Island perfection. My family and I chose PARKROYAL as it seemed to be the perfect location for our young family. We could not have chosen a better place. From the friendly staff who could not help us enough, the beautiful pools, fun splash parks, fantastic kids play area and of course picture perfect beach were all exactly what we hoped for. The rooms were great. Spacious, minimalistic but comfortable, with all the appliances you could need. (Note no bath tubs only showers). The balconies provided beautiful views of the sea, beach and resort. Breakfast provided so many options to keep everyone happy. The hotel put on activities and we were able to enjoy a snake show. My toddler loved the kid's play area. The staff there were attentive and sweet. The lounge was a perfect setting for evening drinks. Room servicing was of a high standard. The in house restaurants served delicious food.

We are a family of 3 adults, we’ve stayed here multiple times & we enjoy it here always. Firstly, it’s sea view. And then the service staff here are very hospitable. Shout out to Mazlina, Adeline and John for always bringing a smile and amazing service each time we are here. Food is accessible throughout the day during our stay, there is a night market for shopping. Normally we will spend the day at the resort to relax. It’s a nice change of pace from the city ◡̈ we look forward to our next visit.

Booked 4 room for 5D4N for the family and they all love it. 1. Welcome drinks and snacks were good! 2. Great pool and slides for kids and adults. 2. Buffet was good, especially omelette. 3. Gym has most of the equipment and bonus jacuzzi in toilet. 4. Ordered food for room service and they were not bad. 5. Clean room looks the same as advertised (very important). 6. Easy access to beach. Some note: 1. Little far from Georgetown but you can get Grab easily. 2. Small lift so might have to wait for a while. 3. Water pressure not too high. 4. Toothbrush bristle was hard! They were doing some renovations during our stay but it did not affect our experience. Amazing resort overall and I can’t wait to go back again.

Excellent resort, staff are so helpful and always smiling. The management team are very professional and always willing to help make you feel comfortable and happy, and resolve any issues you have. Excellent location , with amazing sunset views from your room, we stayed on the 7th floor and the views were amazing.

The beach and hotel pool was fantastic, the breakfast buffet had a lot of variety as well. The Italian restaurant was super tasty but very expensive. The rooms were really nice however, we found mould on the wooden sliding bathroom doors so the rooms could be more throughly cleaned.

Overall a positive and memorable experience. Good facility. Very close to the beach. Good location - we drove to and from the hotel and George Town, and to the tropical spice garden, Escape theme park, ATV in jungle and durian farm- all within acceptable driving time. Buffet breakfast provides a wide range of food-with Malay traditional charcoal toasted bread and Malay coffee and tea. Love the fried egg station too! Don't stay outdoor as the pigeons will fly to your table and steal your food.

Had a really nice vacation here. Highly recommended to spend all day enjoying the facilities and beach view. Be careful, there might be monkeys visiting your balcony. Location: Not close to the downtown but it means you won’t be bother. Could be chill and relax here. Breakfast: Various choices Facility: Swimming pool, gym, spa. Some water sports are bookable. Service: The staff are very friendly and professional.

The room was spacious. Comfy bed. Quiet. Breakfast buffet, pool drinks, afternoon high tea set, and cocktail lounge service were all inclusive. Daily fresh fruits in the room. What a bargain.

we come here every year in the summer for vacation, we just arrived to the hotel and we wanted to enter the afternoon tea, considering that we are a big family of 11 people, some of us are at the check in and some seating for afternoon tea. The issue here is that one of the lady waitresses is asking lots of questions as if we are stealing or something….what your room number and why are you sitting here….i think as a loyal customer we would like to be welcomed here….the hotel is so good, the environment is good and comfy…its so sad to be treated in this way

Amazing stay at Shangri-La. Would return to visit to stay for a month. Property grounds are amazing and is very peaceful to sit and enjoy the day. Hotel has shuttle services to George Town which need the shuttle ticket.
