We spent six days at the Anantara Downtown Dubai Hotel with our family, primarily for leisure. I chose this hotel because I had previously stayed at the Anantara Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky Amsterdam and was truly impressed by the level of service there. Accordingly, my expectations were high—and they were fully met. What stands out most is the warmth and professionalism of the entire hotel team. For me, the interaction with the staff is at the heart of a luxury hotel experience, and this was once again delivered at a very high level at Anantara. It is clear that hospitality is a genuine priority for the team. The hotel’s location is excellent, with many major attractions easily accessible. The Burj Khalifa is about a 15-minute walk away or just a 5-minute taxi ride. My GHA DISCOVERY membership was very generously recognized, including a double room upgrade as well as additional benefits and complimentary services. Once again, the Anantara brand has left a lasting impression on us, and we look forward to returning.

We had a very enjoyable experience at the hotel. The facilities were excellent—clean, well-maintained, and comfortable. Everything was easy to access, and the environment felt welcoming and relaxing. The dinner was another highlight . The food was delicious, beautifully presented, and offered a great variety of dishes. The dining staff were attentive and made the experience even better. Overall, we was very satisfied with both the facilities and the dinner. We would gladly return and recommend it to others.

An outstanding massage experience at Anantara Downtown Dubai. I booked a two-hour treatment and was welcomed with exceptional professionalism and care from the very first moment. I arrived with a strong headache, and the therapist recommended peppermint essential oil — an excellent choice. The combination of skilled techniques, gentle movements, and high-quality oils made the massage deeply relaxing and wonderfully rejuvenating. I left the spa feeling completely renewed, light, and entirely headache-free. Every detail of the experience was handled with precision, calmness, and true expertise. I highly recommend the two-hour massage to anyone looking for a world-class treatment. A truly restorative experience that is absolutely worth it.

Very Disappointing Experience at Anantara Downtown Dubai Our stay at Anantara Downtown Dubai was disappointing and far below expectations, especially for a hotel that presents itself as family-friendly and high-quality. From the very first day, we faced a serious problem. Despite staying with two children aged 11 and 9, the hotel did not provide the extra beds upon check-in. We were told that only one extra bed could be placed in a 52 m² room, which is completely unacceptable for a family. Even worse, we were indirectly pushed toward paying extra for something that should have been arranged in advance. This caused unnecessary stress and left a very bad first impression. The situation became worse with the hotel-organized desert safari. We were taken by the hotel’s car to the red desert. Later, we were told another camp was waiting for us, but on the way, in the middle of nowhere, we were forced to wait 30 -40 minutes among unknown people with no clear explanation. We were told stories about another car being stuck, but in reality, our time was simply wasted. Because of this poor organization, we completely missed the sunset, which was clearly included in the safari package. We also missed dune bashing and desert driving, which are the main highlights of such a tour. These experiences were taken away from us due to mismanagement. The camp itself was fine — the food and music were good — but this does not compensate for missing the core safari experience. When we reported all these issues through the hotel staff, our complaints were not taken seriously at all. The only compensation offered was 100 AED, which is frankly insulting considering the lost experiences, wasted time, and inconvenience. The alternative options suggested did not truly compensate for what we lost. Overall, this was a poorly managed stay, with broken promises and unacceptable customer service. We left very upset and disappointed. I would not recommend Anantara Downtown Dubai, especially for families expecting professionalism, proper planning, and fair treatment. P.S. Thank you for the excellet stay in Anantara Hotel down town 👍🥰 All the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The rooms were very nice and large, the hole hotel was simply top. A special thank you for Ansar, he was so kind and helpful. He provided us a car and driver twice at very reasonable rates. He kept in touch with me to ask if everything was alright and if there anything else he could do for us. We appreciate his very friendly and likeable nature.
