The location and surroundings of the hotel are beautiful, with a pleasant climate, although the wind often blows stronger than usual. The quality of service is good, and the staff does exemplary work. The rooms are clean and comfortable, although the furnishings are slowly becoming due for replacement; to this end, tasteful renovations are already underway. The food is of excellent quality, and both the kitchen staff and the chefs perform at a high standard. Overall, based on my experience during the two weeks I spent there, I recommend this hotel to anyone planning a vacation in Mauritius.

We enjoyed our holiday immensely at the Awali. The staff were great, the locations, well the pictures say it all.
The signature restaurants are very good and we also used the facilities at their sister hotel next door, thoroughly enjoyed the Beach Club.
We were disappointed with the buffet and only eat in an evening once and made use of the other restaurants. The breakfast was also OK.
I do feel that the hotel could do with upgrading / remodelling as it is dated. The rooms also, very clean but possibly in need with an upgrade as they are tending to look a bit tiered.
Generally though I would say it’s a good 4* hotel with great staff with an outstanding location

Fantastic resort along the South coast of Mauritius. It tooks only 45 minutes from the airport to get there. The sea is awesome as well as the sunset. The staff was professional and always smiling. It is an ideal resort for family, but there are lots of adult-only areas to enjoy the peace of this place. All the restoraunts were extremely good, included the buffet with a great variety of differents type of foods. Activities and escursions can be organized directly there. We'll come back!

Really enjoyed our stay and enjoyed all the activities on offer. Our kids loved the glass bottom boat trip and the included snorkelling trip daily. The sunsets were lovely.
The rooms however are a little tired and the sunloungers require an upgrade.
The big downside I’m afraid was the service. Some exceptional staff but many seemed disinterested and regularly forgot orders.
Still, it didn’t upset us too much. We were not in a rush any day but I could see how some people were not pleased with their forgotten orders and requests.
Thank you for taking care of us with the late checkout. It made our last day a full enjoyable day.

Nicolas was amazing and seemed to be everywhere and making sure all the guest were happy and well looked after.
He definitely went beyond just doing his job.

Stayed for 2 nights, the suites were very comfy and wonderful. The food wasn't equipped for Indian vegetarians though. We were there to celebrate my wife's 41st birthday and So Sofitel team over email confirmed that they would arrange a cake which never came, was sort of disappointing. But their extreme gesture for packing breakfast for us for an early check-out won our hearts 💕

We had a good stay, our room was nice and clean. We really enjoyed the nice beach (good for snorkeling too), the pool, the breakfast and the outdoor shower.
Check-in was great, we felt very welcome.
If you want to explore the island, you will need a car, as the SO Sofitel is far from everything.
The only downside, which has impacted our stay was the late checkout handling. Our flight departed late, so I asked for a late checkout beforehand via email. I was told to ask again during our stay. However, during out stay I was told that they can only tell me if it’s possible on my last day. This is way too late. And then, it was denied. So I had to ask them again, have had a discussion, then we could finally get a late checkout. But, surprisingly, we had to change the room on the day of departure. I found this very stressful, especially as we also paid for the late c/o. This handling needs improvement.
Also, during the room move, one of our suitcases fell off their buggy, resulting in many scratches. Not nice.

This hotel is beyond shocking. I'm currently staying here and my experience is extremely disappointing. Following are the reasons
1. They only give you two coffee capsules free irrespective of the duration of your stay. From 3rd onwards they charge
2. Rooms are extremely run down and unhygienic. Floors are broken and curtains haven't been cleaned for ages.
3. Food choices are extremely limited considering it claims to be a 5 star hotel.
4. Last but not the least, I found used slippers in a brand new packet as opened them.
I would urge everyone to avoid this hotel as it's not worth a penny.

It's a wonderful place on earth, with a unique design concept and park. However, it needs an update to live up to the standards defining luxury today. Many chairs and daybeds at the beach are without cushions, there are no waiters at the beach. The furniture and draperies in the main restaurant are slightly dingy. In the standard rooms there's no armchair, though there's lots of space, the water pressure in the shower is low and the small garden could use some attention and, again, some cushions. The whole resort looks like it's stuck in 10 to 15 years ago, but if Accor invested quite some money it could be amazing again. Not to forget, staff is very friendly and helpful.

Amazing, spacious, luxurious and clean room. Average food for dinner but the breakfast despite being a la carte was very decent.
Service was top notch. Staff were very responsive and well-mannered.

Its the best place if you have kids also , as they have big pool to kids with club that is big and with nice staff.
We were greeted by Jessica , and she is the best person in mauritius , she was very cooperative and helping all the time.
She upgraded our rooms to suite!!!
Upon checkout which is 12 pm , our flight was at 10 pm night , so she gave us the room for late night for free !!!
I would really advice to book shangri-La and i will come again for sure.

We’re so glad we chose to stay at Shangri-La. The staff were incredibly attentive, helpful, and always ready to assist. I unexpectedly developed a food allergy during our stay, and the team made note of it in their system the very next day — such thoughtful and efficient service.
Kushi was our favorite restaurant, with Harry as the head chef — the set menu he specially curated for us was absolutely amazing.
There are plenty of excursion offered by the resort with Catamaran being our favourite as they have a live band on board with food provided. From snorkelling in sky blue waters to chasing dolphin, everything was amazing.
There is a private island as part of Shangri-La that are only accessible by guests which was great and wasn’t overcrowded.
Overall, a 10/10 experience curated by the staffs of Shangri-La Mauritius.

Thankful for Stacy for being such a wonderful host. It is so rare to see such wonderful service from someone. Kudos to her. Thanks to Preeti for coordinating my surprise proposal. Same goes for a wonderful surprise beachfront breakfast and dinner. Great service from the pool service team, esp. Pravesh who attended to our needs at the pool. The location was just perfect! This place is absurd, truly another level of service.
Staff go above and beyond, the hotel is stunning, and there’s nothing that is ever missing.
The place feels empty despite being huge, never over crowded or noisy, just pure bliss.

Only improvement could be having a bit more of a vibe down at coco’s in the evenings, sometimes felt a bit quiet compared to the potential of the beautiful bar

I booked a weekend over at Shangrilla Tousserok to propose to my fiancé on the beach. At the hotel, we were warmly welcomed by the team at the reception. Shout-out to Stacy and the reception team who were amazing at coordinating our stay and always ensuring that we were ok on each day, with a wonderful smile and dose of positivity to make us enjoy the hotel experience. She also arranged for a little present for us on the day I proposed to my fiancé, big thank you to her! Also I would like to mention Mrs. Prithee from the Events Team at the hotel for coordinating the proposal event with me for over a month before our check-in. Everything went as planned thanks to Mrs. Prithee's help. Also we would like to thank Mr. Raj and Mr. Vishant who served and organized the Dinner table in front of the beach and who had many years of service at the hotel.
The hotel also has a Whatsapp Service to facilitate communication with reception, without the need to call or head there physically. This service is very ingenious and help smooth our stay at the hotel, knowing that you could just send a message and things would be taken care of, from the rapid response of the team through Whatsapp.
It is very rare for my fiancé and I to have a stay with no issues at all, this experience is by far our best hotel experience across the whole of Mauritius. We were also gifted with an upgrade to a superior room with a beautiful view over the beach. The hotel is very peaceful, away from all the noise and honestly these are vital ingredients for a relaxful stay. We shall come visit again very soon to relieve this amazing experience.
Thank you to all the hotel staff for making our proposal and hotel experience a memorable one that we shall cherish forever, together with my fiancé! Keep it up!

We stayed here on our trip to Mauritius in June. The resort is beautifully done, bang on the beach. The views are just gorgeous from any part of the resort. There are four in-house restaurants and a great bar. We had put up in the wellness villa which was super spacious and had everything you could need on a holiday. It has a 24*7, quite well equipped gym, a spa ( included in the stay, appointments recommended) and multiple included activities like glass bottom boat, snorkeling etc. What I loved the most was the family pool, it's big, aesthetically done and has a clear view to the beach. There's an adult only pool as well. The service was impeccable and all the staff were very warm and welcoming. It was a lovely experience in all and I would love to go back again

We are currently staying at the Westin Turtle Bay to celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary and, unfortunately, the experience so far has not lived up to our expectations.
While the property is undoubtedly beautiful, the service has been quite underwhelming. The buffet has very limited vegetarian options, and the food served has been just average. At the live counters, although the chefs do prepare what you ask for, it’s often served with visible reluctance or lack of warmth — which affects the overall dining experience.
Room service has also been disappointing. Simple requests like shower gel and bath salts were either dismissed or still not fulfilled. When we asked, we were told to use what’s already provided — not quite what we expected from a resort of this standard.
Another issue we faced is the strict dress code for dinner — closed-toe shoes and trousers for men. This wasn’t mentioned anywhere beforehand, and it left us scrambling. My husband has had to wear trainers under trousers, which feels odd on a beach vacation.
The tipping point was finding a fly inside a dessert jar at the buffet. When we brought it up, the response was casual and dismissive — “It must have flown in and fallen.”m no concern — just brushed off.
We were really looking forward to a special stay, but we’re starting to feel that this wasn't the right choice for such a milestone occasion. We hope the remainder of our stay improves and that the management takes note of these areas for better guest experience.

Beautiful hotel with very friendly staff and overall exceptional service. There was very good nightly entertainment at the main bar as well. All the restaurants were lovely, and I can recommend the Japanese teppanyaki experience. Lovely pools and the snorkelling from the hotel's boat was fun. The only downside is that it is not located directly on a sandy beach if you want to be in the water the whole time, but not much of an issue for us.

- Below par on all accounts for a 5 star property.
- Shocking but clearly they don’t treat Indians well. It is pretty evident in the service. There is definitely racist behavior by the staff and we could feel it evidently on multiple occasions. Our friend visited couple of weeks earlier and even they felt it. Definitely there’s racism there. Unbelievable!
- Food tastes very average at all the restaurants. The menu is very limited. Can have more options for vegetarians. Surprisingly, there wasn’t any Mediterranean cuisine or dish in any of the restaurant.
- Breakfast menu is repeated on consecutive days. Even 3 star hotels have different daily menu.
- Service, both in-room and housekeeping, is damn slow. We had to give multiple reminders as the staff kept forgetting the order. And shockingly they have a separate fees for in room dining orders. Never seen this before. Weird!
- Rooms are spacious but needs maintenance. The tub was leaking water in the bathroom floor.
- Very weird that housekeeping staff directly walk-in immediately after knocking the doors. Never ever seen that before either.
- Seemed understaffed at times.

Please request you to not waste your money on this property as they would really ruin your special occasion, I was put down in room 202 to celebrate my anniversary and its one of the worst rooms on the property to stay in. After writing to them 3 times on email at least a week before our arrival they didn't consider our request and a day before my anniversary I am haggling with them for a better room. I felt all the good room are reserved for the people from western countries and not Indians.

We’ve just returned from an incredible two week stay at LUX* Grand Gaube and it exceeded all our expectations. The service was exceptional and genuinely the best we’ve experienced, even compared to other five star hotels. Every staff member went out of their way to make us feel welcome.
Travelling with our 18 month old, we were so impressed by how child friendly the resort was. Although he couldn’t stay in the kids’ club alone, we visited daily and the team made him feel so included and cared for. Staff all around the resort were so warm and kind to him, which made a big difference to our holiday.
The food was excellent with great variety, and the resort was spotless and beautifully maintained. Our room was always perfectly cleaned with thoughtful touches like towel animals for our little one. We really appreciated how attentive and considerate the staff were without us even needing to ask.
We are already planning our return and highly recommend it, especially for families.

We recently spent a few days at LUX* Grand Gaube and were truly impressed by the outstanding beach service. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel genuinely welcome and cared for.
The beach area is pristine and beautifully maintained, with plenty of comfortable loungers and shaded spots. What really stood out, though, was the attentiveness and kindness of the beach team. Towels were offered promptly, drinks were served with a smile, and we never had to wait long to place an order.
Special thanks to the beach attendants who checked in regularly without ever being intrusive – they struck the perfect balance between attentiveness and relaxation. We felt pampered and completely at ease.

Highly recommend the Beach View/Sunset Suites! The beach itself is fantastic with great activities. We also took a wonderful south tour by the taxi service; our guide was incredibly friendly, flexible, and knowledgeable about Mauritius's history and sights. We had the pleasure of spending a luxurious and unforgettable 3-night family getaway at Anantara Iko Resort & Villas, and it was everything we hoped for—and more.
We arrived around 4 PM and were warmly welcomed by Prashanth, whose hospitality and professionalism set the tone for the rest of our stay. To our delight, we were greeted right at our villa with refreshing welcome drinks and light snacks, a thoughtful gesture that instantly made us feel at home. While Prashanth handled the check-in formalities seamlessly, we began exploring the stunning property nestled along the beautiful Blue Bay coastline.
He took the time to walk us through the key spots across the resort—from the pristine beach and serene pools to the array of restaurants offering different cuisines. Every detail of the property felt carefully curated, and the lush landscaping made our strolls a visual treat.
*What we absolutely loved:*
The villa: Spacious, private, and elegantly designed with its own pool and every amenity we could ask for. It truly felt like a luxurious extension of our home.
The location: A beautifully maintained, tranquil property just 10 minutes from the airport.
The beach experience: Clean, scenic, and peaceful. We especially enjoyed the picturesque beach swing—it became a family favorite for sunset photos.
Exceptional service: Prashanth and Ashley were consistently responsive on the internal WhatsApp group and ensured every need was taken care of quickly and warmly.
Dining: The buffet breakfast and dinner at Horizon had an excellent spread, with consistently delicious food. A special mention to Sea.Fire.Salt for their mouthwatering sushi, pineapple fried rice, and the fish fillet with lemon butter sauce—absolutely divine!
Thoughtful touches: From the convenient buggy rides to the handy umbrellas in the villa, every small detail was designed with guest comfort in mind.
The pools: Calm, scenic, and overlooking the ocean—a perfect spot to unwind.
The staff: Always attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Their commitment to guest satisfaction was evident at every step.
*Room for improvement:*
During peak hours at the Horizon restaurant, it would help if staff were assigned to specific sections to ensure smoother service and more personalized attention. We occasionally experienced short waits, but nothing that took away from the overall experience.
All in all, our stay at Anantara Iko was everything a family holiday should be—peaceful, pampering, and filled with beautiful memories. My children usually start missing home after three nights, but this time was different—they didn’t want to leave! That, to me, speaks volumes.

I am currently staying at this hotel until June 9, and unfortunately, my experience so far has not been very pleasant. The air conditioning in my room is not working properly, making it quite uncomfortable, especially during the warmer parts of the day. Additionally, there have been several power outages throughout the day, which is very inconvenient. Housekeeping service has also been below expectations — the room is not cleaned properly or consistently.
I hope the hotel management can address these issues promptly, as I still have a few days left in my stay. Improving these services would make a big difference.

The staff friendliness felt very limited towards local residents —unless you were a foreigner, at least that was our impression. This affected the overall warmth of the experience. The stay didn’t quite meet 5-star standards: the rooms were not very clean, and some equipment was faulty, suggesting the place is overdue for renovation.
There was a lack of activities, and while the food was okay, the presence of many flies—possibly due to the beach proximity—was a downside. On the positive side, the scenic setting and landscaped surroundings were truly excellent. The gym, sports facilities, and pool areas were good, though the main pool’s filtration system seemed weak.
Despite the shortcomings, the natural beauty and peaceful setting still made the stay enjoyable.

We had the best time. Hotel staff are super friendly and very attentive. Food was great. Few different restaurants to choose from. Saffron was our favourite which was typical Indian cuisine. We stayed 5 nights at this resort. Unfortunately, the comments about cleanliness are true. The rooms are very old. The terrace door barely closes, and the lock didn’t even work, so our room could have been accessed by anyone at any time. It always took extremely long to get anything delivered to our room. We were repeatedly disturbed late at night by housekeeping asking if we needed anything, and even opening the door without us requesting service.
At breakfast on the first day we were interrupted 10 times with questions, and every day it was extremely noisy. If you don’t explicitly ask, they won’t change the bed sheets or restock the vanity kit and other essentials.
It’s true there were many dogs around, which isn’t ideal considering there are children—I myself as an adult felt scared to walk alone. The breakfast food was okay but always the same and not the best quality. At the pool, the cocktails were disappointing: every day they came in different glasses, sizes, and tasted like juice.
The pools were okay, but the drainage system was weak. The gardens and pools were clean, but you can’t really enjoy the beach. Overall, it doesn’t really live up to a luxury or 5-star standard.
Plus: near by the airport, but very noisy.

The hotel is absolutely beautiful – it combines luxury with a relaxed atmosphere, making it the perfect place to unwind and enjoy every moment. The facilities are impeccable, from the white sandy beach to the stunning pool and top-quality restaurants. But what truly made our stay so special was the staff.
We would like to highlight Sawmy and Mahen, who were incredibly helpful. But especially Sanjay from the Mondo restaurant. This hotel is beautiful. Stunning pools, pristine beach and the food! Best hotel I have been to my entire life. Air-conditioned rooms. The staff are so polite and respectful, always greeting us at every turn. I'm definitely coming back!

Overall, the hotel is very good considering the price of the rooms. The rooms are spacious, have great views, and are in excellent condition. The hotel’s beach is also very nice — there are sunbeds available and the service is excellent.
The butler service can feel a bit too intense at times, but that might just be my personal impression. Physically, the hotel isn’t the most beautiful and it does show signs of age, but it’s still in good condition overall.
There are only two restaurants — the buffet and another one by the beach. In my opinion, it would be great to have a couple more dining options, like in other hotels I’ve stayed at on the island. Still, everything else was very good.
Highly recommend the whale watching excursion to Tamarin that the hotel organizes — it was a fantastic experience!

Rooms: (5/5)
Spacious and functional. I loved the bathroom—huge, with a walk-in closet. And the bed was just too comfortable; I still think about it! :P
Room Service: (5/5)
Exceptional room service. You can call them anytime for anything, and they’re there. I especially appreciated the turndown service by our butler, Joselyne—she was amazing.
Beach: (4.5/5)
Perfect for snorkeling, especially around the patch of rocks. The sea is a clear, beautiful blue. The only downside is that, being on the west coast, winter weather tends to be windy, which made it a bit difficult to fully relax by the beach. That said, the beach beds are very comfortable, and water stations are provided, which is a nice touch.
Food: (3/5)
We booked bed and breakfast. The breakfast was delicious, though it did feel repetitive after a few days. It would’ve been better if the property had more restaurant options. The other restaurant available, The Plantation, felt average and overpriced. On top of that, the staff there made it seem like they were doing us a favor by giving us a table—not the kind of service you’d expect.
Spa: (3.5/5)
Although I didn’t personally get a treatment, my family did, and the feedback was mixed. My mum and sister loved their massages, but my dad and husband were disappointed—they were booked for 90-minute massages but only received about 70 minutes. On top of that, my husband’s therapist seemed irritated, which really defeats the purpose of a relaxing experience.
Staff: (2.5/5)
Aside from the room service team—who were outstanding—I was quite disappointed with the overall service. Many of the staff seemed overworked and tired, which reflected in their attitude. They didn’t come across as warm or welcoming, and at times, the way they took orders or served us made it feel like we were dining there for free.
Gym & Sauna/Steam Room: (5/5)
I absolutely loved working out in the gym! It’s well-equipped, and they provide towels and water. The sauna and steam room were excellent too, with clean bathrooms and lockers.
Atmosphere: (4/5)
The property is spacious, beautiful, and gives off a retro vibe. There’s entertainment every night, and on some evenings, they even have Sega dance performances—which was nice.
Overall:
I wouldn’t classify this as a true 5-star resort, but rather a 4-star. The main downsides were the limited variety of food options and some staff—particularly at the spa and restaurant—who seemed unfriendly or indifferent. It’s not pleasant to be greeted by grumpy and unbothered faces when heading to breakfast in the morning.

Unfortunately, our experience at The Residence Mauritius was disappointing. While the property looks beautiful, the service and attitude of the staff fell far below expectations.
Most of the staff seemed untrained and unwelcoming.There was a noticeable shortage of staff, which affected the overall experience. The hotel also did not feel kid-friendly at all. In fact, it often felt like kids were not welcome, which made the stay uncomfortable for families.
The only positive exception was the kids club, where the staff were amazing and truly kind to the children they deserve recognition.
Sadly, we noticed that if you’re white, you’re treated with smiles and extra attention. This kind of behavior should have no place in hospitality.
The swimming pool is very cold and not heated, which made it unusable for children.
If you’re planning a family trip to Mauritius, I highly recommend staying in the Le Morne area instead. It’s absolutely beautiful, and for families with kids, LUX Belle Mare* is a much better choice. They are welcoming, truly kid-friendly, and offer heated pools, excellent service, and warm hospitality.

SHOOQ AL NASR
We stayed in the resort for 3 nights in early June 2025. The resort was luxurious ✨ I absolutely loved the combination of tiles and overall design. Our room was clean and well-maintained. Some parts of the beach were crystal clear😍! I’d give the room and resort facilities a solid 5/5.
However, the service didn’t quite meet our expectations—I’d give it a 3/5. For the following reasons:
1- After a long flight and a long journey from the airport we were welcomed with a cold towel only! No welcome drink or even a water!
2- No one took us on a tour around the resort! And when we asked for a map or something to refer to, the response was “don’t worry the resort is not that big” instead of offering a quick tour especially that we’e arrived way earlier than check in time.
3- We arrived at 11:30am and waited until check-in time at 2:00pm. Which is understandable, however, the room was missing the dine-in/services menus, no beach tote bag, and the welcome set wasn’t that special.
4- The resort daily program was distributed on the same day during breakfast 😕 most of the activities were limited to a certain time slots in the morning! We couldn’t enjoy any water sports or activities as we usually swim in the afternoon or didn’t know the schedule ahead to plan.

First time in Mauritius, and what a wonderful island and incredible resort we were lucky to choose! Staying at the St. Regis was definitely one of the best decisions we made. From day one, we felt completely at home.
The rooms were spacious, clean, and very comfortable. Most of the restaurants were excellent, especially the breakfast buffet, which offered a wide variety of delicious options. The only exception was the Mauritian restaurant, it was average compared to the rest.
The daily activities organized by the hotel were fantastic and gave us the chance to try everything we had hoped for. A special mention to the two amazing employees who didn’t hesitate to help us experience new and fun activities. They were even more excited than we were to take us on complimentary biking, hiking, and fishing trips

This was our first time visiting Mauritius, and if we return in the future, we will definitely choose The St. Regis again.
The hotel’s location in the south of the island is simply incredible—crystal-clear water and close to many of the island’s best activities. The property itself is stunning, with beautiful architecture, well-maintained landscaping, and a wide range of activities to enjoy.
What truly made our stay exceptional, though, was the outstanding service. Every member of the team was courteous, attentive, and eager to help. Special thanks to Kevin, the Head of Concierge, for his support and responsiveness. We also truly appreciated the friendliness and professionalism of Jal and Nathan from the water activities team, and Aroumel who took great care of us by the pool.

Wow what an outstanding stay! We started our vacation at a LUX resort, which was amazing, but the JW Marriott was next level. The staff were great and very friendly, they all couldn’t do enough to make our stay unforgettable. The breakfast was really good, very tasty and many dishes cooked to order. We tried every restaurant on the property and we were impressed with every meal we ate. The room was spacious and very clean/well maintained. We were lucky enough to have a smaller pool situated between our room and the beach which was great for our 4yo daughter. The main pool is huge and relaxing. One night during our stay the resort put on a traditional ceremony with fire and lots of dancing which was very entertaining and our daughter was able to join in the dancing. We made use of the gaming room and cinema a number of times such great spaces with super friendly staff. If we return to Mauritius we will certainly return to JW Marriott. It is such a picturesque part of the island and the beach is just stunning.

Great location with a beautiful beach and surf spot nearby, but overall disappointing experience. Rooms are outdated – at one point, the window blind even fell down – and food quality far below expectations (mostly cold or overcooked). Service was very slow; we often waited up to 45 minutes just for a starter, which is especially difficult with a toddler. The Japanese restaurant, which came with an extra charge despite Full Board, was mediocre at best. On arrival, our stroller was misplaced and we were initially told it had never arrived – it was only found much later. The much-promoted butler service was ineffective; requests were ignored or never followed up. Staff generally seemed reserved or unfriendly. Strict check-out policy with no flexibility, even for families. We wouldn’t return.
One big highlight, however, was the dolphin tour (booked through the hotel but run by an independent team) – absolutely amazing. We swam with dolphins, and the crew did everything to make it special. Super friendly and highly recommended.

I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. We enjoyed every single moment of our stay at Paradise Cove, which completely lives up to its name.
The location, design and decor and nothing less than absolutely stunning. There's plenty choice in terms of places to lounge for the day, with three swimming pools, the beach and plenty of waterfront hangouts around the cove/peninsula. Also, with four different restaurants to choose from there's always something new as far as dining options (and the food is amazing!). With only 70-something rooms it's incredibly peaceful and you never have to fight for space anywhere. Oh and I have to give a mention to the cocktail menu, which was fantastic.
The amount of available activities was also a delight, with tennis, archery, rum tasting, star gazing, peddlos, paddle boards, glass bottom boat etc all a part of the all inclusive package. The staff were also incredibly helpful in organising day trips (even providing a packed lunch) and providing information and contacts for any activities they didn't offer directly (e.g. scuba diving). I can also higky recommend the spa and their full body massage.
Lastly, I just wanted to highlight how amazing the staff at Paradise Cove are. The service was impeccable and they made us feel welcome from the second we arrived and went to great lengths to make sure we enjoyed every second. They genuinely made our stay so perfect and even went above and beyond helping my partner organise a special surprise.
If I could give them higher than 5 stars I would.

A safe, cozy, tidy, and small hotel. All the staff were very friendly, polite, and helpful. The surroundings are beautiful and well-maintained at all times. The food is good, with a wide selection of dinner options.
The hotel offers a variety of additional activities such as rum tastings, cocktail-making, cooking classes, water aerobics, archery, and more. There are plenty of sunbeds in various locations, so it’s always possible to find a spot you like. The hotel has four separate swimming pools within the premises.
Also you can swim either in the inner lagoon or in the sea fro lr the private beach, where access to the water is via ladders only.

Gorgeous room, well-maintained public spaces and manicured gardens, fantastic food and - probably the most important factor - consistently friendly, helpful and hard-working staff.
No matter whether you are dealing with the old hands who have been working there for many years or the newly hired youngsters, everybody always responds with a smile and is eager to help.
We would like to give a special shout-out to Mr Nitesh (currently working at the Japanese restaurant), who is a true hospitality superstar. His friendly and warm personality along with his efficiency and professionalism have made each of our three stays even more enjoyable and memorable.

Incredible hotel, absolutely stunning setting. All staff are so lovely and kind and do everything they can to make your stay perfect. Isea at the front desk was so welcoming and showed us around, and was so kind and helpful when we wanted to book extra you and me moments. Yodeshi and Sanjeet to name but a few were such lovely waiters and made an amazing baileys hot chocolate. The rooms were spotless, primela and the team took very good care of us. Veeren one of the gardeners, did amazing flower displays everyday which were just beautiful. Overall we had an amazing honeymoon, the food was to die for absolutely spectacular for all meals, and there was a very wide selection of drinks available which were brought to you whoever you were on the beach; by the pool etc. Highly reccomend this hotel for all but also especially for honeymooners! This was our second hotel during the whole trip and while having an amazing experience at the previous hotel (Paradise Cove) we were expecting at least the same experience in this hotel. However, we were quite disappointed at the end of the stay with the overall experience in this hotel.
Staff - since it is a 5* hotel you do have a certain set of expectations from the staff in the hotel. You would expect that they would be very helpful, professional and would try to make sure that your stay here is at exceptional level. However we found that most of the staff (expect few that really helped us to solve issues) were really rude and lazy to fix some of the issues. As an example we asked for a late check in and for the last night be booked upgraded room since after initial purchase of the stay we wanted to extend it by 1 night, but they said that there are not standard rooms and we had to buy an upgraded one. So once we arrived I asked about the room and if we could stay at the same room for the remaining of the time and have a late checkout. And the guy that was assigned to help us said "tomorrow I will let you know by 5pm". Long story short, we went there the other day and he said the same thing for 4 days straight. Then we found another person and asked him to help us and he confirmed that we can have a late check in and stay in the same room within 10min. Overall staff is not very friendly they seemed to be overrun with work.
Rooms - the rooms had really seen quite a lot. I think this place needs a renovation since the rooms are not really 5* rooms that we were expecting. There has been few mouldy places, wallpapers were ripped in some places and the smell in the bathroom was quite bad, maybe something to do with bad piping, not sure. We had very small ants all across our room and had to ask for help to remove them few times during the stay. And the cherry on top was that we saw a cockroach in the bathroom and asked to be relocated to another room. The room they gave us was one above our old room, so not much reassurance on the cockroach climbing the vent to our room again since the maid couldn't find it.
Food - it was not that bad, but it was not 5* hotel food. I was expecting a bit more selection and variety. For example Benedict eggs we had in the previous hotel was freshly made from scratch, while here it was pre-made in advance and just warmed in the microwave .... Just those kind of simple details all over the place made the food just not at the standard that you would expect. The deserts were all the same flavour - bland... Quite sad actually.
The only thing that we have enjoyed was the beach which was really nice, but the same beach was at the other 10+ hotels in the area that were cheaper than Lux.
Overall, the quality of the stay just not worth the money that they charge you. I would consider other places in Le Morne if I would be looking for a place to stay.

We stayed on half-board and thoroughly enjoyed every single breakfast and dinner. The cuisine was rich in variety and quality—the hotel buffet stands out as one of the best we’ve ever experienced.
The hotels beach was simply beautiful. Just like a scene from a travel magazine, and even more magical in real life. We also appreciated the wide range of activities, from yoga and themed dinners to a private dolphin trip, which was a truly special experience.

We booked the half board option, and the quality and variety of the breakfast and dinner buffet truly exceeded our expectations. From international cuisine to local Mauritian specialties — all beautifully presented and absolutely delicious.
Another highlight for us was the Kids Club. The staff were fantastic — kind, attentive, and full of energy. Our daughter had the best time participating in the fun, well-organized activities, which gave us a chance to relax knowing she was in great hands.

Fantastic Stay – Exceptional Staff Made Our Holiday
We had a fantastic holiday at Constance Belle Plage! After a long flight, we were warmly welcomed with a refreshing cocktail. There was a bit of confusion with our booking via Expedia during check-in, but this was quickly turned around thanks to Luvesh, who showed incredible professionalism and compassion. He took full ownership of the issue and had everything sorted by the next morning.
Luvesh continued to go above and beyond throughout our stay—he truly made our holiday special. He’s a real asset to the hotel!
We also want to give a shout-out to Niles and Chand at the main and beach bars.Their big smiles and perfectly chilled drinks added a wonderful touch to our beach days.
Overall, the staff made all the difference. Thank you for such a memorable and relaxing experience—we’ll definitely be back!

The staff are very welcoming, the property is huge and is well equipped. Facilities like kids club, baby care club, water activities, kite surfing etc. added bonus points. We left our 5 month old infant at the baby care for 3 days and we were able to enjoy the water activities being stress free and even have breakfast peacefully knowing the baby was being taken care of. The rooms are big and have everything that you need including milk and honey provided to you as a part of the coffee table/ needs. The restaurants give you a variety of cuisines and are all amazing. The pools are huge, the beach is right in front, the river flows through the property and all in all it's a beautiful property to stay at. I already miss being there!

We had the most amazing family holiday at Le Heritage Telfair! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel so welcome—always warm, attentive, and ready to help. The kids club was absolutely brilliant; our children were so well looked after and had a fantastic time every day. The babysitting service was a game-changer, giving us time to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.
The beach is truly breathtaking—crystal-clear water and soft white sand, perfect for both play and relaxation. The variety of restaurants kept every meal exciting, and the food was consistently excellent. Service throughout the resort was incredibly fast and friendly, making everything feel effortless. Highly recommended for families looking for luxury, comfort, and fun!

Heritage is a super nice hotel, with some lovely facilities. We were recommended to choose the Gourmet Bliss package and thought it was super nice to have everything included. In this package you can also go to Heritage Awali which however bears a lot of the hallmarks of an All-Inclusive hotel - here we were immediately poured a large warm glass of white wine, without being asked for either grapes or whether we wanted to see a wine list. It is a completely different experience at Heritage Telafair, where the standard is very high, delicious food and delicious wines.
However, we have been to other luxury places where the service was much better. Here we had to ask to be served many times and poured wine ourselves. On the golf course we took it for granted (again after having been somewhere else) that our irons were cleaned after a round, which we missed twice. Only after the third round where we did it ourselves up in front of the clubhouse, did the staff become aware and do it for us. We had a personal assistant you could write to on Whatsapp - it sounds like a great solution if the assistant is ready - however, we quickly found out that it was easier to go up to the reception as they were extremely helpful and could answer everything. Our recommendation is to drop the personal assistant when it doesn't work as intended.
The hotel and restaurants are super delicious, but the service is a bit lacking, so in relation to the price we would recommend other places on the island where you get more for your money.

We stayed at a hotel in Mauritius with a large, beautiful territory where you can walk freely — something not often found elsewhere. The design is in colonial style, and even the smaller rooms, like ours, were spacious and comfortable, with big windows overlooking the river and garden.
We arrived in the evening and were immediately welcomed by a personal assistant who stayed in touch via WhatsApp — they were helpful and quick to respond. There’s a decent gym and a large pool, but in May the water was too cold, and it was very windy, so no one swam.
Some downsides: breakfast had a small selection; the butter was actually a salty spread, and the only vegetables were cucumbers and tomatoes — it would help to add more fresh or steamed veggies. We also tried the beachfront restaurant for lunch, but the food was just okay; some dishes felt too plain, especially considering the high prices.
Overall, the staff was attentive, and requests were handled quickly. But the kitchen’s schedule was inconvenient — around 4 p.m., only bar snacks and sandwiches were available, no real meals.
In summary, it’s a beautiful hotel with great service, but the food could use improvement.

This is one beautiful resort, a corner of a true tropical paradise. The suites, dining, views and amenities are exceptional, but it's really the people that make the difference. Picturesque setting with mountains all around, the temperature drops in the evenings making it very pleasant. Morning yoga was amazing and we really enjoyed the relaxing spa, masseuses were very well trained.
You can 🤿 snorkel at the hotel beach as there is great amount of coral to spot. Water is really shallow & clear. They have many pools with temperature controlled water.
Our complain is a bit with the food they really need to improve on the food part. Menu is limited and their Indian chef has to improve his cooking.
But Shanti Maurice is definitely value for money.

A very beautiful and stylish resort. The rooms are spacious and well-designed — we especially loved the ground floor suites with direct beach access. Waking up to that ocean view right from the bed was unforgettable!
The spa area is top-notch, the kids club is fun and well-organized, and the food throughout our stay was delicious. The staff were always friendly, attentive, and made us feel truly welcome.
Compared to other 5-star hotels we’ve visited, Shanti Maurice stands out for its perfect balance of quality and price — amazing value for what you get.
Minor downside: the beach isn’t ideal for swimming, with a small designated area and rocks exposed at low tide. But the scenery is still absolutely gorgeous, especially for photos.

Upon arrival we thought that the hotel is ageing a bit, but already after the first day it really grew on us
1. The service is exceptional!
2. The breakfast is one of the best we had so far, exceptional
3. The hotel is placed on a 16 hectare area - huuuge space for max 140 guests = very luxurious
4. The kids club is exceptional. Travelling with our 1y old daughter it was so relaxing to leave her with the extremely kind ladies

We already knew the brand Constance, hence we had no doubt but to book at Prince Maurice for part of our holidays. Of course they exceeded all our expectations and made me wish we stayed more night there.
Our stay was perfect under all aspects, from check in to a surprise upgrade and a little gift for my 10 months old baby in the room. Every single staff member we interacted with was making us feel like we were the only customers there.
Common spaces are very well kept and we had the feeling we were having the hotel all to ourselves, the atmosphere and spaces make you relax completely and you do not notice there are other people around, I haven’t been so relaxed in a long time.
Rooms are beautiful and luxurious, maybe I would upgrade the window blinds as I was woken up everyday by light coming in the room, but this was just the best excuse to start the day earlier and enjoy the hotel
The level of food at Archipel was a surprise as we weren’t expecting it to be so tasty. We had breakfast lunch and dinner and it never disappointed! Another great experience was Dinner at le Barachois, it was a dream, everything was excellent. However, I didn’t particularly enjoyed the Asian restaurant as I found the food quite bland.
I tried a treatment at the Spa and I enjoyed it, they have a lot of options, however they all last minimum 30 minutes. I personally prefer shorter ones, but it was very relaxing.
Lastly, I wanted to say a huge thank you to the kid’s club team who took great care of our baby allowing us to relax and enjoy the beautiful hotel.
Thank you for helping us create new core memories as a family of three, our son has been sleeping with his new dodo doudou ever since he found it in his cot and they are inseparable
If you want to come to the Mauritius and be pampered in a beautiful hotel, then come here. We have been to other luxury hotels in other parts of the island and Constance Prince Maurice was the best one. We will keep on booking with Constance and cannot wait for our next vacation!
