I had a very good time at Aloft, i’m honestly surprised to see how many bad reviews there are. My friend and I, both 20 yrs old, were traveling alone. For two young ladies in a foreign country we felt very safe with aloft and were met with friendly greetings by staff. While yes, it’s not the most upscale and modern hotel, you have to consider that you’re getting what you paid for! Our room was only $630, which included the open bar and free breakfast! AND it was so close to everything, we saved a lot of money on taxis/uber because we could just walk instead. I’ve definitely stayed in nicer places, the decor was a little tacky and the elevators were down one night, but again, considering the price, It was expected. Nonetheless, we had no problems with cleanliness, the bed was comfortable, shower worked well, no problems with bugs. If you’re looking for a budget friendly place I would highly recommend here!!

This hotel is trash. The pictures are nothing like the property. Everything about this property is a bait and switch. We had four rooms in the hotel during our stay and one person had bed bugs in their room. There is a guy selling tourists drugs just past the property. This hotel does not feel safe or sanitary and under no circumstances would I ever stay here again.

Location was convenient to downtown hotel zone. Walking distance to all the nightlife attractions and Chedraui Supermarket. Lots of restaurants nearby! Only had 1 working elevator, extremely inconvenient, especially with my anxiety. The hallways had a weird smell damp and mildew like. "Continental breakfast" was convenient but lacked appeal. We were there for 8 days, paid for breakfast 6 days! 12-hour free happy hour, but I usually paid to drink my preference. Friendly staff! Luiz was the best!

Overall, good experience in the hotel. Sandy has covered every aspect during our induction for which I am most grateful. Location and accommodation, granted. It cannot be better connected to all local attractions, supermarkets, among other areas. My suggestion will be moving the bar from the reception to the pool area, the rooftop is misused, and the guests have to travel down the lift, soaking wet the entire hotel to gather a drink from the bar, which puts at risk of slip and falling, due to the excess of water in the lift and other areas of the hotel. I observed how drinks, ice and pool water is dropped at all times. Also, it is impossible using the rooftop installation due to the lack of gazebos and other methods of sun covering.

Location fantastic, rooms were okay but given how much it costs, it was really good. The reason for my review today was the staff, particularly Alexander who looked after my partner and I while staying here. He was incredible, so well mannered, friendly, and really informative when telling us about the area. Everytime we came through the lobby we would look for him to say hi. Make sure to keep him at the hotel. A true asset
