We stayed at Almare in early February 2026 as part of a large group that rented out the entire resort, and overall we had a really memorable stay. What stood out most was the personalized service at the beach cabanas. My wife and I were taken care of by Alejandro, Edgar, Claudia, and Karen, and they were truly exceptional. They were attentive, kind, and genuinely engaging. The beach team consistently went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable, and we found ourselves spending a lot of time there because the service was just that good. They really made the beach experience special for us. The food felt unique and culturally grounded—from the presentation to the flavor and freshness. Because this was a full resort buyout, the menu changed nightly, which we loved. That may not be the case during a typical stay, but even the buffet offerings rotated nicely and were consistently enjoyable. Our room was clean and thoughtfully designed, with great ambient lighting and a lot of nice touches throughout. We especially liked that the room key was a comfortable bracelet—simple, convenient, and easy to wear all day. Just dont over tighten it! :) A few areas could use improvement. Service varied in different parts of the resort. Outside of the beach area, not all servers seemed fully confident about what was available on the menu, including at the rooftop bar, which felt a little surprising. At Seasalt, our server didn’t mention a specialty menu that we later saw presented to other tables. We had already ordered by then, but it would have been nice to know. There were also a couple minor room issues—the toilet chain came loose and had to be reattached, and the shower handle for adjusting water temperature felt a bit worn and loose. The surrounding area does have nearby day clubs, so depending on your room location, noise could vary. Ours faced the pool with a partial ocean view, which we enjoyed. We rented a golf cart to explore town, but honestly, we found ourselves wanting to head back to the resort—it really had everything we needed. They played great music throughout the day, and overall the staff had wonderful personalities. All in all, it’s a beautiful resort with plenty of food and drink options. And a final thank you again to the beach team—they truly made our trip special.

Our stay at this all-inclusive resort on Isla Mujeres was nothing short of exceptional, and the staff are the true reason this place deserves five stars. From the moment we arrived, every single person we encountered was genuinely warm, attentive, and eager to make our stay unforgettable. The service never felt forced or scripted—just kind, thoughtful, and personal. Whether it was at the restaurants, the bars, the pool, or housekeeping, the staff consistently went above and beyond, remembering preferences, checking in without being intrusive, and making us feel truly cared for. Their positive energy and pride in what they do completely elevated the experience. The resort itself is beautiful, relaxing, and exactly what you want from an Isla Mujeres escape—but it’s the people who make it special. We left feeling refreshed, grateful, and already planning our return. If you’re considering staying here, do it—you’ll be treated like family from start to finish.

Our stay at Almare Luxury Resort was absolutely wonderful. From the moment we arrived, the service was splendid, with staff going above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable throughout our stay. The 24-hour room service was especially impressive and incredibly convenient, and the food truck on site was a fun and tasty option that we ended up enjoying more than once. The servers and bartenders deserve a special mention as they were always very kind, attentive, and genuinely helpful, which made the experience feel warm and personal rather than overly formal. The atmosphere of the resort is calm and refined, perfect for unwinding. The view is absolutely stunning, with breathtaking sights of the ocean and crystal-clear water right at the beach. Spending time by the water felt peaceful and refreshing, and it was easy to disconnect and fully relax. This resort is definitely ideal for people looking for rest and relaxation, not for those seeking a party scene. We also enjoyed some memorable activities during our stay, including scuba diving, which allowed us to explore the beautiful marine life, and driving around town in a golf cart, a fun and easy way to discover Isla Mujeres at our own pace. The only downside of our experience was the limited selection on the restaurant’s menu. While the food wasn't bad, we hugely preferred the food truck options, and overall having more variety would have made dining on-site better.

Almare is the definition of luxury!!! This was one of the best experiences we've ever had at an all inclusive resort. First, we need to acknowledge how amazing the staff was. The service was incredible throughout our entire stay and they were so attentive. Every single day we looked forward to seeing Karen, Alejandro, Claudia and Edgar at the beach beds/beach bar. They were ABSOLUTELY AMAZING, so attentive, we never had an empty drink (lol!) and we can't wait to go back and see them. Noe and Emiliano at the front desk /concierge were also so helpful with every question we had and always did their best to find solutions quickly. Eddy, Laura, and Alan were also THE BEST!!! The amenities are top tier, loved the spa treatment, even though it was pricey it was worth every single dollar, especially being able to use the hydrotherapy services after. We also loved the food offerings, especially at the rooftop restaurant Seasalt. Definitely looking forward to our return as this ticked all of our boxes. Our only call-outs would be the music... would love to have more a vibe going on throughout. The music from the neighbouring resorts/beach clubs helped during the day but at night, would love to have something more upbeat, especially at the Lobby Bar!! Otherwise, 10/10... can't wait to go back.

If you’ve already booked, don’t despair — it’s by no means awful. However, for a Luxury Collection resort at this price point, it falls well below expectations. I was genuinely surprised by how inconsistent the service was, and in several areas they simply haven’t got the basics right. Ultimately, it feels more like a nice four-star stay rather than the five-star luxury experience being marketed. There are definitely positives. The communal areas are clean, beautifully decorated, and have a calm, peaceful atmosphere. Breakfast was consistently the best meal of the day with good quality options, and the beachside lunch truck is a lovely touch. The Byredo products in the room feel premium, the on-site coffee shop is a nice addition, and the private vessel transfer is excellent and sets a great first impression. Unfortunately, the service lets the property down. Some staff were surprisingly rude, and waits of 10 minutes or more for even basic requests were common. Service often felt dependent on tipping, and even then it was hit-and-miss. The lobby bar doesn’t have a menu, so ordering becomes guesswork — and several times we were told drinks simply “weren’t available.” A clear menu would solve this easily. Room maintenance and housekeeping were disappointing. The shower needed a proper clean, with visible mould, dirty windows, poor water pressure, and marks left behind from previous guests. The jacuzzi plug didn’t work. The minibar wasn’t restocked, and a single bag of Skittles hardly counts as the “snacks” advertised. We even had to call to have the room cleaned and request bottled water, which never arrived. Simple additions like water refill stations around the resort would make a big difference. There were also organisational issues. Pools were closed with no signage or notice — the app said they were open, and the only indication they weren’t was plants placed across the entrance. We booked a golf buggy tour that never showed up (thankfully we hadn’t paid the $180 fee). Despite the hotel being very quiet, only a one-hour late checkout was offered, which felt unnecessarily inflexible. Food quality was inconsistent too — some dishes were good, but others leaned towards tiny, style-over-substance portions, and asking for more felt awkward rather than welcomed. Overall, I’d rate it a solid 4 stars, but it simply doesn’t meet the standards or service level expected of a 5-star luxury resort. With better attention to detail and more consistent hospitality, it could be excellent — but right now, it’s more disappointing than indulgent.
