A highly professional and respectful environment, paired with warm and friendly service, made our stay truly pleasant. The room was spotless with a stunning view, and both the buffet and the Italian restaurant offered excellent food and presentation. Highly recommended!! Definitely worth a visit!

A 5 star hotel with 3 star service. The hotel itself is visually stunning, great facilities and the location is great, however the service let it down immensely. The lifts are an issue, especially for guests above the first couple of floors. Stairs are an option but not for families with buggies or beach gear. There are only 3 lifts to the restaurant floor which causes quite a jam at peak times. I recall waiting 15 minutes in a queue to board the lift. 1 lift broke down halfway through our stay and was not repaired, a 2nd went out of service a day before our last day. 1 lift to serve hundreds of people is an issue. The waiting times. I’m happy to wait, however waiting times fell below reasonable limits at occasionally. Large queues for the main restaurant, long waits for coffee at the cafe and bars. They appear to be understaffed as there would be only 1 member of staff serving at times. Most staff were friendly and attentive, however some let the hotel down. Without going into too much detail, I had a bad experience with a lady at the waterpark bar on two occasions. She was very patronising and rude - not something you expect from a 5 star hotel. Overall, the hotel was stunning and the food was high quality. Very close to the beach too but I would expect more from a 5 star hotel.

*Family trip (2 adults, 1 child, 2 grandparents) - 7 nights* Overall Experience Our week-long stay at Amada Colossos Resort was satisfactory overall, though with some notable inconsistencies that affected our experience as a multi-generational family group. The Good The resort's beach area turned out to be the highlight of our stay - genuinely the most calm and quiet place to relax on the property. The food quality was consistently good throughout our visit, and the majority of staff members were very friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with questions or concerns. Areas for Improvement Service Inconsistency: While most staff were excellent, we encountered notable issues with some restaurant staff who seemed disinterested after seating us - avoiding eye contact and failing to bring ordered drinks. During our week-long stay, we unfortunately learned to recognize which staff members we shouldn't expect service from. Smoking Policy: For a hotel marketed as "family-friendly," the smoking situation was disappointing. We encountered tobacco smell in hallways on the way to breakfast, drifting from the pool area during outdoor dining, and even from guests smoking directly next to families with small children in the sunbed area. This was particularly concerning traveling with a 5-year-old. Dining Experience: The "smart casual" dress code for dinner doesn't seem to be enforced - guests wore everything from beachwear to formal attire. The outdoor dining area lacks proper rain coverage, so when weather turns, all outdoor diners are moved inside simultaneously, creating chaos and excessive noise. The indoor restaurant becomes very loud during peak hours, especially problematic during these weather-related relocations. Pool Area: Music plays fairly loudly from speakers around the pool, which may not suit all preferences for relaxation. Other things - Despite official prohibition, sunbed reservation in the morning isn't actively enforced by staff - I would request a road-side room if you prefer earlier bedtimes, as beach-side rooms may be noisier - The resort is located in a strip of beachfront hotels with limited surrounding amenities - Hotel room is a faraday cage, so the public Wifi didn't work at all, but each room has their own access point via TV, so use that Bottom Line Amada Colossos Resort delivers a decent family vacation experience with good food and a lovely beach area, but inconsistent service and enforcement of policies - particularly around smoking - detract from what could be a more polished experience for families.

Overall a lovely hotel and clean, and the staff are friendly, however the service is shocking. They clearly are understaffed. There is only one main restaurant and it’s ridiculously busy. They struggle to sit the whole hotel in the restaurant, and the queue backs right out of the restaurant. When you are seated, you’ll be lucky to get a drink or any form of service. You’ll be lucky to get a sun-bed. If you aren’t outside at 7am claiming your bed, you won’t get one.

We recently stayed here, and while there were some great aspects to our stay, there were also several disappointments that need to be addressed. One of the biggest issues was the kids' playground, which is located inside the hotel’s water park. Since the water park only opens late (around 11 AM) and closes early (around 4–5 PM), the playground becomes completely inaccessible outside these hours. This was frustrating, as young children often want to play early in the morning or in the evening when the sun is not as intense. When I raised this concern with the guest relations manager, I was met with avoidance and a lack of professionalism. It took repeated efforts to get a conversation with her, and when I finally did, she simply stated that it was the owner's decision and could not be changed. This kind of dismissive attitude was disappointing and not what one expects from a guest-oriented service. Another issue was the lack of proper management regarding sunbeds at the pool. Many guests reserve them early in the morning, and since there’s no visible enforcement against this, it becomes almost impossible to find a free spot unless you wake up at dawn to claim one. Additionally, the hotel does not provide drying racks or hangers on the balconies for wet towels and swimwear. As a result, guests are left hanging their items over the railings, which gives the hotel an untidy and unappealing appearance, more like a workers’ lodge than a holiday resort. However, I must highlight the restaurant experience, which was the standout aspect of our stay. The food was absolutely delicious, with a wide variety of options catering to different tastes. The waitstaff were incredibly professional, attentive, and truly made us feel welcome. Their excellent service was the one redeeming factor that made our stay more enjoyable. Overall, while the dining experience was exceptional, the shortcomings in management, guest service, and facilities make it difficult to fully recommend this hotel. With better organization and attention to guest concerns, it has the potential to offer a much better experience.
