As a returning customer after 12 years I was pleasantly surprised. The hotel is well maintained, spacious and great for a holiday with kids. It’s a place for a quiet and serene time, orderly and pleasant. The room was spacious and always clean. Plenty of pool space but warm water at the kids’ slide area would be marvellous. Food overall was excellent and diverse, especially dinners. Staff is plentiful and helpful and all request were serviced quickly. Some minor issues here and there but nothing that affected overall enjoyment of the stay. 30 minutes from the South airport and easy logistics. Always recommend renting a car for some extra sightseeing on the island.

Super hotel with all the facilities you would expect for 5*. Lived up to our expectations for most part as a couple. Entertainment was professional & easy listening so good to relax. You won't party the night away though! As parents ourselves, the occasional sound of kids at hotel didn't bother us. Excellent rooms, friendly & accommodating staff, great choice for breakfast (even porridge!). Inside & outside terraced seating areas with sea view. Can be busy at peak times so you may not get seat of choice. Be patient & one usually comes free.

We didn't like that they don't give toiletries "to save on plastic", we had to ask reception but they sent us the wrong things.
The food is not bad, but not luxurious. There is good variety, it's very nicely decorated and on the eye it looks great, but the quality of the ingredients is average and not of a luxurious hotel.
Not sure why the water on the non-salted pool was so cold, it felt like the water was cooled (it was colder than air temperature). Strange, and sad, almost nobody could use it because the water was unbearably cold (it was Dec).
In terms of luxury it's not a top luxury hotel like some others in the area, but it's better than a 4 start hotels.

I stayed here with my girlfriend for her 21st birthday, from start to finish the staff were amazing with the main buffet having a delicious selection. And the kitchen staff were very friendly! For my ladies birthday dinner we choose the Verona a la Carte restaurant, and it did not disappoint… they made it a night to remember and brought out a brilliant Victoria sponge cake (organised by Ruyman Donis from front desk who was always in contact trying to help). I also want to mention the bar tender by the lower pool, always very chatty and made me and my girlfriend feel at home for the whole experience, sadly though I can’t remember his name but he was a great credit to the hotel. Will be returning in the near future… thank you Gran Roca Nivaria team, u made my girlfriend’s 21st one she will never forget.

This is a wonderful hotel, an oasis of tranquility along this area of coast. We found the facilities beautifully clean and spacious. The buffet meals and kids activities were enjoyed by all and the staff who organised the kids activities were so lovely.
The following section is regarding their allergy policy, which is lacking and reflects the missing star in the overall rating: We felt let down by the experience in the Italian restaurant which we booked instead of the buffet one night (as we had this option as part of our half board package) - where we were invited to specify any allergens in advance. One of our children has food allergies and this information was clearly not noticed as they presented her with food we hadn't asked for (bread roll and amuse bouche) both of which contained sesame, which we had told them she is allergic to. This was very disappointing. There were also issues with missing labels for food in the buffet. We will be contacting the hotel directly about this as it should be improved.
