Christelle Rajoie
We stayed at Anantara Sir Bani Yas Island in November, and the experience was truly exceptional. The island is stunning, the hotel is beautiful, and the atmosphere is peaceful and luxurious. What really made the difference, however, was the incredible kindness and professionalism of the staff. Special thanks to Santosh and Hassan at the reception for their warm welcome and constant attention, Dilky, Jaison, and Yanira at the restaurants for their friendliness and excellent service, the entire drivers team for their professionalism and care, and the Spa Manager, as well as Desak and her colleague, for their exceptional treatments and truly magical hands. Every interaction was thoughtful and made us feel genuinely cared for throughout our stay. We would also like to thank all the team members whose names we may not know, but who contributed every day with their smiles, dedication, and professionalism to making our stay so special. A very special mention to Jonathan, our guide during the excursion, who helped us discover the island in an exceptional way. We learned so much thanks to his knowledge and passion. An unforgettable stay that we highly recommend. Christelle & Sandra

⭐️⭐️ (2/5) Unfortunately, our experience at Al Yamm Resort was disappointing due to the lack of hospitality and support from the duty manager, Hussam. From the moment we interacted with him, there was no sense of welcome. When we asked for recommendations to help us plan our day at the hotel, he simply answered questions literally without offering any suggestions, ideas, or initiative — which is the bare minimum expected from a duty manager, especially at a luxury resort. We were clearly looking for guidance, yet nothing was recommended. What made the experience worse is that he also did not assist us with booking a restaurant. We were left struggling and eventually had to rely on the buggy driver, Santosh, who was extremely polite, helpful, and proactive. Santosh went out of his way to recommend activities and help us, which honestly highlighted how little support we received from the duty manager himself. Additionally, calling the hotel from the room phone was extremely frustrating. No one answered our calls at all, and the only way to get a response was by pressing the emergency button, which is unacceptable and concerning for a resort of this standard. In contrast, our experience at Anantara Desert Island Hotel was the complete opposite. The duty manager there, Retno, welcomed us with the warmest smile, personally involved the chef to help us order, and continued assisting us until 12:00 AM — despite the outlet closing at 10:00 PM. That is true hospitality and dedication. Retno truly represents what a duty manager should be, unlike the experience we had with Hussam at Al Yamm Resort. The difference in service was striking and disappointing.

Our recent stay at Anantara Sir Bani Yas Island was extremely disappointing compared to our previous visits. The service quality has clearly declined and no longer reflects Anantara’s standards. When we contacted reception to inform them we were visiting another property on the island, staff questioned us unnecessarily about our reasons and plans, making a simple request feel uncomfortable and overly complicated. This is a clear downgrade from the professionalism and smooth service we experienced before. At Olio Restaurant, we were forced to choose a full or half board just to be able to order food, with no prior clarification. The prices paid were unjustifiably high and completely mismatched the quality and value of the food. Overall, the experience was not worth the cost, which is very disappointing given our previous positive stays.

Not the « WOW » effect I was expecting… First of all the place itself is absolutely amazing!! No doubt and no contestation regarding this. Now, the issues I have faced : -ferry time 35 mins + bus to hotel 20 mins That’s a 55 mins ride on top of the 3.5 hours I have drove from Dubai There was no beverage provided while waiting for the ferry or when we arrived at the hotel -processing document checking in etc took very long when we arrived -rooms are ok but mine was not facing the beach as it was described on the website -no refreshment in the mini bar only water -food extremely expansive and very average quality -laundry service overpriced (350 AED for cleaning my suit and my shirt) -wrong suitcases delivered to my villa -some of the staff dont understand English especially the waiters in the restaurant -all activities are chargeable Overall I really liked the place but I paid 4,000 AED (1,200$) for 2 nights I was expecting something more luxury and more attention from Anantara Also with all the extras like restaurants, activities, drinks etc I ended up paying a total bill of 6,000 AED (1,500$) For that price there is much more luxury places to visit in UAE Very average service from the team, I won’t come back and won’t recommend I thought Anantara company was way more exclusive and high-end than what I have experienced

The island itself is amazing, but Anantara there is very poor. Service is below average 2 star hotel, food for room dine in is awful. Villas are old and need maintenance. In general it’s not Anantara level and hope that resorts in such a beautiful place will become much better
