I had the pleasure of having lunch at the hotel on the occasion of my fiancé's birthday. I must say it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The food was absolutely delicious, every dish was thoughtfully prepared, beautifully presented, and bursting with flavor. The staff were incredibly professional, attentive, and friendly, always going the extra mile to ensure we felt welcome and well taken care of.
Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy gourmet food with outstanding hospitality!

The staff are fantastic !
We were welcomed with cold towels and refreshing drinks on arrival, which was great! ZUU at reception made an easy check-in process while other staff gave tour of the hotel .
Every day, we had our room cleaned by Ms. ASHA . Great job done by her.! At the bar, MITHUN and YASH were always there to make exotic drinks, and also they recommended lots of drinks to try 😊
Hotel also gives complimentary snorkeling equipment , kayak boats and equipment , life jackets, a glass boat tour, and many more...
During the stay, MANOJ also made sure our stay was comfortable and relaxed.
Overall, it was a wonderful 5-star hotel experience! I would come back again. Thanks, Veranda, for making beautiful memories 👌 cheers!

Worst hotel. We told waiter twice no alcohol still gave my PREGNANT wife alcohol which he kept stating no it isn’t when I told him to smell it was. and the managers was no help at all (was scared to order anymore drinks and didn’t know what will happen to the baby) and it’s funny how managers said we won’t fill your fridge with alcohol anymore and next morning they filled with alcohol, ant infestation in the room they was everywhere, complained 3 times they couldn’t move us to different room as my wife did not feel safe, food was atrocious same stuff everyday and food was reused, I will also add a picture of raw fish they gave us, great way to spend my 1 year anniversary👍 if you do stay here take off the sheets and have a look at the mattress ain’t been changed in years.

The reception at Veranda Beach Hotel, which we chose for our 25th wedding anniversary between April 16-21, was very good. Our room was very good and clean. From the moment we reported the problem we had on the second day, the hotel manager, kitchen chefs, waiters, bar staff, reception and all the employees made an extraordinary effort for the rest of the time. Thank you. They did their best to make us happy and to ensure that we left the hotel with good memories. We would like to thank all the authorities and staff again for making us forget the negativities and ensuring that we left here with good memories, smiling and happy. Overall experience; satisfied. Was surprised that the standard rooms do not have an iron and iron table, as all hotels i went till now had one. But, thanks to Mr Kewal who was a great help and provide us with both for 1 hour.
Only positive review regarding staff who are very amical and warm. They are always here to serve and ask if everything is going smooth, even if they had to run east to west as like many hotels, there is a lack of staff. But, hats-off, they do the job with a nice smile and lot of willingness.
A little negative point is that the buffet was quite repetitive and lacks of variety.
I'm sure that they can improve 😊

We booked as a family of six ( grandparents included) and we could not have asked for more. Beautifully located and beachfront, wonderful facilities and amazing and helpful staff all made our stay wonderful and memorable. Cleanliness was amazing and our rooms were beautifully cleaned each day. The food at all times was wonderful and we loved having afternoon tea on the beachfront with different Mauritian snacks also served each day. We wouldn’t hesitate to come back and our children loved Aqua Land. Thank you to all the staff there really are too many to name. Also the taxi drivers that the hotel use were so helpful, informative and downright nice people. Thank you so very much for a lovely experience. My only (small) suggestion for improvement is the WiFi access which was resolved only when we raised it.

We really loved our stay at the Crystal Beach Resort in Belle Mare! Went with the kids - and the accomodation, the kids club and activites at the beach were a blast - and on top of that, the swimminig pool with all those slides.
The staff is really friendly, especially Deepak - who seemingly manages every restaurant location at the same time with bravour - made an impact. And so did the cook - best fish we ever had ;)!
When facing an issue, you can really see that everyone is helping out and giving their best to make your stay as memorable as possible - and they sure did.
Also, the care & dedication given by the employees of the kids club was amazing. Our kids were so happy to play and participate in the activites offered. So big shoutout to Jia, Anastacia and Grace!
The general food was good - could be a bit more diverse and have more of a local touch, but overall we really liked our breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Ferils Mad World
We stayed at Radisson Crystal Beach in Mau for five days, and overall, it was a wonderful and relaxing experience. The property has a peaceful vibe, and the direct beach access truly makes it special—it’s the perfect place to unwind by the sea.
The rooms were comfortable, but they did feel a bit dated. The furniture and decor seemed a little old-fashioned and could benefit from a refresh to match the rest of the property’s appeal. We also had an issue with the bathtub—while the tub bath was enjoyable, it caused water to leak onto the floor, which made things a bit messy. Some routine maintenance is definitely needed in that area.
One of the highlights for us was the hot pool—it was clean, well-maintained, and a great way to relax after a day of exploring. It added a lovely touch to our stay.
When it comes to food, the buffet had a good variety overall. Since we were on a half-board plan, we had dinner at the hotel most nights. I did find the vegetarian options a bit limited, especially after returning from a long excursion. Thankfully, there were always fresh salads, bread, and cheese available, which helped.
All things considered, this is a great place if you’re looking for a calm and scenic getaway. With a few improvements—particularly in room upgrades and vegetarian food options—it has the potential to be even better.

With an association to Radisson Blu, one will expect high quality and exceptional service. This was a total disappointment for the amount spent. The effort, standard and service was below the norm in Africa and our past experience in Mauritius. Rooms very dirty (walls have stains/dirty marks), electrical points are not all functional, phone makes strange random noises, fridge has a faulty door, shower towel rail missing, drainage very bad, cupboard door hinge broken and room not cleaned properly upon arrival. We booked a garden room but they moved us to a junior suite. We appreciate the junior sweet for extra space but the condition of the room is quite disappointing. The layout makes no sense. If one is showering, everyone else has to stay in one corner due to open plan and no division. Only some items are available on their menu- out of stock. Information availability is lacking. Beautiful resort just needs human care and intervention. Reservations for various restaurants very limited and they are closed on most days. We are happy to take more lost time from our holiday to share our experience thus far in person. We want to give you our honest opinion so future patrons do not experience the same. We want this business to grow for the staff to have a future here

We went to Solana for our Honeymoon 2 weeks ago. what a lovely room and view! We were however very unhappy with their drinks. The cocktails are premixed and just poured into a plain small glass. No garnish. It’s dull and nealy damped out our whole honeymoon. I would suggest you take more time to make your guests feel like they are in paradise. It fealt more like a hostel. The Buffet everyday is mostly the same, although they give each night’s buffet another theme name. The starters and mains were good, but the dessert was not great at all. The little puddings are really tasteless, we however enjoyed the icecream. Please can you look into making the experience feel more dreamy than just feeling like, oh well they paid for all inclusive so what’s the point in making each drink look like they actually want to drink it. Location is Super! Quiet resort with kind and helpful staff in general. Rooms are nice, cozy and all front beach. The beach has lots of corals and bring appropriate footwear unless you have thick skin. On the half-inclusive buffet meals, food variety and quality is ok. Just don't like that water is charged and fruit availability is basically null for dinner. No other complains. For a romantic time it's an amazing place. I was with friends and we still had a good time there. Recommended.

The most important, and only question I should answer is, "would I come back?". The answer, "in a heartbeat".
This has been a fantastic and much needed break. The views picture perfect, the food delicious and plentiful. We chose a bed and breakfast package, but ate in Pomelo restaurant some nights and also experienced the headlining "Solana Shining" beach extravaganza meal, including prawns larger than some lobsters that i have had! Other nights we had a snack from room service or ate at the excellent Symonds next door.
The treatments at the spa are on par with any 5 star English spa and again an exceptional welcome. The air conditioned fitness suite allowed for a comfortable work out.
At no time did we feel that it was crowded or overerly busy. Staff speak a multitude of languages with fluency and are always ready to help.
Are the rooms tired, yes, a little, but a refresh is apparently planned in the near future. And did it spoil the holiday at all ? No, not in the slightest. Are the rooms comfortable, yes! The hotel information tells you that all rooms have an ocean view, they do, it's stunning...what it doesn't tell you is that when you open the door to go out, your vista is a tropical garden, equally stunning.
We loved every second, from the welcome from reception team, through the inventive towel decorations daily from Veena, our cleaner, the food and welcome from the restaurant team, including Melani, Aarti and so many others who made us feel special everyday. The wonderful Usha in the spa, to all of you, thank you so much

Stayed for a 2 week trip and had a lovely time. Staff were very friendly, lots of activities are provided (including water sports) and perfectly situated right on the beach with the reef full of different fish.
Rooms have been given 4* as although they have modern air-conditioning, the wooden flooring in places is warped, especially outside the shower and the toilet. We were in a prestige room and the outdoor seating was uncomfortable.
I have downgraded service as apart from our first day, there was no drinks service poolside, and you had to order at the bar, although they would offer to bring the drinks out after ordering, but this seemed a wasted journey for their staff as you would already be at the bar to take the drinks. I also found it difficult to order additional drinks at dinner.
I am vegetarian, and mostly there was a good selection of food for me, but some nights it was very limited, such as the Indian night, but there was always something. Signage could definitely be improved, such as labelling for different requirements, or a brief note of key ingredients. The food overall was mostly very good, packed with flavour and not spicy hot!
The stray dogs around the area all seemed well fed and none were aggressive towards people.
Overall, I would definitely want to return.

Our stay at Sunrise Attitude was nothing short of magical, and a big part of that was thanks to the exceptional hospitality we received from the staff – especially Mrs. Reena Pultoo. From the moment we checked in, she went above and beyond to make us feel truly special. We were upgraded to a stunning swim-up room, and she surprised us with champagne and a beautifully presented birthday cake for my husband during dinner. To top it off, she arranged traditional Mauritian starters in addition to the delicious buffet and even gifted us a complimentary lunch. Her kindness and attention to detail made our stay unforgettable.
A special thank you as well to Neelam, the lovely girl at the restaurant, who was always polite, warm, and attentive. She made our dinners even more enjoyable with her caring service and the personalized drinks she offered us with a smile.
Every single member of the staff we encountered was kind, welcoming, and went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and at home. The hotel’s serene ambiance, thoughtful service, and genuine hospitality made this a perfect escape.

Very nice hotel built in harmony with nature, far from a traditional hotel complex. The flourishing is amazing. We had a swim-up room which was nice and big. Excellent service and smiling staff! We had full board and the food is great too and new courses every day so you’ll never get tired of it.
The hotel offers many activities for free, very much appreciated, such as glassbottom boat tours, snorkelling tours, as well as coached pt activities, rhumtasting and so on…
Simply a happy place and a highly recommended hotel!

I recently stayed at Sunrise Attitude hotel and had an absolutely wonderful experience. The overall atmosphere of the hotel was fantastic, peaceful, beautifully maintained, and truly inviting. The staff were exceptionally helpful, always smiling, and a real pleasure to interact with, making the stay even more memorable.
The hotel also offered a wide range of activities that added great value to the experience, such as Thai Chi sessions, meditation classes accompanied by relaxing music, and many more thoughtfully organized activities that encouraged relaxation and mindfulness.
The food was good, with a decent variety of options, though there is some room for further refinement to match the outstanding quality of the rest of the services.
Overall, the hotel is a perfect destination for anyone seeking a rejuvenating getaway, with a wonderful team and a great balance between relaxation and recreation. Highly recommended!

Check-in was smooth and efficient, and I was even offered a complimentary drink while waiting—a small but thoughtful gesture that set the tone for the rest of my stay.
The room was spotless, beautifully decorated, and offered stunning views. One of the highlights was the hotel’s restaurant. I had breakfast there every morning, and it was consistently delicious, with a wide variety of fresh options. The service was attentive without being intrusive. Special mention to Anastazia and Celine at the Tides restaurant they were amazing.

Morna and Adrienne (our wedding co-ordinaters) made the entire experience magical. Morna was extremely helpful: holding video calls with us on the lead up to our departure, ensuring that we knew exactly what to expect, as well as always being reachable via messaging for any other questions we had.
Once we arrived, we had an extremely informative meeting with Adrienne who ran through the wedding day schedule, took us on a tour of the key locations and answered any further questions. The big day was everything we hoped for - a beach wedding which was completely stress free! I cannot recommend and compliment highly enough the photographer, cake, flowers and bridal hair and make up - it was all perfect.
Long Beach Hotel itself is an idyllic wedding/honeymoon destination and all staff work tirelessly to ensure that you have the best stay. Our room (145) was lovely and spacious with a fantastic private garden terrace. Our cleaner did a superb job every day, he is one of the best members of house keeping staff I've ever come across. The restaurant staff are extremely friendly and there is an excellent variety of foods to suit all tastes - the a la carte restaurant, Chopsticks, was our particular favourite. The beachfront location really is paradise and we loved the free activities provided at the beach hut (glass bottom boat, snorkelling, pedalo, paddle boarding and kayaking). The spa is also a must visit, we had two incredible massages.
I am so glad that we chose Long Beach for our wedding and honeymoon and just wish that we could do it all again!

Had a very pleasant experience with the hotel’s day-pass. The place is well-maintained, and the cleanliness of common areas really stood out. It’s a comfortable spot to unwind or catch up.
The staff were polite and professional.
The food was very good. However, the food options could use more variety to cater to different tastes. Overall, a great spot for a short, relaxing stay—just hoping for more diverse dining choices next time.

What an incredible experience! We chose this hotel for our team-building retreat, and it turned out to be the best decision we could’ve made. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and supported. Their friendly attitude and attention to detail really set the tone for an amazing team building.
The hotel had the perfect blend of comfort and functionality and plenty of spots to relax and connect as a team. The outdoor areas were ideal for our group activities, and the hotel even helped coordinate some of the logistics, which made our planning so much easier.
We especially loved the food—delicious, fresh, and plenty of variety to keep everyone happy after long days of workshops and games, the cozy restaurant area were a hit.
Every team member left feeling refreshed, motivated, and more connected than ever. We’re already talking about coming back. Highly recommend this place for any group looking to mix productivity with fun!

Words cannot describe the amazing hospitality and beauty of this resort. The location and architecture of this place is amazingly beautiful and what make this resort stand out are the people. The staff were so hospitable and caring.
We were celebrating our honeymoon and they decorated our room to celebrate the occasion and provided us with beautiful amenities.
From the moment we got out of the car to the time we left, everyone made us feel special.

My family and I stayed here for 5 days for brothers wedding. The villa had essentially everything you could need likely. The kitchen staff were all extremely helpful and the scrambled eggs were delicious! We had a buggy that picked us up and transported us anywhere on the One & Only properly. Anytime we wanted to leave the property the villa staff arranged either a taxis or shuttle bus for our family. Unfortunately last night my sister-in-law realized that money had been taken from her personal belongings. She informed the staff who seemed to take the complaint seriously.

Disappointing Experience at One&Only Saint Géran – Not Worth the Hype
We stayed at One&Only Saint Géran from 27th to 29th March and, frankly, the experience was far from what one would expect from a so-called luxury resort. While the property itself is undeniably beautiful, the service quality and attention to guest needs were utterly substandard.
To begin with, the resort is not kid-friendly. Despite repeatedly informing the staff that we were traveling with an infant, there was absolutely no preparedness or willingness to accommodate basic baby food requirements. We requested khichdi and oats porridge for our child — simple requests — but both were ignored. Only after persistent follow-up, and far too late, did they offer plain milk and oats as compensation. Due to this gross negligence, our baby remained hungry for the entire 6-hour return flight.
Furthermore, vegetarian food options were shockingly limited for a resort of this stature. As eggitarians, we had asked for omelette bagels during checkout for our travel — instead, they packed ham bagels without informing us. This lack of attention to dietary preferences is unacceptable and displays a clear lack of training and professionalism.
In summary, while the aesthetics of the property might attract you, don’t be fooled. The service is poor, staff coordination is abysmal, and if you’re vegetarian or traveling with children, you’re likely to be severely disappointed. For the price point, this level of carelessness is inexcusable.

Overall, the hotel is very good considering the price of the rooms. The rooms are spacious, have great views, and are in excellent condition. The hotel’s beach is also very nice — there are sunbeds available and the service is excellent.
The butler service can feel a bit too intense at times, but that might just be my personal impression. Physically, the hotel isn’t the most beautiful and it does show signs of age, but it’s still in good condition overall.
There are only two restaurants — the buffet and another one by the beach. In my opinion, it would be great to have a couple more dining options, like in other hotels I’ve stayed at on the island. Still, everything else was very good.
Highly recommend the whale watching excursion to Tamarin that the hotel organizes — it was a fantastic experience!

Unfortunately, our experience at The Residence Mauritius was disappointing. While the property looks beautiful, the service and attitude of the staff fell far below expectations.
Most of the staff seemed untrained and unwelcoming.There was a noticeable shortage of staff, which affected the overall experience. The hotel also did not feel kid-friendly at all. In fact, it often felt like kids were not welcome, which made the stay uncomfortable for families.
The only positive exception was the kids club, where the staff were amazing and truly kind to the children they deserve recognition.
Sadly, we noticed that if you’re white, you’re treated with smiles and extra attention. This kind of behavior should have no place in hospitality.
The swimming pool is very cold and not heated, which made it unusable for children.
If you’re planning a family trip to Mauritius, I highly recommend staying in the Le Morne area instead. It’s absolutely beautiful, and for families with kids, LUX Belle Mare* is a much better choice. They are welcoming, truly kid-friendly, and offer heated pools, excellent service, and warm hospitality.

This hotel is beautiful. Stunning pools, pristine beach and the food! Best hotel I have been to my entire life. Air-conditioned rooms. The staff are so polite and respectful, always greeting us at every turn. I'm definitely coming back!

Our stay on 24 May 2025 was really pleasant. We stayed at the hotel with a baby and family members. The service was super good, friendly, helpful and caring staff. They exceeded pur expectation. Many thanks to our butler as well. The room was comfortable and clean with nice sea and pool view

Even the chefs were friendly and encouraged us to try more food. The food very yummy and there was a large variety unlike many other hotels. Their quality as well was much better compared to other hotels. Grilled seafood was included in the buffet

Staff friendly and will go above to please. Hotel /rooms/ yard very well looked after including the beach.
Only let down is the entertainment which is below average for a 5 star hotel.
Plus side is the food - buffet style was above expectation with various cuisine different days. Stephane and his team do very well with communicating and assisting the clients. Special mention to Sanjay who apart from cooking some delicious dishes does very well accommodating and spending time with the clients.
Overall very good experience and would recommend this hotel

LUX Belle Mare* is a very, very kid-friendly hotel one of the best for families traveling with children. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the staff are both professional and incredibly friendly.
The kids club is fantastic, with a wide range of fun activities that keep the little ones entertained and happy. The swimming pool is heated, which makes it perfect for all ages, and the beach is beautiful — clean, calm, and great for families.
We also really enjoyed the lunch options, with good-quality food and a nice variety.
Overall, this is a beautiful resort, and if you’re traveling with children, it’s a perfect place to stay. Highly recommended for a relaxing, family-friendly vacation.

We spent two wonderful weeks as a family in this breathtaking retreat on the east coast, set along an expansive, shallow beach, perfect for small children.
From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth and professionalism. Scott greeted us with genuine hospitality and personally guided us through the resort, ensuring we felt at home right from the start. Throughout our stay, he remained an invaluable resource, always ready to assist.
The resort’s amenities are outstanding. The pool is beautifully designed with various depths and zones, making it perfect for children while still offering relaxation for adults. The culinary offerings are nothing short of extraordinary—each restaurant delivers excellent quality, and the Michelin-starred Indian restaurant is an absolute highlight.
Service here is on another level. The team makes every moment feel effortless and indulgent. Sanjay, Rohan, Mimi, and Jenny at Mondo consistently provided top-tier service with warmth and professionalism. Pooja crafted incredible dishes with finesse, delighting us with fresh, made-to-order specialties. A special thanks to Suren, who was incredibly helpful in answering all our questions about the villas, and to our wonderful maid, Deepa, whose meticulous care ensured our stay was flawless.

The last time I was in Mauritius was about 11 years ago! This holiday was split into two halves over the ten days. The first half was spent visiting family and the attractions of Mauritius, and the second half was spent by the pool and beach!
We stayed in the junior room for the first five nights, and our experience was great but once we moved into the ocean vue villa our experience felt even more amazing! Added bonus was, we had a private pool and we had a dedicated area on the beach with sun loungers that we did not need to claim early on in the morning!
The butlers were great and went above and beyond our needs! Ketan and Mahen were very approachable and professional in how the looked after us during our stay. Canapes and sweet treats every evening.
The cuisine was amazing even though my 6 year old chose pasta every day! Thanks to Chef Pascal and his team!
The gym was well equipped and Patrick was very helpful.
And the staff across the site were all really friendly and welcoming.
Where I did speak the local language, the staff were pleased to hear me speaking fluently and encouraging my kids to respond in creole too!
Would I go again, yes without a doubt, and recommend anyone else looking for a family friendly hotel. This holiday experience helped tick all my boxes, for what I wanted from my Mauritian holiday experience.

We stayed at LUX Belle Mare three weeks ago and really enjoyed our stay. The room was a good size and very clean, the room was cleaned every day around 2pm. The breakfast has a huge selection and very well organised. There are a number of other places to eat and we tried every one, we were not disappointed. The staff at the kids club were amazing and our 4yo loved every moment there with lots of activities. Overall very impressed with the resort, staff were all very friendly and approachable. We would certainly return to a LUX resort.
