The Bellagio’s impressive dancing fountains are also a sight to behold, while the huge choice of restaurants on offer in the unbelievable city is sure to give you food for thought when picking where to dine.

Known for being the entertainment capital of the world, Las Vegas has endless options when it comes to attractions and activities, with something to please absolutely every visitor.

Of course, the main reason people visit Las Vegas is to gamble and with Sin City being the home of the most famous casinos in world, this is the place to do just that.

From slots and blackjack, to roulette and craps, you will find all this and more, with legendary venues such as Caesars Palace, The Bellagio, Mandalay Bay, New York, New York, the Golden Nugget, The Venetian, The Mirage and MGM Grand offering an array of high stakes games.

Many of these casinos, also provide options for entertainment, hosting residencies from music stars such as Robbie Williams, Aerosmith, Sting and Christina Aguilera, as well as shows from Cirque Du Soleil, Blue Man Group and more. Championship boxing matches are also regularly staged at the venues.

If you can tear yourself away from the casinos and entertainment, you should definitely check out some of Las Vegas’ world-famous attractions, with so much to see and do along the city’s colourful strip.

The Fountains of Bellagio offer a spectacle of water, lights and music, while the pyramid-themed Luxor Hotel & Casino is also worth checking out. Other notable sights include the replica of the Eiffel Tower outside Paris Las Vegas, the big top of Circus Circus and the Camelot-inspired Excalibur Hotel.

Theme park fun can also be had in Vegas, with New York, New York being home to The Big Apple Coaster, and the Stratosphere Hotel offering the SkyPod and The Strat thrill rides.

Back on the ground, the free Viva Vision light show at Freemont Street Experience is a sight to behold, with stunning images shown on a stake-of-the-art canopy screen that stretches 1,375 feet along the street. Visitors can also enjoy the attraction from a better vantage point, with a zip line ride on offer for those brave enough to try it.

If nightlife is what you’re after during your visit to Las Vegas, you won’t have to look very far. Clubs and bars are on offer at most hotels, with Fountain Room, at Mandalay Bay; Chateau, at Paris Las Vegas, and Voodoo Rooftop Nightclub, at Rio, among the venues worth seeking out. You can also party by the pool during the day, with options including the Moorea Beach Club, at Mandalay Bay; Palms Pool, at the Palms, and The Tank Pool, at Golden Nugget.

Where to Eat in Las Vegas


One thing you can definitely bet on in Las Vegas, is that there’s a restaurant to suit every need, and dishes to suit absolutely every taste.

Whether you’re in the mood for pizza or pasta, steak or sushi, you’re sure to find exactly what you’re looking for in this incredible destination, with an array of dining venues on offer, serving cuisine from every corner of the globe.

It’s highly likely that the hotel you’re staying in already offers a spectrum of superb restaurants. However, for an extra special feast, you might look to dine elsewhere.

For a true taste of America, seek out Bobby’s Burger Place, inspired by Food Network’s Bobby Flay, or how about some fine French cuisine at Michelin-starred chef Pierre Gagnaire’s Twist by Pierre Gagnaire, at the Mandarin Oriental?

Fare from Gordon Ramsey is also on the menu in Sin City, with Paris Las Vegas playing host to Gordon Ramsey Steak.

Alternatively, you could be tempted to head to VegeNation for a completely plant-based feast, or Freed’s Bakery for a sugar fix.

Events and Festivals


America’s Party Downtown – New Year’s Eve

Ring in the new year in Las Vegas with a party of epic proportions at the Fremont Street Experience. Featuring live entertainment, music and fireworks, this is a celebration not to be missed.

Las Vegas PRIDE Festival

Usually held over two days in October, the Las Vegas PRIDE Festival is a celebration of the city’s diversity, with everyone welcome. The event also features the PRIDE Parade, when members of the LGBTQ community, along with their friends and families, take to Fairmont Street on floats and foot for a glittering procession full of colour and fun.

Independence Day

Vegas knows how to celebrate, and July 4 is no different with spectacular firework displays right across the city, including at many of Casinos along the Strip. One of the best places to enjoy the extravaganza, held to celebrate the Declaration of Independence in 1776, is in front of Caesars Palace.
