If you are planning to visit this resort, read my entire review before you go and regret it. I write about both the good and bad sides of the resort.
My Review of Alan Xafira Deluxe Resort
My wife, our two children, and I spent 10 days at Alan Xafira Deluxe Resort. Here is my honest review:
**Pros:**
- **Air Conditioning**: Excellent air conditioning that can keep the room cool even when it’s extremely hot outside. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
- **Pool**: Very large pool with plenty of space for both swimming and sunbathing. ⭐️⭐️⭐️
- **Rooms**: Large rooms with spacious beds.
- **Facilities**: A few shops within the resort area.
- **Animation Team**: Very skilled and engaging. They organize various activities and shows every day for both children and adults. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
- **Reception**: Very friendly and helpful staff. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
- **Transport to the Beach**: The resort offers transportation to the beach every 10 minutes, which takes about 4 minutes. Walking takes about 10 minutes, but it's recommended to take the transport due to the strong sun.
**Cons:**
- **Noise**: Noise always enters the room. You can hear your neighbors talking. Activities continue until midnight, and all the party noise comes into the room as if you have the window open.
- **Cleaning**: The rooms are not cleaned properly. Only the beds are made and the floor is mopped. At one point, the entire room smelled of vomit when we returned. It seemed like the cleaning staff used the same mop from another room where someone had vomited. ⭐️⭐️
- **Toilet**: The toilet in our room was broken and uncomfortable to use.
- **Restaurant**:
- **Cleanliness**: The plates were dirty and not properly washed. Food residues were left on most of the plates.
- **Food Quality**: The same food was served all the time with few options to choose from. The same dishes were placed in multiple spots to give the impression of variety. The food was often reused, for example, fish served hot as a main course one day could be served cold as an appetizer another time.
- **Service**: The service in the restaurant was nonexistent. If you arrived 10 minutes after the restaurant opened, it was difficult to find a seat. You could wait up to 20 minutes for a place, and when you finally found one, you had to clean the table and look for cutlery yourself. There were plenty of knives, but you often had to wait for forks to be washed.
- **Drinks**: Beer and wine ran out an hour before the meal ended, so you often had to settle for soft drinks. Fresh food was rare, and it was obvious that the same food was served over and over again. The only things always available were rice and watermelon.
- **Children's Food**: The only options for children were rice with tomato sauce or pasta with tomato sauce. My children ate the same food for 10 days and got tired of it.
The staff in the restaurant seemed not to care about the guests and treated us as if we were there for free. Below are some pictures I took in the restaurant. I wouldn't even dare to give the restaurant a single star.
Imagine being at a five-star hotel where you have to clear away someone else's dishes, clean the table yourself, and set the table yourself. While doing this, the service staff stand around pretending to be busy. A five-star hotel where drinks run out, and dirty plates are served.
**Summary:**
- Air Conditioning: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
- Reception: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
- Animation Team: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
- Pool: ⭐️⭐️⭐️
- Room Cleaning: ⭐️⭐️
- Restaurant: Not even one star
Overall, What I wrote above is not just based on my own experience. I discussed it with various guests I met at the resort. Since food is the most important part of a vacation, I will give the entire resort one star because the restaurant was unprofessional and dirty, and the staff did not care about the guests.

The rooms were clean and the pool was large. We were pleased with the open buffet and the variety of food was wide. There was an animation team in the hotel and they were entertaining people at night, they were great.
There were light plays etc. at night.

The hotel is really big and has lots of offer, from the beautiful pools to the entertainment group providing lots of gym classes, games and evening performances. The food was good and the rooms were very clean. I had no issues or problems with this hotel, all the staff are very friendly and helpful

Literally the worst and dirtiest hotel.
My room was full of bugs & that caused my baby to have bad skin. The food was so bad I had to spend money on food else where, when I bought this back to my hotel it was full of bugs after a hour ! The toilet was disgusting! The staff don’t care and don’t do anything.
The ‘holiday rep’ refused to help me because I didn’t attend my morning meeting as I arrived at 5am! He kept calling the phone in the room at 7am. He was extremely rude.
The reception staff also didn’t care or help.
Multiple of British people were complaining about the same things. Save your money or spend more for a better service else where! Absolute Waste of money

I would not call a 5-star hotel because it is not 5 star standards. Albert, on the reception and Damla in the tea house, are great staff and very helpful. Rooms are decent size but missing accessories in the room. We had an all-inclusive package, but the drinks are way too diluted. Staff at all the bars are superb and very helpful and friendly. Overall, it was a pleasant stay.
