HONEST OPINION!!!! During my stay at Aurora Oriental I have noticed that the staff work incredibly hard(cleaners,gardeners,chefs). The hotel itself is in an amazing location around bars and shops. However.. the entertainment is absolutely awful… rarely any entertainment during the day and if so it’s not as enjoyable. During the evening there is kids club. They have multiple bars..such as a beach bar that isn’t open most evenings. During the day by the pool they give you drinks in expresso cups which isn’t enough in 40degrees heat. I loved my time in Egypt and at Aurora Oriental, I just wish there was more entertainment/activities in the hotel. UPDATE- 2 days after writing this review on Google I got forced to change it in front of one of the animations team and they took a picture as “proof” of me writing it however I did not post it because it wasn’t true. I also got told if I wanted better entertainment to go to a different hotel!

Our stay at The Aurora Oriental has been amazing. The hotel staff are all friendly and so helpful. The entertainment staff have been great. Pool/foam party, water polo, aqua aerobics and Zumba. Evening belly dancing and Egyptian spinning man. Evening beach party and evening trips to clubs. Couldn’t have been more helpful and certainly make you feel welcome and enjoy your holiday……highly recommend as it’s a great experience to be had by everyone of any age

Lovely hotel,great service,very good food,clean rooms very comfortable. The hotel would benefit from having a couple of lifts. It is mostly wheelchair accessible but you have to go around. One slope is particularly steep. Also having a floor level shower for disabled guests would be really beneficial. My husband struggled in the bath tube a lot. Otherwise staff went above and beyond and we will definitely be going back in the future. Can highly recommend. It would be great to have currency exchange in the reception.The ATM was ok to withdraw money from the card but it was never working for currency exchange.

My 4th time to Egypt and this hotel did bit disappoint. Beautiful hotel, always clean, always a huge choice for food, different every night. Hubby especially liked the grill outside. Rooms were nice, big comfy beds, everything we needed. Hotel staff were all so lovely, couldn't do enough for you. After a few days they remembered our drink choices. Had a meal in the Italian which was absolutely beautiful. The hotel grounds are beautiful, and so well kept. The staff were out there all day every day doing something. The beach is lovely, nice long pier, lots of sea life underneath for a great snorkeling experience. Always lots going on throughout the day with the animation team. They always make time to stop by our sun loungers and have a chat. Always engaged us in activities, the boys especially enjoyed water polo and darts. Evening entertainment was good, either in the amputheatre or at the beach, our favourite was the fire show. The animation team did get me up and involved with some dancing and I had a spin in the skirt which was a blast. We did go out with the animation team on 2 of our evenings, next door to hard rock. The animation team really looked after us, we all stayed together, including leaving together. Azra, Abozaid Pepo and Victoria really made our holiday. A great bunch, an absolute pleasure to have met them. Azra was new to being on the animation team, and was still learning when we got there. But she was absolutely fantastic! We would definitely come back!

In comparison to most five-star resorts in Sharm El-Sheikh and Hurghada that I've visited over the years, Aurora Oriental Resort actually surpassed my expectations. Quite an amazing hotel. The beach was very good, the water never too deep, and there were some coral areas with colorful fishes. The water was crystal clear, you didn't need a snorkeling kit to see them (bring yours because it's fun though). Needles, puffers, butterflies, wrasses, parrots, Picassos, and a dozen other fish species. They weren't numerous but all very pretty. The restaurant was beyond perfect, every single dish was a culinary masterpiece, and there was a remarkable variety of dishes and cuisines. The staff were very active and attentive and made sure everyone was comfortable. It was the best restaurant compared to over a dozen other five-star hotels I've been to in Sharm. Special thanks to the manager Mr. Mohamed ElNagar. The room was excellent, not a single complaint there. The largest king (emperor?) bed ever, and a wide sofa bed. Very comfortable and clean. The housekeeper did a fine job. There were many pools and they weren't crowded at all despite the hotel being at full occupancy. Clean and relaxing, most with a dedicated bar, with clearly marked depth level. The hotel landscape was beautiful too, with large green areas and many types of trees and ornamental flowers. The front desk personnel were helpful and efficient, both check-in and check-out were a breeze. The animation team were alright but some more activities should have been arranged. Some of the villa owners let loose their dogs on the beach. Not everyone found them cute, some guests hated them. All in all a very pleasant surprise, this is a true five-star resort and deserves a 10/10 rating compared to most of Sharm's resorts. Wholeheartedly recommended.
