The Location is okay. The entertainment there was getting on our nerves to be honest because 1. It was (only) in french, one guy was nice he was walking around and was asking us in English if we wanna join something (the only one - the other animators barely said hello) 2. It was tooooo loud. They we were standing around the corner (not everyone had the opportunity to see them) and “talking into a microphone (in french) wasn’t interesting for people who didn’t understand French. So we were disturbed by all that “noise”. We just wanted to relax and enjoy the weather. The food was okay. It wasn’t the best and not the worst. We found stuff we liked, it was often very cold. The Hotel stuff was very kind to us. Expect one lady who seemed to hate her job, everyone was super nice and we liked them very much. You have to walk to the beach (also can take the bus I think) it’s about 5-10 min. That wasn’t too bad for us, but it’s build in a hill, so be aware of that it takes a little Sport session. You don’t have to possibility to walk along the beach. The beach area is very small. They also have a gym. That was enough for me. Our time was good there, we enjoyed it but would never choose this hotel again.

Where do I start?? Arrived 2am due to flight delay. Fine, check I'm was smooth, give sandwiches and water, which was cool, wasn't expecting anything more. Then bus dropped us to out room, driver helped with luggage. Very friendly... Room had great views, very basic, not 5 star more 3/4 star... The resort is massive There are a lot of stairs and like a maze, initially difficult to navigate but you get the hang of it. We're in our late 20's so stairs was fine for us, liked the climb and walk, I can see why some people complain but not a big issue, exterior or buildings absolutely beautiful & pool decent. We paid for the couples massage, was amazing and the Spa can't fault them.. fantastic.. but that's where it ends.... the Hotel is not a 5 star hotel, I don't know how they managed to claim that's. Very low 4 star but really a 3 star if you take away the pool and Spa.. the food was okay, nothing amazing, pizza at dinner was the best, breakfast basic. Cocktails made at the bar, all poor and sugary, no real effort and terrible. This is a very French oriented hotel and most things are in French, with the odd English here and there, the staff initially speak French but when notice we could understand spoke English. The entertainment was all in French. So you do feel a bit second glass... We found cockroaches in our room after dinner on the 3rd day!! My wife absolutely terrified of them couldn't and didn't want to sleep in the room. I called reception, only to be told there's nothing they can do, after some protest they sent one of the drivers down to inspect. I told him and showed him where I killed the cockroaches & he was basically like okay back to bed. I told him you guys need to change our room, he called reception who rebuffed our calls for a different room. We were very tired and told him at least for them to spray the room, they could br more. Driver left got the spray and came back to which had to leave and stay the room for 40 mins at 1am.. I was told the hotel manager would call me to speak to me in the morning... that didn't happen. The level of service... poor, facilities decent. Food mediocre and rooms mediocre. To round things of our flight was delayed a day, so we booked a hotel called seaside view...5 stars absolutely flawless and impeccable... AMAZING... & exactly what a 5 star hotel is... I will not be returning to Athina Palace & will never recommend my friends either... 3star rating is very generous from me

The hotel is nice but is not a 5 star. If you expect 5 star you will be very disappointed. It is a maximum of 3 stars. In restaurants and reception, they are very helpful and responsive. All willing to help. Rooms cleaning is not as for a 5 star. Management needs to change their procedures and give priority to safety! Also, some renovation is needed.

Only the view and the location are good. The hotel is definitely not a 5 star resort, 3+ maximum! Everything is very old and needs a renovation. Dirty and old-fashioned. The beach towels are old, torn and should be replaced long time ago. The food is at the canteen level, definitely not a 5 star resort restaurant. The quality of the meat or fish leave much to be desired… breakfast - very poor choice, powder eggs, cheap hams, bad looking sausages with strange over salted taste, refurbished products from the previous day dinner. Lunch - menu more less is the same for every day… chicken with bones and cartilages, even the pork is hard to chew… fish is over salted and very dry… salads are ok, but pasta, rice and french fries are below acceptable level. Dinner is only ok sometimes, but not every time. It’s a shame, that some of the dinners, the pizza was the only descent option to have a meal. The drinks for all inclusive guests are with low quality and small amount of alcohol. The cocktail menu is very poor, even the coffee is disgusting. If you see a cocktail menu at the pool or a beach bar with the prices, don’t be in a hurry to make an order (that’s not for you), as for the all inclusive package guest you will be thrown a laminated card with simple cocktails, based on a cheap local alcohol. The prices for the cocktails out of the all inclusive menu are twice higher than in normal bar and taste the same, despite the known brand alcohol inside. 9-12 euro for one drink is way too expensive. Don’t expect any smile from the resort staff, there is a feeling that they work as punishment that you cause… Unless you speak French or give some tips… Animation and all of the entertainment is only in French, so if you don’t speak French - it’s not for You, as we were told by the animation staff and the door was closed in front of the face without any apologizes. Later on, the receptionist apologized, ensured us that the animation is for all the guest and should be provided in English language as well and promised to talk to the animators manager, but French language remained as the only one to entertain the guests… All the schedule, announcements and any written info regarding animation and events was only in French and not available for other guests. You should prepare in advance some euro coins to be able to play billiard, aero hockey or any other table games, as it’s not free of charge and that’s the only activity for the evening… Be advised, that the disco night is opening at 23.00, and by the chance, the all inclusive benefits also finish at 23.00… so, you have to pay for a drink… The hotel is old! The food is not acceptable for a 5 star hotel! The quality of the drinks is not acceptable at all! The animation is a joke if you don’t know French, I would say even irritating as you don’t understand any single word and feel yourself out sorted! The staff is not friendly and not helpful… The quality for a value is a robbery, but not a vacation!!!

The place was great, great views, great services. It is also a good place for people who love cats except for ones who are allergic. Rooms were okay. The typical 3-star hotel rooms. What kind of bothers me is that the windows don't have those netting that keep mosquitoes away. I was bitten by them a lot, especially when sleeping. Other than that, it's great for french tourists, good for English tourists, a bit difficult for German tourists. :)
