The place is very beautiful, clean, with a staff that provides excellent service. The breakfast/lunch/dinner area is very elegant and clean. The breakfast is very well balanced and quite comprehensive.
These are the positive aspects. Unfortunately, there are also a few negative points: I'll start with the room we stayed in and the neighboring ones — the sound insulation is very poor; you can't get any rest at night, as it feels like the windows are always open (the rooms face back a road with constant traffic).
Then there's the metalic spiral staircase, which feels like you're climbing into an attic — very uncomfortable and undesirable.
And one last thing: I didn't understand why there are no mosquito nets on the windows, especially considering the high number of mosquitoes.
Finally, I’d like to mention that the adult pools close at 7:00 PM — exactly when it would be ideal to take a swim and enjoy the moment. This is incomprehensible to me.
That being said, it is still a pleasant place, above the average offer in the area.

I stayed at this hotel recently and unfortunately, my experience did not match the expectations set by the photos online.
Positives:
• The breakfast was decent and satisfying.
• The room itself was functional, and everything was kept clean.
• The front desk staff were exceptionally warm and helpful, definitely a highlight of the stay!
Negatives:
• The photos online make the hotel appear far more luxurious than it actually is. In reality, it’s more of an apartment-style hotel with no real services like room service, which was disappointing. Lots of water and pipes problems.
• It was quite noisy during my stay, and the noise levels made it hard to relax.
• The overall standard of the hotel did not match what was advertised.
Overall, while the staff and cleanliness were great, the experience didn’t meet the expectations set by the online presentation. I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re looking for a luxury stay as pictured in the photos.

We stayed at Grecotel Plaza Beach House for my birthday and had a fantastic time. Check-in began with a complimentary room upgrade—such a thoughtful start—and on the big day the team surprised me with a free “Happy Birthday” cake, which really made the trip feel special.
The hotel itself is spotless, the staff are genuinely friendly, and the private beachfront (complete with comfy sunbeds) makes it easy to unwind. Breakfast is a generous buffet: I loved the continental spread of fresh fruit, pastries, and cheeses, though the hot options weren’t quite to my taste. One minor quibble: the in-room Nespresso machine only comes with a few complimentary capsules, and extras are €2 each.
Overall, we couldn’t have asked for a better stay and would happily return to Grecotel Plaza Beach House on our next trip to Crete. 😊

We stayed at this hotel to celebrate my sister in laws wedding. Myself, my husband and my 3 children were booked for 4 nights at the hotel. The staff from the moment we arrived were less than inviting and frankly quite rude. On the second night of our stay, someone broke into our room and stole jewellery items that were not only sentimental but held significant financial value. The break in occurred in the early hours of the morning whilst myself, my husband and my babies were sleeping. The hotel assumed 0 responsibility, and didn’t even have the decency to move our rooms as we felt incredibly unsafe. The staff post this event were sheepish, avoidant and lead us to believe that they were involved in the burglary. The 5 of us slept in the one bedroom post this event with a mattress on the floor because my 3 year old was petrified of someone entering our room again. Other attendees to the wedding that were also staying at this hotel had suitcases rummaged through and had disturbances to their rooms on the same evening. I would not feel safe to return here and would urge patrons, especially with small children to seriously consider subjecting yourselves to this kind of vulnerability.

Relaxed and pampered stay at Plaza Beach
June 2025
We enjoyed every minute at the Plaza Beach Hotel, the staff were all so warm, relaxed, friendly and attentive, we stayed in the plaza grand apartment which was just as described, it suited us well as a family with two older teenage daughters. The breakfasts were delicious with a choice of hot or cold options and also included fruits, salad and vegetables, yoghurts, cereals and a range of Greek cakes and pastries too! The location was great being just across the road to the beach with the complementary sunbeds and parasols. Restaurants and shops are within a couple of mins walk away. It's about 25-30 min walk to the old town or 7 Euros by taxi. The village style of the hotel is really unique and the pools were kept clean and warm.
Our daughter enjoyed a wonderful pedicure at the hotel spa with Maria on our last day, Maria was excellent at making her feel comfortable, creating a relaxed pampered experience with a beautiful French pedicure, we highly recommend and wish we tried the spa earlier in our trip. Thank you!

Great hotel. Stayed here at the end of April 2025 for four nights. Staff are super friendly and attentive. Food is very good and varied. Our comfortable room was on the ground floor but we still had a sea view as the hotel is high up, offering beautiful views from the restaurant and bar area. A tip is to use the sister hotel's pool about a 10 min walk away at most. It's heated, whereas the one at Eva Palace isn't. Plus it's worth a visit for a different view. I recommend a walk out onto the boardwalk built around the rocks. Good location to explore other parts of the island.

My husband and I came to the hotel with our one year old and had a great time. The pool is large (but very cold, understandable in May) and the section by the beach is wonderful. The hotel grounds are absolutely beautiful with lots of greenery and flowers and the most beautiful view of the sea.
We went for the comfort package so we had everything included, I enjoyed the fact that the lunch buffet was near the pool so we didn’t have to go to the main restaurant and it kept things from getting boring.
There is a great selection of food at the buffets and lots of drink options. We don’t really drink alcohol so I only had a few glasses of wine throughout our week there, but I saw an array of delicious looking cocktails going to other tables.
If I were to say one negative is that there is a lack of baby changing facilities. This did make it quite difficult to change my daughter but we found ways.
The one thing I can’t get over is how kind and lovely all the staff were. The staff are incredibly friendly and really made the best effort to give us a great trip. They were so engaging with our daughter and everyone from receptionists, waiters, and housekeepers were so kind to her. The staff really made the experience what it was. Would definitely recommend.

We recently stayed at Grecotel Eva Palace and had one of the best vacation experiences of our lives. The views are absolutely breathtaking, the beach is pristine and relaxing, and the entire property is kept very clean and well-maintained. The service, in particular, is what truly sets this hotel apart.
A special thank you to Themis, the service manager, who went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. We follow a Kosher diet, and he made sure to provide us with brand-new dishes and personally oversaw all the details to accommodate our needs. It was an incredible gesture that we deeply appreciated.
Of course, nothing is ever completely perfect—the room we stayed in had a bit of a funny smell when we arrived. But honestly, everything else was so exceptional that it hardly detracted from our overall experience.
We highly recommend Grecotel Eva Palace and look forward to coming back in the future!

4* Hotel, fantastic food, the staff never stop working and can not do enough for you. It's clean and tidy and a beautiful location. Loads of food options, inside and out and also has a street food area. I have stayed all over the world and this hotel is just as good as some 5*. We had a late arrival and food was finished, however we had lunch in the fridge. The room is spacious, cool and was all new.
Only problem was some families reserving sunbeds, despite signs saying do not. However I told the staff and they removed the towels and allowed other families to use the beds.
EDIT* Now returned home, again, unable to find a reason to complain about the hotel, however some guests (Mainly German speaking) are rude, pushing in at the bar or dinner, taking up multiple sunbeds then not using them, letting children run around in the nude at all times of day or night. A small bunch were very rude, but also had no idea I spoke German and have the ability to understand. Last issue is parents letting children run around holding glasses or plates, running around hot food and drinks in the dining area, at least 4-5 plates and or glasses smashed per day due to children that I personally observed, parents, control your children. Also don't forget some people (Stupid English) as we were called understand and can speak your language.

We stayed from 2 May 2025 - 9 May 2025 and had a great time.
Our highlights:
* all pools are well maintained, clean, and spacious.
* Snack bar, crepe station is amazing, help yourself to soft drinks
* Staff are so friendly and welcoming
* Private beach was close to the hotel and clean
* Plenty of sun beds, we weren't having to get up early to find a nice spot.
* Wide range of all inclusive drinks at the bar.
* Always something we enjoyed at mealtimes
* Good evening entertainment - equally we enjoyed sitting around the bar area playing cards.
* Lifeguards we're friendly and great with families and children.
* Reception had a couple of birds that fly around and it is so lovely to see how nature is respected at this hotel.
* There is a beautiful cat who liked to lay on our sun beds and the staff are so respectful to the animals and don't see them as a nuisance.
The only minor inconvenience was that our aircon only worked as a fan and didn't cool the room down much but otherwise the rooms are nice and clean. Would definitely recommend ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We had an amazing time at Casa Paradiso! The gym and the view were both lovely. The entertainment team made our stay truly special—every activity was fun, well-organized, and full of great energy. A big thank you to Vasilis, Reva, Samuel, Theoni, Eugen, and Lidia for filling our days with laughter, unforgettable shows, and fantastic moments. From water polo games to the night entertainment, everything was just perfect. We’ll definitely recommend this place. It was a beautiful and memorable vacation!
The Home Ed Boys
We recently stayed at Grecotel Casa Paradiso with our cousins, uncle, auntie, parents, and my brother – and it was an absolutely wonderful experience! From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly lovely, kind, and welcoming, making us feel right at home.
The food was spectacular, with a great variety that kept everyone happy, and the entertainment was top-notch, offering something fun every day. We loved having easy access to the pool, waterslides, and multiple bars, which meant we could grab snacks and drinks throughout the day with no hassle.
Our rooms were cosy, comfortable, and always spotless – the cleaning staff did an amazing job every single day. You could tell they really cared about making our stay as comfortable as possible.
Overall, it was a brilliant family holiday and a place we’d definitely love to return to. Huge thanks to all the staff for being so kind, supportive, and hardworking. You truly made our stay special!

Here now on our last few days after a week stay. Here is my honest review of casa paradiso. We have never holidayed in greece before so didn't know what to expect. We only ever usually stay in 4 and 5 star hotels. We have holidayed in many countries including Spain, Egypt, turkey and canary islands.
The hotel is clean and pool areas are also clean the grounds are well kept. We stayed in a bungalow near the shop this was very noisy early morning and early evening but didn't bother us too much however woke my younger son a few mornings. On arrival you get two bottles of water in the mini fridge this is not replenished during your stay and you are expected to use the bottles to refill at the water stations or buy more from the shop. The water at the refill stations has an odd taste nothing like iv ever tasted before on holidays and this made us buy more in the shop rather than use the stations. I think this is poor for a 4* AI resort and would expect replenishment of bottled water in the room as standard. We had a few ants in the rooms but nothing worrying. The rooms were great. Big comfortable beds and wifi was good. The bathroom however could do with some updating but the shower water pressure was fantastic. Basic toiletries are provided which is a bonus but would much rather substitute these for the bottled water. The staff are all lovely, very polite and made us feel very welcome. We had little interaction with the animation team during our stay but the times when our two children did play games around the pool they did enjoy it. The animation team do not hassle you to join in if you don't want to. The pool areas are kept nice and the two water slides are a bonus. The beach bar is too far away to call it a beach bar you have to cross a road and walk back into the hotel grounds for a drink if you are on the beach. The evening entertainment is a bit poor for a 4* resort its like they have looked for the cheapest acts and booked them on a weekly rota this ment we spent a lot of time in our room in the evening. The hotel location is good there is a bus stop right outside that will take you to Kos town or Tigaki for around €2 each you can also walk into Marmari town in around 20 mins. The food and drinks was a massive let down for us unfortunately and would stop us from returning. The choice is very limited and poor to be honest. No kids corner for children's buffet options. The food is lukewarm (to be expected in an AI resort) but it is poor and not what we were expecting at all. There are snacks at the beach bar at certain times of the day but these were flat cold. The crepes and ice creams at the beach bar were good but the queue was always long. The drinks were another MASSIVE let down for us and were the worst we have ever experienced on holiday :( the self serve beer tasted vile, the fizzy drinks were always flat and tasted really odd like cleaning fluid or something strange and the cocktails could strip paint from the walls despite some having branded spirits. This combined with the odd tasting water meant we spent ALOT of money in the resort shop on bottled water. Whist away for the week both my children became ill with a sickness bug something we have never had before on holiday abroad (we go away every year) i strongly believe this is due to the drink quality at the hotel. No matter which pool we went to at which time of day we never struggled to get a sunbed so this was a positive for us. I think this hotel is more like a 3* resort and unfortunately for us the negatives outweighed the positives.

We stayed here on an all inclusive basis and had a really good holiday.
The food is abundant, with a large variety of choice. It is freshly cooked and well prepared. Everyone will find something they like. You could use the buffet all holiday without getting bored. The bookable restaurants are only worth doing if you are on all inclusive as the menu prices are steep for what you get and not value for money if paying direct.
We found the staff here to be friendly, polite and always wanting to make your stay as good as possible. We had an issue with one of our rooms initially which was sorted to our satisfaction with a minimum of fuss.
This hotel and its grounds are immaculately clean and well cared for. Virtually everywhere you go is spotless. It makes the environment very relaxing. The water feature around the outside dining area has a nice aesthetic too.
The private beach is a bit grey and pebbly but the view across the water to Turkey is nice if a little hazy. This beach faces east so it is better for morning sun bathing. The sun loungers in the beach area are not as comfy as those around the pools.
The pool bar is well placed and has an extensive drinks menu. The 1930s bar near reception is a quieter place to spend the evening with cocktails outside in comfortable seats.
For me it is not 5* though as there are some annoying niggles which they should sort out.
It is basically down to a lack of staff. Most annoying of all is getting to the Lagoon restaurant to find that there are no tables available. This is not because they are full but because there are lots of tables that have been vacated and not cleaned and reset. They need to get on top of this because it is a real negative. In addition, there is never enough staff at the pool bar resulting in long waits in the sun for drinks. This could easily be rectified with a couple of extra bar staff.
Overall, though, we had a really good holiday. Would I recommend it? Yes, but with the staffing caveats above.

It's an unfair comparison but I had visited ikos only weeks earlier which is simply outstanding. This has a different price point and once you accept that you can accept its offering is not the same.
That said whilst the rooms are tired and in need of an upgrade this is a great reasonably priced hotel and excellent for families.
Biggest problem was cold sea water pools and for this reason alone I suspect we wouldn't return

We recently stayed here for a week and were blown away by the hotel and the service we received. We arrived at the hotel around midnight after our flight and were greeted by front desk staff who took our bags and led us to the restaurant where we were given a complimentary buffet dinner, which we were grateful for after a long flight! Our room was very comfortable, with all the amenities expected. The hotel is stunning, exceptionally well maintained with plenty of pools, bars and restaurants as well as beautiful views across the sea. There is a bus stop just outside the hotel that will take you into Kos town, or there are plenty of e-scooters around to rent, which is what we used.
Every staff member we encountered was so friendly and could not do more for you.
Our only small comment would be for the pool loungers to be more carefully monitored. Hotel policy seems to be that you cannot reserve pool loungers by placing towels on them, but we were confronted by a French family who insisted that they had “booked” our loungers. A sign did go up beside the pool a few days before we left stating that unattended towels would be moved after 30 mins but we did not see this take place. I think it would help if this was more carefully kept an eye on so people aren’t able to “reserve” a sunbed all day with towels.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend this or any Grecotel hotel to friends and family.

We had a fantastic week here. Excellent service and friendly staff. Food was brilliant with some good variety. Loved the cocktails and variety of wines on offer too. Room was clean and very comfortable. We really enjoyed the evening entertainment, especially the Shaolin Acrobat team. Just a really nice relaxing hotel to be in and around. Easy to get a taxi into Rethymno too for a bit of local culture.

We were in Crete for a wedding and stayed at the Creta Palace. We were traveling with 5 adults and three kids (3, 14 month, and 4 months). I’d have to say the best part of our experience was how accommodating the staff was for our children. For all 7 days of our trip, their staff was incredible and they really make sure the kids can be easily taken care of. Plenty of activities and areas for the kids that are enjoyable for everyone.
In addition, the location is not far from other beautiful beach’s as well as the thriving old town. If you’re looking for a place to take the weight of the everyday off your shoulders, this is a great spot.

Great hotel, beautiful grounds, great beach. The room we booked (garden view) could not keep up with the very modern, new and high-quality facilities and was unfortunately also very noisy.
The breakfast buffet was extensive, a very large selection and very tasty, unfortunately with little variety. But that's complaining on a high level, as the dishes on offer were very tasty. Unfortunately, neither the lunch nor the dinner buffet could live up to the breakfast buffet; only the selection of starters and the salad selection was very good. Many of the hot dishes were repetitive and there was a lack of spices. So if you expect a buffet in line with a 5-star hotel, you may be disappointed.
The selection of drinks, preparation and service were very good.
Great, very courteous service in all areas! Absolutely must be mentioned.
All in all, we were very satisfied; and yes, it is perhaps complaining on a high level. If I could, I would give it 4.5 stars, but it wasn't quite enough for the full 5 stars due to the room and buffet situation.

From the moment we arrived at the resort, we were completely blown away by the beauty, hospitality, and attention to detail. This place is truly a slice of paradise. The staff were incredibly warm, welcoming, and always ready to go above and beyond to make our stay exceptional. Every interaction felt genuine and heartfelt.
The room was immaculate, spacious, and tastefully decorated, with breathtaking views that made waking up each morning a dream. The housekeeping team did an outstanding job every day, and we especially appreciated the little touches that made the experience feel so personal.
Dining at the resort was another highlight – the variety, quality, and presentation of the food were all five-star. Each meal felt like a special event, and the chefs clearly put a lot of passion into their work. We particularly loved the beachfront dinners and the locally inspired dishes. A special thank you to Nikos for his exceptional kindness and attentive service at the restaurant – he truly made our dining experience even more memorable.
The amenities and activities were endless – from the relaxing spa treatments and the crystal-clear pools to the adventurous excursions and watersports, there was something for everyone. We left feeling rejuvenated, inspired, and already dreaming of our next visit.
If we could make one small suggestion, it would be to install more effective blackout curtains. In the morning, quite a bit of light came into the room, which sometimes disrupted our sleep.
That said, this was a minor detail in an otherwise flawless experience. If you’re looking for the perfect escape with luxury, comfort, and impeccable service, this resort should be at the top of your list. We can’t recommend it highly enough

Overall, the hotel is superb. It is clean, the food is excellent, the view is amazing, and there are nice bars and a beautiful pool.
However, we noticed two small downsides: the rooms are a bit old compared to the rest of the hotel, but they are very clean, which definitely adds value.
The second issue is that the beach has quite a lot of seaweed, which I believe could be resolved by cleaning it regularly — that would also improve the smell.
That said, there’s an extraordinary beach with fine sand just a 15-minute walk away!

Stayed at this resort recently and overall had a good experience. The rooms are comfortable but definitely in need of refurbishment—they could use a refresh. Housekeeping is excellent, keeping everything clean and well-stocked.
The food is outstanding—plenty of variety, always fresh, and far better than what you usually find in holiday resorts. Easily 5 stars for the food alone.
Staff are friendly and helpful, especially the ladies at reception who are lovely and professional. Unfortunately, the male reception staff could be more attentive—they sometimes act more like owners than employees.
One downside: no proper facilities for late check-out. If your flight is at night, there’s nowhere to shower or rest, which is a big letdown.
This place is perfect for families—lots of kids running around, playing, and making noise. If you’re after peace and quiet, this isn’t the place. But if you’re looking for a fun, family-oriented holiday, it’s a great choice.

Relaxing Solo Holiday at Grecotel Meli Palace
I had a 12 Night stay here as a solo traveller from 09/06/25 - 21/06/25 and had a nice quiet, relaxing holiday. The hotel was located in a nice quiet location which is what I wanted. The hotel is clean and well maintained and all the staff were very friendly throughout my stay. I’m a very fussy/basic eater but there was always a good selection of food so I never went hungry. I liked how I didn’t have to rush up very early in the morning to get a sun-bed round the beach area as there was a pile of sun-beds(which are light) to pick up and plenty of space to put it to sit. Though towards the end of my holiday there was the one day where I did actually struggle to get one, so it may get harder as it gets busier. The swimming pool area there is not as much room. The self serving drinks machines and ice cream at the beach/pool bar is very good so I could just keep going up to refill and hardly queue though it was starting to get busier my last few days.
I had a massage at the SPA which was very nice and relaxing, the staff there were very nice and made me feel very comfortable and relaxed. I took a walk into Sissi which was about 20-30 minutes and a nice little village with shops/bars and ATM machine (there isn’t an ATM at the hotel).
The sea was nice to swim in, would definitely bring sea shoes to wear as it is pebbly and stoney as you enter the water. I had a Garden View room which was basic but had everything I needed. The cleaner who cleaned my room done a very good job. When away I do like to sit on my room balcony and chill. It was quite hard to do here as there is not much privacy as the balcony to your neighbour is like you are literally sitting next/with each other.
Overall, I go on holiday to sit and relax and was sure able to do that here. Would return and recommend.

What we liked.... Friendly service 10/10
All-inclusive served branded spirits as standard
Food was (like most all-inclusive) a bit "samey" after a few days
However, there is a section for gluten free and they will make you a gluten free pizza on request.
Water park was fun. Very well managed.
Every room gets a voucher to eat in a local restaurant in the nearby village.
A few pools and a beach with fantastic clean clear water. (with bar) they supply the towels without a silly deposit.
Some negatives... Quite far away from a large town or city.
No regular bus service
Thought the room clean could have been a bit more thorough.
But ask a member of staff and they will try to help without a fuss.
I was a Spain fan but over the last few years i found some parts of Spain in the tourist resorts to be unfriendly and almost hostile. SO, GREECE IS WHERE I SPEND MY MONEY FROM NOW ON.

The first one who we met was Eleni at lunch- she was just lovely and made sure we're starting our vacation with a smile.
We've spent 7 days here- the food was always fresh and delicious. The water park was great for our kids (age 6-11).
The bartenders we're professional amd always knew to make us the perfect drink.
We did a pilates class outdoor - very professional.

Charming Hotel with Some Drawbacks
This is a picturesque and charming hotel, very well located and generally attracting a pleasant clientele. The staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our stay, which added positively to the overall atmosphere.
The water park is a nice feature, especially for families, but the water was unfortunately very cold, which limited our enjoyment.
Our room was a bit dated, with old furniture that could use an upgrade. At times, the hotel felt overcrowded, particularly in common areas.
The buffet offered good quality food with a varied selection, though the layout and flow could be improved — it often felt quite chaotic.
Overall, a pleasant stay with a few points that could be refined to enhance comfort and experience.

From the very first moment we stepped into the hotel, we were welcomed with genuine smiles and kindness. The staff were incredibly attentive, professional, and made every effort to ensure that we felt comfortable and cared for — it truly felt like a home away from home.
One of the most touching moments for us was when the team surprised my daughter with a birthday cake for her 16th birthday. It was such a thoughtful and emotional gesture that meant so much to both of us. This kind of attention to detail and heartfelt hospitality is what sets this hotel apart.
The food at the hotel was absolutely delicious, with a wide range of choices for every taste — whether you’re into Mediterranean, international dishes, or lighter options, there was something for everyone. The pool was always clean and spacious enough, and the minibar in our room was refilled every day, which was a nice touch, especially with kids.
Every single staff member we interacted with — from reception to housekeeping to the restaurant staff — was kind, helpful, and genuinely seemed to enjoy making guests happy.

So disappointed in this resort. We previously stayed at the Grecotel in Corfu and it was amazing....this place is not. Rooms, hallways, elevators all need renovation. Currently the air-conditioning is not working. The first room we checked into last night had hot air coming out of the AC vents so we waited about 1- 1 1/2 hours for them to put us in another room just to have the same EXACT thing happen. We had to sleep with the sliding doors open and of course woke up with mosquito bites everywhere. If the resort as a whole is experiencing issues with their air-conditioning, we should have been notified of this when we checked in yesterday. The 2 meals we have had so far at this resort have just been mediocre at best.While the hotel staff are extremely polite and the ocean view and pools are very beautiful, that cannot make up for all the other things listed in this post. I would NEVER stay here again. It's so bad my husband is looking for a room elsewhere. Again, I cannot describe my level of disappointment at this resort compared to the one on Corfu. The one on Corfu is a 10, this is a 2.

We had a really lovely stay – the hotel itself is beautiful, well-maintained, and the food was absolutely delicious with a great variety every day. The staff were generally friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere throughout the resort was relaxing and enjoyable.
However, one major downside really affected our overall experience: the sunbed situation. Unfortunately, almost all sunbeds – both at the pool and by the beach – were reserved by guests extremely early in the morning, often with towels left unattended for hours. Despite the beach being nearly empty at times, every single lounger was “taken,” making it nearly impossible to find a place to relax unless you got up very early yourself. This issue seriously needs to be addressed by hotel management to ensure fair access for all guests.
In summary, it’s a great hotel in many ways, but the sunbed reserving culture was frustrating and disappointing.

I just stayed here with my husband for a few days, it’s a very beautiful resort with very amazing serving staff. All the bartenders, bar managers, servers, and waiters/waitresses were absolutely beyond amazing. I think our best night of our trip was visiting the Greek restaurant, because of the waiter we had. I will say, it did seem that one of the managers for the restaurant and beach bar that we had encountered many times on our trip was very harsh to the staff and it was quite uncomfortable to see them treated like that. The buffet food is one of the best that i’ve ever been to, the environment is very calm and peaceful and overall if you’re looking for a good place to tan, relax, and have great food, i would certainly recommend staying.

Our vacation was an exceptional experience.
The rooms were impeccable and spotlessly clean.
The food was excellent, with a wide variety and high-quality ingredients.
Make sure to book a table at one of the four restaurants located within the hotel. We chose the Italian and the fine dining options, and I must admit, I was pleasantly surprised.
The staff were extremely polite and eager to assist.
I highly recommend it for families, as there are many activities for both children and adults, such as a water park, tennis lessons, swimming pools, and more.
I will definitely visit again.

An extremely beautiful part of Corfu, stunning location and the weather is perfect. The pools are clean and cool. Food is stunning and fresh everyday. First time in Greece and being a fussy eater I normally stick to what I know, I have tried local food and it is amazing apart from bacon, that's never the same as home though. Highly recommend to any family who doesn't want a really busy hotel and pools.

Shocking Service! +30min wait for drinks and 2 hours for food.
I’m writing my first hotel review because I’m shocked how this hotel has 5 stars and such good reviews after our experience. Management need to review as clearly they are under-staffed and not trained adequately. It’s the worst service we have ever had at a hotel. Just appalling!
Negatives:
• +30min wait for drinks at the bar on plus 5 occasions. Waiters and bar staff confused about orders, no system.
• +45min wait for a drink at table service
• 2 hour wait for mains at the Greek restaurant; kids only got their dinner at 9:30pm even though we asked for their food with the starters. After 3 hours they hadn’t brought our desert, we left at 10:40pm without desert.
• 10min wait at buffet for pancakes on 3 days
• Woken up at 7am by housekeeping making a noise
• House keeping didn’t stock fridge with water after day 1 and didn’t clean the first 3 days as we only left at 9:30am
• the kids club is a room that isn’t kept close and not a club!
• Many more negative points ……

Amazing location, however I think they may have underestimated how many staff is needed to keep a hotel like this running smoothly. Huge queues for breakfast and you have to request coffee at least 3 times, wait for cutlery when you finally get a table, then wait for bowls, milk and so on. Take your patience to breakfast with you ☺️. On the flip side water park area is great fun, beach bar and grill is perfect for cocktails. Spa area is super relaxing and I had THE BEST facial. Once you get past breakfast everything chills out and you never feel crowded... Not sure what it would be like in August though!!

Everything was good for us. Beach was good under the trees. Staff were very friendly. Alexandra in reception was very helpful. We would also like to thank Konstantine at the beach bar for the delicious cocktails she made.
Another point is The hotel was a perfect hotel for families with children. It was good for us in terms of peace of mind. If you are looking for action and entertainment, it may be a bit boring because it is generally a better hotel for families with children and the elderly.
As a result, we were very pleased with everything and we recommend it.

The hotel is set in a beautiful location, the staff are all friendly and always happy to help. I would like to mention a special thank you and recommendation to visit the Greek restaurant and Asian. Vilasis is such a lovely and very professional manager of the beach restaurant for lunches and the Asian, he really stood out from all the staff. Andreas was the manager at the upstairs restaurant and was also very nice. The Greek restaurant was amazing, and with such nice hosts it makes the experience memorable. The ladies at the omelette stand at breakfast are very nice and very quick and friendly. You must try the crepes and ice cream. Hats off to both the chefs a young man and the lady it was very hot, very busy, however, they gave quick service with a smile.
Ovi is the animation chief supervisor, he is very friendly and will happily offer to provide entertainment during the day. He offered to play volleyball and badminton and basketball, oh the list is long so anyone reading please just ask Ovi. You can take a free boat trip to the sister hotels. Also a visit to Corfu town is a must, one of the most beautiful unspoilt towns I have seen. You get dropped and picked up by the hotel shuttle for 10 euros.

Wonderful hotel in a beautiful setting. Just returned from a few nights stay in a fabulous bungalow. The bungalows are cleverly built into the steep bank down to a bay with a tree lined sandy beach. The view from our spacious balcony was breathtaking. The staff are so helpful and cheerful. A credit to the hotel. The food is excellent. Downside, the hotel is very family friendly. We caught half-term. I don't mind during the day but an adult only bar, say after 9pm would have been welcome. There nothing around the hotel. It's 15 euros into Guovia but there's not a lot there. So really it wasn't easy to escape the kindergarten. The hotel provides a twice daily shuttle into Corfu Town. Great holiday all the same, brilliant accomodation and fabulous food. What a lovely hotel! I really can’t recommend it enough, the location is stunning and well connected to corfu town. You can take the local bus or definitely recommend the hotel shuttle boat. The staff are all extremely helpful and accommodating. A shout out to Alexandra, Sara & Dimitri. Alexandra made our short trip a great stay, always happy to greet us and helped us secure as many trips and reservations; just being a friendly face. Sara and Dimitri were very attentive and offered a lot of advice when it came to ordering drinks. I’m not normally a fan of the all inclusive as I feel like the drinks and food lack, not here. Even the buffet food was tasty offering lots of lovely salads! My only “complaints” would be no butter just margarine and the bathrooms in the room could do with a revamp. I would say to pretty minor things!

Beautiful location and staff were wonderful and could not be more helpful. The rooms could do with a little updating, particularly the bathrooms, (our shower wasn't working when we arrived but maintenance were quick to rectify) but are clean and have everything you could need. We had a sea view balcony and the view was amazing. Food was good the whole week and I would particularly recommend booking the Tavernaki restaurant. It is a little way out of Corfu old town but we hired a car so this was not a problem for us and the resort has both a shuttle bus and boat to the old town several times daily. We would definitely stay again!

Disappointing Experience – Not Worthy of 5 star Fine Hotels & Resorts Status.
We booked a 3-night stay at Grecotel Caramel Boutique Resort in Crete through the American Express Fine Hotels + Resorts (FHR) program, expecting a premium, family-friendly experience. Unfortunately, the reality fell far short of the promise.
Pre-arrival communication was poor—the hotel never responded to multiple email inquiries about airport transportation. It took two international phone calls just to confirm a transfer, which ended up costing €120 each way for a one-hour ride. For a supposedly high-end property, this level of service was already concerning.
After a 20-hour journey from California, we arrived at 9 p.m., only to find that no restaurants were open and room service offered no kids’ menu—a major oversight for a resort marketed to families.
A significant issue was the lack of transparency and integrity regarding FHR benefits. Our booking was eligible for a €100 property credit and a $125 Amex FHR promotion for food and beverage with a 2+ night stay. The hotel refused to honor either credit, insisting that room-charged transportation didn’t qualify (despite being explicitly billed to our room). This contradicts both Amex’s terms and basic hospitality standards.
Breakfast was also disappointing. While there was a large spread, it consisted mostly of repetitive cold cuts and cheeses, with the hot food borderline inedible. Only the eggs and pastries were passable.
The air conditioning in our room did not work, which made sleeping uncomfortable. While the room itself was clean, there were no washcloths provided, an odd and inconvenient omission—guests are expected to bathe with hand towels.
Lastly, the location is remote, over an hour from key destinations like Chania and Knossos Palace, making it less than ideal for travelers wanting to explore the island.
In our experience—and in alignment with similar feedback from other disappointed guests—this hotel does not meet the standards of a 5-star resort or the Fine Hotels & Resorts program. Between the poor communication, unfulfilled benefits, mediocre food, and inconvenient location, I cannot recommend this property.

We arrived to this wonderful hotel fully expecting a 5 star experience and it delivered in every way! Location was superb. Staff were amazing. Food was fantastic. We were upgraded to a two story villa on the beach, which was a wonderful surprise. The pool is top notch and the aqua aerobics classes were super fun!

We had a wonderful time at the Grecotel Caramel Butique Resort. The rooms were clean and cosy. The private garden was a surprising and pleasant option to spend a spare time at the hotel. Although the weather at the beginning of May was not pampering, we could benefit from the advantages of the hotel.
Restaurants served delicious local meals in a nice athmosphere. The staff of the hotel was very kind, caring and helpful. With a great pleasure we will get back here.

Our stay in Crete was incredible. The resort is so picturesque. We even saw a couple getting married there, a true testament to how beautiful the backdrop is. Our room was spacious, luxurious, and spotless. The staff were incredibly warm, welcoming, and accommodating, making us feel well taken care of. The Olympic-sized pool was one of the nicest we’ve ever seen. The location couldn’t be better: beachfront, yet also within walking distance to several local restaurants. This resort is the perfect balance of luxury, comfort, and charm. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay!

Overall, we had a very pleasant stay at Amirandes Grecotel in Crete. The hotel is beautifully designed, well-maintained, and has a luxurious yet relaxed atmosphere. One of the absolute highlights was the service – all the staff were incredibly kind, helpful, and professional throughout our stay. Housekeeping was also excellent for the most part, although when we first checked in, we did notice some issues like hairs on the toilet seat and stains on the curtains, which was unpleasant. However, after reporting it, things were quickly resolved.
The rooms are stylish and generally very clean. The hotel is especially suitable for families with children – very family- and child-friendly. However, I wouldn’t recommend it as much for couples looking for romantic or lively evenings. There were no real evening entertainment programs except some light kids’ activities. Occasionally there was music, but it usually stopped around 22:20.
One of the downsides for me was the food. While the quality was good, I found the variety quite limited and the buffet often repetitive. As a Muslim guest, it was also challenging at times – food wasn’t always labeled clearly, so I didn’t know what kind of meat I was eating. At breakfast, for example, there weren’t separate pans used for different types of food, which made things a bit difficult for dietary restrictions. These small details made a big difference to me and slightly affected my overall experience.
Despite that, I would still recommend this hotel for families looking for a calm, relaxing environment. With some improvements in the dining experience – especially for guests with specific dietary needs – the hotel could truly reach an excellent level.

The food is amazing, offering a delicious variety of Greek cuisine—from the famous Greek salads to fresh seafood and flavorful kebabs. It’s a great choice for an off-season luxury escape with the family.

We booked this trip for our mini moon for a few days away after our wedding. And what can I say! What an amazing hotel! The staff are so friendly and can't do enough for you, from arrival to departure nothing was too much of a problem for them. The rooms absolutely stunning, we stayed in a family suite, rooms are spacious, welcoming and cleaned every day. The pools were child friendly with also the addition of adults only pools & beach areas. The food in the buffet style restaurant was 10 out 10, hot& fresh morning and evening. 100% would recommend for family's or even couples looking for a luxury get away. 100% will be returning

Very nice hotel with beautiful facilities and friendly service. The pools are great, the food is great, the location is awesome, the employees are friendly. Some areas need improvement: beaches get very crowded during the day. They try to find you a spot but sometimes you have to then share a single chaise. They remove people's stuff that is unattended for a while which is a good thing. But in one instance we were placed somewhere by the attendant and then the original people came back after a while and got mad at us for "taking their space". I don't need this kind of stress when I am on vacation and definitely not in this price range!
The breakfast service is also often very crowded, just not made to handle the amount of people. This is not the fault of any worker and everyone was super nice - it's more of a design limitation.
The buffet dinner was very good - the food quality and variety was just exceptional.
And absolutely every employee is fantastic and friendly from the moment you pull up the driveway.

"A hotel to live in" – and that’s exactly what we felt during our stay.
We had just come from another 5-star resort just 15 minutes away, but nothing compared to the hospitality, warmth, and truly 10-star service we experienced at Grecotel Corfu Imperial.
Every morning began with a breathtaking view of the sea from the breakfast balcony, accompanied by a buffet that showcased the very best of Greek cuisine. Our family suite was spacious and perfectly located in a dedicated family building, with a pool right outside our balcony – such a thoughtful convenience.
The entire resort feels like a serene, enchanted garden. As you stroll through, you’re surrounded by the scents of blooming local flowers that perfume every path. The on-site restaurants served exceptional flavors, and every meal felt special.
But what truly made our stay unforgettable was the staff – the heart and soul of the hotel. Every interaction was warm and genuine, and we always felt cared for like family. A special shout-out to Alexis and Leo, who went above and beyond every single day to make us and our kids feel like the center of the world.
Thank you, Grecotel, for memories we’ll cherish for a lifetime.

Wonderful hotel, fantastic location with amazing views. Very well kept resort and everything immaculate with pretty gardens. We had a bungalow room which had a shared pool and lovely sea views, it was a nice size and I liked being a short walk away from the main hotel. Beach very close to the hotel and nothing too far away. Ideal for families and older guests. Every single member of staff I encountered was helpful and friendly. They all go above and beyond. Food excellent and I didn’t think the drinks were expensive at all. Also a small supermarket onsite too. Gym was the best I’ve seen in a hotel so far. I hope to return one day.

The location is amazing with a beautiful beach perfect for relaxing. Breakfast was great with loads of options. The rooms and bathrooms could do with a bit of an update, but the amazing staff and gorgeous setting more than made up for it. Would definitely come back!

We had a fantastic stay at the hotel. The staff was very kind and always helpful. The cocktails are well made and the breakfast and dinner was very tasty. The sand is a bit coarse compared to other beaches we visited but still very enjoyable. The pools are filled with salt water which I enjoyed. I will definitely be returning in the future.

I love that the rooms are fairly sparse in that Greek way where you get what you need and nothing more. And those bathrooms were great. It was like a love shack. Then as you head out around the pool in that lovely pale blue surrounded by white and the green of the cactus and then out to the bay where the yachts are lined one after the other and the rustle of the wind, well, put simply, it is delightful and close to heaven. What a relaxing and fun time we had with kostas down by the beach getting us great day beds and watching the day go by with the lapping water feeling relaxed and easy and that there weren’t any concerns in the world - not for now. May this place remain the same - it’s been so great. Btw breakfast was excellent with wonderful vista. No complaints.

The place it’s very nice in a great location, the food is excellent, starting from the big variety offered for breakfast, the food offer at the pool and at the private beach and, of course in the restaurant at dinner. But what makes the real difference is the great service by a very attentive staff.
Even if there was an inconvenient we really enjoy our stay thanks to the assistance given to us.
Our welcome to the hotel was nothing but perfect thanks to Nikolas and his warming smile, his presence was always reassuring during our stay.

We had a wonderful stay at Mykonos Blu. The staff, especially NICHOLAS, were great. We travelled with 2 toddlers and everyone treated us and our kids like royalty. Some of the highlights were the lovely breakfast buffet overlooking the ocean and the kids ate free from the kids menu at all restaurants. The only thing I didn’t like was that the pools are not heated, and they are COLD. My kids enjoyed being in the pool, i didn’t.
Overall we loved our stay and grateful for Nicholas and the staff that made our trip memorable.

Lovely hotel. The staff are so friendly and can’t do enough for you. Our fault for not researching properly but I would not come again unless we had kids with us. There is no adults only pool and the screaming kids are a bit much when you don’t have your own! Very much a family resort with the classic mums getting up at 5am and taking all the sun beds also. Would look elsewhere if you’re a couple for the price.

This place was a perfect 10 out of 10. A rarity that I had never given to any place that I’ve ever stayed. Their customer service was exceptional. The rooms were great prices for the experience that we got out of stay. My only regret is that we didn’t stay here longer. But, will definitely be coming back and staying much longer next time. The rooms and area are stunning. 5 minute walk to the beach. About a 10 minute drive to the Temple of Poseidon which is highly recommended for sunset. They also arranged transportation to and from the temple. Super friendly and always greeted with a smile. I’ve traveled to many places and the customer service is top tier! It elevated our experience in Greece and our expectations for anywhere else. I did have a better review written. But, when I went to upload the photos of our stay, the page refreshed and lost everything I had originally written. I can’t wait to visit this place again and for longer. My partner & I are still shocked at how amazing it was.

Superb! We are a family of 4 and stayed in connecting rooms with a view of the Temple. The rooms and beds are comfortable and quiet. Our hostess at arrival, Artemis, was exceptional. She offered us drinks, introduced us to the resort, and booked transportation to see the sunset at the Temple of Poseidon (35 Euros and the driver waits for 1 hour). Our daughters enjoyed time at the pool and raved about the service. The food was excellent. Every aspect of the stay was perfect, and pictures do not do justice to the view!

The property is really nice with great architecture and beautiful landscaping. Views of the Temple are terrific especially at night.
The service is super friendly although at times, they feel that you need to be attended to 24/7, when a little less might be preferable.
The rooms are nice and large, and the bathrooms are modern luxury. For the price, they should have slightly better sheets/ blankets which seemed a bit thin.
The restaurant is a bit of a mixed bag. The food was generally good, not great. The salads at lunch were nice, fried potatoes delicious. Dinner was ok. Sushi lacked much flavor and the fish entrees were a bit over-sauced. Like the rest of the hotel, it feels like the ratio of staff to guests is a bit too high.
Overall, a nice experience but all a bit pricey.

Let's start with the good, the location is great, the room is big clean and new.
But..
The food was not good, I had high expectations from a 5 star hotel and I was very disappointed. The breakfast selection was small, the dinner was simply not good and expensive, we preferred to take a 15 min drive to the nearest town every day and eat our dinner there.
Another thing that disappoint me was the price, although in total I payed almost 700 euros a night, everything cost money, a lot of money. For example water at the beach.
The service was fine but when I needed something from the staff I didn't get the feeling they are really trying to help.
All in all considered, I would not recommend this hotel at the price point

History, Luxury, and Family Fun – Cape Sounio Has It All!
Cape Sounio exceeded all our expectations — it’s a truly exceptional resort in a breathtaking location. The view of the ancient Temple of Poseidon overlooking the Aegean Sea is absolutely stunning, especially at sunset. It’s a setting that combines history, nature, and luxury in the most beautiful way.
We stayed as a family and found the resort to be very family-friendly, with plenty of activities for kids that kept them engaged and happy. The beach was clean and well-maintained, with fun beach activities and a fantastic seawater pool that we all enjoyed.
Dining was a real highlight. The buffet was outstanding — high quality, fresh, and incredibly diverse with something delicious for everyone. Breakfasts were equally impressive: varied, flavorful, and beautifully presented.
Service throughout the resort was excellent. There was a lot of staff and they were consistently helpful, friendly, and attentive, making us feel truly welcome. Our accommodation was spacious, comfortable, and very well kept, adding to the relaxing atmosphere of our stay.
We highly recommend Cape Sounio, especially for families looking for a mix of relaxation, culture, and great hospitality. We definitely plan to return!
