Really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is lovely and the staff in all area are friendly and helpful. We had a Junior Suite which was very clean, comfortable and spacious. Food was good, plenty of choice in all the restaurants. My Favourite Club was well worth the extra money - appreciated the extra little touches and the peace and quiet away from the general hubub made for a really relaxing holiday. Would definitely revisit.

I booked the Alua Suites to celebrate my 80th birthday with my two daughters their husbands. Our family always celebrate special birthdays with a nice holiday, and although having been recently widowed decided to go ahead. We opted for the My Favourite Club and requested rooms close together, which was arranged by the hotel. Every member of staff we met, from Reception, Restaurant, Bar and Cleaning were absolutely lovely. The My Favourite Club area was amazing with its own pools, bar and restaurant for Breakfast and Lunch. We also tried their Evening Restaurant and the Main Resort Restaurant. The variety and quality of food on offer was exceptional. My daughters arranged, with the help of the staff, to provide me with a lovely birthday cake. It came presented by the chef and other staff members who serenaded me with “Happy birthday”. It really made my day. I can’t speak too highly of Alua Suites, we all said it was the best holiday we have had and will be returning as soon as we can.

Good food selection and good bar staff too.
Pools were great and not too far from main shopping area and beach.
We are a couple of fifty somethings.
Also there's the Sunset Lounge across the road for live music and a change of scenery.
Suites were great and all staff very helpful.

Excellent accommodation. Excellent choice of pools from one at only 30cm for toddlers, up to an adults only area. Food superb for all ages and diets. Drinks available all over the complex at many bars. Entertainment provided. Complex thank fully, strict on moving towels off unoccupied pool beds, after a period of time to allow fairness to all. Gym facilities discreet and well used. Easy to get a taxis to and from the local Rui beach.

Overall the room which was a one bed room apartment was roomy and the main bed room had a very large bed which was super comfy.
The sofa bed in the lounge was equally as comfy.
The bathroom was of a good size and modern with a good hair dryer supplied.
The walk in wardrobe area was a good feature too.
I scored a 4 in total due to the lack of English spoken TV channels which made the TV useless during our stay, only BBC world News and DMAX, paramount was removed during our stay. I appreciate site that holidays are not all about TV, but it is sometimes nice to retreat to your room and watch TV.
