Anantara Hoi An is amazing! The property is gorgeous and so calm, even though it’s right in the middle of the city. It’s just a short walk to the old market, but once you’re inside, it feels like a peaceful little escape. The staff were fantastic - super friendly and helpful. Honestly, such a perfect spot to relax and still be close to everything!

**Mixed Experience – Outstanding Service, But Disappointing Facilities** This review is difficult for me to write because my concerns aren’t primarily about the service—which was exceptional—but rather the hotel’s design, infrastructure, and amenities. While Anantara Hoi An is listed as a five-star property, only the staff truly met that standard. The rooms, facilities (including the pool, restaurant, and gym), and overall aesthetic fell far short of my expectations for a luxury hotel. Even the food, while decent, didn’t match five-star standards. The quality and presentation were more akin to what you’d find in an airport lounge—perfectly edible, but not memorable or refined. The biggest letdown was the bathroom. The shower head leaked, and the sanitary ware—toilet, fixtures, and finishes—felt more like what you’d find in a budget motel than a high-end resort. For a brand like Anantara, I expected refined design and premium quality, but the experience was underwhelming. That said, the staff went above and beyond, and their hospitality was the saving grace of our stay. As this was my first time at an Anantara property, I’m hesitant to book with the brand again unless I can confirm significant improvements in the physical aspects of their hotel. The hotel was clean.

In arrival was treated by the most friendliest staff who made the place a very warm and welcoming. Took an upgrade room to a larger room which was absolutely fabulous. The location is perfect to get round the town and close to the markets, coffee shops, wine bars and restaurants. Over looking the river makes it a very scenic view to look at the boats going past with the patterns all light up. Have 2 restraunts one being Vietnamese and one western so cater for a wide variety of flavours. But due to location if fancy eating out its handle located to numerous other eating places.

Everything was good about our stay. The room and service were lovely. The pool area has lots of shade. Poolside lunches were excellent. We didn’t have dinner at the hotel as do many options in town. Probably not worth us paying for an upgrade to to riverside room as we were so busy partying in Hoi An, we hardly noticed the views. Hotel is highly recommended

Unbeatable hotel in Hoi An, the staff were incredible, food amazing, all the small details made our stay perfect. Very close to Old Town, an easy walk to everything. Highly recommend the sunset cruise which the hotel will arrange for you. Ba Na Hills with a private driver also well worth a day trip from here. We will be back to Anantara!
