We've had a fantastic stay here at Abora Buenaventura. Our room has been cleaned daily to a high standard, with the housekeeping staff being incredibly respectful and helpful. Every staff member we have come across has been polite, welcoming and friendly and always respectful, my children have absolutely adored interacting with everyone - especially the wonderful hospitality team in the restaurant! The food in offer has been delicious and a good range for all inclusive, as well as the options in the snack bar! We've ventured out of the hotel a few times using both the excellent free bus to the beach and public transport- both easily accessible and running regularly. We would definitely recommend this hotel to our friends and family due to it's high standards, location and the wonderful Abora Buenaventura team! Thank you for an excellent stay ✨ Matilda Harrison

We have really enjoyed our stay at Abora Buenaventura (Lopesan). We are a young couple with an 11 month old baby and found the facilities to be almost perfect for her. The service was incredible and attentive - no task was too much, from finding us a high chair during peak meal times to fresh clean bedding if she’d had an accident in her cot. The food was lovely and had a wide range. In terms of a recommendation for the future (if any!) is that an indoor/under cover soft play for infants would be helpful when the weather is bad or the sun is too hot. The activity coconut under cover was good but not quite suitable enough for a little one. However this is a very picky recommendation!

This hotel was fantastic. Genuinely can't fault it for one single thing. Probably the best all inclusive food I've ever had. Located perfectly, not far away from decent food, shopping and the beach. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. Also the room was perfect, it was huge! Very child orientated and lots to do here. Would highly recommend!

An excellent hotel for kids and for those who wish to stay on site for the majority of their holiday. There are two arcades, candy floss machine, popcorn machine, a little park with a slide and two swings, a splash park and small pool for kids, then two other pools. All the areas are separated so there's plenty of chairs and space. We did not have an issue finding any seats. The restaurant gets VERY busy however it is easy enough to navigate round and find places to sit. We have two vegans in our group who did find it difficult at times to find food that catered for their requirements, and there was no dessert options for them the whole time other than fruit. The snack bar is great, with options changing throughout the day but something for everyone. Really handy! The rooms are good size, but the hotel is large so you can spend a lot of time walking to your room. If you are in the side of the hotel near the stage/activity area, it can be quite loud until 11pm, as you can hear everything from the nighttime entertainment. Rooms are comfy and the housekeeping team keep the rooms well cleaned and tidied. The lock on the balcony door is a bit tricky to manage and does not always feel the safest. The activity and mini disco on an evening were good fun. Kids loved singing and dancing and playing the quizzes. Overall, a lovely family holiday. The beach and town are a very short walk away and nice to get out and take a wander. A great place for kids specifically.

This hotel was good, although we perhaps didn't find it as relaxing as we may have hoped. Also, due to the size we didn't feel as comfortable letting the kids just wonder about. Food was pretty good, but found the hotel a little rough round the edges in places. Will try and flag the good and not so good bits in the following: Check in / out - bit of a lengthy process, map of hotel was a bit rubbish in my opinion. You have to put a deposit of 50 euros, and there is a daily charge for safe (which you can knock off the deposit at the end if you want). Also was given towel cards to exchange, but 10 euro charge if you loose them. Was told there is a charge if you want a 'fresh towel'. Food - The hotel has one big buffet area for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It can get busy so getting there early is recommended. The food itself I thought was pretty good. There is also a snack bar with food available from 11:00 to 23:00, variety at snack bar was good although on some occasions the food was a bit dry where it had been left in the heated cabinets a bit too long. The snack bar also had prepacked sandwiches, and deserts. It would have been good if there was option to grab some simple snacks before the opening time (eg. If you are going out on an excursion and want to take some food with you). Drink - Available 24 hours a day from self serve area near lobby bar, but the best place was from the lobby bar itself as the drinks came in glasses and not plastic cups! All inclusive includes about 6 cocktails and a couple of non alcoholic cocktail options, as well as sangria, wine and beer as well as some spirits. (Recommend downloading the app as it tells you what they have!) More than enough options for our visit, although my son was disappointed he couldn't get any apple juice. Pools - Main pools are heated and actually seemed pretty good, although they were a tad deep for the kids to play comfortably without floats etc. There was a couple of smaller pools that didn't seem as warm, but were much shallower. We spent a fair amount of time over near the splash park as there were often more loungers there. Loungers themselves varied with a lot by the splash pool being broken (couldn't put the back up). Annoyingly, a lot of the loungers near the pool had towels on them by the time we got there, despite not being used till later. Room - Generally OK and decorated fine. Our room was a family one, and it was plenty big enough for us. As with parts of other areas of hotel a little rough round the edges (paint over mirror / door latch 'bodged' and needed lifting to shut correctly). TV didn't have much English channels but I did remind my son we wasn't there to watch TV! Entertainment - Perhaps didn't make as much use of this as kids were very tired before lots of things kicked off, although we did try to make it to the mini disco. There is no show bar / inside entertainment venue - the main venue is the outdoor stage, so we did need a long sleeve top of the few occasions we stayed out a bit later. We didn't really do any of the activities as we either missed them or couldn't work out where we needed to be. Couldn't convince the kids into the kids club... Sports / Leisure - there is a gym (no chance of me using that!), tennis courts and table tennis tables. Half way through holiday we also found the football area. (Could do with a touch up). The kids also spent time in the arcades of which there was two areas, although we tried to discourage the arcades! Shuttle to beach - was from 9 to about 3 beach hour with a break at lunch with return journey each 45 min past the hour. A useful service which takes you down to the main beach area. The hotel isn't a long way from the beach if you want to walk it, you just have to deal with the steps down / up to get to it! General location - pretty good, there are shops near by and the local market just round the corner (Wednesdays and Saturdays). Buses are pretty good, we used the stop just round the corner outside the Canarian Princess hotel to get to Palmintos Park and a couple of other places.
