My stay at Anantara Angkor Resort was extraordinary. The traditional Khmer-inspired architecture and lush gardens created a serene atmosphere from the moment I arrived. The staff's warm welcome and exceptional service ensured a perfect experience. My suite was a haven of comfort, with elegant furnishings and a private balcony offering stunning garden views. The dining was a culinary delight, featuring a blend of local flavors and international cuisine. Breakfast was especially memorable, with a wide array of fresh options.

We had a great time and enjoyed our stay at Anantara. It’s a well known hotel so from the airport if you don’t have a pick up, it’s easy to get to. Also most tuk tuk drivers know the hotel. The hotel itself can set you up with a return tuk tuk trip which is quite helpful - it’s $5USD and can be charged to the room.
General/common areas: overall great space and very clean. They have a restaurant, bar, shops, fitness center, pool (with drink service) and spa on site. They also have pool tables and games and a spice garden you can visit. Throughout the week they also have classes and events that you can attend - unfortunately we didn’t get to try any.
Restaurant/Bar: the bar has one complimentary drink during your stay but this wasn’t advertised or communicated well by the staff - we only found out at the bar once we ordered the bill. The restaurant has free continental breakfast as a buffet but also a sit down menu for the eggs, omelettes etc - again this was communicated effectively to us and we only got to know on our last day. The restaurant is also quite hot and although there is AC it seems like it’s non existent. One of the days while grabbing a quick breakfast we did notice someone passing out from the heat - while nothing serious happened it just shows that they need more airflow. Drinks were great and they use a lot of the local herbs and spices grown on property in their infusions and garnishes. The food at the restaurant is decent - stay away from non Cambodian food. For breakfast they have western and Indian options and the one day we tried the omelette and another dish it was only somewhat edible as it lacked pretty much everything. Same for the dinner - the spring rolls, soup, fired noodles and green curry were spot on but western dishes were something we shouldn’t have ordered. Also one thing - cultural learning - they don’t use salt but rely on the natural flavors and saltiness of the meat and fish to add the salt. So if you are getting vegetarian items and without fish sauce you will need to salt your food - same with spice level.
Room: overall a great room - we had the opportunity to staying in the suite with the private plunge pool. The room itself is great in terms of having a safe, free water, fresh plate of fruits, bathrobes, hotel and pool slippers. Wi-Fi is great and quite fast. If you do decide to watch the TV the remote barely worked and perhaps only our room and a theme across the hotel. While the room is quite to have a private plunge pool, it does have access to it via your room but it is not as private as I should be - if you are around the area or walking by it’s quite visible and lacks privacy. The other issue we had with the plunge pool was that it wasn’t clean when we got there - debris from plants, insects and giant cobwebs across the pool and furniture which effectively rendered the plunge pool unusable until cleaned. The housekeeping staff was amazing - we never had to once call for housekeeping and the room would be fresh every time we came back - also amenities would be restocked. They also have a turn down service which was a pleasant surprise. The shower is somewhat small but water pressure is great and has constant hot water. One negative is the sink - way it’s set up it sometimes hard to wash your hands without splashing water everywhere and making a mess.

Away from the hustle bustle of the city Anantara Angkor resort is a little piece of heaven on a quiet street. The welcome with silk scarves and a feet wash in the spa is a great touch.
The General Manager, Mr. Supratik Guha is seen personally welcoming most if not all guests.
The rooms are beautifully appointed. We were in a premier terrace suite which was quite large and had a nice patio with an extension of the pool running alongside.
Great room amenities and gifts with turndown. Service were much appreciated.
We were there to celebrate our anniversary and the hotel went all out to make this a memorable stay.
A cake, flowers, canapés and a bottle of wine along with a beautifully decorated bed made our special day extra special.
Chi, their restaurant serves a great breakfast which is a great mix of a buffet and a la carte items.
Service is excellent. We also had lunches and a dinner here. All superb. Rie was our server at most times and she was a pleasure.
Bringing us cold towels and lemon iced tea after a long visit to Angkor Vat was such a nice touch. Thank you Ri!!
The spa is another great place here. Excellent service and wonderful treatments.
Thank you to SG and the entire team at this amazing resort.
