We had an amazing experience. We spent 18 days in the Maldives, 7 of them in Maafushi and 11 in this incredible resort! If we had known beforehand, we would have come straight to the resort. It’s absolutely SPECTACULAR. The island is surrounded by an amazing coral reef; we saw reef sharks, three different types of rays, turtles, moray eels… an endless variety of fish. It feels like a natural aquarium. The hotel is great, the food is good, and the staff is lovely. We stayed in a Beach Villa, and the moment you step outside, you have the beach right at your feet—just amazing! A special mention goes to Aswin, our waiter throughout these 11 days. He is the best waiter in the entire restaurant, very attentive and quick with the service. Out of the whole experience, we believe he was truly the best, and we always tried to get a table in his section because we knew we would be extremely well taken care of. Thank you so much, Aswin!!

I’m giving Royal Island two stars purely based on the negative concierge/host service we received - the facilities were good, the beaches were beautiful and generally the staff were friendly and helpful. A big reason we chose to stay in this resort was because of its location in Baa Atoll, and my partner and I were keen to go snorkelling to try and see manta rays. I mentioned this to our host, Mark, when we checked in and he said that it was off season in Hanifaru Bay so we couldn’t go. I was disappointed but paid a visit to the water sports centre myself later, and found out they were organising manta snorkelling in Raa Atoll on the morning that we were meant to check out. I then asked Mark if he could change our speedboat and domestic flight times to slightly later if possible so we could go on the trip. He told us the evening before our check out that he checked but it was not possible to change our flight or speedboat. We were disappointed but understood. When I reached the airport for our domestic flight the next day, the airport worker couldn’t find our booking for the flight. She checked and saw we were booked onto a later flight, which would have meant we could have gone for the snorkelling! Clearly Mark had requested the change, but either had not checked properly or had communicated this to us incorrectly. Very disappointing communication and coordination by Mark, as we could have gone on the trip to see the mantas - it was also lucky we could be put on the earlier flight at the airport as we were already there. We ended up going on a last minute trip to a local island and saw mantas, but not everyone has the luxury of a spare couple of days, and coming to the Maldives is not a common occurrence for most travellers.

I had an unforgettable stay at Royal Island Resort & Spa. Everything was truly exceptional. The hotel services were professional, friendly, and always attentive. The quality of the food and drinks was outstanding with great variety and freshness. The island’s nature, crystal-clear water, and peaceful atmosphere made the experience even more special. A special thanks to Mr. Shius, whose kindness, professionalism, and warm hospitality made our stay even more memorable. We truly appreciate everything he did for us. Really want to share my feelings about the wonderful paradise that is Royal Island Resort and Spa))). From the very first day of our stay, we felt cared for, and Shius Mohamed👍 helped us with this. Everything was resolved very quickly and to the highest standard. Many thanks to him))). We were served in the restaurant by Kishon, a very attentive and friendly waiter. Oh, and we went to Salsa to see the wonderful Maria, who put us in a good mood and we were very happy. We sought help at the medical center, and both medical workers were attentive to us. Every employee greeted us when we met. Our vacation was wonderful, thank you!!!😊

Our stay at Royal Island Resort, Maldives was absolutely unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, the entire team made us feel like part of their family. The atmosphere of the resort is calm, warm, and welcoming — not only because of the beautiful surroundings, but mainly thanks to the people. Special thanks go to our waitress Sha and our waiter Aswin, Zubai, Swarana who were both truly exceptional. They always served us with a smile, remembered our preferences, and went above and beyond to make every meal a pleasant experience. Their kindness and genuine care created a wonderful family-like atmosphere that made our stay even more special. The island itself is stunning — turquoise water, white sand, and perfectly maintained gardens. But what makes Royal Island stand out is its amazing staff who turn a luxury stay into a heartfelt experience. We left with full hearts and a promise to come back. Highly recommended for anyone looking not only for paradise scenery but also a true sense of hospitality and human warmth.

Outstanding Dining Experience & Exceptional Head Chef – Westin Maldives Miriandhoo Resort Our stay at The Westin Maldives Miriandhoo Resort on Mirandhoo Island was exceptional, and a huge part of that experience was due to the Head Chef and culinary team. For a resort that is now seven years old, the food program felt fresh, creative, and truly world-class. The Head Chef went far beyond expectations, taking the time to personally understand dietary needs and allergies, and then creating custom meals that were not only safe, but absolutely outstanding. This was not “special accommodation” food—it was fine dining, thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented. Every meal felt intentional, flavorful, and memorable. The level of care and attention to detail made it clear that guest experience genuinely matters here. What really stood out was the hands-on, concierge-level approach from the kitchen. The Chef and staff were proactive, communicative, and incredibly professional, ensuring that every dining experience felt effortless and stress-free—especially important when allergies are involved. From breakfast through dinner, the quality was consistently excellent. Fresh ingredients, perfectly balanced flavors, and a level of personalization that you simply don’t find at most resorts. The Westin Maldives Miriandhoo Resort is a stunning property, but the culinary experience and leadership from the Head Chef truly elevate it into something special. This is a resort that understands that food is not just a meal—it’s a core part of the luxury experience. We would absolutely return, and the food alone is a reason to do so. Highly recommended.

I would highly recommend going to westin for your maldives holiday. We were travelling with two kids and the staff were all very accommodating and helpful. They have a kids club with activities for the kids and our kids enjoyed them alot! The team at dive centre were all very experienced and helpful, we did a waterfun ride, and due to kids on board, they had to checked in on us ensuring we are okay during the ride. The team is really good at coaxing the children and assuring them, cos at one point my girl decided to cry and wanted to get out of the ride, it was too scary for her. The guys in the speedboat were very assuring and caring. They ease her and calm her down, we managed to complete the whole ride. A big shoutout to ilhsan who always checked with us on our well being and he bid a fond farewell to us before we depart. Amira (i don't know if i got his name right), he answered our query about the marine lives and he gave us a little sneak peak behind the pearl restaurant where we can see shark activity. Jimmy who checked us in was very well versed with the resort and buggy us through, introducing the features of the resort. We booked an overwater villa and the view was stunning! We will definitely choose westin again if we ever come back to Maldives! Thank you Deepak (who was so hospitable and very good with the kids) and team! Your staff did a really great job from greeting us at the airport, to sending us off right to the check in counter when we depart! This is service over and beyond! We appreciate it and once again, well done WESTIN MIRIANDHOO!

The weariness from the combination of land & air travel ( 8 hrs in total ) melted away from the moment we step on the resort. Both me & my wife were instantly recharged by the warmth welcome from the staffs in heartfelt Maldivian hospitality. The atmosphere & ambiance made us loosen up & unwind to flexible activities available in the resort. Had the privileged to spend 2 nights in the Beach Front Villa followed by 3 nights in the Over Water Villa. The experiences from these 2 different room types were unique & magical on their own. Love them both. Definitely worth the value paid. Indoor & Outdoor cleanliness across the resort was consistently impressive, well kept & properly maintained despite size of the property. Noise Level : Slept soundly & waking up fresh to the sounds of nature & waves. Amenities : Standard as per shown in their website The GOOD Shout Outs to the incredible F&B service team .

We especially appreciate how he went the extra mile to fulfil our cravings for Shin Ramyun, spicy Sichuan dishes, and Thali cuisine. Each meal felt like a personalized experience ( including a memorable surprise birthday celebration for my wife ) and the attention to detail was second to none. The BAD Front office guys really need to work on the coordination with your outsource 3rd party service providers. Got our itineraries mixed up for 3 days despite us going personally to front office, dive centre, photo shoot centre for verifications on the timings.
The service quality & attitude from your 3rd party service providers really put a dent in our stay with you guys.

What a place! The reef, the resort, the facilities are all world class. Turtles, sharks, dolphins, sting rays, and countless other marine creatures around. Great sports, spa, sauna, etc. Amazing variety and quality of dining. But...what sets Westin apart is the people. The staff is warm, interactive, congenial, without being in your face all the time. Their attention to detail and personalised guidance made the visit a memorable experience.

Reethi Beach Resort is set on a truly stunning island – lush greenery everywhere, soft sand you can walk barefoot on, and a gorgeous house reef full of marine life like reef sharks, hawksbill turtles, and even octopuses. Nature lovers will really enjoy the setting. The staff were one of the highlights – everyone from waiters to bellboys and cleaning staff were polite, welcoming, and genuinely warm. The chefs were especially kind and happy to chat, and the food was fresh and high quality every day. Also great to have free access to gym, tennis, and badminton. For those looking to dive or enjoy water sports, there’s a well-equipped (but paid) diving and water sports center on site. However, there were a few things that affected our experience. The rooms were very dimly lit, with barely any natural light, and unfortunately, the air conditioning unit smelled extremely bad (attaching a picture). It was working, but the odor made it very unpleasant. Transportation was another issue – despite being the only guests traveling that day, we spent half a day just waiting due to poor organization. On our last day, although we were approved for late checkout, our sunbed was removed early in the morning, which felt a bit rushed. Finally, there was no proper introduction to the island or its activities – you're left to discover things on your own, which can be frustrating for first-time visitors. Overall, a beautiful island with amazing staff and nature, but a few service and facility issues stopped it from being a perfect 5-star experience.

The resort boasts stunning natural features and exudes a barefoot vibe throughout. The coral reef is in exceptionally good condition, with a fascinating array of wildlife! The bars and restaurants are excellent as well, though the main restaurant is dominated by Indian flavors. An excellent choice for a quiet and peaceful retreat.

We had the most incredible holiday at Reethi! From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. We were fortunate to stay in a water villa, which was simply breathtaking. While the resort is due for a refurbishment at the end of this month and could use a bit of TLC in places, it honestly didn’t affect our experience at all. The rooms were spotless, the food was delicious, and the staff went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. If you’re looking to escape to a stunning, natural island, this is the place to be. The snorkelling on the house reef was out of this world—we’ve never seen such a vibrant array of marine life. We’ve visited other islands in the Maldives and always enjoyed ourselves, but Reethi has a unique charm that truly sets it apart. The atmosphere is wonderfully tranquil and rustic, and the staff are some of the friendliest and happiest we’ve ever met. Huge thanks to Kokki, Uelly, Mohammed, Alex, and the entire Reethi team for making this such a memorable trip. We’ll definitely be returning!. Thank you!

Exceptional Stay at Reeti Beach Resort – A Perfect 30th Anniversary Celebration My wife and I arrived at Reeti Beach Resort on the morning of February 16th to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. From the moment we took the seamless seaplane transfer from Malé, everything was flawlessly arranged. We stayed one night at the Beach Villa and two nights at the Water Villa. Both accommodations were spacious, clean, and well-maintained. The turquoise waters just outside our villa were breathtaking, making the experience even more magical. As strict Jain vegetarians, we were initially concerned about food options, but Chef Rajesh went above and beyond to curate delicious meals tailored to our dietary needs. Every dish was thoughtfully prepared, and the flavors were simply outstanding. As a special gesture, the resort also arranged a complimentary anniversary dinner at a separate restaurant, which truly made our celebration even more memorable. We opted for the dolphin cruise and sunset cruise, and luck was on our side—we had an incredible experience. Additionally, the resort offers a professional photoshoot service, and Mr. Mohammad Shiham from Studio 7 did a phenomenal job capturing our moments beautifully. The entire property was impeccably clean, to the point where footwear felt unnecessary. Opting for the all-inclusive package was a great decision, as it allowed us to enjoy multiple bars without any hassle. Our departure was just as well-organized, ensuring a smooth experience right until the last moment. Reeti Beach Resort exceeded our expectations in every way, making our anniversary celebration truly special. I highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for an unforgettable and luxurious getaway.

The resort is beautiful and the staff are generally polite, but there were some disappointments. The food selection, especially at breakfast and buffet, did not meet my expectations. As a Muslim traveler, I was surprised to see pork being served, considering the Maldives is a Muslim country. I expected more consideration or clearer halal-focused options, as been done by many countries. Hope the Maldives doesn't lose their identity! We also had an issue with Banjarong Restaurant. We were told a 7:00 PM reservation was not available and were offered 8:00 PM instead. However, when we went at 7:00 PM, there were many empty tables. We were initially denied and only accommodated after we insisted, which felt unnecessary, and this happened twice. Overall, the stay was good, but improvements in food offerings and reservation management would enhance the guest experience.

Dusit Thani Maldives: A Slice of Thai Paradise in the Indian Ocean Returning to Dusit Thani Maldives always feels like coming home, a true testament to what makes this Thai brand so special. The hallmark of gracious Thai hospitality is present in every moment, from the warm welcome to the thoughtful touches throughout the stay. I stayed in one of their water villas, which was spacious, beautifully appointed, and perfectly balanced between luxury and comfort. I was delighted to find Diptyque amenities in the bathroom, my absolute favorite brand, a small detail that made a big difference. Breakfast was another highlight. The spread was simply amazing with a wide variety of international and Asian cuisine, all freshly prepared and beautifully presented. For lunch, I enjoyed the Sea Grill, where the combination of great food and stunning ocean views made for the perfect midday indulgence. But what truly made my stay unforgettable was dinner at The Bunkering. We ended up dining there every single night, and as a Thai, I have to say their authentic Thai food is beyond exceptional, possibly some of the best I’ve had outside of Thailand. The service was equally impressive; Khun Rungnapa and her team went above and beyond to make every meal special. Finally, the house reefs around the resort are breathtaking. I saw a vibrant array of fish and even a few turtles, making each snorkeling session magical. Dusit Thani Maldives perfectly blends Thai charm with Maldivian beauty, a place where luxury feels personal, nature feels close, and every detail is delivered with a smile. I can’t wait to return.

All my bags are packed and I’m not ready to go… 🎶 Excellent service as expected of Thai hospitality. We were always greeted by warm smiles and service staff who asked how was our day. The Market crew Chefs Andi and Kunaya; servers Akram, Sofwan, Mai, and the many more took excellent care of us. The theme buffet dinners had some standout choices as well and I would recommend the Seafood BBQ and Chefs Market dinners - self explanatory name for the first and the latter features fresh yellow fin tuna. Benjarong had great selection of Thai food. About as close to kitchens of Bangkok more than 2000 miles from home. Loved the Pad See Ew! Silky soft rice noodles with strong wok kissed flavours. Would recommend the lamb chops for dinner too. Thanks to the great crew Khun Nok and Khun Prang for taking care of us. Sea Grill which was the closest to our villa was the choice of late lunches and convenient dinners. Amazing tuna steak there along with excellent crew Supun, Nikku (?) and the always cheery lady who would bring us to our table. Spa is highly recommended. Khun Patch and Khun Chompu have great techniques. I would be negligent not to mention the housekeeping crew. I almost never see them but we appreciate their presence whenever we return after breakfast and dinner. Finally, huge thanks to our butler Levi who was attentive and took care of everything!
