Overall, our stay was pleasant. We have stayed at five other Anantara properties across Thailand, and this resort generally meets the usual brand standard. We appreciated the generous upgrade to a two-bedroom pool villa, which was modern and newly renovated, and it came with a fridge and washing machine—very convenient for longer trips like ours (over 3 weeks). The location is quite remote from Phuket Old Town, popular beaches, and other attractions, but the resort offers activities on-site. We joined the plates class and visited the small farm, both of which were enjoyable. We also booked half board; the food tasted good and we had a positive experience for the first two nights. However, we did encounter an issue on our final night. At check-in, I informed the staff of my peanut allergy, and each time I ordered room service I clearly stated this again in the order notes. Despite this, a salad containing peanuts was delivered. Fortunately, I always check my food before eating and my husband removed the dish immediately, so I was fine. But finding peanuts in my meal completely ruined the evening, as I then worried about cross-contamination and chose not to eat the rest of the dishes. The team did apologise and replaced the dish, and the manager wished to speak with us the next day, but we were checking out early. The hotel eventually offered a complimentary transfer to the airport, which we appreciated. We generally like the Anantara brand and would consider staying with them again, but unfortunately this experience means we would not return to this particular property.

A Seamless Escape at Anantara Mai Khao, Phuket From the moment we booked, service was exceptional—Dream, our coordinator, made everything from restaurant and spa bookings to buggy service effortless. The resort is perfectly located with a clean, quiet beach, and just a short walk to local shops, restaurants, and a 7-Eleven for essentials. The 3-bedroom suite was spacious and clean, though the sliding doors lacked soundproofing. Still, the warm hospitality across the property—from the reception to the spa—more than made up for it. Even vegetarian food options were excellent. Anantara Mai Khao truly offers a relaxing and well-rounded experience. You really can't go wrong here.

Our stay at Anantara Mai Khao Villas was truly wonderful. The villa itself is beautiful, spacious, private, and surrounded by serene nature that makes it perfect for a relaxing getaway. The arrival experience was smooth and welcoming, thanks to N’Palm who took great care of us and made everything smooth. Khun Aunty Wick (housekeeper) was also very lovely; she was always so kind and proactive, giving us helpful directions around the resort whenever we asked. Breakfast was phenomenal both in terms of variety and quality. The selection was impressive, and every dish tasted fresh and delicious. The service team, especially Khun View, Bow, and Toy, made the experience even better. Khun View in particular looked after our table from the moment we arrived and constantly checked to make sure we had everything we needed. Overall, everything about our stay felt thoughtful and well taken care of. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to come back again.

What an unforgettable experience. This is one of the best I have ever had. My boyfriend and I stayed for 4 night for our anniversary and we loved it. The lagoon pool villa was a large size, spacious and luxurious. The service from the staff is incredible. Special thanks to Coco, Baifern, Wendy, Or (Front office team) and New (Bellman). They are very helpful and mindful. We will definitely come back here again.

Staff are warm and helpful. There's activities for children and adults. The pool has slides for children. The restaurant Taurus served decent food with good service. Brick has brick oven pizzas which were delicious. We stayed in the villa and the pool was beautiful too. The only drawback is that going to Phuket's attractions are a bit far away, but if you're here to just unwind, this is a great resort.
