It’s literally the best hotel in Cyprus! There is no other so fresh, clean and stylish hotels as Amara.
For now it’s our favorite hotel in Cyprus. unforgettable swimming pool area. Highly recommend for vacation
The one thing, in my opinion, restaurants for dinner are not so impressive and tasty but atmosphere is still gorgeous!

Amara hotel is a true example of high end hospitality. This is probably the best hotel on the island.
Everything was incredible from the balcony views to the hotel pool and staff. The attention to details was eminent in the interior design- every corner is pretty.
The breakfast was really great with huge variety. The hotel’s lobby has delicious pastries.
Guests with babies: a huge pro was the complimentary baby food and amazing kids club. They also have a great quality high chair and baby cot.

To celebrate my mother’s cancer free anniversary, I decided to take her to Cyprus. I wanted to take her to the best resort in Limassol, which is inarguably the Amara. As you arrive in the lobby, you’re greeted with ocean views and quiet luxury. Christos (sorry if spelling is off!) checked us in - he was incredibly kind and offered great suggestions for local activities. As he showed us the room, we were delightfully surprised to find that we had been upgraded with one of the hotel’s best views - the rooms ending in XX18 offer killer ocean views from the balcony. The hotel also surprised my mother with champagne, a gorgeous fruit plate, and local dried fruit.
One of the biggest standouts was how clean the property is, and that isn’t easy at a beach resort. The rooms are spotless; we even saw staff members power washing balconies.
There are multiple pools and ample lounge chairs, though the pool chairs get snapped up quicker than the lawn or beach chairs. I highly recommend checking out the spa. From the steam room to the sauna to the icy shower to the private outdoor infinity pool, you could easily spend a day out of the sun there - Sylvia is a terrific esthetician.
Compared to other five star properties we’ve stayed at around the world, the gym isn’t the largest—but there is ample equipment & even a Pilates room! I took a private class with Michaela, and she was terrific. We went to the gym around 10AM each day, and it wasn’t very busy. No complaints!
Our biggest “issue” was the lack of restaurant options. My mom is vegan and gluten free, and I follow a similar diet. We tried Locatelli, Matsuhisa, Nerea (we sat down, didn’t like the menu, and chose to leave), in-room dining, and the more casual restaurant on the beach, Plus Sea. Beef Bar looked like it had a great vibe, but there were not any options for us. Our first evening was spent at Locatelli. We felt like VIPs, and had one of the most delicious meals of our lives there. We thought every meal would be up to that standard. However, the remaining restaurants accommodated but with some difficulties / back-and-forth. It was a bit disappointing and frustrating. Perhaps I didn’t give enough advance notice, but a few servers were entirely confused with our diets. It was just hard to understand the stark difference between Locatelli and the others. The other restaurants need to be on the level that Locatelli is on. Nonetheless, all of the food was delicious, though sometimes it became quite stressful ordering. Not the most ideal restaurant experience on vacation.
I’ll end the note on a high - the service. We had the pleasure of meeting Artemis at the front desk, who allocated us the outstanding ocean view room. He accommodated with ease when we had a late flight upon our check-out. The valet was quick, kind, and thoughtful; they gave great restaurant recommendations too. Alexandrios (apologies if spelling is wrong) was one of our favorites at valet. Both of our experiences at the concierge were delightful and helpful. We went all around the island: east coast, west coast, mountains, and Limassol itself. Izabella, who replenishes the snack/drink/mini bar, had such a cheerful disposition.
All in all, we felt like very important guests, even though we were only there four days. The grounds are exceptional, the people are lovely, and you’ll be stepping into a luxury resort that wants to take care of you!

We were guests from Nicosia and went to the Spa for a 30-minute back massage. Excellent spa, very good location right at the entrance to the city, clean, cozy, especially pleasant aroma in the spa, good massage therapists were attentive and smiling. A very nice girl at the reception greeted us with a detox juice. I will recommend it to all my friends and will definitely come back.

I absolutely loved this hotel. It is so beautiful and rooms and facilities are really the height of luxury. The views, the bedding, the Le Labo toiletries... all the best. The only thing I would say is they do nothing to make you feel special, appreciated or seen really. The service is non existent from lobby and concierge. We arrived at midnight after a delayed flight and no help with luggage and we had 3 cases and hand luggage (they said it was too late but then called someone who spoke no English and escorted us to our room and watched us carry our luggage instead of taking any, then my husband made a second trip to the car :)) We were celebrating and the hotel knew this but the welcome card in room only addressed my husband and didn't mention our anniversary at all. No greetings when you come in every day, didn't ask if we enjoyed our stay, were really unhelpful about a late checkout (we only wanted another hour) and instead of saying no made us ask again day of departure when they then did say no. On day 3 the cleaners took my personal make-up flannel which was branded but just to be sure we had left a sign by it saying it was ours not the hotels and not to take it. My husband asked twice at reception if there was any way they could find and return. They said they would look into and no follow up in 3 days so we left without it. Wasn't even mentioned at checkout. So that lack of care was disappointing at such an expensive place. The service in the bars and restaurants was much better. Very good at the Italian and OK at the Japanese. This is such an amazing place, if they sorted out service it would be impossible to beat. Strange as we found service everywhere in Cyprus during our week there to be so excellent and friendly.
