We had a two-night stay at this hotel, and overall it was quite enjoyable. The hotel has a stunning lobby and an amazing outdoor pool with a poolside bar where you can order drinks and food while relaxing in the pool. However, there's room for improvement in the bar menu, as the cocktail options were limited, and the bartenders, although friendly, could benefit from expanding their drink-making knowledge. The room was clean, and we loved its beautiful design. Breakfast was excellent, with many options to choose from. The restaurant's layout was a bit inconvenient, as different food sections were spread far apart, requiring multiple trips back and forth. Consolidating the food into one area would greatly improve the dining experience. Regarding location, being right by the beach was a plus, but the hotel is rather far from the city, making it a bit inconvenient for those looking to enjoy the nightlife. Despite this, I would still recommend this hotel, as our overall experience was pleasant and enjoyable.

We stayed 4 nights at Room 530 and 739 during the New Year time. Spacious room with comfortable bed. Good service too. However, we disappointed at the check-in when the room only ready at 4.30 pm and need to pay extra IDR 1,4 mil per-night for connecting room of 739, when connecting room already reserved thru the receptionist by phone. Otherwise, we would not booked the rooms. Breakfast just so so but service was great

We stayed at the Sakala Hotel in Bali for 30 days in July. The service was absolutely top-notch! The staff were incredibly warm and always tried to assist us with every request. The hotel is very well maintained, and the food is of the highest quality. The beach at the location is not suitable for swimming, as there are water sports activities taking place there. However, there is an alternative with a shuttle service to a small private beach owned by the hotel. The only downside for us was the continuous music, which made it difficult to find a quiet spot to take a phone call, work remotely, read a book, or simply enjoy some peace and quiet.

What a wonderful experience at the sakala resort. From the minute we walked in until we left we were treated like royalty. Excellent, friendly staff that saw to all our needs. Food and entertainment was also very good. Evan was amazing with his outstanding personality and helpfulness. Will certainly be back here

If you want to be near great beaches/ restaurants/ cafes or services with massages salons etc. , don’t even think about this hotel. Also, it’s not accessible for people in a wheelchair which is on the hotel’s website. The location is so far away from literally everything. The transfer to the beach is a joke as the beach is so small.

Does have all inclusive food/drinks but straight opposite is a grocery store, bakery, money exchange, laundry and a wellness spa....Lotus Rooms I think, good massage and cheaper or same than most up through Nusa Dua. Second stay here and the staff are beautiful.

All up, enjoyed my stay at Bali Tropic. The staff were super attentive and friendly and offered stunning service. The buffet breakfast was also very plentiful and delicious. The resort grounds were also lush and green and very well maintained. However, the rooms were quite old and dated hence the lower rating. This resulted in a musty smell. There was also a mould patch in the bathroom, little ants and insects scurrying across the walls and quite a bit of wear and tear. The facilities also did not live up to expectations and the price paid. While the pool was very nice and included a swim up bar, the private beach was quite dirty. It also smelt strongly of fuel in the beach area as ships would apparently refuel nearby. There were also other facilities such as a gym, bocce, darts and a mini library. These facilities were quite worn out and the mini library was outdoors and had books that had become mouldy due to the climate. If Bali tropic changes and upgrades its rooms and facilities, it would be even better.

This was our second visit to Bali and our fourth stay in a 4* hotel. We spent four nights at Bali Tropic Resort and Spa and had a mixed experience. The resort has a beautiful beachfront with a lovely garden and plenty of water sports options. The shallow, calm water is ideal for relaxing, making it great for a laid-back beach day. Unfortunately, the deluxe rooms we booked were underwhelming. The amenities were adequate, with combined bathroom and bedroom space. The toilet had a strong, persistent odor despite a large fan running continuously. The view from our balcony was disappointing, facing a building just three meters away with ongoing construction. This made our room unbearably noisy from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., preventing any chance of rest. After requesting a quieter option, we were relocated to different rooms on the opposite side of the building, which improved the noise situation. It's outrageous surprising the management considered the original rooms suitable for guests on vacation. Breakfast was decent, with pastries being a highlight, though the coffee fell short. We also tried the chicken satay, fish and chips, breaded chicken, and pizza; the pizzas were average, and the chicken lacked flavor. Overall, Bali Tropic Resort and Spa feels overpriced compared to other five-star and even some four-star hotels in Bali. For the same rate, there are several better options available nearby. :(

We were given a room that with a balcony open ups to a green wall very closer to the balcony. I was travelling with teenagers thus booked 2 rooms. We didn’t receive rooms closer to each other. We went to the restaurant which staff service were really poor. Took so long to get their attention to get the menus. Then no one came to take the orders for another 15 to 20min. We walked off as didn’t feel like looked after. Location is great. But this cannot be a 4star hotel.

We had a lovely experience at this resort. The service is friendly, the rooms are comfortable and the buffet breakfast was amazing! They offer complimentary activities at the resort each day and performances with dinner each night. A very small thing that would have made our stay even better, which is a personal preference, was if they had Netflix available, as there were only Indonesian free to air channels on the tv. Still had an enjoyable stay though and I can highly recommend it!

A perfect stay for couples and families Hotel Ayodya truly exceeded our expectations. The deluxe room was spacious and luxurious and one of the highlights was the welcome note and a bowl of fruit – a refreshing touch! The variety of food on offer was fantastic and the pool was always a perfect place to relax. The swings are superb and the free activities are daily according to schedule. Free bicycles, towels and sunbeds, the reception is incredible like an ancient Balinese museum where you can sit and read or work online. The property itself is well maintained with a beautiful infinity pool next to the beach with amazing views. The staff were incredibly warm and prompt, always ready to help with anything we needed. The location of the hotel in the middle of Nusa Dua is ideal – right on the beach and close to Bali Collection (free shuttle bus), giving us easy access to local attractions. Plus, the affordable spa services were a nice bonus. Safety for tourists comes first and the gong at the entrance to the reception sends you a high vibration. You can't get bored in a luxury hotel with 500 rooms with 3 wings, like a mini-town, spread over several hectares. Overall, we had a great time and felt absolutely great during our stay. I would happily go back to Ayodya anytime!

Great resort built reflecting traditional Balinese architecture. The grounds are like a botanic garden and the Health spa is amazing. What really makes this Resort really stand out is the team of friendly helpful staff who greet you with a genuine warm greeting and are always ready to assist. The Spa staff were amazing. Our waitress at breakfast Suesti providing good old fashioned service which too often is hard to find. Thank you everyone who made our short stay so memorable. We will be back and definitely recommending to friends.

We had an incredible experience at this resort! The atmosphere was fantastic, and it truly has everything you need to relax and enjoy without leaving the property. We got the all inclusive package and totally worth. The dining options were amazing, and we especially loved the waterfall restaurant. The beach and poolside service was top-notch as well. I had mixed feelings about my stay at Ayodya Resort. I booked two months in advance with two simple requests, but they weren’t even acknowledged. I refused the first room due to this, and based on the next two rooms offered, they could have accommodated my request but didn’t bother to in the first place. Pros: -Polite, friendly staff who always greet you and work hard to keep the resort clean and tidy. -Beautiful, well-maintained landscaped grounds. Big area. -Plenty of space and privacy on the beach and around the pools. -Great pool options: 4 in total (2 for Ayodya Palace, big main pool with small slides for kids, and an adult infinity pool with ocean views). -Lots of activities and games, plus free bicycles. -Lovely wildlife, including squirrels, lizards, birds, and geese. -Big rooms, fresh towels and water in the room daily. Cons: -Rooms are very old and need renovation. Showers are over bathtubs (our shower was very old, full of limescale) and some rooms have a damp smell. -Cleaning is superficial; corners and furniture need deep cleaning, no attention to details. -Food is average. We chose to eat outside for lunch and dinner…

Very nice, luxurious accommodation! 😎 Great amenities and friendly staff – the buffet breakfast at Waterfall restaurant, every morning, had everything you could possibly want and imagine, and the food options in the remaining 5 restaurants and bars was comprehensive and always fresh. 👌 The beach was fantastic with clean turquoise waters and soft white sand – my wife and I had a wonderful time, despite travelling during wet season, and highly recommend the Ayodya Resort for your next stay in Bali. 🙏

I read lots of reviews before choosing this hotel, the hotel had lots and lots of great reviews, but! Some, not many poor reviews! But these, in my opinion, were unjustified, I'll tell you why, these few people were reviewing the hotel based on the price of food and drink! And not for the beautiful traditional Bali hotel that it is, this is a 5-star hotel and in my opinion, the prices were reasonable, when you come to a beautiful 5-star hotel you expect slightly higher prices. Besides! If you want a sports car, but can't afford to run it, then don't buy a sports car! You get what I mean. Anyway, we had a beautiful stay and still have another 4 days to go as this review goes to press, even some of the rain couldn't dampen our stay at this beautiful resort. Room service is second to none, within a few minutes of any request being made, and it was there and served with a smile. The private beach is cleaned and beautifully presented every day with fresh unlimited towels. The breakfast was plentiful with a lot of different cuisines to choose from, 3 egg stations ready to make your eggs or omelettes just the way you like them, the latte was the best coffee I've had in a long time, and everything was done with a gracious smile. Taxi service with a fee to wherever you wish on the island is there within minutes. Beach service, pool service, if you just want a relaxing carefree holiday then this hotel and the people that run it will take good care of you, I am already looking forward to coming back. I can't honestly find anything negative to say about this paradise.

Beautiful hotel! So much good about this hotel it’s hard to narrow it down to one short review. Magnificent restaurants, particularly the Asian restaurant where I ate most of the time. The food was beautifully presented and a great variety of dishes and made with the freshest of fresh ingredients. Staff are amazing and go out of their way to make your stay special. Rooms were cleaned super fast and again, the staff were amazing. Don’t hesitate to stay at this beautiful hotel.

I recently stayed at this resort hotel for 8 days, including New Year’s Eve, and unfortunately, it did not meet our expectations. Despite booking the same type of room, my group and I were assigned vastly different accommodations located at opposite ends of the hotel. It was quite frustrating to be so far apart, especially since we were traveling together. Additionally, the atmosphere was not very welcoming, thanks to numerous arrogant Australian guests who seemed to have little regard for others. This made our experience less enjoyable. Another significant issue was the shortage of pool chairs and seating at the hotel’s restaurants. We often found ourselves struggling to find a place to relax, and the limited availability made our time here less pleasant than we had hoped. Even on the beach, it was difficult to find available spots to enjoy the sun. Moreover, the staff was not accommodating regarding the mistakes they made during our stay, which was very unprofessional. Instead of addressing our concerns, they seemed indifferent, which only added to our dissatisfaction. The spa was another major disappointment. Despite several people in our group requesting stronger massages during their sessions, the massages remained weak, vague, and lackluster. On top of that, they were incredibly overpriced. We cannot recommend the hotel spa. Instead, we highly suggest visiting 3D Relaxation Center, located just 5 minutes away by car. They offer a much better experience at only one-third of the price, and they even provide a pickup service if needed. To make matters worse, we saw rats in the kitchen of the hotel, which was unacceptable. After this, we decided to dine in the city for the rest of our stay, where the hygiene and dining experience were much better. To top it all off, the hotel staff provided inconsistent information. With a group of ten traveling together, we encountered various responses to our inquiries, which led to confusion and frustration. Overall, our 8-day stay was disappointing, and I would not recommend this resort.

The best resort in Bali. Location is right along the beach, the water is very calm and safe to swim in. Breakfast buffet is the one of the best I've been to in a hotel with so many food options to choose from. Service is excellent with everyone so attentive and friendly. Lots of great food options, fairly reasonably priced given it is a 5 star resort. The resort itself has so many activities to do, many for free and some for a small fee. Stand outs were the virtual golf ( great for when it is rainy) and sea canoeing.

I really wanted to give this hotel a higher rating, but after some thought, this is the best I can do. My family opted for the all-inclusive package and tried to experience everything the resort had to offer. The kids loved the Kids Club—no complaints there. My wife and I made use of the sporting facilities, including the squash courts (which are air-conditioned but have a deteriorating floor), tennis courts, and bikes for rides along the beach path. However, the entire resort feels quite outdated, nowhere near a five-star standard. They are planning renovations soon, so I would suggest waiting to book until after those are complete. We’ve visited Bali before and know how to be cautious with the water, but despite being careful, both my wife and I got Bali belly at different times. After considering all the factors, we believe it came from the drinks, which was quite frustrating. There’s essentially only one pool everyone can use unless you’ve booked one of the exclusive ones, which limits the experience. Room service food was subpar compared to other resorts we’ve stayed at on the island. Some of the restaurants, like the Japanese one, were exceptional—truly top-tier—but others, like El Patio, were lacking in quality. One big issue was the pool chairs. There’s a rule that towels left unattended will be removed, but it’s not enforced. We found the same guests claiming the best spots every morning, leaving their belongings there for hours without showing up. Enforcing this rule would really help others enjoy those prime spots closer to the pool. The buzzers for ordering food or drinks by the pool rarely worked, although the staff, when they did come by, were always friendly and helpful. The YHI Spa is easily a five-star experience—my wife and I both had multiple massages, and each one was fantastic. The rooms are in desperate need of renovation. The bathrooms are dated, with poor water pressure and small, outdated shower heads. It just doesn't feel like a five-star resort in this condition. On a positive note, the gardens are beautifully maintained and a pleasure to walk through. In summary, while there were some high points, especially the spa and some of the restaurants, the resort is currently not at the five-star level it claims to be. I’d recommend waiting until after the renovation to see if it improves.

We wish we had read the reviews before booking. Despite notifying the hotel about our vegetarian dietary needs, breakfast was the same every day. We had to keep asking different chefs for something different, but nothing changed. The hotel claims to have multiple pools, but we were restricted to one. Good luck finding a beach bed if you’re not up by 9 am. We expected the warm Balinese hospitality we’ve experienced elsewhere, but it was missing here. Overall, very dissatisfied and felt it was a waste of money.

Staff were so lovely. We had butler service with our room and they were excellent. Always checking in to see if we needed anything and so kind to our kids. The property itself is lovely in most parts but some areas are dated and in need of a clean/update. Our room was massive but again, a little damp smelling and showing signs of use and age. Would definitely stay again. Big thanks to butler Edi for taking such good care of us.

We stayed at the Sofitel Nusa Dua in a one-bedroom villa with a plunge pool to celebrate our wedding anniversary and it was an unforgettable experience. The private pool villa was amazing, offering the perfect blend of comfort and privacy. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the staff. The room was spacious and comfortable. The hotel facilities were excellent, and having direct access to the beach. The food was great—every meal was a treat for the senses. We truly had an incredible stay and can’t wait to return in the future. Highly recommended!

We have stayed at Sofitel Nusa Dua five times since 2018, and while we initially loved this resort, the standard of service has sadly declined with each visit. Regrettably, this recent stay will likely be our last. The rooms remain beautifully designed and comfortable, showcasing the luxury you’d expect from a Sofitel property. However, small but impactful oversights, like a missing chair at our dining table, made simple activities like having a meal with my partner unnecessarily awkward. We noticed there are now no longer snacks offered in the mini bad and drink selections have been reduced. We also had problems with hot water and the lock on the back door to our plunge pool room was broken making it possible for anyone to walk into our room. The most noticeable issue, however, is with the food and beverage service. It’s apparent that a large portion of the staff consists of daily workers, and unfortunately, this has led to a lack of organization. During the Christmas brunch, for example, we waited 45 minutes for drinks, and 30 minutes for a coffee the following morning at breakfast. the table service felt rushed and impersonal—hardly what you’d expect from a 5-star resort. Also sad to see chipped and cracked plates at the buffet. Sofitel Nusa Dua still has a lot of potential, but the service standards and attention to detail need significant improvement to justify themselves as a 5 star resort. For now, we’ll be looking elsewhere for our next holiday.

The gym was top-notch, and the pool was an absolute dream. Our room was spacious and even had a bath overlooking the beach – pure bliss! We can't wait to return.

This was our second time staying in this beautiful resort. We felt welcomed from the first day, all of the staff have been very attentive, ensuring that we were very well looked after throughout our stay. Immaculate presentation of the rooms, pool area and the beach only complimented their warm hospitality. Location is also within an easy access to different places and points of interest as well as within 30min drive to the airport. We can’t wait to return to this lovely resort next time we visit Bali.
