Honest review here, been a long time marriott user. Almare fell short of expectations with the price point its at. Pros: the staff are super super welcoming and nice, one on one service where they take u to the room which no other hotel we visited in cancun did. the lobby is luxurious and the sea is absolutely stunning. We visited two all inclusive resort and this one has the most items in the mini fridge and snacks in the drawer. now comes the bad/area of improvements: there aren't a lot of eating options, most of the time only 1 restaurant opens for service so ur stuck with wtv is open, the whole resort has only 3 restaurants and in my opinion room service taste and portion wise is better than the 3. Beach area there isnt any staff so u have to find ur own towel and walk to the bar for drinks. Rooms are pretty small and the bath area even smaller. there is not a whole lot of fun activities to do on the resort as well. i think its better suited for those who seeks deep relaxation and peacefulness.

Stayed four nights at Almare and we loved it! Right from the start we were looked after very well. Hotel transfer was smooth and organized. Our room was crisp and clean, beautiful, very comfy beds with top-notch linens and towels and accessories- we had a deck with pool and ocean view, comfy sitting - great 24HR room service. The resort was lovely - The whole place has a very laid back and chill vibe to it - even the local dogs stop in once in a while for a visit - so sweet, especially when you miss your own fur-babies - we got in the habit of ordering extra bacon - just in case we saw them. Almare is not busy and there's plenty of space for quiet moments. Definitely a place to relax. Sophisticated, healthy food and delicious top-shelf drinks - not your average all-inclusive. THE STAFF ARE AMAZING - THE BEST PART! Eli (he's our favorite Margarita/Martini maker - if you ask real nice he just might show you a picture of his new niño) Josef and Laura were all fantastic and friendly bartenders/barristers - Edy , Danny-boy and Karen at the beach - Pedro, Andrea (with her beautiful smile), Edgar and Osmar for their great and friendly food service. ALL the staff were lovely! Definitely hope to return someday soon!

My husband Will and I just got back from Almare Resort in Isla Mujeres, and it was exactly the kind of trip we needed. From the start, everything was incredibly smooth—Almare coordinated our travel from the Cancun airport, and Lestor and his teammate even met us at the ferry to make sure we knew where to go. The resort itself is quiet, peaceful, and adults-only, which we really appreciated. No loud crowds or chaos—just calm vibes, crystal-clear water, and palm trees everywhere. The whole place is surrounded by greenery, and it honestly feels like you’ve found a hidden, private spot in paradise. Our room was stunning, and the rooftop pool and bar were a highlight—beautiful views. The food and drinks were way better than we expected for an all-inclusive—really fresh, great variety, and definitely felt higher-end. There were plenty of events/excursions- our favorites were snorkeling, boating, mezcal tasting, and a ceviche cooking class! But what really made the stay amazing was the service. The staff was genuinely kind, thoughtful, and always one step ahead. Special thanks to Hector, Victor, Lestor, Eli, Edi, Manuel, Laura, Karen, Alejandro, Amaury, Jasson, and Lizbeth—you all made us feel so welcomed and cared for! If you’re looking for a relaxing, beautiful escape with great service and no stress, this place is it. We’re already talking about when we can come back!

Almare was GREAT! Do yourself a favor and book this resort! Let's start with the boat transfer to the island... PERFECT. Really nice, comfortable boat. The two guys running the transfer were very knowledgeable and friendly. The property is relatively small, but perfect for what I was looking for. Staff did a great job of keeping it clean. Staff were very attentive, always asking if I needed something or if they could assist in anyway. Room was top notch. I loved how they clean the rooms twice per day, ensuring that beds are always refreshed and towels & snacks replaced daily. Beach area was nice and comfortable. No problem finding a beachside cabana or lounging chairs. The resort felt spacious, as there weren't many people staying there (which was a plus). The food was good, but dinner could use some upgrades. Breakfast and lunch were great, and room service menu was the best. The resort offers premium alcohol, which I've never seen at an all inclusive!! Really good coffee shop with high quality coffee and pastries. Even though the dinner did not excite me, I still give this place an easy 5 stars. I'll be back for sure.

This hotel completely missed the mark and is nowhere close to a 5-star hotel. We went ignored for hours on end for food and drink service on the beach. We were told they were at 60% capacity but they ran out of towels daily. The car service they recommended was $400 for two 25-minute transfers. The pool had people dancing provocatively and passed out similar to a Cancún party vibe, not a 5-star hotel. They set up speakers with cheesy games that could be heard across the property for the duration of the afternoon. No ATM on property or cash exchange.- we were told it was a 15 minute drive into town. One small positive was the breakfast and lunch options were decent but the dinners where they attempted more complex dishes were really poorly done. And there was only one restaurant dinner option nightly which might explain a backed up kitchen and long waits in-between courses. The biggest positives were the private boat service (very nice touch and the two captains were extremely professional and accommodating) and comfort of the rooms.
