Things to do in Antalya

Bursting with beauty and culture, and providing endless options for exploration and recreation, it’s easy to see why holidays to the resorts across the Antalya region are so popular. Sandwiched between the Taurus Mountains and the Mediterranean Sea, this incredible destination has it all, making it perfect for family, friends and couples alike.
Of course, the biggest attraction has to be Antalya’s golden shores, which make the resorts along its coast ideal for luxury beach holidays. As well as being able to relax on beautiful Blue Flag beaches in Alanya, Side, Manavgat, Lara and Konyaalti amongst others, visitors will also find a variety of thrilling water sports to enjoy. Jet-skiing, scuba diving and parasailing are all available, while those seeking a more laid-back activity can enjoy a leisurely boat trip along the coast.
Water-based family fun is also provided, with a host of water parks to choose from. The allure of Antalya does not stop at its beach resorts, with picture-perfect scenery waiting to be discovered inland, including that on offer in the Koprulu Canyon Natural Park, a great spot for hiking and rafting. The region is also home to a number of spectacular waterfalls, with the Alara Ucansu and Kursunlu waterfalls worthy of a visit.
Antalya also boasts a rich history, with Kaleici, the old city centre, amongst the attractions to explore. As well as being home to a host of ancient buildings and Antalya’s historic port, it also takes in the impressive Hadrian’s Gate, built during the reign of Roman Emperor Hadrian, between 117 and 138 BC.
If shopping is more your thing, then you should definitely pay a visit to one of the many Turkish bazaars. While there you can try your hand at bartering and maybe even pick up a unique holiday souvenir, the perfect memento of your visit to Antalya.
