Had a blissful and relaxing weekend stay at our favorite serene place, the Oberoi Beach Resort, Al Zorah. This is a perfect place to be in if you want to just take it slow and reconnect with nature. The room, beach, pool and facilities are top-notch. In addition to that, the warm and accommodating staffs who always assure you that everything is being well taken cared of, made our stay more enjoyable. Thanks Hannah and everyone, we will definitely come back.

This place is just like any Oberoi hotel. Fantastic service and the location is perfect for a quiet getaway. The rooms are surrounded by greenery and you can hear the waves from the beach if you stay in one of the large villas.
Hands down, the best part of this place is the amazing staff who go out of their way to accommodate you. If you have any dietary requirements, they always try and accommodate your requests. Have been here twice, and I do recommend staying in the villas if possible, but the rooms are great as well.

Very green hotel with tranquil atmosphere. Very friendly staff. Refreshing outdoor swimming pool 85m length. Usually I don't like swimming pool and never swim there but in Oberoy it's sooo nice that we spent there a lot of time.

Dissapointed beyond belief!!
We drove 1.5 hrs from Dubai to spend the weekend at this hotel only to find that our car was requested to be parked outside in the 40-degree heat.
We observed over 100 other cars parked and blocked the Civil Defence fire truck access route to the hotel perimeter.
Upon arrival, there was an absence of Oberoi management or leadership, we noticed a mass cohort of other guests left roaming around the hotel in the heat with no direction to the breakfast area.
Once we arrived at the breakfast lounge, we were charged a staggering 300 AED for what I can only be described as a sub optimum buffet. The breakfast dining space was insufficient for the volume of guests, it was overcrowded with people treading on top of one another, so we rmeoved outselves from the chaos and waited patiently outside in the heat, and by the egg cooking station for approx 30 mins, which ill note was swarming with flies, and we watched while the chefs took orders and cooked for the other seated guests as a priority while we stood, and waited in the baking heat.
Finally once we had recieved our food, we returned inside only to find a mess of tabled and left over food, the staff were out of their depth, and in some cases, little remaining from buffet choices.
We communicated our frustration to the Oberoi staff, who advised us, "The whole thing has been a disaster for guests from start to finish."
We waited patiently, standing for another 40 mins due to being told that there was no indoor seating left.
We eventually left without eating, and our uneaten food remained at the bar countertop because there was nowhere indoors for us to eat!!
We communicated our issue to the staff 3 times, yet no solution was provided, we were left there holding our plates. We then asked to speak to management and were advised to meet the General Manager in the lobby, where we were advised he would be waiting for us. We took the buggy to the lobby only to find the GM was otherwise engaged, so we waited in the library.
To our unwelcome surprise, the Oberoi staff member we had spoken to in confidence regarding the complaint proceeded to place blame on the organisers of a car event and failed to take any responsibility at all. They then proceeded without our consent to invite two other guests over to talk to us regarding our complaint and disclosed our private complaint to them, the hotel staff deliberately involved those guests in our dispute with the hotel GM, which made matters worse since it was a private conversation and non of their business. We felt immediately embarrassed, and Oberoi had breached our guest confidentiality and abused our trust.
The management and service we received were certainly not up to the standards we expected of Oberoi hotels.
At 12 noon, after wasting a whole morning driving and then waiting around to speak with the Oberoi management, we decided to cancel our booking, turn back and leave the hotel to drive back to Dubai, this was due to the embarrassment caused by the breach of trust, and the poor service.
We requested a refund for our booking, breakfast, which is still pending at the time of writing.
We would like to escalate this matter to the Oberoi regional leadership, especially regarding the total breach of client confidentiality and the damage caused to our reputation and embarrassment caused.
