Honeymoon in Bali

The perfect blend of sandy white beaches, breathtaking scenery and exotic culture, honeymoons in Bali are a truly magnificent experience. This tiny island enjoys year-round hot weather, and is considered by many to be among the most beautiful places in the world.

What Bali lacks in size, it makes up for in activities - spend your days relaxing on one of the island’s many beaches, explore crumbling ancient temples or try some authentic Indonesian cuisine. One thing’s for sure - Bali honeymoons make for a unique and unforgettable experience.

What to do on your Bali honeymoon

Many couples choose to spend their honeymoon in Bali for the beaches alone. The island features long stretches of pristine coastline - perfect for watersports, romantic strolls or topping up your tan. If you’re looking for that postcard-perfect sandy white waterfront, visit Crystal Bay. True to its name, this beach has some of the clearest waters on the island, making it something of a snorkeler’s paradise.

If you’re looking to settle somewhere off the beaten track, Bali has a plethora of hidden beaches and coves just waiting to be explored. Head to Green Bowl on the southern coast of the island for a quieter experience, with turquoise waters and golden sands - you might even get this tiny beach all to yourself!

Adventure-seekers love exploring Goa Gajah during their Bali honeymoons. This mysterious temple directly translates to ‘Elephant Cave’, and was originally built as a site for meditation back in the 11th century. A visit to the cultural heart of Bali, Ubud, is a must for anyone looking to get a taste of Bali behind the beaches. Here you’ll discover traditional arts and crafts, as well as some authentic Indonesian restaurants.

Where to honeymoon in Bali

With more and more couples choosing to have their honeymoons in Bali, it will come as no surprise that there are a wide selection of luxurious hotels scattered across the island, some of which have been designed with honeymooners in mind.

For a peaceful, relaxing experience, the Spa Village Resort, is perfect. Situated on the northeastern coast of the island, this is a wonderful choice for couples looking to experience true tranquility during their stay. You won’t find any nightclubs or all night bars here, just a world-class restaurant serving Indonesian and western cuisine, as well as a stunning spa and a variety of indulgent treatments.

If five star Bali honeymoons appeal to you, the Anantara Seminyak Bali Resort will be right up your street. Take a couple’s cooking lesson, attend a Friday night cocktail party or try your hand at one of the surfing lessons - the choice is yours!

When to honeymoon in Bali

Due to its close proximity to the equator, Bali enjoys hot temperatures throughout the year. However, like the rest of the tropics, the island does have a wet and dry season. The best time to visit Bali is from April - September, with July and August being peak season.

If you’re looking for cheaper Bali honeymoons, consider visiting between October and March. This is the wet season, so tropical monsoons are to be expected throughout the days and nights. However, due to the high temperatures, everywhere soon dries off after one of these showers.
