Just got back, we had a fantastic few days here. Staff all friendly. Rooms were very spacious and clean. The gardens were immaculate. Pools all tidy. only one warm pool though, rest absolutely freezing. Food was good, lots of choice. Entertainment was brilliant, the singers were all great, but our most fun night was the karaoke night, the guy hosting it was hillarious. We will definitely be returning.

I was looking forward to some winter sun, blue skies and time to relax and refresh to start the new year. Upon arrival at Alua Suites the staff member who checked us in proudly told us that the hotel was full to capacity due to the lead up to New Year. We booked the My Favourite Club (MFC) adults only part of the hotel and were expecting a luxury all inclusive experience. This wasn't to be. The room was clean but basic and in need of an upgrade re décor etc. The pool area was relaxing and quiet which was welcome. The food at the restaurants were basic; we had two good dinners onsite at the a la carte restaurant. Thankfully the other nights we went into town where we had a choice of good cuisines. There was no iron/ironing board in the bedroom; the most annoying part was being told by Reception they didn't know when we would be able to get an iron as they came from an external company. That we would need to collect it ourselves and take it back ourselves..... It arrived 2 days after we requested it; Lavisha at Reception was helpful but her hands were tied in these circumstances. To conclude, this hotel falls short of what I expect of the Hyatt Brand. The customer services around the hotel is poor, old plastering falling off the front of some buildings. I've also never stayed somewhere where the food was so bad it was the small talk topic amongst all guests. This is not a place I'd recommend, we won't be returning either.

Great experience at Alua Suites. Everyone working at the hotel was very friendly especially the activities team. Jana, Achim, Alicia and Gui were around the main pool all day and made the effort to be friendly and interact with everyone. They even managed to get us involved in the aqua fit and the walk to the dunes. The rooms were spacious there was a good food selection in the main restaurant and plenty of bars throughout the complex. The hotel was a short walk to the beach, the main shops, bars and restaurants. We're already planning to come back next year

I love the place. Booked for 10 days from the 9th January for 3 adults in 2 suites. My room was immaculate, our hosekeeper Loli was the best. Everything works, every light bulb in the building works, great water pressure in the room, super comfy bed. The food menu was brilliant and varied, if you can't get something to eat you're being over picky. The A la Carte restaurant was lovely. Definitely 1 of the best hotels we've done in the Canaries and we've been coming every January for the last 6-7 years. Definitely coming back next year, same resort, same hotel. Corralejo is a very vibrant busy town, even in January

Stayed at alua suites 29the Nov to 6th Dec. Had a lovely suite no 3146. Very clean and large. Only l problem with air conditioning which wouldn't switch off. The staff in the terra restaurant so helpful as I had a disability problem. The drinks were good. Entertainment was good. The grounds were immaculate. One of the ladies on reception called Fedarika(sorry if misspelt)was so nice and helpful with any questions I had. Overall a brilliant holiday.
