Just had an amazing stay at Anantara Vilamoura Algarve Resort! The rooms were spacious and modern, and the staff couldn't have been friendlier. We enjoyed the variety of delicious dining options and the beautiful pool areas. Perfect for a relaxing and luxurious getaway – highly recommend!
PS : Try the Thai pop up best Thai food I ever had !

Transfer from Faro airport took around 30 minutes, which was a smooth and quick journey. The check-in and check-out processes were very efficient, setting a positive tone for our stay. The hotel boasts three restaurants: The Victoria, the main buffet restaurant; Ria, specializing in seafood; and Sensi (I may have spelled that incorrectly), serving Asian fusion cuisine.
We were on a Jet2 Indulgent Escape, which included a half-board package. This meant that The Victoria was our go-to spot for both breakfast and dinner. However, if we wanted to dine at the other restaurants, we received a 30 Euros per person credit toward the bill. The food was excellent, with lavish breakfast and dinner buffets at The Victoria, where the dinner theme changed nightly.
The seafood at Ria was outstanding, and I found myself indulging in the rich seafood rice, giving way to gluttony. During our stay, Sensi had the services of a Thai chef, and it was the best green curry I've ever eaten. The poolside food was delicious as well, with great burgers that hit the spot.
Our room was clean and comfortable, with consumables replaced regularly. There appeared to be plenty of sunbeds to go around. We didn't venture out at first light to lay out towels like some guests, but we had no trouble finding a sunbed whenever we needed one.
The staff were friendly and provided great service, complete with personality. An extra constellation of stars goes to their disability awareness; as a blind person, I never experienced any "does he take sugar" type moments, which was refreshing.
The hotel is located in a somewhat isolated area, which is why they offer a complimentary shuttle to Vilamoura each day. At the time of our stay, there was some construction work taking place nearby. While there was some noise and dust, it was nothing we couldn't cope with.
The sun shone, the wine flowed, the pool was inviting, the food was good, the staff were friendly and seemed happy to be there, and the bill for the extras was fair. There was nothing to dislike and every reason to return once the construction is completed. Happy days.

Excellent hotel, buffet was outstanding.
Needs better signage throughout the building and site. A bit more for the children would improve it but all in all I would go back.

We’ve just got back from a week here, so disappointing and not what you’d expect from a 5 star.
Pools were freezing, no childrens activities were put on even though they had a list of what they’d do each day.
Walls in the hotel were grubby and need a good repaint and carpet was what you’d expect to see in a premier inn.
Construction drilling going on and not told when booking or when arriving at the hotel.
Steps everywhere outside with no ramp access to certain parts of the pool so very unfriendly for pushchairs/ disabled.
Wouldn’t return especially if you have children, it’s not child friendly.

Hotel was very nice, staff very pleasant. I very high sufficient was let down by a lack of follow-up on small issues. Light on wardrobe did not work, asked for it to be replaced not fixed still week. Asked for a missing waste paper basket, never came. The two coffee cups were removed mid week had to ask constantly to finally have them then returned on the last evening. Was quite frustrating on what was supposed to be a relaxing holiday. Could have escalated but again not what I want to do on my vacation. So they lost them delivered down on stuff they could have done better.
