This was my third time staying here. Was an awesome week to say the least. To start our butlers Ernesto and Dorian were amazing they had all our dinner reservations, spa appointments, daily chairs by the pool and so much more taken care of for us, they work hard to make your vacation relaxing and enjoyable. The restaurants are first class the food is some of the best I have had. The one meal that stood out the most was our last we had Gustavo, he was amazing from the start and to top it off he wished us a safe trip home and hoped to see us again and wrote a special note on my wife’s dessert plate. The pool is the best part the staff there was absolutely the best we had some amazing servers Farit, Michael, Elias, Fabiola, and Javier. This is a huge resort so be prepared to walk but that’s ok there is tons to see and do. This place is only getting started I would highly recommend it.

Very disappointing, I do not recommend We stayed at this resort during the New Year period, and it was a complete disappointment. From day one, problems never stopped. We booked a room for 2 adults and 2 children, but the sofa bed had no sheets or cover, only a bare mattress. Housekeeping and the lobby never answered the phone. I went in person, was told someone would come, but after more than 2 hours, no one showed up. The next day, we only received an apology, no solution. Every day around 10:30 a.m., there were no pool towels available unless you paid someone to bring them from inside the hotel. Most pool chairs were blocked under fake “member” reservations, clearly to force guests to pay $70 for a chair or bed. The same situation applies to kids’ areas. The kids’ arcade is not included, everything is paid, availability is very limited, and poorly managed. À la carte restaurants were impossible to book, even when trying daily from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. We later found out reservations can be made months in advance with no penalties for no-shows, leaving guests already at the resort with no access at all. The beach has very few chairs and almost no activities. The pool water was freezing, and most of the pool is reserved for kayaking, leaving very little space for regular swimming. Poolside food service can take up to 2 hours. The resort is extremely cheap. Very limited fruit at breakfast and no fruit at all at lunch or dinner, despite repeated requests. Completely unacceptable for a resort. They do not provide drinking water in the rooms unless you specifically request it. Every single day, we had to call and ask for water to be brought to the room. Finally, most staff only speak Spanish, making communication very difficult. One of the worst resort experiences we’ve ever had. Absolutely not worth it. Do not recommend.

Benjamin was an outstanding server at Bayside Cafe—attentive, friendly, and highly professional from start to finish. He knew the menu well, made great recommendations, and checked on our table at just the right moments. His positive attitude truly enhanced our dining experience. Jesús, the host, was equally incredible. He welcomed us warmly, was very organized, and made us feel taken care of from the moment we arrived. Together, they provided exceptional service and made our visit memorable. Bayside Cafe is fortunate to have both of them on their team. We will definitely be back. We just returned from a week at AVA for the Legends of Paradise event. We had gone to the same event in September of 2024 and the resort was not ready. This time most everything was open and we had a much better experience. The rooms are nice, and the pools are incredible, but the thing that always makes our trips great is staff. Our butlers, Edgar and Moises were incredible. Edgar is always at AVA, so his knowledge was great, and Moises was brought in from Hard Rock Riviera Maya for the event, and he was also fantastic. They both checked in with us in person several times a day, and when we had some scheduling issues they fixed everything immediately. The pool staff at the members pool was very attentive and the entire hotel did a great job with the large number of members. Of course we really enjoyed the two concerts by Radio XX, and is very nice that the band members are staying at the hotel, and they make a huge effort to interact with all the guests and are great guys.

The hotel is near the airport so the ocean isn't what you'd expect. Barely anyone was in ocean, it just wasnt inviting. The hotel is new and beautiful. The mall is about a half mile long with restaurants and a couple of stores. It was the holiday week when we went so it was very crowded. Seats at the pools were at a premium. Members have priority. Room service was not the best, mostly did minimum. Getting a reservation at the 12 restaurants was also very difficult to get. We only were able to get to 2, because they were full. The French Chez Moi and The butcher. Both were very good. My wife and I both agree this place is great for families with children, but I think we won't be coming back as we are empty nesters.
