Really enjoyed my weekend stay at the hotel. It’s a beautiful property and was a relaxing quiet holiday as we wanted it to be. The food was extremely tasteful and the staff was also very helpful and attentive. The pool with the bar area is a great way to spend the day time. It’s not the most modern hotel but that was expected when we booked it. Also it’s not far from Colombo so easy to get to. It truly was a lovely weekend and it gives a cosy vibe. Always will recommend if you want an easy get away with a welcoming feel. The Spa facility was great, we pre booked it and was a good experience. Only down side is there is no direct beach access due to the location.

I enjoyed my stay at Tangerine Hotel. The property is lovely, the staff were friendly, and the food had good flavour. That said, the breakfast and buffet offerings would benefit from more variety, especially for plant-based travellers. The juices were basic and lacked freshness, and simple additions like peanut butter and soy milk weren’t available. Overall, plant-based awareness in Sri Lanka is still developing, and this hotel is no exception, though it’s worth noting that there are many delicious vegetarian curries. With a bit more focus on vegan/plant-based needs, Tangerine Hotel could offer a much more inclusive and elevated dining experience.

A Relaxing and Satisfying Day-Out Stay Our day-out stay was overall very satisfactory. The rooms were clean and well-equipped with all the necessary amenities. We booked the couple package for around LKR 28,000, which included a welcome drink, a delicious lunch buffet, and evening tea with cake. The location was beautiful and peaceful, offering a truly relaxing experience with a friendly staff. We thoroughly enjoyed our time and hope to return again for a full-night stay soon.

We stayed here for 5 nights. Check in was efficient with a nice welcome drink. We had an unexpected upgrade to a junior suite which is on two levels and sleeps three. The grounds and pool and very well maintained, along with all the other communal areas. They're are enough sunbeds for all, and pool towels are on request and a swim up bar The rooms are large, clean and comfortable with all the amenities as described, including kettle, tea, coffee, shampoo, body lotion and soap. There are plenty of shops and restaurants, supermarkets within 5 minutes walk of the hotel. It's great to support other business whilst here. We visited Richmond Castle and temples whilst here too. We didn't do any river trips due to the cyclone. Breakfast was outstanding. Thankyou! There is was no beach when we visited... maybe due to adverse weather. But, the hotel has a nice protected stretch of sand for children to play. There is also a little children's play area, a kids pool. We also enjoyed the giant chess and complimentary afternoon tea. We would definitely visit here again.

We’ve stayed at many hotels across Sri Lanka, and Tangerine Beach Hotel is by far the best, and the only one we will be returning to again. The staff are incredibly accomodating and helpful, the rooms are clean and fresh, and the pool is spacious. The Ayurvedic Spa leaves you feeling like a freshly kneaded pile of dough (in the best way possible). The biggest highlight by far has to be the restaurant. The options are diverse and varied each day. The food is perfectly cooked and served at ideal temperatures. The wait staff are quick to clear tables and ensure your glasses are always topped up, no matter how busy the restaurant is. For those with a sweet tooth, the pastries and desserts served alongside lunch and dinner are both visually and gastronomically appealing - truly a 10/10.

Rooms very nicely arranged, comfortable beds, good air conditioning, easy access to the pool. But some areas in the hotel is not properly maintained. The sofas in the front lobby is not dusted or vacuumed. The beach is wonderful, the view from the buffet is gorgeous. The taste of the food was good. I enjoyed everything I tried. However, the spread was a bit thin. For an example, we had only 1 soup option. The desserts spread can improve. But the taste of everything that was available was good. The service can improve in some areas, the staff were friendly and nice. However, when doing an event, better communication is required from the staff end. There was a small issue with the morning snacks but replacements were provided quickly by the staff. Another area of improvement is refilling empty items at the buffet. This took some time. Parking is available for about 10 vehicles.

Stayed at Goldi Sands Hotel for 8 days. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. They refilled and reuse glass bottles for our drinking water in our rooms. The bed was made everyday to perfection. The meals were delicious. Some dishes were a little salty but overall it was still good. Adding on top of that, the staff are friendly and accommodating. We requested for our breakfast to be packed in our own containers to take away for our trip to the city on Sunday, and they obliged even though it wasn't standard procedure. Thank you Mr.Joshua! The location is great. To the left of the hotel upon exiting are tea shops and a tailor that sews beautiful pants. To the right is a convenience store across the road. GSH definitely made my stay in Sri Lanka much more pleasant. Thank you!

I stayed at this hotel expecting a comfortable and pleasant experience, but unfortunately, the facilities and food quality did not match the amount I paid. Although the room was fairly clean, the water pressure was often low and the Wi-Fi connection was weak. The food was average, with limited variety and lacking in taste. The staff were friendly and polite, which was a positive aspect, but overall, the services and amenities provided were not worth the price. In general, it felt more like a basic accommodation rather than a quality hotel experience.

Lovely hotel right on the beach in Negombo. Room clean and comfortable, all usual amenities, kettle, fridge ,safe and TV. Nice balcony overlooking beach. Breakfast has something for everybody. Pool area nicely kept, towels provided. Drinks prices okay. Only problem we found the water pressure for the sink and shower was a bit low on the second floor rooms.

Stayed here for 2 weeks. Fantastic convenient location near to airport but also handy for Colombo & inland excursions. Situated right on beach & plenty of bars & restaurants nearby. Staff exceptionally helpful & friendly. We had a standard sea view room which had a huge patio/balcony. Good buffet food selection at breakfast & dinner. Only slight complaint is they have certain themed cuisine nights at dinner(Italian, European, Chinese etc which we don't go to Sri Lanka for!) although there is still Sri Lankan food available. Highly recommended.

We stayed at the Mermaid Hotel for 18 days and had a truly wonderful time. Our room was very spacious, nicely furnished, and spotlessly clean – thanks to Nihal, our room boy, who did an excellent job every single day. We visited in October, when there were not so many guests, so the buffet was not available every day. On those days, we could choose from the à la carte menu instead, which offered a great selection of delicious dishes, beautifully presented and very generous in portion. Whether buffet or à la carte – the food was always fresh, tasty, and varied, so there was something for everyone. What really stood out to us was the excellent and attentive service throughout the hotel. The whole team was so friendly and caring, and we truly felt welcome from the first to the last day. A big thank-you to everyone who made our stay so special – we enjoyed every single day here and would love to come back!

It was a Warm & very Homely stay. Team headed by Thomas, seemed a great strength as they were always ready to accommodate us, within their capacity to make us feel happy. A special mention of Athula, taking care of the Front Office, who went out of his way to change our initial perception of the place & arrange and get a room cleaned & ready through Nishantha, for us to stay on comfortably. Food was tasty and the salads were so delicious, another plus at the place, Chef Gamage together with Wasantha, at the restaurant took all the trouble to ensure we were well taken care of, even by preparing & offering special dishes. It was so kind of them. Warmly remember Priyadarshani who served us at Breakfast smilingly despite our demands. Another special mention of Thilina at the pool who took care of us and made that experience memorable. Restaurant at the upper floor made it a bit difficult without a lift. As the premises is quite old, we feel overall the standards of the premises need to be uplifted. We were concerned about the cleanliness which should be made aware among the entire staff & place. Live Music and entertainment on Monday night made our stay extra special and we really enjoyed it. Despite premises and cleanliness related few issues, we truly enjoyed our short stay and were well taken care of with the hands on approach by the Senior Staff Members. Stylish Serpents

We had a wonderful 3-day full board stay with 38 families at the hotel. The staff were very friendly, helpful, and always ready to provide their support and service. Room service was excellent, although the bad weather made it a bit challenging to enjoy some outdoor activities. The cafeteria has a nice and spacious arrangement, and the food was very tasty. However, we noticed that the menu lacked variety, as similar dishes were served on all three days. Overall, it was a perfect for everyone. Had such a lovely stay at the Mermaid Hotel & Club! The atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing, with beautiful ocean views and a well-kept beach area. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, always making sure we were comfortable. The food was okay and plenty of choices, but it didn’t quite feel worth the price. Overall, a beautiful place to unwind and enjoy the seaside!

An amazing spot to enjoy a stress-free vacation. The views are gorgeous, especially by the sea, and the atmosphere is so refreshing. The team here is very friendly and welcoming, which makes the stay even more comfortable. Meals are packed with taste and variety, making dining a special part of the experience. A great choice for both couples and families. Highly recommend !
