Spa therapist kind & charming. Nice view from the reception area. The hotel itself isn’t so welcoming, sunbeds need to be changed, hopefully once renovated all will be good. Else it is well located !

We enjoyed the comfort and luxury of the resort, enhanced by the warmth and hospitality of the hotel team. As a whole wing of the resort was under renovation, coupled with the low season occupancy, it was a bonus that we sort of had the resort, pool and buffet to ourselves plus a few other guests, with no queues at buffets and plenty of sun lounges to choose from and empty swimming pools. Having said that, we're used to a bit more vibrant atmosphere when holidaying at resorts, so it was also lacking that ambience that we missed. For a change, we still enjoyed the peace and tranquility though! One of the highlights would have to be the stunning sunsets, either from the room balcony, the lobby, the pool or the beach. Absolutely breathtaking!

Hotel is exceptionally clean and rooms are well looked after. Restaurant serves a great range of high quality dishes catering for both non-veg and veg with different buffet themes every night. Restaurant staff and chefs are friendly, welcoming and delightful with special mention to Will and his team for making every night so welcoming. Beach area has good amenities and was well looked after including beds which were a plenty during our stay. Improvements can be made on housekeeping which didn't always deliver the turn down service or adequate towels unless requested. However, I must add all requests were quickly followed up without delay. One of the ladies on beach towel duty looks like she didn't want to be there and never presented with a smile or a willingness to converse but she was an exception to all the other staff we encountered and interacted with. A great selection of nautical activities included free of charge but not very well advertised to guests. The young boys at the nautical centre should be better trained to deliver the important safety instructions when at sea in English as well as in French. All water equipment was well maintained and appeared to be of good quality. Purchasing drinks at the hotel is very expensive and couldn't understand why an additional surcharge was added for drinks purchased at the beach side restaurants or pool bar by staying guests; seems unfair and unjust when you've already paid a premium for staying at the hotel. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the hotel and compliment all the staff for making each day memorable with their tentative and happy nature.

The hotel grounds are beautiful, especially the entrance area and the huge pool, which we really loved. Unfortunately, we were not very satisfied with the friendliness, helpfulness, and competence of the reception staff. We were repeatedly put off and had to return multiple times for answers to our questions. However, the staff in the restaurants and at the diving center were extremely friendly and professional! A special mention goes to Steward, with whom we had a wonderful dolphin, turtle, and snorkeling tour. The rooms are nice, and the breakfast as well as the dinner buffet were very generous, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious – leaving nothing to be desired.

I recently stayed at your hotel during my honeymoon trip and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. I would like to bring the following issues to your attention, as they significantly impacted my stay: 1. **Late Check-In and Room Upgrade Issue**: I arrived at the hotel at 10 am after my flight landed in Mauritius at 7:30 am. Despite being assured of an early check-in and an upgraded room, I was made to wait until 3 pm, and the promised upgraded room was not provided. I was given a standard room instead, which was disappointing after such a long wait. 2. **Poor Room Cleaning and Maintenance**: The housekeeping service was extremely subpar. There were insufficient towels, the bathtub was often dirty, and swimming towels were not changed daily. On some days, the bed sheets were not changed either. For a premium-priced room, this level of service was unacceptable. 3. **Candlelight Dinner Refusal**: As it was my honeymoon, I requested a candlelight dinner in the morning to be arranged for the evening. However, I was informed that this was not available. This was particularly disappointing as I was hoping for a special experience during such an important trip. 4. **Insufficient Amenities**: The room was meant for double occupancy, yet only one umbrella was provided. This was inconvenient and did not meet basic expectations for a double-sharing room. 5. **Lost Item and Poor Follow-Up**: I accidentally left an item in the room after checkout. When my friend called the reception to inquire about it, there was no follow-up or callback from the staff. This lack of responsiveness was frustrating and unprofessional. Overall, my experience at your hotel did not meet the standards I expected, especially for a honeymoon trip. I would appreciate it if you could provide a resolution or compensation for the inconveniences I faced. Please let me know how you plan to address these issues. The staff were wonderful, super friendly, always welcoming, and went out of their way to help with anything. We travelled with our 7-month-old baby, and they were lovely with him. Every morning they greeted him by name, played with him at breakfast, and always brought over a highchair for our table. Always accomodating and warm. On our last day, while waiting for a late flight, they gave us late checkout for convenience with our baby. The staff alone made the stay an amazing experience, added with the location and facilities, made a near on perfect vacation.

From when we arrived the staff were fantastic. Food tastes beautiful but lots of Curry which got repetitive after a while. Pools are not heated but soon felt warm when you've been in for a while. Spa facilities are great as I had a massage and facial. Had a birthday cake left in my room for my birthday which was a lovely surprise. The beach was great to watch the stunning Mauritian sunsets. Definitely would come back again. Please note the picture and video of the room was taken on check out. Room was clean when we arrived and minibar included on the all inclusive.

Lovely place to stay, most staff were lovely, a couple of staff let it down (didn't smile). Complex was lovely, food was good, cleaning staff were amazing. Gardens were colourful. Room was a little dated and the bathroom needed some tlc. You must have lunch at the burger bar. Overall 8 out 10. 👌 Thank you for having us.

The resort is located on the edge of a small village.The beach is quite long, but you can only enter the sea for about 20 meters, everything else is volcanic rocks.The sand is strewn with very sharp corals and is not comfortable for walking. The water is clear and warm.During the time we were there, there was only entertainment on two evenings, the rest of the evenings were karaoke, which I didn't like at all.The food and service left a lot to be desired, there wasn't enough variety.

Breakfast is the same everyday with not much choice and the same food are used repeatedly. Receptionists aren’t friendly. Rooms are not cleaned well. Cups and cutlery inside rooms are only rinsed inside the rooms bathroom sink. Surfaces are not wiped during your stay here in the rooms. The porch outside the rooms are not swept at all. We had to ask for new water everyday and towels in the bathrooms as they did not put fresh ones in everyday. Service are not great. Waited 3 hours for new towels in the room. Bartender did not want to help us. He was busy chatting to his friends while we waited for him to place our order for drinks and only for him to tell us that he doesn’t know what that drink is on their menu, the first time we ordered this drink was at their bar from their menu for 2 weeks and all of a sudden he did not know what is was. He had a bad attitude. Dinner was good and the view is great.

We had a wonderful stay at the Sands Suites Resort & Spa in Mauritius. The rooms are spacious, spotlessly clean, and offer a stunning view of the ocean – truly a highlight! The bathroom is excellent as well: modern, well-maintained, and fully equipped with everything you might need. Breakfast is the same every day, but it leaves nothing to be desired – a wide selection, high quality, and a great start to the day. In the evenings, the hotel hosts weekly changing themed dinners with delicious food and plenty of variety. There’s truly something for everyone. The entire resort is beautifully maintained, with great attention to detail, creating a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. We also really enjoyed the spa – professional service, a calm setting, and a wide range of treatments. The beach is very quiet and perfect for relaxing. We recommend wearing water shoes when going into the sea, as there are some rocks and corals. We would definitely come back and can highly recommend this hotel!

Fantastic hotel to stay, the hotel offers a nice pool area with bar and food available, you can relax or walk in the beach, the sunshine is amazing. The people in this resort are fantastic, and they are all the time making your stay special. It is a quiet place with modern and spacious rooms with games available near the bar and music at night. I really recommend the restaurant in front of the beach that you should book as soon as you arrive in the resort. They offer two tennis court and a spa area with a jacuzzi and sauna that you should book as well. The gym is small.

Out of the 3 hotels we stayed during our trip in Mauritius, the Sands was the best one ! Located at the end of the Main Street of Flic en Flac, you’ll stay in one of the best hotel in this area. You’re warmly welcomed and the staff is very nice. We had a pleasant stay, the pool is warm the beach safe. We choose halfboard and the food was great. Despite the restaurant staff should be less intrusive, I know it’s 5star hotel etiquette but please no need to fill my glass of water or remove my plate every minute.Let me finish first. However if you want to eat outside, there is basically no option around the hotel. You’ll need to take taxi because the hotel is far from the town (at least 30min walk on a narrow road)

We recently spent three unforgettable weeks at Sands Suites Resort & Spa in Mauritius this July, and I can't praise it enough! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome with their warm smiles and genuine hospitality. The entrance offers a real wow-factor. The resort itself is stunning, with breathtaking views of the ocean and beautifully maintained grounds. Our suite was spacious, impeccably clean, and offered a perfect blend of luxury and comfort. We particularly liked the private balcony, where we could relax and enjoy the ocean view and the different kinds of birds. The paths to the light-coloured coral sandy beach are conveniently short, and we always found a lounger or cabana available. The towel service was excellent. The beautiful lagoon, protected by stone “walls,” features crystal-clear water teeming with crabs, sea urchins, and a variety of fish. The coral reefs protect the coast, providing a safe swimming experience. The beautiful infinity pool is heated. The dining experiences were exceptional, with a variety of delicious dishes that catered to all tastes. The breakfast buffet was a particular highlight, offering a wide range of fresh and flavourful options – my favourite were crepes. What truly set this resort apart, however, was the staff. Every team member we encountered went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. They were always ready to assist with a smile, offering helpful tips and making sure we felt at home. The spa services were a delightful treat – I enjoyed a great full body massage, and the facilities include a steam room, a sauna, and a whirlpool, which need to be reserved in advance. For more spontaneous decisions, Sands Suites Resort & Spa works in combination with the sister Hotel Maradiva, where you don’t need a spa reservation and can enjoy a steam room, a sauna, and a pool anytime during the day. Overall, our stay at Sands Suites Resort & Spa was nothing short of magical. I highly recommend this resort to anyone seeking a relaxing and luxurious getaway in Mauritius.

Hilton Mauritius Resort & Spa I recently stayed at [Hilton Mauritius], and overall, it was a wonderful experience. The room was spacious, spotless, and tastefully decorated. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and I appreciated the attention to detail—plenty of towels, a stocked minibar, and even complimentary bottled water each day. The housekeeping staff did an excellent job keeping everything tidy throughout my stay. The swimming pool was one of the highlights of the hotel. It was clean, well-maintained, and surrounded by comfortable loungers and umbrellas. I especially enjoyed taking a dip in the evening when the area was beautifully lit and more peaceful. As for the service, most of the waiters at the on-site restaurant were very friendly and attentive with a very special thanks for AMINAT. . A few stood out for their exceptional hospitality—always smiling, making great menu suggestions, and ensuring we had everything we needed without being intrusive in particular Mr Al Waleed Alenezi and Rahma Alamry . The receptionist who checked us in was professional and welcoming, making the process smooth and stress-free. She took the time to explain the hotel amenities and offered helpful suggestions for local attractions. I also appreciated her patience when we had questions later during our stay. All in all, offers a great balance of comfort, service, and relaxation. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a pleasant hotel experience.

Was this a rest? Yes, in the end. It was lovely to have been here, but it’s also nice to be heading home now. The views, the rooms, the entire facility — all wonderful. The friendliness of the staff could use some improvement. The breakfast signage could also be clearer, especially regarding whether items are vegetarian or not. There was a lot of fried food. The beach was very beautiful. The staff was okay — everything was fine, but nothing outstanding. There wasn’t anything that I would say was really bad, but also nothing that truly stood out in comparison to other hotels.

The staff are incredibly attentive and friendly, always making sure that nothing is missing and making you feel special at all times. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with numerous thoughtful touches that made the start of our stay magical. We were even invited to a dinner at one of the hotel’s bars, where every detail had been perfectly arranged. The food was delicious, and the service from the staff was simply outstanding. We overall enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The location is one of the best in Mauritius — a beautiful wide sandy beach, clear lagoon, plenty of palm trees, and lush greenery. The hotel grounds are vast and never feel crowded, which adds to the relaxed atmosphere. Being on the west coast, the sunsets are absolutely stunning. The staff is generally friendly, although at times a bit too eager — we were often asked to order drinks or had our plates cleared before finishing our meals. We stayed in a garden villa. While it is somewhat maintained, it clearly needs renovation. The window frames are at least 20 years old, and both the bed and mattress felt very worn and unstable. Overall, the villa and some parts of the hotel feel outdated. The beach could be better maintained — we noticed quite a few cigarette butts and debris, which was disappointing. We visited in the off-season (July 2025), and the pricing was reasonable. However, based on our experience, I wouldn't consider it good value at high-season rates. Another point worth mentioning is the hotel’s limited adaptation to climate change. While they promote their sustainability efforts, these seem to be limited to reusable water bottles and a few water fountains. There are no visible solar panels or other meaningful eco-friendly initiatives. Additionally, the swimming pools are not heated, making them unusable during the cooler months of July and August.

This is by far the most amazing resort I have ever stayed in. Beautiful boat houses to stay in. Free water activities like paddle boards, pedal boats, life jackets, sail boats and wind surfers. So many amenities for all ages. Beautiful pools ...and the beach is a lagoon and just gorgeous to swim in. The buffets were incredible ..with so much variety and themed dinner nights. Incredible breakfasts. The staff are the most happy and helpful lovely people. Just a 10 minute walk to local shops and supermarket. Cannot fault this incredible place. We would like to briefly describe our impressions of the Hotel La Pirogue. We are currently in our second week of vacation in Mauritius. We have been at the Hotel La Pirogue for 5 days. It is a wonderful hotel, in the middle of a huge palm grove, a stunning garden area and a beautiful long sandy beach. Most importantly there are wonderful and warm-hearted people who anticipate every of our wishes. From housekeeping to the service staff, the chefs and the management and GM (Mr. Clency Romeo), everyone is absolutely dedicated and very guest-oriented. In our opinion, the prices are perfectly reasonable. Additionally we really love the food at the different restaurants. We especially appreciate the freshness, the quality and the variety of dishes. We have already been to many countries on different continents and will definitely be back at the La Pirogue. We had the most amazing time at Sugar Beach. From start to finish, everything was spot on. Our room was beautiful,clean, spacious, and really comfortable, with a lovely view. It had everything we needed and felt like a proper treat to come back to after a day in the sun. The grounds are absolutely stunning. Everything is so well kept, from the gardens to the beach and pools. You can tell a lot of care goes into the place, it really adds to the relaxing atmosphere. The food was another highlight. So much variety, and everything we tried was delicious. Whether it was breakfast, dinner, or just snacks by the beach, it was all really good quality and fresh. The staff were so polite, friendly and kind, special shout out to Anuradha how helped us with a few requests. Honestly, we couldn’t have asked for a better holiday. Loved every minute, and we’re already talking about going back. A truly special place

Just back from 5 nights at this gorgeous hotel. The location was perfect and the hotel felt very luxurious. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and the manager made himself available each day and took the time to interact with the guests. We were celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary and were made to feel very special. The food and cocktails were fabulous and the all inclusive option was well worth the money. It is a mixed opinion to start with. As a property, it is very nice. Rooms are spacious, well appointed and pools are heated. Kids club is great, views are good, beach is lovely and location is great. Also, we booked 3 villas and they were kind enough to upgrade one of our villas. Service is certainly below the expectations for a five star resort rated of 9.4 on booking. Food: quality of food is average, but the service in the main restaurant on the breakfast is hilarious. The whole breakfast is an a la cart menu even if you need a slice of cucumber you need to order it and wait for 10-15 minutes to get it, even there is no cold corner for chests, fruit slices or bread. We are a family of 7, during our stay we never had our breakfast served together and it is normal that part of the order for the same person to come at different times or even after you finish, thanks to Gavin who was the best team member. Stray animals, you should expect to see cats and dogs. My daughter and my minor son were stranded in their villa next the pool when a stray dog sneaked in. For about 20-30 minutes there was no help from our butler or the security guards to kick him out until one of the concierge team was passing by and he helped us. When, I raised a complaint to the hotel manager himself, his answer lacked sympathy (which is the only thing a guest would require in this case) he did not even ask if my kids are safe, he simply said “ I am sorry we never had this issue before and I will look at it”. Next day we found another dog on the beach. !!!! In conclusion, the property is amazing but the service is below average. The hotel seems to me good for couples or small families but for larger groups you should expect service hiccups.

A true gem with an outstanding service We – a family of three – stayed for 8 nights at Maradiva and would have loved to stay longer. It was the ideal place to wind down, relax, and re-energize—marked by a calm atmosphere and truly outstanding service. Our Luxury Suite Pool Villa was perfect. The outdoor seating area and private pool created the ideal setting for peaceful days at the villa, with the outdoor shower adding a wonderfully tropical touch. The beach featured generously spaced sunbeds, preserving a feeling of privacy and exclusivity. The stunning view of the lagoon and Le Morne completed the scene, making it a perfect place to spend the day. Special thanks to the friendly and attentive beach bar team—they added so much to our experience. When it comes to dining, the resort offers excellent options. The main restaurant, Cassine, served a delicious à la carte menu with a recommended three-course format (which was upgraded to four during our stay—an added treat). There’s a dedicated children’s menu available in all restaurants, offering great variety and quality. The specialty restaurants—Haiku (Japanese), Cilantro (Indian), and Beach House Grill—each offered curated three-course menus that were a real culinary treat. Our favourite was Cilantro, with its outstanding Indian cuisine and live music. What truly made the experience exceptional was the incredible service. From Vickram, our butler, who helped organize a day trip and tended to every query, to Aniket and the entire Cassine team, and the Beach Bar crew—Olivier, Veen, Zidane, Nigel, and Yusuf—everyone made us feel welcome and pampered. A special thanks to Veen, who even arranged a touching surprise for our son. We loved every moment of our stay and are already looking forward to returning.

Its superb hotel..the food 👌 but the staff specially a big thanks to Mr.Hans the in charge he did everything to compliment the week n.he even offered a cake for our wedding anniversary everything was taken into consideration to please us. We got a mini hammam sauna in the package though the.promotion was over..he took care of us like his own. When we see such warm welcome we feel humanity is still present

I wish I had something positive to say about this place. Three of us visited the buffet breakfast last Sunday, which cost Rs. 750 per person. The buffet was supposed to run until 10 a.m., but we arrived at 8:40 am. and found that they had already run out of food. When we asked for refills, we were told that certain items were completely unavailable. The scrambled eggs, which were part of the package, were cold, so we ordered three omelets. Unfortunately, none of the ingredients we requested were included. We specifically asked for no cheese. The omelet came with cheese. To make matters worse, the white beans were just floating in a bowl of red sauce, and the orange juice was nonexistent. For Rs. 750, I didn’t expect a lavish breakfast, but I certainly expected food that was edible. We are extremely disappointed and will not be recommending this place to anyone.

A Memorable Holiday at this Aesthetic Hotel My kids and I spent 10 unforgettable days at the Aanari Hotel with a beach view and it was, without a doubt, the most memorable holiday we've ever had. The hotel's perfect location, combined with exceptional customer service from every staff member — from the cleaning team to reception and the restaurant staff — made our stay truly special. Themed dinners added a unique charm to our experience, with Christmas Eve being particularly heartwarming. Even though we were far from South Africa, we felt so much love and warmth, making it all the more worthwhile. I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to Kaveer, who ensured my room was immaculate every day and that I had everything I needed. Mandal, your attentiveness during breakfast and dinner did not go unnoticed — thank you for always taking care of us. And Nish, your dedication to going above and beyond for all guests was truly inspiring. Staying for an extended period allowed me to witness the tremendous effort you and your fantastic team put into organizing the dinner events and creating memorable experiences for your guests. The live band and nostalgic music were the perfect touches that made leaving the island so difficult. Thank you for a truly magical holiday. We can’t wait to return!

First the good: When spoken to, the hotel at least seemed to be trying to find a solution to something. It was also positive that I was allowed to change rooms twice at my own request (due to noise). That's the only reason there are two rating stars instead of one star. Now what needs to be improved: The most serious point I found was the dinner, which was usually served cold, which was really a big disappointment. It was completely unnecessary and inconsiderate to serve the guests the cold buffet. Some of the dishes were elaborately prepared and you actually wanted to look forward to them. But most of the food was cold even at the beginning of the buffet time, which I personally asked different employees (of different ranks) about on different days. Under no circumstances can the hotel claim that it was unaware of the problem. I don't just think that the food being left out cold is an outrage, I also see it as an attempt to persuade guests to pay extra for a meal a la menu. When I was complaining, I was offered the option of making a plate full and then having it warmed up in the kitchen; what I got myself into. The initially cold food was at least lukewarm; but never hot. It really spoiled my appetite, which is why at some point I only ate cold starters there and then went out to eat straight away. None of the employees spoken to there (more than six people over time) even made an attempt to get the buffet warm and keep it warm, even though I made it clear that this was a general problem, not just consisted of a single evening. Given the cold food, it is all the more astonishing that drinks are charged very high prices; for example, 7 euros for a 0.5 liter beer. I therefore definitely do not recommend that anyone interested in traveling book half board, but rather breakfast. But the breakfast was also very disappointing, as you can see in the pictures. The exact same, very limited selection was served consistently for over two weeks. 1 type of sausage, 1 type of cheese, butter. Some of the sausage was so rancid that I wouldn't even have given it to the street dogs to eat. I was forced to shop at the supermarket and bring a bag of my own things with me to the hotel breakfast so that I could at least eat normally and have a bit more variety. In the bathrooms (I saw three different ones) there is always mold-like discoloration somewhere in the tiles. Unfortunately, the rooms weren't always swept and cleaned well, so that on some days I had black feet from walking barefoot in my room. Overall, the stay at Aanari Hotel could be much nicer if the staff put more effort into providing hot food at the evening buffet, breakfast selection and room cleanliness.

We went for a weekend before new year’s and this was the most horrible stay we had in a hotel. We booked 3 rooms for 6 persons but upon arrival, they told us that they did not have our 3rd room and that we should fit 4 persons in a family room. The bathroom was very small for 4 persons. They brought one extra mattress to the room (no extra bed). The other person was literally sleeping on the floor. We paid rooms worth 17k+ for this trip and this is how we got welcomed at the hotel. When we arrived, it was after only 2 hours that they gave us some refreshments, that also, we are the ones who asked. Just to say that, this is the worst welcome ever and very bad management. They did not even want to process our refund from marideal on top of that and did not even make an effort to give us our money worth compensation. Very bad overall! No good sense of empathy from anyone at this hotel.
