We visited Reethi Beach for couple of days including Xmas holiday. Overall we had a delightful holiday and our expectations were fully met by what this beautiful island offered to us. We chosen Sunset Deluxe Beach villas, which are basic inside and furniture is quite obsolete, I think with some replacements and small improvements (e.g coffee machine with capsules, better toiletries, wifi in the rooms, juices in fridge) the experience would have been much better. But, on the other hand, the villas are nicely located on the beach, with individual chairs and umbrella hidden in the green lush palm trees facing the sea. You can easily access the reefs from everywhere when high tide and when low tide through 2 coridors marked with a life ring. The reef is truly beautiful, full of colorful fishes of all sizes plus the special ones: sharks, rays, turtles. We chosen standard all inclusive, which ensures breakfast, lunch and dinner in the Main Restaurant plus a good selection of drinks, coffees and alcoholic beverages in any bar on the island. For our needs was more than enough. We really appreciate the services offered by all the staffs in Main restaurant and in all bars - friendly and supportive all the time. As mentioned, we celebrated Xmas eve on the island and the staff went above and beyond to secure a festive atmosphere throughout the island and as well a great dinner buffet with many live cooking stations and lots of sweets. Overall our stay has been amazing thanks to all the staff, the natural beauty of the island and the abundant with sea life. We will definitely recommend to our friends home!

Good choice for a first-time visit to the Maldives. Service staff, location and food were excellent. Can be hard to communicate with the diveshop sometimes with limited wifi, but we thoroughly enjoyed the free excursions we took up.

We visited Reethi Beach Resort in December 2023 for our honeymoon. We stayed for a total of 9 nights in the water villas. Weather during our stay was half of clear and full sun, half cloudy with breeze and rain tended to come overnight and clear during the day. Rooms are in the traditional style, they are very spacious with large bathroom and deck for sun lounging and direct access to the sea. Access to the water villas is spectacular and the view from the room is a complete panorama of the horizon across the water and the islands nearby. Beds are big and comfortable. You have the options of both air conditioning or a ceiling fan to keep cool. We were very thankful for the ceiling fan as we are not very keen on AC (anyway, this is available in the room for those who like it). Rooms are serviced every day and kept clean with environmentally friendly procedures. We went for the standard all inclusive option, which provides for breakfast lunch, afternoon snack and dinner from the Main Restaurant and a good selection of drinks and alcoholic beverages from any of the bars on the island. We would recommend this option as it provided an abundant choice of food and drinks - in fact, the main restaurant change their menu every day - especially at dinner, they do themed cuisines with a wide variety of choices and fresh produce (often from their own garden on the island). The team at the main restaurant made sure that we had always a great experience and everything we could ask was provided for. A special thanks goes to Majid, Amjad, Rubel - these are the people we especially remember but there were many more who gave us excellent service. We had good chats with Ixoo and Madushan in the bars and all the staff in the bars were friendly and forthcoming. In the all-inclusive option, we were also provided with two free trips every week (one being a sunset cruise, the other being a trip to two local islands nearby to see the local lifestyle). There was also a trial scuba diving introduction included. As we were away on honeymoon, they provided a nice welcome display in our room with fresh fruit. We also got a romantic dinner for free at the Saima Garden (which is the high-end cuisine restaurant on the island, candlelit, on the beach, with an arrangement of flowers on the table). We also got to try the Moodhu Bar and Restaurant on our arrival day, as we got a free late-lunch due to our arrival time in the mid-afternoon. The location of the Moodhu Bar is also stunning with a wooden deck walkway into the sea. The food at both the Saima Garden and the Moodhu Bar was amazing quality. Out of the extra activities (there are plenty provided), we decided to go for:-Turtle Snorkneling in Donphan (very good experience, however if you are lucky you can get to see turtles from the reef on the island); - Night Snorkeling with the Dive centre team (incredible experience, you get to swim with reef sharks and sting rays); -the Maldivian Cooking Class with chef Nittu, where you get to make and sample delicious traditional cuisine. Nittu was very engaging, knowledgeable and friendly; - Beach BBQ from the Reethi Grill, it is a very special dinner on the beach with incredibly fresh seafood (sushi, sashimi, many grilled local fishes etc.); - massage at the Coconut Spa, where the team is very friendly and provide you with an extremely relaxing experience which can also be tailored to couples. Overall our stay has been amazing thanks to all the staff and the natural beauty of the island, abundant with sea life. The reef is exceptional with so many creatures very nearby. We were very grateful that Internet access was provided only in certain spots, so that we got to fully relax and leave the outside world behind. Many activities are provided for at Reethi Beach as well as a relaxing ambience. There is something for everyone! We will definitely be back and recommend to everyone!

My husband and I decided to come to Reethi Beach Resort for our honeymoon. Would we stay here again? Yes 100%! Is this the most luxurious resort? No, but you get what you pay for. We didn’t expect luxurious as we attempted to come to the Maldives on a lower budget. If you want luxurious, I would suggest looking elsewhere. We stayed in a Sunset Beach Villa which was perfect for us. It also happens to be where the prime snorkeling location is. Right outside on our doorstep. We saw Turtles, Stingrays, Sharks and a huge variety of fish. The reef is in a wonderful condition and feels very safe to swim and snorkel. We bought along our own snorkeling equipment but I believe you can hire this on the Island. The air conditioning in the room was perfect. The room was quite dated but again, we weren’t expecting anything fancy. We had all the necessities and were more than happy with that. We had done our research prior to booking with Reethi and was aware there is no wifi in the rooms so we easily planned ahead and purchased a SIM at Malé airport. I’ve seen a few people give Reethi a bad review based on this which I think is unfair. Do your research and it won’t be a problem. There is also free wifi available at some locations on the Island. We opted out of the all inclusive as we found it was quite pricey so we had breakfast at the main buffet (included in our booking) then because we were so full we would skip lunch and then for dinner we would go to Moodhu restaurant which was so relaxing over the water and had a wide variety of food choices. There are also other restaurants on the island to choose from. The Sunset bar is great and has an extensive list of non alcoholic and alcoholic beverages which are reasonably priced in my opinion. The buffet breakfasts were very tasty and there is something for everyone there. All fresh and the chefs even cook your eggs in front of you. The staff were even kind enough to offer us a complimentary 5 course private dinner at Saima Garden as we were on our honeymoon. We didn’t expect this and it was so thoughtful. The food was incredible. I recommend booking a private dinner even if you’re not on your honeymoon. As for the staff, I absolutely cannot fault them. They have been nothing but welcoming and attentive. They are such lovely people that genuinely do all they can to ensure you have a great stay. Thank you Reethi staff for making our honeymoon so special! We will definitely recommend you to others. Tips: Buy a SIM! Bring insect repellent

My wife and I had a truly lovely time at Reethi Beach Resort. The island is small and compact, featuring shaded paths that kept us cool under the sun. Surprisingly, we encountered very few mosquitoes on this island, thanks to the expertise of local specialists. We stayed in a sunrise villa for two nights and then moved to a water villa for one night. The Sunrise Villa offered a comfortable stay with its charming wooden interior and an exceptionally cozy and private outdoor bathroom. While the sunrise side of the beach isn't able to snorkel, we spent a lot of time relaxing by the ocean, getting our feet wet, and seeing the amazing Maldivian sunrise (did you know the moon is vertical near the equator?). The water villa was comfortable and pleasant, we spent our evening and morning seeing the many creatures below us and enjoying the incredible view from the balcony, truly dreamy. The food was delicious, and we felt well-fed on the Full board plan, the few drinks we had were tasty too, I was fond of the Reethi Smoothie. On the full board plan, we enjoyed a diverse selection of food at the buffet. We indulged in fresh bread, local favorites, and even a special meal. For those seeking an extra kick, it was highly recommended to sample the Maldivian pepper, known for its fiery spice that adds a bold twist to any dish. While we weren't enjoying freely snorkeling the house reef by the beach, we enjoyed the excursions and spa at Reethi beach. We spent one morning in a boat surrounded by over 100 spinner dolphins, so many jumped in the air we even got photos of them. While snorkeling in a nearby reef, we saw so many beautiful fish along with sea turtles and a few sharks, with a clean snorkeling mask it was like swimming in a documentary. Indulging in the Coconut Spa was an absolute pleasure for us. The spa offered a remarkable sunburn treatment that left us feeling completely revitalized. Their massages were incredibly fulfilling and were enhanced by the soothing ambiance of crashing waves and a warm cup of tea. After spending hours swimming, there was nothing quite as rejuvenating as getting a massage here. The resort has a lot of special items too, I ordered a private dinner for my wife and I and we enjoyed a seaside meal cooked right near me surrounded by lights in a heart shape in the sand. Truly a wonderful time.

The staff is incredibly friendly, informative and helpful. The rooms are very comfortable and the views from the beach villas are great. All facilities are great. Even the gym is very complete. There is plenty of variety of food and everything is delicious with plenty of options for all dietary requirements.

We stayed here for 4 nights in the garden facing rooms. The good things first. This resort is located in a small island in Baa Atoll and is very well kept and beautiful. Full points to the gardener and the staff who maintain the green space in the island. The food in the main restaurant (buffet meals) was very good and lot of variety. They keep the non-adventurous western guests in mind for the food and give them lot of choices so they feel at home :) The staff on ground is super friendly; although I cannot say the same for management. The management is mostly there to make money and is very inflexible to any requests you have that is not in their rule book. The island is very scenic, lots of instagram opportunities. The waters around has very good snorkelling opportunities - sea life is plentiful and you can spot a lot of exotic creatures. The area is full of baby black tip reef sharks. I would recommend only going here all inclusive as your budget would take a beating for every little thing you would like to do there. Food and drink prices are astronomical and every little bit of "extra" service that you ask for costs a lot of "extra" money. The day trips are expensive. I would recommend to go stay 4-5 days in a guest house in a local island nearby and do your day trips from there at 1/3 the price. Once you are in the island you are stuck with their products and their prices - you have no other option. Their airport transfer service is also very expensive - it is not very fair to charge customer with a huge markup. Arrange your own transfer if you can.

Nice Resort but be aware of special excursions. If you are booking a private timeout on the nearby sandbank be aware that this agreement just fits for Transport. There can be other visitors from your or other islands around. Therefore the much cheaper group experience is really the same same but much cheaper…. But to be fair about the location or how clean the room the rooms are,… nothing to complain about this. Clean rooms and mostly friendly employees. Very close to Hanifaru bay which will nearly guarantee you an close encounter with Manta rays.

My stay at the Royal Island Resort was terrific. From the moment we arrived, the staff treated us like royalty. The employees were friendly, pleasant and treated us with a smile. The food was delicious. Something new every day, lots to choose from, and everything nicely labeled, with information about spicy, vegetarian and allergen-containing dishes. The waiters were wonderful, unobtrusive, well-behaved and smiling, just like the rest of the hotel staff. On the island there is a water sports centre (having many nice trips to offer as well as many nice things to rent) and a diving center. The island is not so big, but sufficient. You can circle it in an hour. The animals are not dangerous (at least I haven't heard of or saw any), but there are plenty of small lizards, cute bats and various birds. The presence of living creatures under water is a completely different story. This is something amazing. There you can find silver, colorful, long, fat, slim, small or larg fish and diversed, peaceful sharks, rays, starfish, barracudas, turtles, everything you can think of. For this reason, I highly recommend bringing your snorkeling equipment. It is also important to take something against mosquitoes, strong SPF creams and after sun lotions. If you forget or run out of them, there are some nice cosmetics at the spa or in the store. It was a perfect vacation - unforgettable views, delicious flavors, great friendships - this is how I will remember my stay. Many thanks to all the employees.

We had such a wonderful time there! ♥️ This was the best vacation ever! We celebrated our honeymoon there. Where to begin ... Overall it was a very pleasant experience. We were staying in cute Beach villa with lots of privacy. The staff and service was excellent! Very friendly and they were always looking for solutions. We want to thank Kath, who was always quickly responsive to our requests and took care of us all the time. When my husband needed medical help, it was arranged so professionally and they dedicated so much time to his problems, with tranquility and genuine interest in him. Special thanks goes to Dr. Angkan and nurse Vimala. Mithail in restaurant was so caring, he always checked if my husband feels better. He even brought him extra soup, cooked only for him, which was not on the menu, and coconut water with electrolites to feel better! Kavya was always at the front door of the restaurant to welcome us with big smile. We loved eating breakfast and dinner accompanied by positive and optimistic Kishore. Razis and Neyan took care about our villa, room keeping cleaned the villa twice a day! And surprised us with such a lovely bed decorations, even manta ray. 🙂 Now, at home, we still talk about this vacation and we miss extraordinary food we ate there. Thanks to chefs Madeleine, Mahesh, Damith, whose food melted in our mouth! I loved their Padang and shrimps in sweet chilli sauce. There was always such a big choice and many international cuisine options to choose! If you are looking for rest and tranquility, go for this vacation. It's so worth it! ♥️ It's a beautiful and calm area with good preserved underwater world. Do snorkeling everyday and relax all your senses. So much to see there, only in front of your door! We daily saw baby sharks, bigger sharks, manta ray, all beautiful colorful fish ... Resort is led with respect to nature and island's inhabitants. We didn't see any disadvantage there. We felt like at home there. 🙂 Atmosphere there is so homey, laid-back and easy, but at the same time, staff is so well organized and professional, that there is nothing you could miss there - everything needed is always provided. We strongly recommend Royal Island Resort, it's heaven on Earth!

Amenities and landscape are excellent! What a horrible customer service experience! There was a warm welcome but staff in every department were begging for tips anywhere. F&B staff became rude once they identified tips were insufficient. Bell service staff would stare at you once your baggage arrived in the room. They took the tips for granted. The hotel outsourced a bunch of shops. Bear in mind, they would charge you substantially on purpose if you do not pay attention to the billing. We rented a kayak for 2 hours from the water sports store . They claimed we passed kayaking activities in restricted areas. In fact, we did not. The water sports store owner drove a Jet ski to come by and warned us. Once we finished our kayaking activities and returned the kayak, they intended to charge us 45 USD for a rescue fee. What a scam business!! Don't go snorkeling and fishing with them. They will charge you 500-1000 per person. We ended up enjoying similar activities for 50 USD per person on an island where local residents resided.

We had our belated honeymoon at The Westin Maldives from 11-15 Nov. it was the most wonderful experience ever. As soon as our sea plane landed, we were warmly greeted by The Westin hospitality. The over water villa is huge, packed with everything we needed, the view of the Indian Ocean is just so amazing. All rooms come with an orange juice press and daily fresh refill of oranges as part of Westin live well, eat well motto. The service we experienced was immaculate. We enjoyed interacting with all their staff, learning a lot about day to day life and experiences of the locals as well as their international team. Special appreciation to Hotel manager Laurent Sung DJI Reynieix and Sous Chef Min Parajuli and their wonderful team. Laurent took the effort to chat with us daily or every time we meet at different parts of the property. Chef Min will always visit us at our table daily to ask for feedback about the food and drinks. When I couldn’t get used to the Diwali dinner, Chef Min specially prepared some dishes to ensure that I don’t go hungry. The team did everything they can to ensure that we truly enjoyed ourselves, were well fed and taken care of. The staff at the dive centre was amazing as well and they took very good care of our well being and safety. Special shout out to Ismail who brought us out to snorkel to see the sea turtles and jet ski tour. He always has our back and will keep a lookout for us throughout the whole trip. We are really blessed to have experienced the Westin Maldives hospitality. The people, the team makes a great difference to the excellence service experience and the team did a fantastic job! Maldives will always have a special place in my heart.

Easily one of the best resorts the Westin has, and a very high end staff. Fekrii and Hersham did such a great job taking care of us, as well as the rest of the team. The gym, including the steam room and sauna, were amazing. The views from the entire property were unmatched and the main pool is amazing as well. Best of all, you’ll love the large and very expansive rooms. The pictures online don’t do it any justice. I’d definitely book here again and I’d tell anyone to book here too. One of the best Maldives properties.

Shoutout to the exceptionally talented Chef Min Bahadur, who takes care of the kitchen. His dedication to quality and guest satisfaction, ensuring everything was up to par, was a highlight of my dining experience. Thank you Chef for the sushi and grill chicken for breakfast. ;) The involvement of the Director of Operations, Laurent Reynieix, and the General Manager, Vijay Kumar, in daily operations is praiseworthy. Their regular interactions with guests, including myself, were not just refreshing but indicative of their commitment to excellence. In many five-star resorts, such high-level engagement is rare, but here, it sets a precedent. This resort isn't just a stay; it's an experience that transcends the usual. The professional demeanor of every staff member, their keen eye for detail, and the sheer determination to make the stay nothing short of amazing is why I would rate this experience beyond the conventional five stars. A 10-star rating would be more fitting! The Westin Maldives doesn’t just meet the standards set by Marriott Bonvoy; it surpasses them, reinforcing my decision to maintain my Elite status. The PERFECT Honeymoon When researching potential hotels for our honeymoon in the Maldives, we started creating an Excel Sheet overview and rated 20+ hotels along different categories. The winner for us was The Westin Maldives Miriandhoo Resort. On paper the following points convinced us: Amazing house reef w/ very diverse marine life; Amazing villas & Dive Center on the Island. It was the first time for us to visit the Maldives and since it was our honeymoon (10 days), we had high expectations. To make it short: Our expectations were exceeded in a way that will be hard to describe by words. It was the PERFECT Honeymoon. To dive a little deeper: The Westin fulfills ALL the expectations that one has towards a hotel of that class: AMAZING nature (the house reef is incredible and we spotted sharks, rays and countless fishes), INCREDIBLE FOOD (we had 2-3 horse breakfast every morning and enjoyed the BEST breakfast of our lives including the best breakfast eggs one could wish for) and an extremely Luxurious resort (Amazing villas with incredible details, such as a private pool and open air shower). All of the above mentioned would have made our stay a 10 out of. But there is one more factor that made this stay unforgettable: The kindness, generosity, talent and continuous extra mile of the ENTIRE team. And we really mean the ENTIRE team. Every person that works in this hotel has just one goal: Anticipate your wishes and try to fulfill them before you even know you had this wish. We have never before in our life experienced such a level of hospitality. In the following, we want to thank some people especially, but we always include the entire team: Jorge: Jorge and his entire team work relentlessly to fulfill every culinary dream. The food is outstanding and no matter which requests you have, they will make it possible! Deepak: Deepak and his team work relentlessly to ensure all the logistics of food and beverages. Besides the incredible job the entire team is doing (and ensuring that there is never a lack of anything on the island), I remember sitting at breakfast on our first day, when some sun rays were hitting my eye and Deepak came running to our table to hand me his sunglasses. This is just an example of the outstanding work he and his team is doing. Laurent: Laurent is a phenomenom. While he is wearing a dozen hats at the same time, as he is the hotel manager, he always has time for a little chat and never feels stressed. He does an amazing job to align all the different departments from the hotel to ensure an extremely holistic experience. Sofie: Sofie was the first one to welcome us on the island and to show us around. She made sure that from the beginning every wish we had was fulfilled. Taath: Taath makes sure with his positive attitude that all the employees are happy and have a home away from their home. He enables every other employee to go the extra mile and has some of the most amazing drum skills I have ever seen. Shakyl: Shakyl and his housekeeping team work relentlessly to ensure that every single guest has the best villa experience possible. Never in my life have we experienced such an attention to detail and so much love and kindness from this entire team. Housekeeping falls short in describing what his team is doing. They are artists. Anton: The service level in all of the three restaurants is amazing. One person who really stood out is Anton, as he was fulfilling our wishes before we even knew we had them. Thank you so much! Fikree: Last but not least: Fikree. Fikree is one of the most outstanding people we got to know. He is not only extremely helpful, polite, curious and funny, but he made us feel at home thanks to his incredible kindness and hospitality. He treats every guest with the greatest respect, makes everyone laugh and is always available to solve any issue that a guest might have. Pros: 1. Beautiful property. 2. Excellent service. 3. 2 times room cleaning, beautiful reef. 4. Lots of sweets, ice cream, shakes etc. 5. Superb snorkeling experience. 6. Nice welcome Lounge at the seaplane terminal. 7. They provided complimentary sunset cruise, Champaign bottle, cake on arrival. Lovely experience. They should include more activities in package like free spa etc. Cons: 1. They don't have any free drinking water in Lunch/Dinner even if Lunch or dinner is free/complimentary in your package. Strange. We have to buy a bottle of water for an exorbitant price. 2. Very less veg options on the menu so the property is not suitable for Vegetarian Indians. Although Chef Mohan made 2 veg Indian dishes every dinner, you will have to be content with that. 3. There are 3 kinds of villas. Beach villa, Water villa, and Ocean villa. Water villa is on the shore(one side sea other side land) and hence sea waves continuously make sound throughout the night. Some people might find it disturbing. Ocean villas have both sides sea. 4. Make sure you reserve your seat in their signature restaurants in advance. We didnt got it when we wanted.

Stayed at Dusit Thani for 5 nights for our Honeymoon. We were on the Pure Indulgence All Inclusive Meal Plan. Split our stay across their Beach Villa and Ocean Pool Villa. Each and every aspect of our stay was fabulous & the hospitality made one feel like royalty. Let me start out with the numerous positives. The resort coordinated our pickup for seaplane transfer from the local hotel we were in at Male seamlessly. We had a personal butler during the course of our stay to help coordinate any of our requests. We requested for early checkin/ late checkout due to the timing of our arrival/departure flights which they allowed too. The house reef of Dusit Thani is absolutely stunning with its marine life. Snorkelling here was an absolute joy and we managed to snorkel at least once every day. The dive center provides complimentary snorkels and fins to use during the course of the stay. Coming to dining options, they have 3 restaurants - Market, Benjarong and Seagrill. The hospitality in benjarong and Market especially were top notch. The waiters at both these restaurants were super friendly. At benjarong, the manager regularly checked in during our meals to ensure everything was fine. At Market, the executive chef Prakash and team even went to the extent of making a custom Indian dish that we were craving for during our stay and it was truly a delight to see the extent they went to personalize our experience. Other notable complimentary add-ons were honeymoon cake and champagne, in-villa floating breakfast, in-villa lunch, 1 hour of kayaking, romantic candlelight dinner setup etc. Lastly, highlighting one minor nuance that can be an area for improvement. We ordered in-villa lunch that included 1 Starter + 1Main + 1Dessert per person. Since we weren't feeling like having dessert, wanted to replace this with a drink at the same price point as the dessert but they couldn't accommodate this & charged us separately. The main feedback here is to be flexible with the in-villa dining option and have a cap on the $ value of items to order as opposed to having restrictions on type of item one should order. To summarize, I would hand down recommend Dusit Thani for anyone planning to go on a honeymoon.

We had the most enchanting honeymoon stay at this luxurious property! From the elegantly appointed rooms to the impeccable service, every moment felt like a dream. The culinary experience was a true delight, with delectable food and drinks that tantalized our taste buds. Also, our plan was all inclusive so the unlimited drinks and food was great options to try everything out. This place also has ample space in their villas and they all three types of villas: beach villa, water villa and ocean villa. All of them are huge in size and good amenities. We also had a couple spa, that was also one of the amazing experiences we ever had.

Spent 5 days here and it was wonderful. Been snorkeling everyday, we saw turtles and many kinds of fish. There was a whale shark on call trip and we were lucky to see one. Love the food from both Benjarong and Sea Grill.
