The experience was terrific. Both beach and ocean villas were really outstanding. Especially the ocean pool villa was impeccable, though the property is a bit old but still offers mesmerizing views and the best of facilities. The food was also unexpectedly quite good and had sufficient Indian options. Even their snorkelling and scuba experience was also excellent. Overall, the experience was just fantastic. Just one issue was there that service could have been slightly better.

We’re coming from the US for the first time to the Maldives. The entire experience was more magical than I could’ve imagined. The staff are genuinely the nicest people. I got sick on the trip and couldn’t make it to dinner one day, so they inquired about where I was, and offered to deliver food to my room. Everything was on time. Everything was clean. The room and the views from all angles are amazing. We stayed in the in-Ocean Villa and ate at all the restaurants. Even with our vegetarian restriction, the food was all very good. Would highly recommend the full dining package. The island beaches were very clean and peaceful. We spent hours just enjoying the view. The snorkeling and kayaking experiences were also 10/10. We did not do the additional paid excursions, but heard good things from guests who did them. Sunsets were magical and you will not see them anywhere else in the world. Would highly recommend this resort to anyone trying to take the most relaxing vacation

Fantastic resort. Food is excellent, especially the fish. Breakfast omelette real treat. Yet to try the water sports, but reports are excellent from fellow guests. Spa treatment is rightly advertised as world class.

We've been there for 10 days now and it was just fantastically beautiful... we had an InOcean villa with a pool and just enjoyed every day there. The service is great and the food offers a wide variety, whether buffet or a la carte, there is something for everyone. A very nice facility and the staff is the friendliest we have ever experienced...The people who work there deserve more than 5 stars!!! We'll definitely be back.

My husband and I came here and the end of our honeymoon for 6 days. When I tell you the was the best trip of our lives, I mean it to the fullest extent. From the moment we landed in the sea plane, we knew this was going to be a dream.
The entire experience was incredible. We first stayed in a beachfront villa and then moved to an in-ocean villa. I would always suggest doing this combination. You are much more connected to the island experience when you stay on the island. Staying in the in-ocean villa to finish the trip was the most incredible part of the trip. We were lucky enough to stay in the biggest villa (just the two of us). We felt like we were living in a dream. It was magical--the pool, snorkeling first thing in the morning when the sun came up, all of the areas to sit and lounge outside, the giant bed, the incredible bathtub and shower--I can still visualize every detail.
Food: lots of options. We liked to eat at the pool bar on the beach. I felt the selection of food was generally better there. We ate at the buffet most nights--the theme changes each night and we really enjoyed it. We at at the restaurant near the in-ocean villas--this was also very good. We did not get any extras or pay to have food that was not included in our package--a very smart decision.
Spa: I had a massage--it was the best massage and most relaxing experience I have ever had. The spa seems as if it is on another island. You are outdoors, yet hear absolutely nothing except for nature sounds. I highly recommend getting a spa treatment.
Staff: We were lucky enough to meet Sebastian one of our first nights. He was very friendly, committed to his work, and we out of his way to make sure we had the best trip ever. Generally, the staff is very committed and "all in" to their work. On our last night, there was a big buffet on the island and it was full of people sitting indoors and outdoors. Suddenly, it started pouring rain. The staff was so quick to bring in tables and chairs, make sure everyone was seated as quickly and comfortably as possible. It was amazing to see everyone in crisis mode, working as hard as they could for all of us. We felt very lucky to be cared for by them and made sure to recognize their hard work.
Cons: the ONLY con I have is not related to Angsana Velavaru, but to the environment itself. There were black ants on the beach that came into our room from time to time. I have a fear of black ants, so this was a challenge. Luckily, they spray regularly and provided extra spray for us to use when needed. We were thrilled to know there are no ants in the in-ocean villas :)
All-in-all, this was the trip of a lifetime and we often think about it. The perfect honeymoon destination and resort. Thank you for making it so special for us. We will never forget it.
