I recently stayed at ibis Samui, and I must say it exceeded my expectations for an affordable stay. The hotel offers stunning views, especially at night with the serene sea ambiance adding to the charm. The dining experience was delightful, with a good variety of dishes, all beautifully presented and delicious. The ambiance throughout the property is cozy and welcoming. The rooms are clean and comfortable, with thoughtful little touches that make you feel at home. Waking up to a beautiful ocean view was definitely a highlight. For the price, this place is a gem. I’ll definitely be coming back for another relaxing getaway. Highly recommended for budget travelers looking for quality without breaking the bank!

The rooms are pretty okay if you’re traveling for 2. They have good view from the balcony, it has drying racks as well. Bummer for the rooms is that the walls maybe thin because we can easily hear the outside noise. The Service is okay, nothing super special. We decided not to get their breakfast since there’s really not much choices (no bacon too when we ate :(). They have happy hour for their bar, 2x a day. The pool is very nice, they have multiple pools, a gym, playground for kids too. The beach maybe is the bummer since there’s no way to sunbathe if the tide’s high. It’s along the highway so it’s pretty convenient to go to 7eleven and drive to other areas in Samui.

Just stayed here for 6 nights (originally booked 4 nights and extended 2 more nights). Room was clean , there was constantly staff cleaning and gardening. The service at the front desk and bar was superb, super nice people. They let us stay free of charge until 14:00 because our flight was late, which is a very kind gesture. The bathroom for the basic room is very small, and the shower’s grout could use a deep cleaning. But other than that- we loved everything about this hotel.

I can tell that’s one of the BEST hotel in my life. ! Since when I came here first time, we booked room sea view 2 nights it’s room 3222. The reception was so goodddd. Now talk about the room .. I’m kind of like stunningly beautiful the room so good more than I thought 😂😭.. TV- Bathroom-and all of stuff in the room is so perfect, I don’t have any complaints for the room. For the facilities of hotel like pool-bar or yard. Everything is so perfect and very beautiful that I really love this place.. you can see on my pictures reviews here. And I’m sure that we will come back to stay here for sure and longer more than before 😊❤️🇹🇭🌴

Good location, beach front, easy access to 7-Eleven, food, etc. Parking is ample if you drive. Guest service was good. We booked 2 rooms and were able to get a room to check in at 1130am. while the second room we got after our lunch outside. Room size is not too big but sufficient, bathroom slightly smaller but manageable. Breakfast was OK, not great, but no complaints. The pool is nice, and they also have a massage hut by the pool. The beach is nice to walk and swim in. We had dinner at the Pool Bar, and the food was amazing. Overall, I was happy with our stay here. Maybe only drawback is our block does not have a lift, but the staff were able to assist us with our luggage but if I have mobility issue then I would recommend for you to inform the hotel during booking, maybe to get a lower level room.

Very clean - and nice hotel. Placed right on the nice Chaweng beach, and nearly in Chaweng city. Very nice service. Free sunbeds and towels. Sweet staff. Nice breakfast. Room not too big. We payed extra for ocean view... but it was more Palm view. Balcony is VERY SMALL - only for 1 person 😪

The hotel was clean, comfortable, and had a fantastic beach. However, there were unexpected construction works, which was disappointing. Despite that, everything else was excellent, including the breakfast. The staff was friendly and attentive, offering good value for money.

It’s ok… location is great but gives hostel vibes. Wouldn’t stay here again. Wouldn’t recommend for a couple, maybe for a friend trip. The best thing here is the beachfront area. Walls are so thin too 🥲

We stayed here two years ago and wasn’t disappointed then so had to stay here again as the place is so clean and the beds are comfy which goes a long way when you stay in as many hotels as we do when travelling around. Perfectly situated on the out skirts of a manic street so you can still get a good nights sleep but only a stone throw away from the heart of the bustle

We stayed here in October 2024 as a family for a holiday. The location is good to get out and about. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Food was lovely too with good amount of choice. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Extremely happy with our stay here. Booked the suite, was much bigger than expected. - AC was nice and cold - Bed was a little on the firm side but that isn't a bad thing - Staff were very friendly and started to remember our drink orders after day 2 - Prices were great and meant we could enjoy all day cocktails at the hotel - A little outside the noisy area near the Ark Bar and Samui central, but still close enough to walk by road or by beach - Beach was stunning at our time of year Only Con I can come up with is that reception is on the lake side of the road with that building and the beach side is just the rooms and restaurant with a single night guard. 10/10 will be staying again

The resort and rooms have potential. The room unfortunately had a musty smell in it we couldn’t get rid of. Over the days it got worse but the room was nice and so was the staff. The breakfast was not included with our room and we had to pay 550 baht per person for the buffet and that is just insanely high. The beers and meals were also fairly high in my opinion. The stay was good other wise and the little beach space is nice, you don’t have to pay to access the chairs so that’s a plus.

Noisy hotel room, impossible to sleep! from 9 p.m. until 3 a.m. We are staying 3 more nights and they will not change rooms unless we pay 1000 bath per night. We paid 300 euros which is huge for terrible service. They also don't want to reimburse us for the 3 nights we have left, it's completely amazing not to be able to sleep and that the hotel does nothing to satisfy its customers! really to escape

Where do I start...The staff's friendliness truly enhances the experience, making guests feel warmly welcomed throughout their stay. Treat them with respect and show them your appreciation. The hotel maintains high cleanliness standards, ensuring a comfortable and hygienic environment for guests. Not gonna lie but this hotel wasn't our first choice but so happy that we went with Matcha in the end. They have an amazing pool to unwind and relax. Whether enjoying a leisurely swim or lounging poolside if the sea is rough. Didn't do to many pics with the facilities as I was just relaxong😂😂😂 Additionally, the hotel's culinary offerings are amazing and decent prices. From traditional Thai cuisine to international favorites, every meal is a culinary delight Adjacent to the hotel is the Orca Massage, offering guests the opportunity to further indulge in relaxation and rejuvenation(Aloe vera massage and thai massaga), Orca Massage provides the perfect way to realx after a day in the sun. I had a sprain ankle and they treated my ankle without any extra cost or me even mentioning it. The ladies are funny and amazing. Treat them with respect. Overall, the Matcha Hotel in Thailand provides a memorable and enjoyable experience, combining friendly service, cleanliness, delicious food, and luxurious amenities for a truly unforgettable stay. You can tell the hotel had a remodeling lately. I would go there again in a heart beat. Just bear in mind that a deposit of 2000 THB is required when you check-in per room in case you do damage to the rooms that you get back at check-out. Even though its a 3 star hotel it feels like a 4 honestly and they deserve more credit online.

MATCHA Samui Resort in Thailand was a delightful experience. The rooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable, offering a great place to unwind. The Breakfast was also really good ! Its location made it easy to explore the area, with beaches and bustling spots close by. GBOW at the reception desk was incredibly friendly and helpful. I definitely suggest considering MATCHA Samui Resort for your next trip to Thailand; it's a fantastic choice for a relaxing getaway! 10/10

We stayed in this hotel in May 2024. This hotel greatly exceeded our expectations!!! The cost was 840 Thai baht per night, which is very cheap, especially for a hotel on Koh Samui. Since we stayed during the monsoon season, we expected to spend time in our room when it was raining. The TV in the room was excellent. The TV was able to connect to the internet which allowed us to watch Netflix or YouTube, for example. Wewere even able to connect our phone to the TV and watch You Tube premium. The hotel also had a large swimming pool, which is great for families with children. Finally, the hotel’s staff were friendly and helpful. In conclusion, I would highly recommend this hotel, especially for travelers who are on a tight budget.

The room is big but the bathroom is small with a strong smell of sewerage. Beds are very hard and old. There are a lot of steps to get to the rooms so definitely a bad idea with a mobility impaired guest. Also its very noisy at 10.15 it sounded like a night club opened in the room next to mine and went on until 2am! Even without the club road noise is present.

Me and my friend stay here for a week and we feel good. Cosy, convenient, silent except for the noisy guests sometimes. The place seems was a luxorious resort one day, but for some reason it got more affordable level: there us bestiful artificial waterfall and the series of lakes, which are beatiful, but not functioning. I would recomment pick rooms higher on the hill to be more far from road and do not take seaview, as these numbers probably very sunny. Cleaning started only when we started leaving, when we got in first day it was quite dirty.

This hotel was once great but now lacks manitenance. They provided kettles with 3 point plugs and the entire room only had 2 point sockets. I wonder if anyone ever really checked this room properly. Everything was really delayed as they just didnt have the staff needed. The place is well decorated but the rooms havent been maintained.
