Our stay at Avani was wonderful! The location is beautiful, and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. We booked a sea-view room, and it was absolutely fantastic. The pool is clean and safe for kids, making it perfect for families. The staff were very helpful — especially Mr. Sanjay, who was extremely cooperative and attentive. Overall, we truly enjoyed our stay at Avani and would love to visit again!

We arrived and were initially given an Avani Villa. As a GHA Discovery Platinum member, I had hoped for a Pool Villa, but since it wasn’t available, that was totally fine. The team at the front desk, especially PD, was very kind and tried their best to accommodate us – their friendliness really stands out. However, the rest of the experience was extremely disappointing. The first villa was located so far from everything that we decided to move to a regular Seaview Room — a smooth process, thanks to the staff. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives ended. The “sea view” is completely blocked by a huge tree right in front of the balcony, and the room itself is in terrible condition. The furniture is old and dirty, the phone looks like it hasn’t been cleaned in years, and the shower head and holder are hanging loosely from the wall. The worst part, however, is the smell. The room has a strong, musty, almost unbearable odor that gets even worse when you return after breakfast. It’s clearly caused by the extremely high humidity in the room — even the air conditioning, not even in drying mode, can’t fix it. Housekeeping had placed a fragrance lamp inside, which only made things worse. To make matters worse, I had a frustrating experience with room service. I placed an order through the Minor app — as I had received a pairing code upon check-in, which clearly implied the hotel uses this system. After waiting for an hour, I called reception, only to be told that the staff had no idea I had ordered anything through the app. I ended up canceling the order and went to bed hungry. Even small details are unacceptable for a four-star property: the pool towels had massive holes in them — not just small tears, but large, visible holes — and yet they were still being handed out to guests. What also left an odd impression was how persistently we were asked to leave a review during our stay — repeatedly, and sometimes by staff members we had never interacted with before. We were even handed QR codes and told which names to specifically mention in our review, which felt uncomfortable and inappropriate. It honestly makes me sad to write this, because I’m a loyal Avani and Anantara guest and usually have wonderful experiences, especially as a Platinum member. PD and the front desk team truly do their best, but their friendliness alone cannot compensate for how severely run-down and neglected this hotel is. This property is in desperate need of renovation and proper maintenance. Sadly, I would not return and cannot recommend it in its current state.

While overall loved it here, there were certain concerns. We booked a so called "family suite" which we found rather small for a family of 4 (2 children). There was only one washroom which is inadequate and needs attention as that could improve. View from the pool is amazing and so is the cafe by the side. break fast spread was good but a few more vegetarian options would be nice for people like us. The staff was awesome especially Natty. she was so sweet. The service here was fast and efficient. Location is excellent bang in the middle of the most happening area.

Top notch location, beach is at stone throw distance. Resort has beautiful views from the infinity pool. We personally enjoyed the breakfast buffet. Great eggs, whipped cream and chocolate sauce, also do try the tom yam sauce. All baked good were mildly sweet, so we liked it. All staff were welcoming, had big smiles on their faces and warm. Sanjay took personal interest in our experience and dining.
