Antisamos beach (need flip flops as there is no sand just pebbles and they get very hot). Fiscardo (50 min drive) was beautiful for sitting watching the world go by and looking at all the lovely boats/yachts. End summary before the spam of photos.. Avithos resort is a must and we are already booking again for next year.
