Stayed four nights at Almare and we loved it! Right from the start we were looked after very well. Hotel transfer was smooth and organized. Our room was crisp and clean, beautiful, very comfy beds with top-notch linens and towels and accessories- we had a deck with pool and ocean view, comfy sitting - great 24HR room service. The resort was lovely - The whole place has a very laid back and chill vibe to it - even the local dogs stop in once in a while for a visit - so sweet, especially when you miss your own fur-babies - we got in the habit of ordering extra bacon - just in case we saw them. Almare is not busy and there's plenty of space for quiet moments. Definitely a place to relax. Sophisticated, healthy food and delicious top-shelf drinks - not your average all-inclusive. THE STAFF ARE AMAZING - THE BEST PART! Eli (he's our favorite Margarita/Martini maker - if you ask real nice he just might show you a picture of his new niño) Josef and Laura were all fantastic and friendly bartenders/barristers - Edy , Danny-boy and Karen at the beach - Pedro, Andrea (with her beautiful smile), Edgar and Osmar for their great and friendly food service. ALL the staff were lovely! Definitely hope to return someday soon!

My husband Will and I just got back from Almare Resort in Isla Mujeres, and it was exactly the kind of trip we needed. From the start, everything was incredibly smooth—Almare coordinated our travel from the Cancun airport, and Lestor and his teammate even met us at the ferry to make sure we knew where to go. The resort itself is quiet, peaceful, and adults-only, which we really appreciated. No loud crowds or chaos—just calm vibes, crystal-clear water, and palm trees everywhere. The whole place is surrounded by greenery, and it honestly feels like you’ve found a hidden, private spot in paradise. Our room was stunning, and the rooftop pool and bar were a highlight—beautiful views. The food and drinks were way better than we expected for an all-inclusive—really fresh, great variety, and definitely felt higher-end. There were plenty of events/excursions- our favorites were snorkeling, boating, mezcal tasting, and a ceviche cooking class! But what really made the stay amazing was the service. The staff was genuinely kind, thoughtful, and always one step ahead. Special thanks to Hector, Victor, Lestor, Eli, Edi, Manuel, Laura, Karen, Alejandro, Amaury, Jasson, and Lizbeth—you all made us feel so welcomed and cared for! If you’re looking for a relaxing, beautiful escape with great service and no stress, this place is it. We’re already talking about when we can come back!

Our stay at Almare was one of the best travel experiences we’ve ever had. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that this resort is all about thoughtful, intentional luxury—and every detail exceeded our expectations. On our first day, the sea was too rough for the private boat transfer from Cancun, but Almare didn’t miss a beat. They arranged for a concierge to meet us at the public ferry, help with our luggage, and personally escort us to the resort. That kind of care and service set the tone for the entire trip. The lobby was breathtaking—modern yet warm, with natural finishes, calming tones, and beautiful artistic touches. It opened up to the beachfront, surrounded by palm trees and tropical plants, letting in the breeze off the ocean. The atmosphere was peaceful and instantly grounding. In fact, everywhere we went throughout the resort felt like stepping into a luxury spa—calm, clean, and serene. Our room was sleek and stylish, with a spacious balcony overlooking the pool and ocean. Every detail—from the design to the lighting—was carefully curated to encourage relaxation. The oversized in-room jacuzzi came prepped with green bath salts, another thoughtful touch that added to the spa-like ambiance. (Whoever did the interior design absolutely nailed it.) The main pool on the ground level quickly became one of our favorite places to unwind. It had a swim-up bar, gentle music, and plenty of shaded lounge chairs, all nestled among lush greenery. It was calm, never crowded, and designed to feel like a private oasis. The landscaping across the entire property was stunning—swaying palms, vibrant tropical plants, and quiet garden paths that made the whole resort feel secluded and deeply relaxing. The rooftop was another standout. The infinity pool offered sweeping panoramic views, and the vibe was sleek and sophisticated but still chill. Between the rooftop restaurant, bar, and the sunset views, it was the perfect way to end each day in pure luxury. The food was a highlight—every meal had a wide range of options, from well-loved Mexican classics like tacos to more creative dishes with bold, unique ingredients. Everything was flavorful, beautifully plated, and made with care. The cocktails were made with top-shelf liquor and fresh ingredients, and the coffee was genuinely excellent. I particularly loved Almare’s welcome drink with is topped with coconut foam (heavenly). The real standout, though, was the staff. We had the pleasure of interacting with so many team members, and every single one of them made us feel welcome, cared for, and valued. They anticipated needs before we even voiced them, and their warmth and professionalism made every moment feel special. There was even an Activities Coordinator who led things like aqua-fitness, a coffee tasting, ceviche-making, and a fun game of Mexican Lottery. Their energy and attention to detail truly elevated the entire experience. I can’t overstate how kind and exceptional every staff person we met was. They were true professionals. We also loved the nightly live music—mariachi one night, flute another, followed by talented singers, guitarists, and a smooth saxophonist. It added a perfect touch of ambiance to each evening. Almare’s beautiful design, incredible views, delicious food, and above all, the spa-like tranquility made this feel like a true escape. We left feeling rested, refreshed, and already dreaming of coming back. I’m truly grateful to have experienced such a beautiful, luxurious place. Note that I had read some reviews and was skeptical/concerned but I am SO happy I trusted my gut and came here despite that concern. I am not saying the resort is perfect because no resort is, but it came pretty close to it for me.

The staff are wonderful, the food was delicious, the room was comfortable and everywhere was super clean. We enjoyed the beach as well as the pool but the highlight was the spa. My wife had an excellent 60 min massage while I did the thermal experience. I enjoyed the gym which had everything I needed. As we left this lovely all-inclusive, we were already planning our return!

Dear Hotel Management & Future Guests, I am writing to express my disappointment with my recent stay at Almare on Isla Mujeres, specifically regarding my reservation on May 15th, 2025. I regret that I cannot recommend your resort based on my experience. During our stay, we ordered an early dinner through room service and subsequently suffered from food poisoning. This unfortunate incident prevented us from enjoying any of the resort's amenities, as we were confined to our room for the duration of our visit. Upon informing the manager, Marco, of our situation the following morning, he offered to compensate us with an additional day at the resort to allow for rest before our departure back to the United States. In good faith, we accepted this offer and proceeded to make the necessary arrangements, including changing our flights and reorganizing boarding for our dog. However, at 7 p.m. that evening, we were contacted by the front desk requesting payment, stating that there was no record of a complimentary room. While I had high expectations for this establishment, I must state that, in my opinion, the resort did not meet the standards expected of a property charging $1000 per night. Yes, the view is pleasing, but the food, service, smell, and rooms are not acceptable. Based on my experience, I would advise potential guests to carefully consider alternative accommodations.
