Just returned from a week at Sol Cala D'Or Apartments and I can't recommend them enough. We had a 1 bed apartment overlooking the pool area. The kitchen area is small and cooking utensils are limited, but we didn't go to cook so it was fine for us. It was exceptionally clean with towels and bedding changed every other day. The pool and surrounding area was cleaned early every morning. It was difficult to get a sun lounger if you like a lie in, but we expected that from previous reviews and were up early to bag our spot.....by that I mean we actually occupied the beds and didn't just chuck a towel on to reserve them. The pool attendant does try to police people reserving beds for hours without actually using them, but it's not an easy job. Overall, we had a fabulous week, the staff were all happy and polite, the location was excellent, the sun was shining and we would 100% book here again 😁

Rooms were clean, location was great (4 min walk to Cala Gran). Pool was a nice spot to relax, busy but can’t complain for the price. There was a karaoke bar across the square that was quite loud until 11-12 into the night, bring earplugs/be wary if you are a light sleeper

We've just retured after our second time staying at Sol Cala d'Or Apartamentos as a family of four. The location is very good with just a few minutes walk to the beach and restaurants. This stay the apartment was situated facing the busy pubstreet but it wasn't a big duel for us as we didn't use the apartmentterrace in the evening and the windows kept out the sounds. The kitchenett is less equipped than I remember from 2019 when we first stayed at the hotel but it was fine for making us breakfast and a snack.
The poolarea is supernice however with all the rules of behavior that applies it's difficult to know how to act or swim. Sometimes it's ok playing gentle with a ball not disturbing other swimmers, sometimes not. It depends on the lifeguard on duty. The watertemperature in the pool was excellent.
Luis and Antonia in the reception, thank you for your warm hospitality, I miss our chats alredy. Un beso, Victoria Zarzuela

I stayed on a room only basis for a week from 25th June - 2 July.
I had a studio apartment. There was a kitchenette with a sink with drainer, a fridge with a freezer drawer, a two ring electric hob, a kettle, a toaster, and a microwave. There were cups, saucers, plates, bowls, and glasses. There was also a selection of pots and pans, etc. (mine were hidden under the TV unit 😀).
My room had a decent size Samsung flat screen mounted on the wall. I found BBC1, BBC2, ITV1, ITV2, and ITV3 on there.
My room had 2 twin beds, which were comfortable, and a bedside cabinet. There were electrical sockets on both sides of the bed and elsewhere conveniently placed around the apartment. The ceiling in my apartment sloped down towards the balcony, so I had to watch my head. The balcony was big enough to sit out on, with a table, two chairs and a clothes hanging rail.
The studio also had a small table with 2 chairs for dining.
The bathroom was clean and well maintained. There was always plenty of hot water.
The cleaner came every second day and did a great job - always worth leaving a tip.
The bar area is a few steps down from the pool and offers everything you would expect. This is also where breakfast is taken. Although I ate out from breakfast.
I had lunch a couple of times here and really enjoyed the food. On Saurday, the bar has a happy hour with 2-4-1 cocktails, which were very popular.
The pool is lovely. There are steps leading into the shallow end where there is a raised platform with sun loungers fixed in place. The deep end is around 2.3 meters deep. There is a separate kiddies pool as well.
When it comes to using sun loungers, there was a culture of putting towels down, then heading off to breakfast or lunch, etc. On several occasions, I arrived to find every single bed claimed and hardly any people using them or the pool. There is a sign in reception forbidding this and noting any towels put down before 10am (the pool opening time) may be removed. In addition, any towel left unattended for more than 30 minutes may also be removed.
The pool attendant was great and, on request, would shift some unattended towels to find you somewhere to relax.
The location of the apartments is great with good bars, restaurants, and supermarkets, literally a stones throw away.
All the staff were friendly, helpful and professional.
If I could ask for one improvement it would be the addition of an easy-chair or small settee in the apartment.
I would definitely recommend Sol Cala D'or Apartments.

Great place to stay, lots of little coves around to visit and harbour. Apartments have a great pool with slides. Service is great and very friendly.
