Old hotel and it deserves 2 stars ! I Check in took long, unprofessional no interior AC areas ! Its a jungle, the spa closes at 5 pm they barely speak english THE BEACH IS DIRTY AND HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH BOOKING PHOTOS ! Not recomended for who search for a 5 star hotel We have been in Bali in several places and this is the only bad experience we had ! Please be carefull before booking or pay at property so you check first

This was our second stay at Bali Tropic Resort and once again a thoroughly enjoyable and relaying stay. The staff are super friendly and make this resort a great place to stay. Love the breakfast buffet and options for lunch and dinner, and the pool with bar is a favourite spot to escape the heat. Thankyou BTRS 😀

Old, smelly and well below average Just checked out (early) from this hotel after a short and unpleasant stay- General: This is in no way a 5 star hotel. It is 2 star, maybe 2.5 at best. It’s very old and worn out in every way. Most things are noticeably damaged-chipped-faded. The room towels are practically disintegrating they are so worn out. Service: Very slow check in. We spent nearly an hour waiting and they didn’t provide updates. Then they gave us the wrong room type and said we’d have to wait another hour for the right room to he cleaned. They took our bags and didn’t let us know where they were. Later they only brought half of them so had to go and find the others. Clearly no organised approach to luggage storage or handling here. Room and facilities: Electrical issues in the room. The lights would cut out / blow fuse and they’d need to be reset. Room was very musty and smelled of mould. There is minimal soundproofing, we constantly heard the guests above us walking heavily and loudly throughout the night. Pool like everything seems very old and isn’t in good condition. There is an incredibly strong chlorine smell to the point that it is unpleasant to even stand next to it, let alone swim in it. Only one good thing I would note is that the restaurant staff were lovely. Service from other teams (front desk and porters) was poor but I can only say good things about the restaurant team. Very sweet and attentive.

The rooms are very spacious. There is also a bathtub and a sleeping cot. There are no supermarkets around and it is a bit remote, so you can relax for that reason. Marine sports, swimming pools and a private beach can be enjoyed. The private beach is about 5 minutes away by shuttle bus. The breakfast is varied and very tasty. Egg dishes and sweets are particularly recommended. The water temperature and water pressure in the showers is good. A taxi is needed to get anywhere. It takes a long time to get to your room as the hotel are large and the building is huge. There were about 10 ants on the beds. The area under the beds and on the floor needs improvement as it is not well cleaned. The fridge is not very cold.

Here's a polished version of your review: "I recently had the misfortune of staying at this hotel, which fell woefully short of its 5-star rating. Not only were the rooms subpar, but the service was also inadequate. Despite repeatedly reporting a cold ventilation issue, the staff insisted it was centrally controlled and couldn't be adjusted. However, housekeeping consistently left the air conditioning on, despite my explicit requests to turn it off when the room was unoccupied. During my three consecutive bookings, I was dismayed by the condition of the basement room I was moved to during my final days. It was dusty, unclean, and had a musty odor. To make matters worse, the shower drainage was clogged on my last day, causing water to accumulate in the bathroom. The aging toilet was malodorous and added to the unpleasantness. Unfortunately, my stay was further marred by catching a cold that persisted for a week, likely due to the suboptimal conditions. While some staff members were friendly, others were not, and the assurances made were not fulfilled. Overall, my experience was highly unsatisfactory, and I would not recommend this hotel.

Very good hotel, the hotel staff are very helpful. I stayed there 2 days then my phone was broken (screen) and everyone from the hotel tried to help me. I am so appreciated it! I would like to say big THANKS to Kevin from the beach club bar. He saved fixed my phone, saved my vacation and my good mood 🥹 he is very positive , friendly and very professional guy. One of our favorite places to stay in Bali! The food is great, pools are great, rooms are great! The most impressive thing about this place tho, is the staff. Everyone was so helpful and friendly. Two staff members that really stood out to us were Cristina and Even. Cristina was the hostess for our traditional balinese dinner, and she was so good at her job and so pleasant to be around. Even is basically a concierge, and he helped us with everything we needed and even brought us roses one day. Even helped us arrange massages, transportation wherever we needed to go, food and activity recommendations, and so much more. We love Sakala!

My wife and I have returned for our second visit to this beautiful resort. We love the huge size of the suites and the room service food is high quality. The buffet breakfast is the best we have had in any resort in Bali over many years - very big selection! The Sakala Beach club over the road is amazing with a beautiful outlook over the ocean. The staff here are amazing and love how they remember us by name. They are extremely professional and helpful at all times. We will definitely be back again for another stay.

Just finished a week’s holiday here and found the resort and its staff to be amazing. Older resort but still in very good condition. It is massive so a fair bit of walking involved to get around. Very nice beach in front of the report. The all inclusive package was great, only the order in room service was out of the package but everything else included. Heaps of activities to do, would definitely recommend.

We had the pleasure of staying here on an all inclusive package with Luxury Escapes and it was top notch. Ok, the hotel is a little dated however it is decorated beautifully with the Balinese culture. The staff are fantastic. Friendly and genuinely can’t do enough for you. The Indian restaurant was one of the best I’ve been to and we discovered the chef was from India. The pool side bar was our regular spot. Again the guys were so friendly and we had food and drinks on tap! 5 stars for everyone working at this beautiful place. We’ll be back as soon as we can 🥰

Although it is an older hotel and maybe it needs some updates, Ayodya Resort is a paradise first of all because of the staff starting from the reception, concierge, kitchen, restaurant and the bar on the beach. I think that the hotel management managed to find the recipe for a very good team. At the same time, the lagoon is wonderful, being a living ecosystem, the beach is wonderful even at low tide and the location of the hotel is very good. Last but not least, I want to mention the wonderful architecture of the hotel.

We visited Ayodya Resort as part of an all inclusive package through Luxury Escapes. I love this idea as we didn't have to worry about spending any more on food and drinks when we were there. The resort is superb and immaculately maintained. The food options are excellent and we enjoyed the drinks on offer, without going overboard and drinking too much. The staff at the resort are incredibly friendly, helpful and so well groomed. I've never experienced such outstanding service in nearly 50 years of travel. Well done Ayodya and Luxury Escapes!

Huge Balinese style resort. On the beach. Beautiful gardens. Friendly staff will accommodate you. Entrance is huge and relaxing for a read. Kids love the pools. Older resort but in great condition. Wildlife to look at - squirrels, frogs and bats. No complaints. 20mins from airport. Not expensive by comparison.

We stayed at this hotel for 4 days. The first thing that stands out is the large territory of the hotel. It has the feel of a typical resort in Turkey, where guests can enjoy a full vacation without needing to leave the premises. A major highlight is the spa, which offers a wide range of facilities including tennis, squash, and a tranquil pool away from the noisier main pool. However, the prices for the spa services are quite high. Regarding the room, they were relatively new, clean, and beautiful. It was a pleasure to stay there. The hotel provided towels, bathrobes, and slippers, all of the highest quality. Additionally, I must commend the staff for their quick responses to all our requests. Whether it was for a bottle opener or extra bottles of water, they were always happy to assist. One downside was the large number of guests during our stay at the end of July. For example, the pool area was always crowded. Overall, I had a pleasant stay and would recommend the hotel. !

I had a great and memorable experience staying a Nusa Dua Beach Hotel. The hotel offers clean breathtaking beach views and excellent service. Other guests are very respectful. The location is great, as it is just a 10-minute walk from “Bali Collection” plaza with restaurants, shops, and mini-market. The rooms are clean, spacious, and comfortable, with fast housekeeping. The hotel offers two complimentary bottles of water, but you can request additional bottles if needed. There are many well-maintained facilities, such as the gym, table tennis, tennis and swimming pool area that adds to the charm. The complimentary breakfast buffet is a highlight, offering delicious options from Indian, Western, Japanese, and Indonesian cuisines. However, the egg station line can get disorganized as it merges with other buffet lines, causing confusion amongst the cook and the other guests. It might help if the egg station were separated from the other buffet selections. On the beach, local sellers offer unique decor, kites, and even water sport activities. Overall, I had an excellent experience and a memorable vacation staying at Nusa Dua Beach Hotel

Really good hotel. We didn't do all inclusive and walked to Bali connection for food or a taxi to the local town. Both 100rp in taxi. Service at the hotel good, beach really good with a lot of beds, pool area is alright but you have to be early for a bed, after 8am you have no chance. The staff do take towels off from people who go early to reserve but there's that many they give up. Food is good for breakfast. Not much entertainment at night but it's a good hotel.

Overall very happy. Having stayed in another spa resort recently, we had high standards to compare to. The rooms here are dated in comparison...Still very nice, but can't give this a 5 when comparing. The service was very good, but it was fantastic at the previous resort, with staff recognising each member of the family, proactively asking if they could.help us, checking how things went if they had helped with anything, etc. Here is was much more reactive. If you approached someone, or were lingering, you would be asked if you needed help. Again, just not the same level of service overall.

We have enjoyed our wonderful stay at the Sofitel Hotel. We had a room with pool access which I highly recommend. The hotel is clean and well appointed as you would expect from a Sofitel but what makes this Hotel so different is the staff. They are so cheerful and helpful they make the stay so pleasant. We were in room 2003 and the young lad who cleaned our room did a superb job. In the Milestone Club we were looked after by the fabulous team there and in particular Cindy whose service was above expectations. All staff made us feel valued. I highly recommend this Hotel, we will be definitely be back.

The setting was perfect—a beautifully arranged picnic right on the beach, offering stunning views and a serene atmosphere. The food was exceptional, with a variety of delicious options that catered to every palate, and the service was top-notch, with attentive staff ensuring everything was just right. The picnic is available daily through reservation, making it easy to plan this unique experience. With only one table available for up to six guests, it felt exclusive and intimate, perfect for a special gathering with friends or family. I highly recommend it for anyone looking to enjoy a luxurious yet relaxed day by the sea.

I spent one night in Sofitel Nusa Dua for my Bali holiday. I have to say it’s the best hotel I have stayed. Great location, wonderful service, lovely staff. I want to express my thank you to all the staff who are so friendly and welcoming. Especially, to Febri. The moment I arrived the hotel, she made me feel so welcomed. Feels like I’m back home :) Her genuine smiles and professional service made this stay so memorable! As someone who also works in hotel industry, I am impressed by the excellent service Sofitel Nusa Dua provided. I absolutely loved everything here: the room, the view, the facilities, the food, and most importantly the STAFF!! I can’t wait to come back again!

We found the resort beautiful. Very high standards are taken throughout. The Breakfast Buffet is the best I've ever been to. It has absolutely everything you can think of and as fresh as ever. We had dinner at both restaurant's, and they were both beautiful. The only criticism I could give was that the air conditioner gave a musky smell which Ide say was more from the humidity in the air but once you opened the sliding door and let some fresh air in, it tended to keep it better. The staff were all very friendly and went above and beyond to accommodate us. Highly recommend this resort.

The room and the service is great. They also have large selections at the breakfast. One issue to raise is that if you're sharing room with family members, the shower room and bedroom is only separated by a see through glass, they have blinds on the bedroom side but it doesn't go fully down. This makes the person taking shower uncomfortable as they do not have full control of their privacy because the blinds are on the bedroom side and it doesn't go fully down, exposing the legs of the person taking the shower. The bathroom also does not have a lock. It seems they made the rooms only for couples. The water pressure from the shower is just average. The resort is luxurious but the bathroom part needs some work.

My husband and I came here as our first hotel on our honeymoon. We did the all inclusive and it was nice to not limit ourselves because they also offer non all inclusive. We stayed in a regular room, which was good with us because we didn’t spend much time in the room. The rooms definitely need to be updated, as they are doing renovations from my understanding soon, so that’s good they acknowledge that! I am gluten free and they had a lot of food options if you asked! They have gluten free bread, pasta and pizza! Also the coffee shop on site has gluten free pastries which was included in the all inclusive. Everyone there was great and very friendly. We also enjoyed the spa the day after we got there after our long flight and it was wonderful. The resort is pretty kid focused but the kids never bothered us. We were only there for a few nights which we thought was more than enough and wish the breakfast varied a little more day to day, but the juices at breakfast were always top notch & it was nice to have an egg station. They do not mark allergens on the buffet, which would have been a huge help to me, but I just ate what I knew I could. Overall, it was great for relaxing as a first stop on our honeymoon but I don’t think we would have wanted to stay there longer than 4 nights!

This is far from a 5 star experience. It began with the front desk dismissing our reason for being there. We booked to celebrate my 50th birthday. Because we weren’t there the exact day it didn’t matter! So disappointing, especially as they went out of their way for other guests such as wishing them happy anniversary by writing it on the sand in the hallways. Such a little thing would have gone a long way. There is also a dearth of vegetarian options at all the property restaurants. Forget about being vegan. The staff were nice but the service was incredibly slow. It was just a really disappointing experience and I will never return.

We wish we had read the reviews before booking. Despite notifying the hotel about our vegetarian dietary needs, breakfast was the same every day. We had to keep asking different chefs for something different, but nothing changed. The hotel claims to have multiple pools, but we were restricted to one. Good luck finding a beach bed if you’re not up by 9 am. We expected the warm Balinese hospitality we’ve experienced elsewhere, but it was missing here. Overall, very dissatisfied and felt it was a waste of money.

This is more like a 4 star hotel rather than 5. The room requires some serious updates, we booked the loguna family room, and one of my children had to sleep on the mattress on the floor ( I wouldn't expect that from 5 Star Hotel)! Pool area not massively big, all sunbeds taken straight after breakfast (we had to use grass area nearby). Dinners in restaurants need to be booked way in advance, but the places outside of the hotel are much better, to be honest (unfortunately, we discovered that quite late). We won't stay in Malia for sure next time we are in Bali, not worth what we paid for it!

6 nights in August. Lovely hotel, lovely gardens and facilities. Rooms in the main hotel (not the Garden Villas) are in need of a refresh to match the quality of the rest. Food good. I heard that the hotel is about to close for a year to do updates so they may be fixing the rooms up to the same high standards as the rest.
