I had an amazing stay at AVA Resort Cancun! The service and staff were exceptional—everyone went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The highlight of our stay was definitely the long saltwater pool. It was the perfect place to relax and unwind, with plenty of space to swim or just lounge by the water. Although not all the restaurants were open yet, we still had enough options to try something new every day. We’re already looking forward to our next trip to try the ones we couldn’t fit into this stay. I’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend AVA Resort for anyone looking for a top-notch getaway in Cancun!

This resort is VERY much IN CONTRUCTION and should not be having guests for at least 1-2 years from now. I believe it WILL BE amazing in 2 years, but this review is based on my experience today. I was going to wait until I returned home to post this review and realize that would be doing a disservice to anyone looking to book now.
I am 100% disappointed and believe I am entitled to a refund based on “bait & switch laws”. We were lead to believe that the resort was mostly open and operational. FALSE. There are only three restaurants open and one bar. There are zero guest activities available. We have had the same exact food in the same exact 3 restaurants for seven nights and eight days. We are incredibly disappointed. There are zero open amenities here, the sports bar isn’t even open. So unless your ideal vacation is spending a fortune to sleep, eat the same food day & night, have zero entertainment and just lounge by the pool, do not book this resort for at LEAST 2 years.
When finished, this resort is going to have 16 restaurants, many (8+ I believe) bars, tons of activities and amenities. So keeping that in perspective, we were completely mislead. Right now, this resort is a LONG way from being mostly open. There isn’t even hot water in the shower, never mind choices in restaurants.
Wish me luck in recovering my losses. Even as a “Legendary Member,” there is no honor given to their guests when it comes to crediting back money. Everyone always hides behind the words “It’s not my decision, I’ll ask my manager” and there is never any follow up or resolution. You can see the consistency of that truth throughout all of these reviews. It’s really too bad because the people who do the day to day hospitality here are truly amazing. I wish the general manager, Fernando Garcia, as his name appears in the welcome message on my TV screen would step up and do HIS job.

Service rating is based on availability of things, not wait staff - wait staff is 5 stars
Location of the resort is far from everything (except airport) so unless you’re staying on property or doing an excursion with transportation included, it’s not close to downtown or nightlife. If property was fully operational, the location wouldn’t be as much of an issue.

Absolutely beautiful resort! You should GO!!! Quality everywhere is second only to the genuinely caring staff! I wish I could personally recognize everyone we met from day one, when we were warmly greeted by Jillian to day seven when he personally came to wish us farewell at our departure. Loved our professional Spa technicians. Veranda restaurant is our favorite for dinner. Thank you to all, including Jonathan and Chef Julio for making our last dinner so relaxing and truly special! ❤️

Beautiful resort with large rooms all with awesome views. We went as Legendary members to the soft opening. Food was great, very friendly staff. They were very helpful. Our butlers Edgar and AB did a great job. Not all was finished but still a great time. Can only imagine how great it will be when it’s all done.

The service, food and amenities are really good, despite the hotel is still under construction.
The butlers Rafael and Plutarco are just A+ they have been helpful and everything that we had needed they managed to provide it.
It is a shame that the AVA kids club is not open yet because I’m pretty sure that will be awesome, I saw some pictures and looks amazing.
I recommend you to visit the hotel specially once everything is open so you can enjoy it more but as it is I would say that you can have an excellent vacations as the one we are having.
