We spent four wonderful days at AVANI+ Khao Lak as a family of three (two parents and a 13-year-old), and the experience exceeded our expectations in every way. The staff were exceptional throughout our stay. A special thank-you to Ing at the front desk, who welcomed us warmly, resolved an issue with our reservation, arranged early check-in, and consistently went above and beyond to make our stay easy and enjoyable. The beach is fantastic, and the resort offers a variety of complimentary non-motorized water activities such as kayaks, body boards, and SUP boards. We didn’t use the main pool because we had our own private pool, but one great advantage of the resort is that many rooms and villas have direct pool access, so the main pool near our villa was never crowded at any time of day. The resort offers many activities for all ages: an excellent and unusually well-equipped gym, a teen game room, a small basketball court, tennis court (closed during our stay due to rain), mini-golf, an outdoor climbing wall, and another climbing wall inside the gym (though we did wish the full height of the wall were open). Overall, AVANI+ Khao Lak is an outstanding resort for families. We left relaxed, happy, and already hoping to return. Highly recommended.

A truly wonderful experience. A great hotel for families with small children. It’s stunningly beautiful, with modern, high-quality facilities. The atmosphere is pleasant and the staff is very attentive. The area is somewhat remote, but we didn’t feel any lack of convenience. Food prices in the hotel are very reasonable, and getting to the ‘center’ isn’t too long of a ride. There’s a kind of taxi monopoly, so prices are high and there’s no Bolt, but we managed just fine and enjoyed ourselves very much. An excellent hotel — I’m sure we’ll be back again.

We hosted our daughter’s wedding at Avani Khao Lak and couldn’t have chosen a better venue. Before deciding, we visited and stayed at several resorts in Khao Lak in March 2025, and choosing Avani proved absolutely right — it exceeded every expectation. The resort is spectacular and perfectly suited for weddings — a beautiful beach for the ceremony, a grand ballroom for the reception, and multiple bespoke bar setups for cocktails and private after-parties. The food and service across the restaurants were exceptional, and the atmosphere throughout was elegant yet relaxed. Guests were thoughtfully accommodated in rooms close to one another, while the wedding couple enjoyed a stunning beachfront villa with two bedrooms and a spacious living area overlooking the sea. Although October brought heavy rain and flooding, Simon (GM) and Rahul (Events) were calm and professional, ready with seamless alternative plans. Luckily, the skies cleared and our Plan A beach wedding went ahead perfectly. Simon’s approachable, hands-on leadership is reflected in his entire team’s warmth and care. Every staff member made us feel special — about 110 of us arrived as guests and left as family. Avani, Simon, and the team will always hold a special place in our hearts.

Went there as part of anantara vacation club. This property was highly recommended by the agent . Location is far - Khao lak so expect that . Property is new and facilities mainly catered for children . Not quite the location if u go there as a couple and expect some quite private space because there isn’t much of privacy when you have an apartment room above you and can hear people above you and furniture being moved . We stayed in a 2 room villa and compared to other property ( Mai Khao Phuket ) the villa here is smaller for 2 room and pool is dissapointingly small (!) - so another surprise there . It’s more of a dip pool and open so anyone walking pass can look into the pool . So privacy scale is rated 1 of 5 . In terms of activities they have classes but don’t seem to control the size of the class at least not the one we went to, so it was a tat uncomfortable . Gym is big so the a Thai boxing ring inside but equipment is rather limited . All in all this property is best for young family … wished we were advised better here .
