We loved this resort! We did the presentation, but wasn't in a place to purchase. However, the gentleman that gave our presentation was not pushy at all. We really enjoyed the activities, and the bars/restaurants. Everyone was very accommodating and have the best, funnest personalities! Duracell with the activities gave us the utmost attention and left us with a lifetime of memories. He even took us for a walk down the peer and pointed out many jellyfish, barracuda, and many other sea life, as well as the fascinating plants as we passed them. Thank you Duracell! Also Rosa in activities. And a shout out to Sandy the bartender for making the most delicious drinks. I wish I had time to name everyone. You guys are great! Keep it up!

Okay, I know there are a lot of differing reviews on this place, but I am going to say that the resort itself needs some more TLC. We were told that it will be a two year process to get it up to the standards they are looking for. The service people are fantastic! In the restaurants they work very hard to make your vacation a total relaxing success. The pool activities are not quite what you would expect from a resort but they are trying. The food, well, too many buffets for our liking and not a whole lot of variety on them. The rooms have cosmeticly been redone but work still needs to be done to make them great. Doors are warped, handles are missing, cupboards have ragged edges from the humidity. Overall we had an enjoyable time.

I am absolutely amazed at the rave reviews this place has gotten. It was the worst location ever!. It is no where near the beach. The shuttle which takes you to the beach runs between 10-5p.m. There are 2 pools on the property which closes at 6 p.m. There is 1 restaurant and a pool side pop-up type dining. Very limited options. If you get hungry or want snacks late evening, you are simply out-of luck. There is nothing but construction going on around the property. You won't be site seeing, shopping, or anything remotely entertaining to pass time. They do have a friendly helpful staff. The rooms are definitely spacious and cleanish. Our room was next door to one which was being renovated, so it was super dusty in our entryway. Everything looked clean, but when the towel was on the floor in front of the shower it was covered in filth from the floor. The floors could definitely use a little soap and water. While there, we were unable to access the gym due to a malfunction of the fingerprint machine. The staff member would not unlock the door for our early morning workout. Yes he had the key. There is no early morning breakfast. Breakfast starts at 8am. The other restaurants in the courtyard are not included in your package. They are not affiliated with the resort. We were unable to get wash cloths once we arrived to our room. We called the dek several times and never received them. We decided to end our stay after the first night. It was just not a good place to spend your hard earned money. If you are thinking of staying here don't! I promise you will thank me later. The photos are misleading at best.

The rep that help us to confirm was very informative and made the confirmation process very easy. We will see once we get to our destination if it's as easy as she says that it'll be. We're back from our destination...NEVER GO TO SPORTS ILLUSTRATED!!!!! Please look at my pictures attached to this review. I'm not sure who is to blame, but Sports Illustrated blames it on Monster Reservations, and Monster Reservations blames it on Sports Illustrated. Either way the conditions were deplorable! The resort shuts everything down by 11p.m. It's a retirement community, and that's fine if that's what you go on vacation to experience. I'm a registered nurse, and I felt that I caught C-Diff by just walking into the room. I work as a travel nurse so the 1st that I do at any stay is pull back the bedding to check for bed bugs or any indications of mites or anything, and to my surprise you'll see what my sheets looked like. It was close to impossible to get a supervisor to come and look at the conditions of the room. NOT CLEAN AT ALL NO WHERE!!! The bathroom floor was not mopped....we none of the suite was mopped. The counter was dusty as if it had not been dusted in weeks. The decor is something that I wouldn't even put in a resort that only caters to animals let alone a human being. The vase was cracked 360 degrees around, why not take the vase out? Why leave that in there for someone's child to be cut or hurt by the vase? The geico's are not shy of people. I've been to P.R...hell I live in Phoenix so I'm no stranger to reptiles. However, I do know that with proper extermination, they won't be a problem. Therefore, they aren't exterminating like they're supposed to. When I spoke with monster about the conditions, they said that I should speak with someone onsite and that my room could not be changed through them. Onsite personnel didn't get me out of the room until the following day when I indicated that I was going online to find some place else to stay. Why did I have to stay in the room for a day under those conditions? Needless to say that I didn't get any sleep because you can hear the geicos scurrying over the counter tops. We didn't have a view... our view was of the landfill. That's what monster doesn't tell you all. They have a section at the resort for monster clients. It's in the colored-people section (WAAAAYYYY in the back where you can only see the construction workers building on a private portion of the resort). The patio was full of lizard poop and had not been hosed down in God knows how long, so I could not even sit out there if I wanted to because of how unclean it was from geicos and lizards pooping all over everything. I really want my money back from Monster because of how deplorable the conditions were. I have 2 more years to take the remainder of my 2 trips because of something Monster was offering to 1st responders at my job. I can only hope my next 2 vacations will make up for the horrific experience that I had with Monster at the Sports Illustrated resort in Punta Cana D.R. The food was terrible, and I thought that I could give my gut a break from the resort dining by going to the Italian restaurant on the resort....don't waste your money. Save your gut, and your wallet...JUST DON'T GO!!! Watch where you're stepping in the grass because they say that you can't bring your dogs on the resort, but I guess people that are owners or vacation frequently brought their dogs, but didn't clean up the dog droppings. Imagine walking through the grass barefoot and stepping in dog poop. They need to make sure that people are picking up after their dogs, and if they are ensuring that then they need to have people that work on the resort to pick up after people's dogs. The only good thing that I have to say is that the drinks were good, and they used real liquor (not the watered down stuff that most resorts like to use). Hope this saves someone

Absolutely awful. It has been three weeks and they still have not returned my $190 fee that was supposed to be returned within 24 hours of leaving. This was charged to my card for incidentals. I have spoken to monstergg reservations on multiple times that have made the reservation as well as called the resort to no avail. My first room had black mold in the ceiling and an awful smell that made me sick with a headache and nausea. I finally got the room changed at 10 PM that night the first day they were supposed to pick me up at the airport and I waited for an hour and then I waited two hours for t to give me my room key. so although I traveled all day, my first day was basically wasted and my room had black mold when I went down to the pool the towels for the pool closed at 5:30 and I did not get into my room until 515. This is a huge place, and there are no signs and everybody gets lost. There was also no side of any security on the property felt very deserted and scary. It took me an hour and a half to find my room I had requested a room close to the restaurant and activities and on the first floor since the Dominican Republic has frequent power outages, they gave me a fifth floor room Away from everything when I requested a change the room they were going to give me had a worse smell and look of black mold which I posted on another site. Pool closes at 7 PM at night, which is ridiculous since it is still light out and this is supposed to be a vacation resort The food was very mediocre and a number of people got sick. I have been to this country many times love the country love the people, but this was the worst vacation ever. Also they were supposed to send a golf cart to take me to the restaurants and frequently. Just forgot to send it when I called. They said that they would send it and then nobody ever showed upto go to the beach to one of the vans and you’re stuck there for at least two hours the beach was extremely rocky which she that would cut your feet. The two excursions I tried to sign up for already booked. also, there was a rusty nail right in front of the chair that I was sitting on lucky that I saw it. It was a huge Rusty now at the pool that was deserted. There is all sorts of construction going on from early in the morning to late at night , They still owe me $190 .stay away. Worst vacation ever.!
