We very much enjoyed our stay at Amatara Welleisure Resort and can highly recommend this resort. The large, very well maintained property stretches out over a hill. It has beautiful ocean views from both infinity pools as well as from the restaurants and bar. The private hotel beach is on the smaller side, but nice and tranquil with sufficient shade. We liked the variety of foods at breakfast, especially the egg station, selection of fresh fruit and warm Thai dishes. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive, we felt very welcomed and taken care of. Another aspect of the resort we really liked was the offer of complimentary sport classes and beach activities. All classes we took were professionally instructed and fun. Our room (Bay view suite) was very spacious, had a comfy bed and all amenities one could wish for. The bathroom appliances were a little dated and could use some love (e.g. shower door isolation, sink drainage) but altogether we were extremely comfortable in the room. Regarding location: Cape Panwa is a calmer area on Phuket, relatively close to Phuket town. The hotel has a 7-11 in close proximity (5 min walk). If you wish to escape masses of people and fancy relaxing over party this is for you. The large beaches on the west coast are quite far (min. 45 min drive). From the moment of arrival at Amatara Wellness Resort Phuket, we were warmly welcomed by the lovely Jasper at reception. The check-in experience was elevated with a beautifully presented Thai tea—delightfully fragrant and energizing—which immediately set the tone for the stay. Jasper’s genuine warmth and wonderful personality made us feel truly cared for. The resort itself is a sanctuary of serenity: stunning sunsets, breathtaking infinity pools, peaceful nights, and magical moonlit skies. Every detail feels intentional and calming. Breakfast at Siri Restaurant was absolutely fabulous. The buffet offered incredibly fresh, beautifully prepared selections, including vibrant fresh fruit juices, Thai cuisine staples that were succulent and full of flavor, and made-to-order eggs cooked to perfection. The omelettes were flawless, and every dish felt thoughtfully crafted. A special mention goes to the gentleman preparing the eggs each morning—while I regret not asking his name, his hospitality deserves recognition. He greeted guests daily with a warm smile, happy to prepare your omelette, Guay Tiew (ก๋วยเตี๋ยว)Made-to-order Thai noodle soup or whatever you wished, always attentive and genuinely joyful. It’s a reminder that true customer hospitality is a names business, and his presence made each morning feel personal and welcoming. The entire team consistently delivers exceptional service, anticipating every need with grace. This has been an absolutely wonderful experience—a true slice of heaven on earth and a jewel of the Andaman Sea. Highly recommended.

Nice stay. The pools are great (and massive) and we had a pool by our room which was perfect. However, the beach is too rocky to swim nicely and more of a cove, so don’t count on having beach days here. If you only want the pool, no problem. Food was good but overpriced heavily. You can walk to the restaurants on the street which has good food options. They offer transport to the entrance of the resort. The location is secluded so just be sure that this is your vibe before booking.

This is our third time at Amatara, and so far, we haven't found anything comparable in Thailand! Thank you to all the staff who give their best day after day at this fantastic resort! Whether by the pool, on the beach, in the lobby, or in one of the restaurants, it's beautiful everywhere, and you simply feel at ease. THANK YOU!!! ONE COMPLAINT: The crows at the resort are becoming a problem. There are simply too many! They are noisy, and they seem to be getting closer every year. It's particularly bothersome at the main pool and during breakfast. Something needs to be done about the crows (relocating them).

Hands down one of the best properties in Phuket. The hotel seemed new and maintained, sufficient vegetarian options in the menu. The receptionist was very welcoming to all our queries and they provided us with a free upgrade as well. Special mention to "Jasper" who patiently addressed our questions and went out of her way to make our stay pleasant. Since we had an early morning flight, they kept a breakfast basket ready for us to take on the go, without us even asking or mentioning the same. The housekeeping was very thorough and clean rooms. Hotel itself was located at a beautiful cliff with an amazing view to enjoy at all times with their private beach. Truly a wonderful stay.
