We have just arrived home after spending a splendid week at the grand oasis. Take absolutely zero notice of previous bad reviews because they are nonsense. On arrival we were greeted and escorted to check in. It was very quick checking in and we were directed to our rooms which was a long walk as this hotel is a vast complex it's not just a hotel and restaurant. Our room was on the 6th floor and we had an ocean View which was lovely. The room itself was clean and although it wasn't huge it was easily large enough for two people especially due to the fact that there is so much entertainment within the complex there is no need to spend any time in the room other than what you would normally do in a bedroom. The elevators are very entertaining as they have a mind of their own but you do get to your correct floor eventually. Our room was refreshed daily however the only minus point was coffee not replaced but if you ask that reception they would supply coffee or slip a cleaner $1 and you can have coffee. Coffee machine work lovely and also an ironing board and iron were supplied. The air conditioning works extremely well and is quiet. If there is more than one person staying allow the toilet 10 minutes to fill up with water otherwise it doesn't flush. We had the all-inclusive blue band which is standard and doesn't allow you entry to gourmet restaurants we knew this in advance however if you want to upgrade it is very simple to do so but everybody we spoke to who had upgraded commented that it wasn't worth the upgrade as the buffet restaurant included with the blue band was suitable. We dying in the Tatish buffet restaurant regularly and found the food very varied and of a good standard for such a high turnover of customers. Some of the food in the restaurant isn't always hot but what can you expect when they're feeding 500 covers per hour. The whole complex is very well run and all and I repeat all of the staff whatever their job is were extremely friendly very helpful and always available for any advice. This complex caters for all ages from one week old to 188 years old. Basically if you don't like the entertainment in one part of the hotel go somewhere else in the hotel. The grand oasis is located directly on the beach which is of top quality and there is always lifeguards on duty as the Caribbean Sea can be a little choppy. Smoking is permitted within the hotel we just recommend if you are a smoker be polite and respectful of those who aren't. There are quite a lot of birds on this site which include beautiful peacocks and pea hens doves and white ibis be mindful of the fact that if you do use the outside dining these birds are likely to jump on the table and eat your food from your hand you only have to wave them away and they are gone. Everywhere you walk within this massive complex there is somewhere to eat and a bar even in the swimming pool you can get a drink while you are swimming. So in summary from a couple that have had many holidays in many different countries and hotels this is one of the very best we have ever been to. We would be delighted to return however the only reason we won't is because we live in England and Cancun is halfway around the world for us. This is true and honest review from very satisfied customers.

Moral of the story: Save your money and save your time.
Worst experience ever. 100% DO NOT RECOMMEND. No amount of money is worth it. Unclean. Unkept. Untidy. UNSAFE. Extremely old building. Telephone broken in room. AC unit not working and words in Chinese. The drain in the bathtub was clogged and created a large pool of water during use. Nothing was fixed until about 3 days into our vacation. Housekeeping picked and chose what days THEY want to clean rather than daily. Only water restocked in the fridge every other day. Never received any new washcloths or towels until I went hunting for some in the morning which they were hesitant to give me. I called for room service on day 4 after they finally fixed our phone and requested 2 cokes. When they came to my room, I was charged $22 dollars! The drinks from the bars and restaurants were all gross and watered down to the point we had to go to the store outside of the hotel and only ask the hotel for cups of ice to use our own drinks. The ice cream places were gross and tasted like gas. The place overall sucks and we just stopped wasting our time and got ready everything morning to leave and go on our own adventures. DEFINITELY NOT AN ALL INCLUSIVE RESORT. NEVER have I ever left an all inclusive resort in the past unless for excursions. I could write a book. Moral of the story: Save your money and save your time.

I would like to add to my previous review that both my fiance and my credit card information was stolen while on this trip.
Talk about adding insult to injury.
To begin with, this hotel was selected for us as a part of a package so it was not necessarily our first choice.
Upon arrival, we were given a blue wristband and we did not have the experience or the knowledge to understand the limits of this wristband when we heard all-inclusive we thought it meant all-inclusive.
We were wrong. A few days later we were able to upgrade our wristband which was $50 a day per person and due to a scheduling issue we had to pay for an extra day that we were not going to be there and they would not give that money back.
Once we upgraded The wristband things were better. However, the staff there all seem pretty miserable and to be honest I saw this already in a review and we went anyway so I guess you could say we knew better.
There was some good stuff there like this swim up bar bartender. He was very nice. We did pay extra for a romantic Valentine's Day dinner that was pretty bad and all of their house alcohol is terrible. For a good tip a bartender may be able to slip you something a little better, but don't count on it.
I didn't hate this trip. I actually got engaged on this trip so not a total loss but I will not be back.

I wanted to add details about my trip.
it was supposed to be quiet time for my husband and I.
our shower never worked it was hot or it was cold the bathroom door didn't shut there was a leak in the bathroom that dripped
we did call maintenance they fixed the drip and the bathroom door but the shower was always hot or cold never in between.
we were there for an all-inclusive, there were a couple of restaurants we had to pay for to enjoy that weren't included.
one was the ice cream shop gelato and me
we were literally asked to leave because our arm wristband wasn't the right color, when we checked in we were told we could pay for it and we intended to pay for it but the girl in there rudely told us she was not going to serve us.
completely humiliating and embarrassing.
we went down to the concierge service and talked to Diego He did give us a different color wristband and told the ice cream shop girl to serve us.
but the damage and the embarrassment was already done.
we were also kicked out of a restaurant because my husband was wearing a tank top which was disgusting since there are women in there wearing bikinis with their boobs and butts hanging out.
we participated in the pitch to buy into a vacation for there. truly glad we did not sign up. we basically did it so that we could go see the Mayan temple at a cheaper price. which to be honest it wasn't a cheaper price because when we got on the bus we had to pay another $40. each. I feel like it was all a scam to take as much money from us as possible.
Don't get me wrong I was there to spend money and had money to spend but to be cheated and robbed was not part of my deal.
on top of all the hardships inside the hotel ,restaurants and ice cream shops .
The day we spent on the beach we watched and witnessed somebody drowned and die. Also not a good time.

We booked 11 days here for a get away. It was a total waste of money and absolutely filthy!
Cleaning-
The sheets were all stained up, sand all over the room including in the tub, fake nails were on the night table,the closet was filled with dust. I can say they have never cleaned by the night stands or under the bed with the amount of dust and sand before we arrived.
The rooms were so small we couldn't even move. They put us on the loudest side of the hotel after being told we would have ocean view...you only get that if you upgrade again. Do not buy into the all inclusive package because it is nothing to what it says. One other family we spoke with was so upset they booked 2 weeks had to upgrade from the party side to the ocean the doors don't lock or even close, they had access to only 2 restaurants.
No housekeeping was done even though we had the request on the door. We had to ask 3 times for a cot. By day 2 we wanted to leave. The package was supposed to include restaurants we got one buffet which was good until day 6 of the same food.
People drunk yelling in the hallway fighting at 2 am. Toilets overflowing into the halls so we could enjoy the sewage smell on the same floor.
After speaking to the manager about the cockroach problem we had assured us someone would be up to clean. A man came to the door with a can of raid! No apology for any of the concerns brought up. So yup we get to go back from our trip and have everything we brought properly sanitized so our home isnt infested.

I had a wonderful time at the resort, staying for a week in mid February. The food was excellent, and the service received from every staff member was wonderful. I’ll definitely be considering returning for my next winter escape.
I’d encourage the resort to add some additional signage on-site, as it was hard to identify some of the pool and restaurants, but otherwise no real complaints. Entertainment was thoughtful and varied, and you can tell the hotel team cares about their guests’ experience. The cleaning crew also kept everything tidy and refreshed in a timely manner.
A highlight of the trip was my time at the tennis courts. I took several private and a free group lessons with their wonderful pro on-site, Jose Alfredo Alvarez. He was extremely patient and thorough with his instruction, helping me to improve several aspects of my game play. The courts are well maintained and it’s easy to set up sessions directly at the tennis office on-site.
Afterwards the gym served as a nice add on workout and conditioning after playing, also well maintained and stocked with a variety of machines, free weights and cardio machines.

My friend and I booked a Thursday–Monday stay advertised as Adults Only, All-Inclusive through a third-party platform, but upon arrival we were placed in a family section with children throughout the property. When we addressed this the next day, the front desk stated the adults-only section was overbooked and implied we may have misread our reservation, despite our confirmation clearly stating “Adults Only.” There was no apology and no attempt to check availability or offer accommodation. Dining was another issue — upon arrival Thursday afternoon we were told all restaurants required reservations that cannot be made in advance, and everything was fully booked, forcing us to eat at the buffet Thursday and Friday despite multiple restaurants on-site. The buffet food was okay but fairly bland with limited variety; however, the waiters there were kind and attentive. The 24-hour sports bar was severely understaffed (only two staff members covering a large space), and we were told simple appetizers like fries or mozzarella sticks would take 30–45 minutes, which felt unreasonable; drinks were decent but nothing memorable. The overall atmosphere felt restrictive — the pool bar closed at 5 PM, the pool officially closed around 8 PM but staff began cleaning around 7 PM and staring guests down to leave, and there were no real evening activities or entertainment included. Transportation policies were also inconvenient: Uber is not allowed, outside taxis cannot enter the property, and drivers must wait beyond the resort entrance while the resort pushes its own significantly more expensive transportation. Staff at the entrance frequently asked where we were going, who we were going with, and where we were coming from when returning, which felt intrusive and uncomfortable. The layout of the property was confusing (our room 1275 had misleading hallway signage directing left when it was actually to the right), and we noticed there were no visible security cameras in the stairwells or hallways leading to guest rooms, particularly in isolated corner areas, which did not feel reassuring. Due to the booking discrepancy, lack of flexibility, and overall experience not aligning with what was advertised, we chose to check out early Saturday morning and transfer to another resort. While the property itself is visually nice, the experience did not reflect a true adults-only all-inclusive stay. It’s very unfortunate because we were looking forward to spending our time at this resort.

Beautiful resort. Super friendly staff. Great food- honestly I had very little to complain about during my stay (Christmas’25). Only three notes
1. As a solo traveler, this resort is overly family friendly. Late nigh entertainment, music and activities are all scaled down because of this in my opinion.
2. The resort is extremely long, lots of walking required but very easy to navigate
3. The beach has some damage due the to strong current slamming against the property and you’ll find random sandbags and rocks everywhere. Still a gorgeous place to relax- grab a snorkel from the rental (it’s free!) and take a dive an a calm day.
Overall 9/10. So many memories made and I can’t wait to be back

We had an amazing stay at Grand Sunset Princess. The room was not what we were suppose to have, we had two double bed instead of one King bed. Thats the reason for the 4 stars. The restaurants were not what we expected, the food was not so fresh. Very fast serving. On the opposite The Snack sunset was good, not too much people and the waiter Lorenzo was amazing, great service. The service all around the resort was good, smiling people and always ready to help of looking for something. The location is good, right to the beach. There is a lot of rocks when walking to further, do not expect a big sandy beach. We didnt mind, so it was okay.

Pros: rooms are updated nicely. Cleaning staff are amazing. Basketball and tennis court. Lots of pool space. Good New Year’s Eve party. The man in the tennis court was nice. Gym is the best I’ve ever seen at a resort.
Cons: service is bad. Staff are lazy. I asked one for coffee at the bar, he told me to ask someone else (when nobody else was there) then he went to the back to grab someone but he ended up making it anyway… also at Brazilian steakhouse, the male server with glasses never came to our table with the meats so I had to ask another server to bring us food as we had no meat for first 20 min. The hostess was also very sassy at the Brazilian steakhouse.
Back at the Brazilian steakhouse for lunch, we noticed a family get asked if they want coffee after their meal and they were very attentive but for us they never asked. When I asked for some water, the server told me to wait till she is done putting utensils down at empty tables.
Overall the service for a 5 star is lacking and I wouldn’t recommend this place. The beach area is also very tiny

First, I’d like to say that I’m a little confused by the number of poor reviews this resort has received. Let’s start with the service: the staff are exceptional—exceptionally polite, accommodating, warm, friendly, and genuinely eager to make guests happy.
The rooms are very nice. It’s not the Majestic, folks, but the amenities, bed quality, shower, and cleanliness were all very good. The minibar was restocked regularly, and there was only one day when my room wasn’t cleaned. Otherwise, it was spotless, with thoughtful touches like neatly folded bedding, replenished toiletries and towels, and attention to detail.
The food was good overall. The Italian and steak restaurants exceeded expectations, both in food quality and service. The Mexican restaurant had just changed its menu during our visit, so the server was understandably a bit confused. Service was slow, and honestly, the food wasn’t great—but the staff’s effort helped us overlook that one experience. The special dinners in the Preferred area, as well as the Oceania restaurant during the day, were very nice. The Asian fusion restaurant was also excellent.
That said, on our fifth day I came down with a pretty bad case of food poisoning, possibly from the pork wrap at the beach grill or the hot buffet in the Preferred Lounge. I’m an adventurous eater (ceviche, seafood, etc.) so I partly blame myself but we didn’t eat off-resort.
The resort itself is a bit older and shows some wear in areas like the Core Zone (kids’ club), theater, sports bar/club, and a few other spots. However, it performs very well for its price range.
A couple of things worth mentioning: I was on the first floor on the pool/ocean side, and it was exceptionally noisy at night due to weddings happening almost every evening. The AC barely drowned out the noise, though things generally quieted down around 11 p.m. In the mornings the staff are out early so I was often awake by 6AM (banging of karts in the hallways) but it was usually to know when to go grab a few beach chairs.
There were also a lot—and I mean a lot—of small kids: babies, toddlers, and children under eight. I was traveling with my nephews, so we expected kids, but the sheer number made it harder to relax or enjoy the pool at times. You could opt for an adults-only resort, of course. But it’s worth mentioning that I’ve been to many all-inclusive resorts in Mexico and Punta Cana (DR), and this was by far the most kid-heavy resort I’ve experienced.
On the plus side, it’s a small resort, which makes getting around easy. The Preferred areas and perks are nice, though they may not be worth the extra $900+ CAD.
There also really isn’t much of a beach. There is one, but it’s artificial and located on a lagoon. If you’re looking for the soft, white Caribbean sand, you won’t find it here or nearby. However, the resort is within a gated community, and being able to wander the marina, explore local restaurants and shops, and watch the dolphins was fantastic.
In summary, this is a solid 4/5 resort for service, location, size, and amenities.

The preferred area and experience was lovely and we felt taken care of! Paulina was lovely for our check in and out! Breakfast in the preferred Oceana was delicious - Teresita and Ella were so attentive and always remembered us and made the experience so lovely.
The beach is great, there's a rock wall that keeps sea weed out and you can walk into the water for a while with shallow clean water. the sand and beach is clean and well maintained.
Jorge at the preferred bar at the beach was attentive and so personable! The cabanas are also a great way to spend the day and we enjoyed the natural pool with fish and steps into the water! Karen was also very attentive and gave great service. The beach cafe had good options for us to enjoy a healthy lunch and snacks. We did one lunch at the buffet and there were decent options!
The lobby & most restaurants were open air so in the evening it can get quite cool with the breeze! The live music in the lobby was fun, just not a lot of seating! The dinner spots were delicious and the staff were so attentive and personable! Service was good especially considering there were a lot of tables always full. Willian, the sommelier was incredible. Always going above and beyond for us & making sure we were taken care of no matter where we were on the resort. He made the week extra special and we were so thank fun for his level of attention.
The room was clean and had a couple snacks. Water / drinks / snacks were always refilled and it felt very clean. if the towels weren't replaced, they were quick to bring more when we called. The room could use a little attention on wear and tear, but mostly was very nice.
we were on the top (7th) floor and the view was exceptional! Love having the bathrobes and slippers too. we burned the incense they left everyday too!
its a small resort, doesn't feel too over run with kids, but definitely a safe place to let kids do their own thing!
we enjoyed the desires club a couple times for dancing and karaoke, and the lobby area for playing cards and dancing / listening to live music.
Overall, very pleased and had a lovely vacation!
Also, loved the playa Aventuras area- we rented golf carts and roamed the area one day. we also walked the marina, checked out the local market, watched the dolphins play in their pool, golfed, checked out some local shops and walked all over! its super safe, everyone we came across was pleasant and helpful, and the view is gorgeous.

I booked this trip spontaneously for a three night stay and I paid for the junior room with a tropical view. Check in time was 3 PM, but by 1 PM my room was ready which was great and they also treat you as a guest from the minute you enter the property.
My room was clean and the housekeeping/service was very consistent and detail oriented as they would fold miscellaneous clothes and clean up phone charger cables very creatively.
The pools are nicely built and appear pretty clean and when I was at the resort, it wasn't too busy so I didn't have any problems finding my own space on the pool deck. The beach is nice looking, but is often very dirty and nobody really swims inside of it.
The highlight of my trip may have been the spa as the services were amazing and it's very nice looking which was relaxing and a one of a kind experience.
Just like most parts of Mexico, the food was amazing and I had zero complaints especially with the buffet option.
I'd say this resort maintains its five star resort title well.

Honest review. I am only giving this hotel 2 starts because the service was good the view was beautiful and the room was nice. But none of that is worth it when the lights go out 2 to 5 times a day it was so dark one time I couldn't see my baby standing right in front of me. Thank god she was off playing at any other distance. And thank goodness our grandparents were on the first floor because elevators were out. The water also went out during our stay there. The food in my opinion is not worth it. Very cheap very poorly made we did like the Italian restaurants it was pretty good. Kids club is not secure enough for my liking. And if you have kids I would not recommend getting the preferred package because they don't allow kids in the pool bar area which is where most of our family was so we could not join them.

It's somewhere between a 3.5 to a 4 star for us.
We chose this hotel for hosting our wedding group based on proximity to an offsite wedding venue.
Preferred club is a must. I drink aperol spritz, and the premixed "spritz" they offer on non-preferred club bars is honestly disgusting. They ran out of aperol for 2 days which was disappointing since it's the only thing I drink.
What they do well :
- Amazing for families. So many activities, engaging experiences for kids.
- Coffee is pretty good. I liked the coffee bar on the main floor.
- The disco is fun (after a few drinks especially hahah)
- The town of Puerto Aventuras is a cool novelty experience for guests who may not have wandered off resort otherwise. Rent a golf cart and go around the area, it's fun to explore.
- The layout of the hotel is really good. Perfect size especially if you're with a large group. You can see all your people quite often.
- Really a lot of choices for experiences at the resort. Waterslides are fun for adults and children. Barracuda bar with swings was super cool.
- My guests in general seemed happy with the resort.
- Dining experiences like the dining on the beach was super special.
Cons :
- Employee who was working at the hostess stand at Mexican restaurant on December 9 had an appalling attitude.
The experience at this restaurant was very poor.
- They call themselves pet friendly, but the pet is not allowed basically anywhere. In addition to that, the policies of not allowing the pet to be in the room for cleaning makes sense, but that meant we only had our room serviced 2 times. Based on this, it's actually reducing the amount of service you get significantly. So explain to me how $65 USD a day makes sense for having a pet in your room? Which reduces the service you can even get? Most hotels pet fee is $50-$75 per stay, which would be more sensible. This is just simply not a pet friendly experience. They allow the pet to be there in the room, but that's about it.
- The day of our wedding we were leaving the resort for multiple hours with our pet so we asked to have the room cleaned that day, which didn't happen.
- We stayed over 1 week, so I thought it was sensible that on the day they finally came to clean the room, I asked for the sheets to be changed. I left a large tip in anticipation of a clean room with fresh sheets. That didn't happen.
- Multiple times before my sister arrived I asked to verify that her room would have a baby crib in it when they arrived. I was told for Sure no worries it will be there. They were arriving late after a long travel day, and I didn't want to have any delays. It was not there upon arrival even tho I had confirmed multiple times.
Unrelated to the resort, but If you're flying with Westjet or an airline that includes nexus tours for your transportation, I suggest you upgrade to a private shuttle or don't use that option. The guests who used the nexus tours option were left waiting at the airport on arrival for multiple hours before even beginning the long drive to the hotel.
On the week of our trip, there was a lot of mosquitoes, so I recommend bringing bug spray.
Even though there are some shortfalls, I would likely stay here again if the price was reasonable.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time this past week at Dreams Sapphire. We were a little bit hesitant after reviews and recent photos right before our trip, but were very happy to see that the beach is lovely and that the food is very good. Andy at the beach made our entire trip, every morning welcoming us, remembering our names and even drink orders and preferences! He is outstanding and very hard working. Eduardo at the seaside grill was excellent every lunch we had, always providing best recommendations (the shrimp tacos!) and taking allergies very seriously (peanuts). We loved the Italian restaurant, all service was excellent there and the food is just as good as a nice restaurant back home in Canada where we are from. Overall, worth it for us and a well needed reset.

Staff were excellent to deal with, all very pleasant and happy. Pool area was great, although the music could at times be a little too loud.
Beach was nice, but a lot of seaweed. They do clean it every morning but the water wasn’t as clear as I was expecting, though I know this is out of the control of the resort.
Food was all good, nothing spectacular but certainly good.
Restaurants are first come first serve which can sometimes lead to a 1-2 hr wait list time.
A lot of children and families were there during our stay so definitely a family friendly place if that’s something you’re looking for.
Only complaint is our room didn’t get cleaned until 4:30 pm or later daily which was generally the time we were coming back to the room to relax/shower for dinner
Overall we had a great week and we miss Mexico so much!!

This was our eighth All Inclusive in the Mayan Riviera. We were very pleasantly surprised with our stay. We have historically gone a tier up in star and price point. While the resort condition was understandably not as new or manicured, we enjoyed the experience just as much as our other hotels.
The food was good, drinks tasty. With only one exception, staff were caring and considerate.
The beach was large and nicely swimmable. They do experience the sargassum issues that all Mayan Riviera hotels unfortunately experience but I felt they kept on top of it well. If that will bother you, I suggest doing your research and picking a different destination entirely.
Our teenagers were well entertained and we felt that they were safe roaming about together.
I would say it is a mid-size resort. Enough to walk around to and see but not overly cramped. If you have mobility issues, preferred buildings 1 or 2 or regular buildings 12 or 13 would be best.
One note: we came the first week of January after school was back in session. The resort seemed to have low occupancy but despite that, sun loungers were hard to come by later in the day. Families play the reservation game, putting towels out early and only occupying them for a portion of the day. One family were tying up loungers in two locations and going back and forth. We are early risers so it wasn't an issue for us once we realized what was tolerated but I would imagine this would be frustrating for late sleepers. We certainly didn't feel great about doing it either but it seemed to be the only option, sadly.
I would strongly consider coming back to this resort for a longer stay over our usual 7 days at a premium resort for the same price. They do a wonderful job!

We had a great time here. We came here hoping for better ocean than the Dreams Natura we went to last year. The ocean here is much better than Dreams Natura. It isn't the crystal clear ocean as you see on some beaches but it was good. Occasionally the pool would feel quite cold but overall I didn't find it too bad. Service was amazing, this is a common theme I have found at all Dreams locations. Felix the server on the beach was excellent as well as Carlos in the Sports Bar. There were so many other fantastic servers as well and they were all so friendly.

Was super excited for this stay as I was gifted a hyatt guest of honor. Right away Check-in was frustrating . We were brought to a front desk station that looked like the “priority” spot (it even had a special mat), stood there for ~15 minutes, then the agent looked up and rudely told us we weren’t in line and needed to “get in line” after a huge line formed after. Later learned there was a separate area entirely for priority check in.
From there it was constant confusion and upsells. Guest of Honor benefits were not linked to my reservation despite multiple emails and chats in advance to confirm. At the spa, they pitched a “free” hydrospa session like it was some special deal, only for us to learn we were already entitled to it because of our status.
We were there during the week after Christmas so it was busy. They don’t take reservations for restaurants and most had a 1.5-2 hr wait each night. So you either had to be first in line at 6pm or not eat until 8:30/9.
The most upsetting part: we witnessed a serious medical emergency in the main pool on day 1 where a man sadly passed away. We heard loud screams and My fiancé ran to help get the man out of the water. Staff seemed unprepared, there was zero crowd control or privacy, music kept blasting, and an acrobatic performance began during this at the same pool. It took quite a while for ambulance to arrive. Ive never experienced anything like it. My heart goes out to that family. I seriously can’t stop thinking about it.
I’ve also been trying for 3+ weeks to resolve missing points from the spend we had there and address the stay issues, and the hotel simply won’t respond despite my attempts being escalated to executive leadership.
That being said…there were several staff that went above and beyond. Especially Israel at the rooftop pool and Ivan at the buffet.

We stayed at Platinum Yucatán Princess for our honeymoon and were extremely disappointed with the overall experience.
Prior to arrival, we emailed multiple times about the advertised honeymoon package and never received a response, meaning we were unable to avail of anything at check-in. The check-in process itself felt rushed and impersonal — no welcome drink, minimal explanation of amenities, and we were placed in one of the furthest buildings from the beach and restaurants.
Our room had a strong musty smell on arrival and showed visible wear and tear (rust marks on the floor, stained bathtub we couldn’t use, rusty bin, loose fixtures). While housekeeping provided fresh towels daily and the bed was comfortable, the room did not reflect a 5-star standard.
Food was average but repetitive, and restaurant reservations are not available. We queued most mornings for the self-service breakfast buffet despite empty tables inside. Valentine’s Day menus and certain seating areas required additional payment, which felt misleading at an “all-inclusive” resort.
Cocktails are made using pre-mixed ingredients and were very poor unless you specifically instructed bartenders and requested premium liquor. For a resort in Mexico, the margaritas were particularly disappointing.
The pools were clean and landscaping is nice, but the beach is narrow, rocky (water shoes needed), and seaweed buildup was heavy at times. We were also surprised to see children on the beach despite this being marketed as adults-only.
For the price point and reputation, this was not a luxury honeymoon experience and we would not return.

Important Note: If you are booking a Junior Deluxe Suite as a couple, it is strongly recommended to contact the hotel in advance and specifically request a king bed. Otherwise, they tend to default to two double beds unless this is clearly communicated prior to check-in.
Food: The buffet offerings are average in quality and often not served hot. However, the a la carte restaurants are a highlight, with good food and a much better dining experience overall. Their room service foods are pretty good too.
Rooms & Service: The rooms are comfortable, drinks are decent (except that the drinks are not measured using jiggers so the taste differs all time). The staff are friendly and welcoming, and the resort offers enjoyable activities throughout the day.
Beach: The beach directly at this resort is disappointing due to a significant amount of seaweed. To enjoy a better beach experience, you need to walk over to the Grand Sunset side.
Overall: A decent resort with good service, rooms, and restaurants, but with room for improvement in buffet quality, cocktail jiggers for drinks and beach conditions.

I had great weather during my stay, but my first night (Dec. 31) was awful. I arrived at the hotel late 10pm, had to get a burger and quickly de-plane so I can enjoy the NYE celebrations, which strangely was a "rock" theme. At any rate, once I returned to my room I noticed a foul odour. It smelled of wet, mould. Turns out- it was the bed! I returned to my room after midnight, so I didn't think any remedy was available to me NYE after midnight, so I had to suffer through the smelliest bed linens I've ever experienced AT A "FIVE STAR HOTEL".
Unacceptable. I did not sleep at all. It was a horrible first night. The smell was foul.
The next day I informed the concierge, and by the afternoon, they had remedied the issue- or at least replaced the foul linens (thankfully it wasn't the mattress) and perfumed the room. Ok. But this type of thing should simply not occur.
Be warned, I am not the only one who experienced this problem. I am fluent in Spanish and I overheard the concierge tell a housekeeper to look into another room with the same problem. Clearly there is a quality control issue here. While, yes, they do make it right, I still suffered a horrible night stay.
The rest of my stay was good. The staff at the buffet was friendly, the bartenders were nice. The entertainment was very impressive. They do a good job of showcasing latin culture and Mexican culture, which I very much appreciate.
The concierge, Fernanda, did a nice gesture for me and left a bottle of prosecco in my room on the 3rd night. While appreciated, it still does not make up for a horrible night of sleep. Be warned.

We have just returned. Some of the team were excellent Pierro sales of Coco Bongo tickets and generally funny snd friendly round our pool. Luna and Marr from the entertainment team were amazing and actually made the holiday night and day.
Restaurant teams were a big hit and miss. Beach bar great food and friendly service. Watch out for the little furry animals as we’re a little vicious when it came to wanting your lunch. The sushi restaurant stood out the most for us. Great food and live cooking.
The hotel was clean.
Take trousers. They have a rule of long trousers for men. Seems a bit silly in such heat and also women can wear shorts.
Also some of the waiters specifically in the steak restaurant didn’t want to take our booking unless we paid extra for wine. We did complain and it was sorted by the manager but still a little out of order.
Over all a great holiday made by the pool and entertainment team.

There is Construction noise everyday. They will not warn you at the time of booking. In January is was morning to evening Jack hammering. Especially loud by the beach or the quiet pool.
Staff - Individually are kind, but on a whole there is a Very strong current of frustration and anger which means they are apathetic and just don't care. Therefore, will not help, will ignore. I heard not my job sooo many times or try and pass you off to someone else.
Facilities - Are very worn and have not been maintained. Generally the place is dirty. The rooms are wiped down but not cleaned. You know this because the bottom of your slippers a black when they started out white. You need to wear shoes in the shower because of mold. I fell like this is coming from management as an attempt to 'save" rather than effort from the cleaning staff.
Re cleaning staff, a Housekeeping Supervisor will knock on your door every or every other morning to inspect your room. Not to check if it is clean but to see if You have maintained it. So take pictures at the beginning because they will try and charge your for every scuff on the floor, makeup mark, furniture moved etc.
Front desk / Concierge - Warning they are hostile and will not assist you if there is a challenge. Also, if you arrive at the hotel outside of main hours 10 to 4pm, you will not be welcomed, assisted, given resort information (this is big because they will constantly surprise you with changes, cut offs, and random charges).

Mario is such a breath of fresh air. Wonderful concierge Felix is the best bartender in Mexico. His Key Lime martini is the best I've ever had and his French 75 martini is a close second to the Key Lime and his margaritas topped with Grand Manrier is top tier. He is so friendly, too. We come back year after year just to see Yoe. Her smile and excited greetings every morning is the perfect way to start every day. Abraham, Eli, Stephanie, and Elvis are such wonderful additions to the staff. We felt safe and well cared for every day. We were happy to see the chair policy updates, if the lounge chair is unoccupied for 30 minutes, a staff come and safe keep the belongings hut make the lounge chair available for beach goers. We will be back next year! Thank you for another amazing stay!

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay here! It’s a nice mid-sized hotel right on the beach. We got a suite and the room was very spacious. We liked that it had a big refrigerator to store left overs and drinks. Our bed was very comfortable! Our kids slept on the pull out sofa in the other room. The mattress was particularly uncomfortable, which isn’t so surprising since all sofa beds are sort of like that. Also, they are kids and I remember plenty of sleepovers on the floor growing up, so they aren’t picky, but wanted to call it out because even they thought it wasn’t comfy. I added a blanket as a layer between them and the springs and it was fine.
We enjoyed the breakfast at the hotel! I wish I could remember the name of the woman that checked us in, but I really liked her (she had glasses and maybe some tattoos?). Anyway, she was great and a friendly face that would check in on us and asked us about our trip. Shout out to her!
The only reason that I took a star off is due to the beds on the beach. My family and I went to the beach around 9:30/10:00. It wasn’t crowded at all and there was a whole row of about 6 chairs that were empty. Most had towels on them, but no one was around, so I figured they must have been from the day before and we sat down. My family went in the water and I sat and read my book for about 20 minutes. I then got up to check on my family and take some photos. When I got back to the chair where I had been sitting, and where all of our stuff was, I was confronted by another guest who said that I was sitting in his chair. He said he had put towels down at 7:00am on 4 chairs and I needed to move my stuff because they were his. I had been there at this point for at least a half hour and hadn’t seen him at all. I was confused, but then another guest told me he had a similar interact with a different guest the day before. Apparently people put down a towel at 7:00am and then it’s theirs for the whole day whether they are using it or not. This is frustrating/confusing for guests that don’t do this because there is no where to sit on the beach then if you show up any time after 8:00am as they all have towels on them. It would be great if staff could figure out a way to better monitor this so these chairs don’t go unused for hours at a time when someone else could use them. While this was an interaction with another guest (no issues with the staff), it just bummed me out. We ended up getting my family out of the water and we headed back to our room since there were no other chairs without towels (plenty of them without people on them). Anyway, just wanted to give this feedback!

Some places are beautiful. Others are welcoming. And then there are rare places that feel like they meet you exactly where you are — The Fives Oceanfront Boutique Hotel is one of those places.
From the moment we arrived, there was an unmistakable warmth in the air. We weren’t just checked in — we were received. Erika, our ambassador, greeted us with such genuine joy and care that we instantly felt at home. Her kindness went far beyond what anyone would expect. On her day off, she even went out of her way to help me try to find distilled water. That single act perfectly captures the spirit of this hotel: thoughtful, human, and deeply caring.
One of the most meaningful parts of my stay was the Joy & Wellness program. These were not simply activities to fill time — they were soulful, creative, and rooted in culture. Each class offered a deeper understanding of Mexico, its traditions, and its artistry. Gustavo, the Joy & Wellness Program Coordinator, led with intention, kindness, and a true love for sharing his culture. I found myself taking notes throughout the week, inspired to keep learning even after returning home. His presence turned each experience into something lasting.
Music wove its way gently through my stay and became part of the memory. I was introduced to artists like Natalia Lafourcade, Lila Downs, and Luis Miguel, and I’ve since created a playlist that brings me right back — ocean air, warm evenings, and a sense of peace that’s hard to describe but easy to feel.
The care extended through every corner of the hotel. The staff were exceptional — not just professional, but sincerely kind:

• Joseph and Lorenzo, whose service stood out
• Ian, the ever-attentive beach waiter
• Fernando at the rooftop bar, who made the most wonderful mimosas
• Cynthia and Leo at the front desk, who made both check-in and check-out seamless with their calm organization
• Eli, who was incredibly helpful
• And Alex, another ambassador, whose genuine concern for my aunt — who was traveling with me and had a sore arm — was deeply touching
My only regret is not remembering all the other staff names that I had interaction with. Every single waiter, bus person, bartender, or towel attendant were so kind and genuine.
Every interaction felt personal. Every smile felt real.
The Fives Oceanfront Boutique Hotel is more than a place to stay — it’s a place that values connection, wellness, culture, and care. I left feeling restored, inspired, and grateful, carrying pieces of this experience with me long after the journey ended.
This is a place I will remember — and one I hope to return to.

My family's 5-day stay here has been an absolutely amazing time! We really enjoyed the variety of dining and bar options, and the wonderful service of all the extremely hardworking staff here. The rooms have personal jacuzzis, which is really cool. Dolma and Pelicanos are must-tries if you come visit!
Special shoutout to our new friend and one of the Entertainment Team members here, Aranza; we did quite a few activities with her and she was super fun to learn from and she guided the activities very well!
Also especially appreciated the service and the incredible food from the Pelicanos dinner kitchen staff and our dinner server Miguel. Would 10/10 recommend this resort; we had an incredible time~

We had an amazing family vacation with our two grown children and their spouses. The rooms were perfectly well equipped and the service by the staff was excellent all around. We enjoyed most of the restaurants in site. Our favourite was Pelicano’s for dinner. It’s an open air restaurant close to the sounds of rolling waves of the beach close by. The appetizers were just fabulous and we thoroughly enjoyed the cocktails, too.

This resort was excellent. The staff are very friendly and attentive and keep everything here spotless.
The restaurants were very good in general, even the buffet(Spice). We did pay for a premium meal at the Chef's Table that was not worth the extra.
The only suggestion I have would be a little more variety in the restaurants. Besides Mediterranean and the Chef's Table, all the other restaurants were Mexican food.

A lot for your money! We were sisters traveling to Mexico and selected the fabulous Vivid Hyatt Resort. We are so happy we did. The Mexican people were so warm a gracious. Greeting with "Ola" and their hand over their heart. The service at the pool we spent 4 days with Jose our cabana poolside attendant. We love his kindness, hussle to bring us drinks, and he was so fun! Jose made our stay enjoyable we will never forget him and hated to say goodbye. You have a great guy there that deserves a raise. He made our stay there better!

A great resort with many luxury amenities. Rooms are well appointed and we appreciated the stocked fridge, jacuzzi tub, balcony and prompt room service. Wonderful dining options, especially Dolma and Asiana, with Spice offering great, varied food selections for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Staff throughout the resort were so personable and accommodating. The main lobby server, Roberto, deserves special mention as their best ambassador. His engagement and service approach were extraordinary. Overall, a wonderful destination with a lot on offer.

We had really high hopes for this trip, especially traveling with a baby, but this stay was incredibly disappointing from start to finish.
First, our air conditioning didn’t work properly for the first three days. Every single time it stopped working we had to call, and maintenance would come during my baby’s naps which was beyond frustrating. When you’re traveling with an infant, nap time is sacred, and the constant disruptions made the first half of our stay stressful and exhausting.
When we arrived, instead of feeling welcomed, we were immediately pressured to attend a “luxury vacation club” presentation. We ended up wasting 90 minutes listening to what turned out to be a glorified timeshare pitch. It felt misleading and pushy, especially when all we wanted to do was settle in and start our vacation.
The most upsetting part of our stay was getting food poisoning — not from the buffet, but from one of their so-called “preferred exclusive guests” rooftop restaurants. I hadn’t left the resort, so it’s hard to imagine it came from anywhere else. When we called concierge to let them know and see what support they could offer, they completely dismissed my concerns. I was told I “could have gotten it anywhere,” which felt incredibly invalidating and unhelpful while I was clearly unwell. There was no follow-up, no concern, no support.
We also paid extra for “Preferred” status, which frankly didn’t feel worth it. Beach seating was extremely limited. We woke up early every day just to secure chairs and still could only get four chairs for our family of five. Even then, we were repeatedly harassed to give up a chair when latecomers showed up at noon. That’s unacceptable after paying a premium. On top of that, the pool was freezing cold and constantly windy — it felt like a wind tunnel. We didn’t swim once.
Overall, between the broken AC, pushy sales tactics, dismissive staff when I got sick, and the lack of actual “preferred” benefits, this was not the relaxing family vacation we expected. I would not return or recommend it, especially to families traveling with young children.

We were here for 5 nights in February 2026. We were with famiy and friends. I'll start with the positive. We arrived late so that fact that the buffet was open till 10p was great because we were all very hungry. The check in process was smooth and quick. The rooms were good size and clean. The entire property is very clean. The food is good but not great. We were able to book dinner each night at the restaurants without any issues. The resort is in a private gated area which was nice because there was no local walking around trying to sell you stuff. It felt very safe. The beach area had a lot of nice places to take photos too. There was a lot of seaweed and rocks making it hard to swim in.
Now onto what we didn't like. The lobby was small and uninviting. On our last day there our transfer to the airport was late and they didn't want to help us. We didn't know what to do because our agent also ignore us. It was very frustrating. There was no swim up bar. We didn't think this would bother us but we know now this is a deal breaker because it made the all-inclusive experience not as fun. There was only 1 pool in the whole resort (unless you go with the upgrade then there is a pool on the top floor) which we don't care for. We noticed that the resort was extremely calm and quite and we didn't hear much music at all. There wasn't a lot of activities taking place during the day - it was a bit too quite for us. We enjoy waking up to loud music and a lot of stuff happening around us.
This resort was not for us and we would not come back to it again.

We stayed at this resort for a friend’s wedding and expected a relaxing and well-run experience, but from the moment we arrived it was a string of frustrations and poor service. Several guests, including us, didn’t get the rooms we paid for—preferred and regular bookings were mixed up with no explanation. It took over six hours for our luggage to reach us, and we eventually had to collect it ourselves after finding it sitting unattended.
Our “Preferred Club Ocean View” room was a huge letdown. The photos on the website show bright views of the ocean, but our room faced the opposite side of the building with barely a glimpse of ocean and a large glimpse of the golf course and swamp. The only true ocean-view rooms were actually classified differently and cost more—very misleading.
The resort uses a frustrating booking app (apparently required by Hyatt) to reserve restaurant spots. It crashes constantly, and unless you wake up at 6 a.m., you won’t get a dinner reservation. By the end of our stay, everyone gave up and just lined up to write their names down.
Service was poor throughout. The concierge staff were unhelpful and seemed more interested in pushing the 90-minute timeshare presentation than actually helping with any guest requests. If you didn’t agree to sit through it, you got zero assistance afterward.
Basic cleanliness was also neglected. Dishes from room service sat in the hallways for days—despite multiple calls to have them picked up. When food did arrive, it was often inedible: raw pizza dough, freezer-burned items, and generally subpar quality.
The restaurant experiences were no better. At Vista Prime, the so-called “preferred” steakhouse, the steak was so tough it was nearly impossible to cut, and the octopus was slimy. My wife ended up getting sick after a kale salad. Breakfast service was painfully slow—one morning we waited an hour for a table even though the restaurant was mostly empty. The host just kept saying, “15 more minutes.” At the Mexican restaurant, our group of ten was served so unevenly that my main dish didn’t arrive until two and a half hours later—after everyone else had finished eating—and the waiter laughed it off as if it were a joke.
Overall, this resort was a huge disappointment. From unorganized check-in and false advertising to poor service and questionable food safety, it fell short on every front. Definitely not what you expect from a Hyatt-branded property.

We had a great family trip here! We booked a family suite for five people and the rooms were a great size, very comfortable, and the bathroom showers were awesome. The food was great overall. The only downside was using the app to book restaurant reservations, it was very annoying and honestly didn’t work well.
The kids loved the pool. There’s only one, but it’s huge, and it was easy to find a place to sit throughout the day. The beach area was on the smaller side but still very nice. We chose this resort specifically for elderly family members with limited mobility. Unfortunately, they were sick missed the trip, but this resort would have been perfect for them. Everything was easy to get to, didn’t require a lot of walking, and stairs were avoidable. The coffee cafe was everyone’s favorite spot (great coffee and snacks). The kids didn’t enjoy the kids’ room much, but the teen area had some fun game options. The spa was awesome, and the workout room was decent.
Overall, it was a great trip. Excellent service, and the staff seemed genuinely happy to be there and were always very helpful. Would definitely recommend for families and guests with mobility concerns, or those wanting a quieter but still kid friendly option.

We booked the resort with friends for spring break 2025. If you're going for a senior trip, book somewhere else. We were forced to book two rooms for the 4 of us (me, husband, our 18 year old and 21 year old). Told their policy doesn't allow more than 3 adults in one room. Their "adult age" is 13. Even though the website said two queen beds. They were full size beds in reality.
There is not much night life, the club was pretty empty every night.
My husband and 2 other adults got really sick on our last day and all remained sick for a week! They all had fevers and major stomach issues (I'll spare details). The resort refused to take any responsibility for it. Very disappointing. The resort even tried to down play their illness to an upset tummy. All 3 adults were so sick, they each went to the doctor twice and none of them could return to work for a week.
Breakfast was not good and it's so chaotic.
We tried booking the spa since we booked as preferred club and were supposed to receive complimentary hydrotherapy, and they were hard to get into. It's like they made it hard so you'd give up.
Even at the preferred club lounge, I asked for my free beach bag, that others received, and was told I didn't get one because I was at a different level. We all had the same exact booking.
Believe me, book somewhere else!

My husband and I opted to change our trip from Jamaica (due to outbreak) to Mexico. We were hesitant to book this resort due to some other poor reviews on food but have heard great things about Dreams resorts so we decided to just go for it. We had a fabulous first family vacation with our 8 month old daughter from Jan 11-16, 2026! The food was delicious! We went to the Japanese restaurant twice as that was our favourite. There were a lot of families with young kids which was nice. There were always high chairs available at the restaurants and we had no issue getting a crib (that we requested prior to arrival). We were in the privilege plunge pool room and we absolutely loved it. It was so nice to be able to enjoy the water (though a little chilly as the pool is not heated) while our daughter napped. One of the things that really stood out to me at this resort was the workers that always came up to us at the pool and even when we were on our balcony/in our plunge pool to take our drink order. This was a very nice touch.
Sadly there was a lot of seaweed and the water was not beautiful blue waters but this of course is no fault of the resort. They did their best to rid the seaweed each day which was appreciated! The only other thing that was upsetting was that the swim up bar pool is adults only. As this is such a family oriented resort, I feel all ages should be allowed in all 3 pools (the swim up pool is the pool that has the beautiful view of the ocean). If someone is looking for a relaxing trip (or a party resort) with no kids around, then they should go to a different resort (perhaps book an adults only resort).

We LOVED everything about this resort. I can not even fully express how amazing this resort is. Not only is it beautiful but it has hands down the BEST staff ever! They are so very thoughtful and consideret. They go out of their way to make sure you have the best stay and truly it was because of the staff that our experiences there were elevated. I had a minor ankle injury (100% my fault) and from immediately assisting me in wrapping it, to constantly checking on me, to providing wheelchair escort all over, I have never felt so taken care of. We traveled with our two daughters (4 & 8) and they loved the kids club! The dining options are lovely and the resort is gorgeous! As I mentioned EVERY SINGLE STAFF MEMBER was phenomenal, the ones that made an extra special impression on us with their thoughtfulness, service, and professionalism were: Gilberto in the buffet (we truly feel like we made a friend with him and will come back to see him!), Alberto in the services area (he was so kind to understand my injury and take care of our unfortunate excursions cancelations due to my injury) and Rocio and Fatima in the Explorer's Club (Kids club), our daughters LOVED them. I didn't vatch everyones name but EVERYONE was perfection! Also the lady who greeted us for La Petit Chef was so incredibly kind and amazing. We couldnt have asked for a better experience and are so very greatful for helping us have such beautiful memories of this Cancun trip!

Went there with two 2 y/o for a week. I have nothing to say but good things about the resort. Everything is in walking distance even for kids. The rooms are close to the beach. There's plenty of chairs around the pools and on the beach.
Every restaurant was great. We ate at the buffet often and I never got tired. Food was awesome. The staff was nice. Room was nice and clean. The night activities stopped early so the music wasn't an issue. The pool for kids is great.
The resort cleans the sea weeds every day with a tractor to help with the issue. There were weeds 3 out of the 7 days we were there. You can still go out into the water without being an issue.
I recommend this resort to anyone!

Extremely Disappointing Experience – Would Never Return
I stayed at Dreams Puerto Morelos, formerly known as Hyatt Riviera Maya, and this was one of the most disappointing resort experiences I have ever had.
We were told that although the name had changed, the service and standards remained the same as Hyatt. Based on our stay, that statement was simply not true.
Honestly, if this level of service were offered under the Hyatt name, that would be even more shocking.
On our very first night, we were “welcomed” by a cockroach in our room, which immediately set the tone for the stay. While the staff themselves were generally polite, friendliness alone cannot make up for the overall lack of quality.
The food was consistently poor across all dining options — bland, uninspired, and not at all what one would expect from an all-inclusive resort. On top of that, wait times for food were excessively long, making every meal frustrating rather than enjoyable.
The resort itself is very small, with little to do on-site. There were no meaningful activities, no atmosphere, and nothing that justified choosing this resort over countless other options in Cancun or the Riviera Maya.
Because of this resort, I genuinely regretted coming to Cancun at all. A vacation that should have been relaxing and enjoyable turned into a constant feeling of disappointment.
I would never return, and I would not recommend this resort to anyone, especially those expecting a Hyatt-level experience. This stay fell far below expectations in every meaningful way.

I absolutely loved our stay at this hotel last summer. So many good memories. We stayed in an ocean front suite and the view from the room and balcony was absolutely breathtaking and unforgettable. Pictures didn't do it justice. We were in the Preferred Club and I would recommend that, as the breakfasts at the beach front restaurant were absolutely wonderful. Fresh and varied and delicious. The meal we had at the Italian restaurant was one of the best meals I've ever eaten. The seafood restaurant was great too. Cocktails were strong and tasty. I didn't love the buffet, it was pretty average actually so avoided that as much as possible. Daytime and evening entertainment was great. I joined the cycling tour to the local fishing village one day and that was really fun and gave me an opportunity to get off the resort and see the local area. Other activities included Spanish lessons and archery. The Kids Club was amazing and my daughter had a lot of fun. The ladies working there were lovely and it seemed safe. Kids pool was a lot of fun for the little ones. There was a wedding taking place on one of the days during our stay. Personally I enjoyed watching it - it was beautiful!
Yes there is sargassum on the beach which means you can't swim in the water and there is a bit of a smell, but you see the staff working all day long to clear it as much as they can.
I would return in a heartbeat. It was one of the highlights of my year.

Raul Caamal was hands down one of the highlights of our entire trip. He was our evening bartender and from the very first night, he made us feel genuinely welcomed, not just as guests, but as a family.
He was incredible with our kids, always taking the time to talk with them, joke around, and make them feel included. With us, he remembered our drinks every night, made thoughtful recommendations for new cocktails, and shared great suggestions for places to visit around Tulum. One night he even named a drink after us, something we will never forget.

My family and I went on Vacation to Dreams Tulum in Mexico this week and honestly the service there is spectacular!! From bellboy, to the lobby staff, we were greeted with such a warm welcome. All of our needs catered in a timely manner with such grace and hospitality! The absolute best recognition goes to the gentleman at the bar, Lorenzo, Carlos, Victor and Benito!! We have never seen such pleasant interaction between bartenders/servers and guests; they always have a smile on their faces, they remember each and everyone’s names, they genuinely converse and interact with everyone AND they remember everyone’s orders! You’ve got to try Lorenzo’s “the devil in me” drink; it’s the perfect blend of alcohol, slushy and passion fruit!
The rooms can do with some serious upgrading, there was a lot of rust and patched up work that was clearly visible. I understand the hotel is very old and there is some wear and tear but the upkeep should be mandatory.
The specialty restaurants also had some good food, our favourite was the seaside grill for both lunch and dinner and the Mexican restaurant “el patio”.
Overall, our stay was wonderful and we would recommend the place for service and food.

This is a all inclusive resort with plenty of different types of food, drinks and entertainment daily and a few shows. You have to get a ride into any town. You can book any excursion thru them or they can call you a taxi. The staff are all helpful, constant cleaning and preparing foods. The beach is right outside to enjoy all day, We did not have one bad day here. Our room was perfect. We would definitely stay here again 💕

Just returning home from 9 days of extraordinary relaxation at this beautiful resort. Our oceanfront suite was terrific and the views of the sunrise each morning were breathtaking. The service at this resort is great but with our butlers, Isaac and Armando, it was top notch. They met our every need and made our entire stay perfect, from nightly dinner reservations to perfectly placed pool chairs and Bali beds. We couldn't ask for more attentive butlers.
Also, a shout out to Sergio Gonzalez, our daily poolside drink server and Mariel, our favorite member of the entertainment team.

What an amazing stay, i just want to say my island ambassador Dafne was so helpful and nice. she was there to help with whatever i needed in a timely manner. she made my stay 100% stress free. i also want to show recognition to the maid carmen, she does such an amazing job cleaning our room and is very trustworthy nothing went missing from my room and she always checked in to see if i needed anything. she deserves every everything she’s worked for, also thank you to sergio in the kitchen at the boathouse, he’s very welcoming and a nice person, we enjoyed talking to him. these are a couple of the staff that stood out to me, but overall they have an amazing staff system. this hotel is great for couples who like a chill vibe but if your really young and like to move around a lot it might not be for you, it’s in the smaller side and the ocean access got washed away due to the hurricane but they are working on getting it fixed.

Enthusiastic entertainment team especially Maria was outstanding, Angel and Dennis are such fun and great instructors. Carmita was an excellent cleaner and kept our room immaculate. Eric was amazing in the Boathouse restaurant especially at breakfast! Always attentive and remembering our coffee preferences. He’s awesome.
Our main complaint is the reservation system for the restaurants.

This resort is the BEST! I have stayed twice and both times I was treated like royalty! If you are looking for a place to have an intimate or large party for your wedding this is the spot! Raquel is an angel and the most thorough/ organized wedding planner, and the food and beverage manager (I can’t remember his name) will make sure your family is taken care of through the trip. The gourmet food and beverages served at our private events were SO amazing- we received compliments from all of our guests. The spa was also amazing- they gave me last minute services on my wedding day and the best massage I have ever had the day after my wedding. Can’t recommend this place enough.

Joaquin saved our trip. We are diamond members and had booked ocean front swim up. They didn’t have our reserved room available and were indicating that a reservation is not a guarantee of a room and we would have to take a lower room for the night and move the next day. Joaquin our butler was able to negotiate an upgrade for the night to a wonderful suite. He provided amazing service throughout the week. His attention to detail and customer service is unparalleled. Love him to death. Shout outs to Carlos wish you were still in Landshark. Luis you make the best mexcal cocktails and your derive is spectacular. Erick makes the morning buffet fun. The spa is excellent. Love this resort the water aerobics and fun to end the night at Landshark. I wish you could sort out your check in service.

We visited in February 2026 with a three year old. Coldest Feb for years but plenty warm enough for us except in the pool.
Our room in a villa was excellent although we were surprised there was no cutlery or wine glasses which would have been useful even with all-inclusive. These cost extra.
Food was very good indeed. We used Koh Thai, the Brasserie and Flavours.
The hotel was superbly maintained and the gardens were lovely.
It was nice to be surprised by animals occasionally - spider monkeys, coati and a range of birds. Our 3 year old was thrilled to see a bat.
Entertainment was varied and high quality, including for children. The kids club was interesting and felt very safe.
Service was outstanding. The staff all seemed to like their jobs, had time for a chat and made the atmosphere special.

The food was incredible. I had some of the best dishes I’ve eaten in a long time. The lamb and octopus dishes in Seasons were amazing. There are so many restaurants that even after staying 7 nights there were some we didn’t have time to try. All the waiters were attentive and a lot of fun especially during the dinners. The breakfast and dinner buffet was also very high quality. My ambassadors Liz and Andrea were able to get anything we needed during our stay. There are so many activités happening throughout the day. Some of the highlights were sushi and ceviche making and painting. And if you show up late they will literally stay later and do it again for you until everyone who wants to do it has had a chance to participate which is great because we are on vacation and don’t have watches half the time.
My favourite thing we have done here has got to be Temezcal and the meditation/rituals at the spa. They replicated indigenous practices for health and wellness. It was so unique something I’ve never seen at any other resort before. I will definitely be coming again. We had a minor issue with the room and they took it seriously and fixed it so they are very on top of everything. Lastly the beach when I went in February had no seaweed so we spent most of the time at the beach.

This resort is great - it’s a big resort, with lots of beautiful, well taken care of grounds!
Upon arrival, we were checked in quickly & our room was absolutely amazing! Gorgeous view of the jungle & a clean, spacious room.
Our favourite restaurant was the La Brassarie, the French restaurant - with Natura being a very close second, we went there nearly every day for lunch!
Camilo, from the entertainment team was amazing! He’s extremely helpful and very friendly! He goes above and beyond in his job, all the time & he always has a smile on his face. Nothing is too much for Camilo & our holiday wouldn’t be the same without him!

The resort has excellent restaurants, spacious rooms & suites. The gym is well equipped albeit small. Staff are all professionals & engaged in ensuring guests are comfortable. The only drawback is the beach & waterfront. The shore is rocky, very narrow, illl suited for swimming. Jetskiis cruise regularly near by. Sadly the area is full of seaweed. Water visibility was low. As long as one stays in the pools, the resort is amazing.

Hi, you have such a unique hotel, with absolutely beautiful grounds, spacious well appointed rooms, and best of all, great staff. I think the swim out area in front of each room is really cool, but we had hit a bit of a cold spell, so only went in once after the foam party. Driftwood restaurant is a perfect setting overlooking the water, and the food was amazing. Getting to walk over the the Palms area and just to the main lobby is stunning, with beautiful walkways everywhere, and I've honestly never seen so many palm trees on a resort, it truly is a gorgeous place. There were lots of sunbeds and Bali beds all over, and picking up towels without a card is nice. Every night there was something different going on for entertainment, but not the huge theatre that most resorts have, which I really liked. The amount of work that goes into the Fireshow and Mexican night in the main outdoor venue is just amazing. We always had breakfast sitting outside by the pier and it was just perfect, overlooking the ocean, with palm trees swaying. If you didn't want to walk they had shuttles going all over the resort, and the staff were always so friendly. The Italian restaurant on the Suites side was the best food I had at the resort, and highly recommend ( but you need to book this one). The beach at the Suites is rocky, and there is a small area to enter, but we knew this when booking, and you just walk a few minutes to the Palms side if you want more of the beachy vibe. We spent most nights after the entertainment at the Guacamayas bar ,where they would have singers, Karaoke an a DJ playing later. I would highly recommend this resort.

Beautiful hotel with superb staff who are keen to make your stay the very best experience. The hotel is very spread out but you
are taken by golf buggy shuttles to wherever you want to go by the lovely drivers. Our suite was beautiful and cleaned to an exceptional standard with clean bedding and towels every day. The food at the many restaurants was delicious and the street food at the events in the Plaza was also superb. It is one of the few places that I have not been ready to leave by the end of the holiday. We cannot thank the lovely staff enough for making our holiday so special.

I am incredibly happy with my Vacation here at El Dorado. The amenities are top tier, and it is maintained beautifully.
But I will say, my best experience here was my meals and experiences where Adrian was my wait-staff at the Seaside Grill. He welcomed us to the resort enthusiastically and ensured that our table was well stocked with whatever we could want. He went above and beyond, and I hope to see him on my return visit.
The only criticism I have is that my family was tricked into an endless timeshare presentation based on some false pretenses, which wasted some of their valuable time on their last day. But other than that it was fantastic

Overall we had a fabulous vacation here. Very friendly staff, delicious food and beautiful resort grounds. Beach erosion has created big challenges for this resort but they are working hard to combat this, but can only do so much. This is not a powder sand beach, but is beautiful in its own right! Pool areas are very nice with options for quiet relaxation or fun pool activities depending on which pool you choose. The resort grounds are gorgeous and lush with palm trees and plants—absolutely gorgeous! Very different vibes in different parts of the resort which we loved!

The consistency is not there. First day checked in at 4:05 and couldn’t get a reservation at a restaurant. After an 1.5 hour wait for a pizza. Next day all reservations available were late night. Paid for a Junior swim up ocean room #4008 sat outside all day, NO one came by for bar service, stayed 6 days was asked 3 times for drinks after I complained and it was only for 1 day. We asked 3 days for pool towels. Didn’t get them delivered until our last day & of course that’s the day we paid for a Bali bed just so we could have service. They took our dirty coffee cups on day 2, we had to use water cups for 2 days even after asking house cleaning everyday for coffee cups. We booked an all adult resort but had to walk all the way to generations with kids to eat at a buffet. Why did we walk? Well we waited at golf cart pick up 32 minutes. 5 carts past saying they would send someone. Had to hike a little over a mile.
The view was amazing, entertainment was very good,
But we will never do another one of your resorts for sub par service.

We travelled to this resort last year for 10 days and loved it. The food was great and fresh, service was good, and we loved the very lush grounds for walking. We found everyone extremely helpful except for the front desk. The Maroma excursion was excellent, and what an amazing buffet.
Our only disappointment was the room, while the location was good the room was not what we expected based on the website - it was quite dark and tired, but always clean. We are heading back there in April, so fingers crossed it’s as good as we remember and our rooms look like the site pictures. Will let you know!

We were with a group of 18 people for 2 b-day celebrations. I will say that the waitstaff were so great and they were all very friendly. The place was beautiful. There were beaches, but I’m not sure if getting into the ocean there was a good idea, so we stayed in the pools and really enjoyed that part. Now for the bad parts...We ran out of bottled water by day 2. When they cleaned and stocked our room, they did not replenish the water or the coffee. I had to ask for bottled water in the room multiple times and for several days before we finally got some on the last night, I mean you can't drink the tap water in Mexico, so hello. There was NO hot water in the shower. (That was miserable) We felt like we spent most of our vacation waiting in line in the lobby for everything. Getting a dinner reservation was ridiculous, with no reasonable time spots. We scheduled bell hop to come get us the morning we left, with enough time to get breakfast before the shuttle was supposed to pick us up. (We were at the farthest end of the property) They NEVER showed up. We had to drag our bags down the stairs and over halfway across the property before an employee with a golf cart stopped to take us to the lobby. Of course we missed breakfast. The "free" shuttle company to and from the airport was just deplorable. I had to book this at least 3 or 4 times and they still told me we didn't book it. I even got confirmation from them, without my flight info, so I responded to correct this and STILL was not booked. What exactly was being confirmed?!?!? The guy at the Lomas desk (the ones that book the excursions and the shuttle) was so incredibly rude. Somehow, I convinced them to let myself and my husband on the shuttle back to the airport, but they flat out refused to add the other 3 people from our group that were all confirmed to be on that shuttle too. We ALL had the same flights back; this made no sense to us. There was plenty of room on that shuttle, for people and bags. They ended up having to pay for a cab. When I stay at a resort, I want to check in all at once and enjoy my time, not stress. We opted not to do the 1 free excursion that was available...it was a 2-hour ride, 1.5-hour hike, for only a 40 min cenotes snorkel/swim and then 1.5-hour hike back to the 2-hour ride back. No food or drinks included, at all. No thanks. This place has a lot of potential, but it is not for me.

Fernando and Claudio were excellent Butlers. The best we have had. Thank you honoring my request of having the room in front of our wedding site in 2009. It made our trip very special. We have already booked for next year. Ana kept our room spotless. And I did not catch our minibar attendants name but he was fabulous as well. Ramon was the best beach butler we have ever had. All our servers were fantastic but a special shout out to Daniel at Rincon breakfast and kick lunch. Our expectations continue to be exceeded every visit!

A lovely resort hotel with beautiful gardens which were immaculately maintained. Plenty of space to escape the crowds and a pleasing variety of restauants to sample. Externally the buildings appeared well maintained. However the bedrooms were very dated, furniture was old, lighting could have been brighter. Many of the sun loungers on the beach were also old and uncomfortable. Staff were generally courteous, cheerful and helpful.
Check in was very slow and we were not given a full explanation of what facilities we were able to use or areas that were off limits. For example we only discovered during our stay at Dorado Royale that certain loungers and pools such as those near the Casitas were not supposed to be used. This was not explained at check in nor on the maps.
Navigation of the resort could have been made easier if restaurants and bars had signs identifying their names. Similarly a lable on each of the desks in the main lobby describing the role each had would make finding the right person to speak to easier.
Attention to customer's potential food allergies was admirable however exceedingly repetitive. As all evening meals had to be prebooked and reservation details were held at the restauant surely it would simpler if the question relating to allergies was asked by the concierge, recorded and notified to the restaurant along with the booking information.

The rooms are top notch and the service is excellent and the food was very good. Be careful with the buffet, because a few people got ill.
The beach is public and okay and you can't swim too far out because of all of the boats and jet skis - it is not safe. All in all, I found the beach small and underwhelming.
They will try and upsell you to the Xhale club and it isn't worth it - you get the rooftop pool, not much else However, if you book a laguna view room on a package holiday, if you upgrade at the resort to Xhale club - you can get an ocean view room for far less than pre booking.
The hotel zone is very safe and heavily police patrolled, so you're safe to walk around day and night and night. Downtown Cancun is safe during the day and pretty safe during the night. If you venture outside of downtown it is not safe for tourists. However, I have swarthy skin and could pass for a local, so I ventured everywhere with no problems by only speaking Spanish and not dressing like a tourist.
I loved Cancun and I will be back. The Breathless was great, but very expensive. I may book cheaper resort next time, but I did have a great time at the Breathless.

This resort was an absolute blast. The rooms are beautiful. The resturants all had excellent food. The staff were so friendly and helpful (shout out to our favorite Abi from the party pool). I would definately recommend this resort if you are looking for a vibrant vibe. If you are looking for a quiet resort, this is not the right place for you (try Secrets). But if you are looking for awesome pool parties, fun night club, and lots of friendly people, then this is a great resort for you. I would say the age range was 30s to 60s. Our favorite night was the Drag Show and our favorite day was the Friday Pink Pool Party - great DJ, acrobatics, some dance performers ect. There wasnt usually too much trouble getting a pool chair but they did fill up early on busy days. We treated ourselves to a cabana (which was great but it is an extra charge). The spa was lovely (and quite honestly an amazing therapeutic massage). We went with friends and have no complaints. Truly wonderful place. If you are a big beach person there was a lot of nice soft white sand (but there is also sea weed on the beach and in the water...they do what they can to keep it under control but that seems to be all of the carribean coast in mexico these days).

I did a girls trip in January at breathless and honestly, I would give it a 10 out of 10. This is an all-inclusive resort that did not disappoint. The only complaint that I had was the servers seem to be more attentive when you tip them. Although we were tipping them five dollars, so it really wasn’t that much. We had a swim out pool and that made the experience so much more fun. The food was really good, especially the food at the buffet. The breakfast was so bomb at the buffet and the dinner at the restaurants were really good as well. I will definitely be coming back.

This was my second time staying at a Breathless property, and while the resort itself is beautiful, there were a few things worth noting.
One thing I noticed is that if you don’t specifically ask for premium liquor, your drinks may be made with off-brand alcohol. I’m not sure if this applies to all Breathless resorts, but I recommend clearly stating the brand you want when ordering.
I also observed that tipping seemed to affect the level of service with some bartenders and staff. Although gratuities are advertised as included in the upfront price, service felt noticeably different if a tip wasn’t given immediately. This was similar with housekeeping—our room was exceptionally well-maintained the first morning (even our shoes were neatly lined up), but on the following days, without a tip left, the upkeep was not as thorough.
That said, there were staff members who were consistently kind and professional regardless—especially the women at The Nook and the staff assisting guests on the beach.
The food was good overall, though it became somewhat repetitive over a multi-day stay.
As for the beach, it wasn’t what I expected for an oceanfront property. The water on this side of Cancun was darker and rocky and not ideal for swimming. If you’re looking for the classic turquoise, swimmable water (especially in December), I’d recommend staying on the other side of Cancun.
I was also disappointed with the karaoke entertainment. The host frequently sang over guests while they were performing and seemed to make the experience more about himself rather than focusing on the guests.
Lastly, be cautious of the VIP tour representatives in the lobby. When we asked for help arranging a taxi to a mall, we were instead guided into a tourist excursion that turned out to be a complete tourist trap and took up most of our day—very different from what we were actually looking for.
Overall, I did enjoy my stay and found the property beautiful, but based on these experiences, I would likely explore other options on my next trip to Cancun.

Leaving this review as a warning for anyone considering this resort, especially in a large group. I traveled in a group of 20 for a bachelorette party, and of the 20, 8 got SEVERE food poisoning, and just about everyone else had extended periods of nausea. If you read no further, let this be your warning.
1. Food: based on reviews, expectations for food were pretty low, but the food was quite bad and just overall felt very unhealthy. Everything was super greasy and salty and processed. We went to the buffet one night and everything was lukewarm, which we think contributed to the food poisoning. For large group dinners they claim you don’t need a dinner reservation, but when you go to actually book a dinner and you want your group to eat at the same time (still at different tables), they make you spend $300 on wine to make the reservation. Otherwise they tell you there’s a 45 min+ wait to eat, unless you go at like 5pm.
2. Check-in/check-out: literally the worst experience I’ve ever had. Two of our rooms had 3 people in each room, and when we arrived, they claimed they had no record of this, even though I showed them receipts/confirmations for the three people from my travel planner. To remedy the fact that their information was wrong, we had to pay an extra $250 because they refused to accept my confirmations as valid. My travel agent had to spent hours on the phone with their sales team to get this fixed and get the extra charge refunded. Without my travel agent they would have definitely kept my money, there was no way to win this. This also made the check-in process take over an hour for our group. They also charged me an extra $310 for no reason when the rooms were booked that my agent had to personally reimburse me, and they charged another girl an extra $300 because she was joining a room as a third person a day later than the room started, but they claimed for her to be in the room at all she needed to pay for every night of the room, even though their payment is based on occupancy and not the room itself. Basically, unless you book through an agent you already have a strong working relationship with, this resort will shake you down for hundreds of extra dollars. Check out was also bad, where they wouldn’t let us leave the resort until you provide a slip from the front desk, and when there was an issue with our slip due to the issues with our reservation, they held us up and physically wouldn’t let us leave until it was resolved. This risked us being late for our flight and was truly insane.
3. Half of the pool was pretty gross, with lots of trash/dirt/plant material floating in it. And the hot tub is super murky/yellow.
4. Our room smelled REALLY bad from day 1, I suspect there is mold/mildew in the vents.
Positives: the employees were generally very kind and helpful (other than check-in/check-out people), and the resort definitely has a party-forward atmosphere which is fun for large groups.

We LOVED our stay at Paradisus and we will definitely come back next year. Highlights included the spacious rooms and (for us, the swim-out patio was absolutely amazing to allow the littles to nap while still being able to take a dip). This resort keeps families at the core of everything- generous amenities and thoughtful activities for kids, facilities and services geared to make families comfortable and enable TRUE vacation and not just a trip away from home. The food is yummy, vibrant and appealing for all kinds of tastes and needs- and the staff is so warm and accommodating across every little nook of the resort.
Our family has a rather special circumstance: we have a special needs child, and traveling for us comes with a number of additional complexities. Families like ours often don't go on trips because of the difficulty it brings. But at Paradisus, we were warmly received and my son was treated with such kindness, respect and hospitality that I was truly moved to tears. He has a special diet, and the concierge, restaurant managers and head chef went out of their way, above and beyond, every single day, to ensure he was included and provided for like any other guest. We are utterly grateful for the sincere hospitality and kindness we experienced.... For the parents of special needs kids, to be cared for in this way was a gesture and experience that was deeply meaningful.

La Perla (the adult only side) was the best resort experience. The staff made it a dream vacation. Ismael and Sandy at Hadar buffet were so much fun and provided great service, as did Jaime at Lemon Fish with his jokes and recommendations. Alberto and Ada gave incredible massages at the Spa. Victor in the room lobby was such a kind face to see in the morning and had our regular drinks memorized after the first time. Paola gave us the marketing spiel and she was so kind even after she passed us off to the sales members, Alejandra and Pietro. They too were so welcoming and it was honestly because of the staff that we became Melia members! Highly recommend this resort. We will for sure be back!

We ate at several of the restaurants and they were all really good, especially Sol. Our room was always nice and cool so it was a welcome retreat when it was too hot outside.
It’s mid February now and while the humidity has been high, only because where we live we have none, the outside temps haven’t been too bad. We will definitely be coming back and referring friends and family!

We chose this resort for our destination wedding, and it exceeded every expectation. Although our wedding itself was off-site, 80 of our guests stayed here—and not a single one of them had a single complaint. Every guest had an amazing experience. I’ve been to Mexico over 17 times, and this was by far the best resort I’ve ever stayed at.
The food was absolutely incredible. From the smash burgers by the pool to every restaurant we made reservations at, we were never disappointed once. The staff throughout the resort were extremely friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful.
What truly took our stay over the top was our event coordinator, Denys. She worked with me for months to help plan and coordinate our welcome party, and she was nothing short of amazing. Denys went above and beyond in every way and made our night better than our wildest dreams. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

We recently stayed here for a wedding that was happening on property. Booked one of the larger, family concierge suites with a swim up as we we're traveling with our kids and knew family would be in and out of the room during the week. Since we were closely related to the bride and groom, we knew about the planning details which unfortunately were anything but smooth for both them and then the guests that stayed down there under the room block which made us nervous for our stay, but we saw a lot of great reviews so we still remained hopeful. Here are my pros and cons for the overall resort once we checked in:
Pros
- The kids activities during the dinner hours were great, as was the kids club that was available almost all day. We found the kids staff to be the best staff on property, personally!
- Food and drinks were great. This was our first all-inclusive experience and I worried that there wouldn't be things to eat for my kids or the food would be bland but that was very far from the truth.
- Housekeeping was great and kept our room well cleaned throughout the week!
- While the wedding planning process was anything but smooth the wedding itself was lovely and the coordinator they had was great!
Cons
- Check in literally took 2.5 hours. Upon arriving, we were escorted to the family concierge lounge which did have drinks and snacks available, but no activities or communication about what was going on, only a "wait here and we'll come get you when we are ready". Thank goodness for another family checking in that had kids so our kids could play but it was a long wait and there was zero communication. I understand that rooms may not have been ready but at least allow us to check in and use resort amenities instead of forcing us to be sequestered and waste a day.
- We were given zero information about the resort at check in. No map, no information on the app (that we later found out about), no info on our dining reservations, nothing on the kids and family activities, etc. We missed out on a lot because of this.
- Our concierge host was okay, but was pushy anytime he had a question and anytime we had one the delay on a response was literal hours. The also leave at 5pm and good luck getting information from anyone after that.
- It was rare to receive drink service at any of the restaurants. The exception to this rule was the Italian place on the family side - they we're quick to get us waters and other beverages we requested but every other restaurant we dined in from the buffet, to the sit downs, and the lunch box never actually served drinks even after we ordered them.
- The room was nice but our kids beds were never put away. In resorts we've stayed at in the past we've always had the pull out bed cleaned up and put away before the room was then turned down at night and while this may not seem like a big deal it was weird to us. We also only had four towels the first night and because we had a swim up we had used them to dry off from swimming and put down on the floor so our kids didn't slip (everyone else had received a very nice bag with pool towels in their rooms but we never got this even after asking). I also noticed that room service plates were not taken when the room was cleaned.
- Our phone in the room didn't work and neither did the app, so if we needed anything we had to go to the concierge which a lot of the time had a sign saying to go to the main front desk.
- Our hot tub on the verandah also didn't work
- You can't charge anything to your room even though that's what we were told at check in. Which isn't a big deal but something to know so you can keep your wallet on you
- The common spaces and bathrooms especially are VERY worn down. Lots of toilets that didn't flush, sinks that plain didn't work, holes in the walls, etc.
All in all, while it is a lovely area and has so much potential this doesn't qualify to me as a luxury property. My kids had an absolute blast with all the activities and have been asking when we are going back but I struggle to spend $1,200+ a night on a mediocre stay.

We arrived at the hotel on febuary 6th and left on the 15th of febuary 2026. We travelled with Air Transat. The flight from Québec City was alright no delays and our luggages arrived with us. We were greeted at the hotel entrance with a drink and proceeded to our check in. We were assigned two Butler ( Amado and Novelo ) both of them gave us an exceptional service for our entire stay ( 9 Days) . They were very attentive to our needs and whatever request we may have. They made special arrangements for my wife's birthday on the 11th with a Happy birthday banner accros our room door. Every day Amado or his collegue Novelo wrote to us on the What's App. and us if wee needed anything and how our day was going. we really felt that we mattered to them and that it was very important to them that our stay is comfortable and worry free. The hotel room 3015 ( Swim up ) was impeccable with the very good room service every day. The mini bar in the room was refilled everyday (chips, chocolat etc...). The Club lounge next to our room offered very good lunches and snacks, drinks continental breakfast etc..
The restaurants, buffet were just excellent as well as the Great Teams of employees troughout the resort. Every employee that we walked by were very nice to us saying good morning. The resort is all over super clean ! The night and day activities were very good.
At the beach ! there is plenty of Palapas, beach long chairs and Beds ! I have to say a special thank you to the beach bar waitress ( Miss. Bo Derek ) who was constently going back and forth from the bar to the different tourists , taking each order very carefully and giving us a excellent service with a very nice smile.
We are definately going back soon to this resort !!!

Spent a week here with the wife and another couple, we had a fabulous time. I would definitely recommend this resort.
Pros- The resort is very modern (5 yrs old), and the room was very spacious and clean. We had upgraded to a swim-up pool which would have been wonderful however the sun did not hit the north side and the water was way too cold to go in (in their defense, there was also an unprecedented cold front that same week that made it worst). TV catered to the English language (many do not).
All the staff were extremely friendly, the butler and room service were outstanding.
The restaurants were all close and food actually tasted like food. There were activities every night including a super bowl fiesta.
Beach was close and the water was clean. Strong presence of military style police patrolling all the resorts beaches daily that made tourist feel safe, they were friendly as well.
Cons- The single road to access these resorts is VERY bumpy. Stores were a rather pricey but this is everywhere. People rush to save beach chairs and huts early so finding open ones were challenging.

recently had the pleasure of dining at the steakhouse located within and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience! The ambiance was both elegant and inviting, perfectly setting the stage for a fantastic evening.
The star of the show, however, was undoubtedly the service. Our servers, Raul and Jesús, went above and beyond to ensure that our visit was truly special. From the moment we arrived, they greeted us with warm smiles and genuine enthusiasm. Raoul was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, recommending the finest cuts of steak and offering pairing suggestions that truly elevated our meal.
Jesús, with his attentive demeanor, made sure that our glasses were never empty and that we had everything we needed throughout our meal. It was evident that both of them take great pride in their work, creating a welcoming atmosphere that made us feel like valued guests.
Now, let’s talk about the food! The steaks were cooked to perfection—juicy, flavorful, and expertly seasoned. Each mouthful was a delight, and the sides complemented the main courses beautifully.
Overall, I highly recommend the Steakhouse to anyone looking for a top-notch dining experience in The Majestic Elegance Costa
Mujeres. With outstanding service from Raul
and Jesús and a menu that exceeds expectations, it's a culinary gem worth visiting.

My husband and I just had our wedding here and had the most AMAZING experience! It was our third time to the resort, this time with 60 of our closest friends and family members. The resort is great for an all-inclusive. Food is good overall, drinks are wonderful, and the resort is beautiful and not too big. I do imagine is could be not as great of an experience if you stay on the family side, but we always have chosen club side.
We worked with TripGuy/ Mitch Toren / Christopher Mendez on our room block for guests. They were amazing to work with and super organized. It made planning a destination wedding so much easier!
The weddings department is extremely organized and great to work with. They are experts and handle up to two weddings per day, so they don't finalize anything with you until 2-4 weeks before the wedding. Trust the process, they are experts and exceeded my wildest dreams. We worked with Karina during the planning process and Daniela as the day-of coordinator. They were super organized and completely brought my vision to life.
All of our guests also had an amazing time. Everyone thought the resort was beautiful and said our wedding was the best they've ever been to. The service from the waiters to the bartenders, to the butlers - was all incredible.
I look forward to coming back here again and again in the future!

Loved our experience!
The best part of our 9 day trip was the entertainment team: Sam, Gretel, Sebastian and Enrique made everything so fun, we did almost every activity. Jeremiah by the main pool was my favourite bartender. Service was always amazing from everyone.
The resort is beautiful and unique, our room exceeded our expectations, the restaurants were quite good. The only reason this is not a 5 star is because its very far to the beach (almost 30 minutes by shuttle) and there was a constant upselling of events and experiences (we were here for both Superbowl and Valentines Day, with prices exceeding what you would get off resort, so we went to do that instead). Its walkable to many restaurants and shops, and walking in the area felt quite safe. Overall, I would highly recommend it.

It was a wonderful vacation! From the time we pulled up until our departure we were treated so nice. The resort is beautiful with all of the green foliage and trees and the staff is so warm and welcoming. The check-in process was a breeze, then a tour of the resort and off to our room to start our very relaxing vacation.
The room was ready when we got there and was very clean and the bed was amazing. Service was twice a day and mini bar restock was once a day.
The food and service were exceptional at all restaurants and bars.
There are plenty of activities in around the main pool if you choose to participate or just lay around at one of the four other pools. The roof top pool has a special foam party twice a week and is fun to experience. For those who want the beach, they have shuttles that run every half hour, we did not use this service.
We are looking forward to going back in the near future!

We spent 8 nights at Secrets Tulum after travelling from Miami. We loved it, from start to finish. The room was beautiful, service was very good and nice restaurants to choose from for evening dinner.
Breakfast was very good and we loved the omelette station in particular.
Lunch was good in the buffet, we only discovered the pasta station a few days in, delicious.
Lots of area to relax around the pools and good drinks.
The pools are extremely cold but it didn't stop us enjoying them. Great availablity of snacks and treats in coco cafe 24 hours. Room service could be slow and food cold at times, not faulting the staff as they did their absolute best, maybe this was just a particularly busy time.
Overall, a wonderful experience with lovely facilities and staff.
We enjoyed the beach shuttle and visiting the beach was lovely.

I was really excited about staying at this hotel, but unfortunately, I left feeling disappointed.(I stayed February 16-18,2026)
We arrived at 3:00 PM and our room was not ready. Instead of simply asking us to wait, someone approached us multiple times to discuss a timeshare presentation. We politely declined several times, but they continued trying to offer incentives. At the end of the day, no means no. Our room wasn’t ready until 3:56 PM, which was frustrating after traveling.
Once we finally got settled, we went to Barefoot Grill for a quick bite. There was only one cook who seemed overwhelmed, which may explain why the food wasn’t good. Everything tasted stale.
After eating, we wanted to enjoy the pool, but there were no towels available anywhere. Because of that, we couldn’t even get in the pool that day. Unfortunately, the beach was also closed, so all we could do was sit and watch others swim.
We had dinner at Blue Water Grill where the service was very good and the food was just okay. The next morning, while heading to Jasmine for breakfast, the same person approached us again about the timeshare, which was extremely annoying. Dinner at Jasmine came with a 55-minute wait,( there were many empty tables)and the food was soggy and awful. Breakfast there was just as bad. We sat down at 9:50 AM, fruit arrived at 10:08 AM, and our hot food didn’t come out until 10:34 AM—even though it wasn’t busy. Everything was cold.
On a positive note, the Italian restaurant was very good. The Beach Club experience was decent as well. However, they should inform guests that the shuttle only has 12 seats. The restaurant staff there seemed overwhelmed, but the fish tacos were great and the club itself was relaxing.
It also felt like if you’re not a Preferred Club member, you’re not really catered to in the same way. The difference in attention and service was noticeable.
Overall, while the hotel is beautiful, the constant timeshare pressure, lack of towels at the pool, long waits, and disappointing food made it hard to relax. I go on vacation to unwind—not to feel harassed or frustrated. I think implementing restaurant reservations would help avoid long wait times.

Our experience at Playacar Palace Resort was absolutely wonderful, from arrival to departure. Everything was perfect.
The service from the entire hotel staff was exceptional — everyone was friendly, attentive, and very polite. The hotel itself is cozy, peaceful, and perfect for a family stay. The food is amazing (you can tell by the number of photos I added to this review 🤭). The hotel is also extremely clean.
The restaurant staff were lovely, especially Elvia, who was always kind, friendly, and took the time to talk with us.
The MoMo restaurant, with its oriental cuisine, is simply divine. Abner, who served us both times we dined there, was very pleasant, friendly, and extremely polite.
At the pool area, all the staff were always attentive, making sure we were well taken care of. Juliana, who served us for two days, was also incredibly kind and courteous — actually, everyone was amazing.
A truly wonderful hotel — 10/10. We will definitely be back!

Overall, this resort was okay and disappointing for the price. The pictures make it seem much nicer than it actually is. It’s a small resort with not much to do, limited activities, a small gym, loud pool music at times, and most of the good pool chairs are reserved early. The food was underwhelming overall, though dinner service was excellent and the staff was very attentive and kind. We loved Momo and the hibachi the best!
Resort credits sounded great when we booked but very limited on what you could use them for and came with extra fees. The beach is more for the view than actual use. We also had issues with poor communication, especially around a golf outing on my birthday where transportation details were never communicated, yet it was treated as our fault. While they rebooked us, we were still very disappointed that no compensation was offered.
The resort is very clean, and it’s conveniently located near the main shops and downtown, which was a plus. Our initial room had no ocean view at all which is what we had booked so they had to move us the next day. Room service was great and they did make our anniversary feel special. The staff was truly the highlight of our stay, but overall this was not a five-star experience and did not meet expectations for the cost.

Very disappointing experience at this hotel
I travel to Mexico several times a year, and this was unfortunately one of the most disappointing hotel stays I have experienced.
The hallways frequently smelled strongly of food and were not consistently clean. During our stay, we saw plates, cups, and leftover food left in the corridors for extended periods of time, which did not meet the standards expected from a property that presents itself as a luxury resort.
The room cleanliness was also below expectations, which made our stay uncomfortable.
One morning, I went to the pool with my one-year-old son and my four-year-old daughter. Most of the sunbeds were reserved for members. When my husband sat on one of the available chairs, a staff member informed him that it was reserved and advised him to look for other seating on his own, without offering assistance.
I later spoke with reception and asked about leaving early due to our experience. I was informed that any refund approval would need to come from another department, and no written confirmation could be provided at that time.
Due to these issues, we decided to leave the hotel three days earlier than planned. We were not refunded for the unused nights.
I hope management reviews these concerns and improves both service and cleanliness standards for future guests.

After booking this resort, I’ll admit I was extremely nervous. I deep-dived into the reviews and got worried about the beach and some people’s negative experiences. But I have to say—the hotel truly exceeded our expectations.
Yes, the beach directly by the hotel is very small, and the water comes right up to it. However, if you walk literally two minutes (if that), right across the way there’s a really nice small beach area where you can relax and play. It was perfect for our family’s needs and absolutely beautiful. I also loved that you could sit on a sun chair near the water without sitting directly in the sand—perfect for anyone who hates the sensory overload of sand.
The rooms are on the smaller side, and the beds are quite small. Definitely do not expect a queen-size bed—it’s smaller than a full and not ideal for two people. Keep that in mind. That said, they brought in a rollaway bed for my son, which made a huge difference and worked out well for us.
The staff was incredibly friendly, sweet, and accommodating. We have some dietary restrictions, and I emailed the hotel ahead of time. They were fully prepared for us upon arrival and were amazing about meeting our needs.
The location of the hotel is fantastic—right by the main area. It was so nice to be able to step outside and really experience Mexico, feel the city vibe, and not feel isolated like you sometimes do at large luxury resorts. You truly get the best of both worlds: luxury inside, real Mexico just steps away.
One thing I do want to mention is the entertainment. At least the Caribbean show was definitely not family-friendly. I genuinely felt like I had accidentally taken my son to a strip club, which made me hesitant to bring him to any of the other shows afterward. That’s something the hotel could absolutely improve.
Overall, we had a beautiful time. My son loved the kids’ program, and despite a few drawbacks, we would definitely come back again.

I am writing this review to warn future guests about a serious safety issue we experienced during our stay at Playacar All-Inclusive Resort.
My girlfriend and I booked the Rio Secreto Riviera Maya excursion directly through the hotel. Before purchasing, we clearly asked the hotel staff member selling the activity:
“Do you need to know how to swim to do this excursion?”
We specifically explained that neither of us knows how to swim.
The staff member told us no, and said the water would only reach approximately chest height. Based on that information, we felt safe booking the activity.
Once inside the cave, we reached a section where our feet could no longer touch the ground and swimming was required.
Thankfully, the tour guide and several people in our group helped us get through the deep-water section by guiding and supporting us. This experience could have been difficult and frightening, but their assistance made it manageable.
To be clear, the excursion company and tour guides were excellent — professional, calm, and supportive throughout the experience.
The issue lies entirely with the hotel staff who provided incorrect safety information. Had we been told that swimming would be required at certain points, we would not have booked this excursion.
This was not a minor misunderstanding — it was a safety concern. The staff member could have easily said:
“If you don’t know how to swim, I would not recommend water-based excursions.”
Instead, we were given misinformation that put us in an uncomfortable and potentially unsafe situation.
I strongly urge the hotel to ensure staff provide accurate and honest information, especially when selling excursions involving deep water.
Guests should be able to make informed decisions about their safety.

I want to clarify that my concern was not about the excursion provider or the guides, who were professional and very helpful throughout the experience.
My concern is specifically regarding the information provided by the hotel staff at the time of booking. We clearly asked whether swimming was required, as neither of us knows how to swim, and were told that it was not necessary and that the water would only reach chest height.
While I understand the excursion is operated by an external company, the information we relied on came directly from the hotel representative selling the activity. Had we been informed that swimming would be required in certain areas, we would not have booked it.
I did not raise the issue during my stay because the tour guides and other guests assisted us safely through the experience, and we chose to focus on enjoying the remainder of our vacation.
My intention in sharing this review is simply to encourage clearer communication so future guests can make fully informed decisions regarding water-based excursions.

Writing this while currently in resort. Good thing is golf carts, service at the pool side. Everything else is worst, avoid this place as much as possible.
Rooms are not great, pretty old property. Yesterday there was water break in the room, they change the room and reprogrammed our keys for new room. After reaching to room our keys not working. They took 35 mins to send someone who again struggle to open initially. After multiple calls by him to office he was finally open it. The staff who was here didn’t know English so against communication was challenge . The staff who was picking phone hangs in two mins, transfer call to front desk, no one there to pick. Chatted in the app for no help. They said manager will call back but no one actually did. Note front desk is not near you have to go lobby by golf cart. Overall still unsure about not being locked out.
Good cart staff good. House keeping is very good. Front desk is very unwelcoming. Most of staff not able to speak English so you had to use phone to translate.
Food is below average (vegetarian options). Room credit is not useful anywhere. Give you an example spa only use 50 while without credit you get 40% discount which better. Overall credit is a trap. They can infect give you any amount as credit but you can’t use it.
I am not going to stay in palace properties any where. Take your decision informed.
Update: It got worse asking question at front desk led to scare. Went to public relation team already. While lock works great today evening thank god. Not much help.

Moon Palace Cancun is a great resort! The service is very good—everyone is professional and friendly. We loved that there are so many different restaurants; the food was delicious and the bars were excellent.
It’s definitely kid-friendly with plenty of activities and lots of pools. Each pool area has its own food and bar service, which is super convenient. It’s a bit pricey, but you definitely get a premium experience for the cost. Perfect for a family vacation!

We had a great stay at Moon Palace Sunshine. The resort is beautiful, clean, and very well maintained, with a lively yet relaxing atmosphere. The rooms were comfortable, the service was excellent, and the staff consistently went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable.
One thing to note is that reservations for most of the restaurants can be difficult to secure, especially during busy periods, so planning ahead is important. Once we were able to dine, the food quality and variety were very good.
Overall, Moon Palace Sunshine is a fantastic resort with great amenities and service, and we would happily recommend it.

Our stay was deeply frustrating from the moment we arrived. We checked in at 3:30 PM, yet the check-in process took hours, and we were not able to see the resort until dinner which was at 8:00 PM. To make matters worse, the resort ran out of pull-out beds for minors, forcing my husband and me to sleep sideways on a bed that was too small, with our feet hanging off.
From the start, getting a straight answer to even one question required speaking with multiple staff members. We were repeatedly passed from person to person, often receiving conflicting information, which resulted in significant wasted time.
We were also told we needed to pay $200 per person a day for a water park day pass or we could attend a timeshare presentation. We were assured this presentation would take 90 minutes; it lasted four hours. When we declined the timeshare, we were repeatedly sent to different representatives and were not allowed to leave until we signed paperwork—paperwork that took an excessive amount of time to be brought to us by multiple people. Then as we’re leaving they’re still following us trying to sell us 60% off.
After finally leaving, we were sent to three different locations just to obtain the day pass. By that point, half the day was already gone. We later discovered that the staff member who checked us in never made the dinner reservations he claimed he had, resulting in even more time wasted sitting in the lobby.
Transportation throughout the resort is overly complicated and inefficient. The buses were fine but the golf cart situation is not ideal. Navigating between the lobby, our room, and other areas of the property required excessive walking and long waits for golf carts, which often took an unreasonable amount of time to arrive. As a result, my feet were sore every day from the constant walking and one of our dinner reservations were almost canceled.
We were also required to switch rooms with my sister over the bed situation. When the rooms were reassigned, no one had access to them after they said they reactivated our wrist bands, causing even more back-and-forth travel to the lobby to resolve the issue. Despite the delays and constant movement, we consistently returned to rooms that had not been cleaned.
Additional issues included:
• Limited towel availability
• Slow and inconsistent service
• No ability to select our room at booking or check in
• Resort credit that was misleading and unusable for many advertised options
To be fair, the New Year’s Eve show was excellent and very well planned, and while the buffet was below par, the specialty restaurants offered genuinely amazing food.
But good luck finding a spot at the pools!
We have stayed at over a dozen resorts in Cancun, and this was by far the worst experience we’ve had overall. A vacation should be relaxing—not spent waiting, walking, and resolving preventable problems. Unfortunately, this resort failed to meet even basic expectations.

I recently stayed at Moon Palace Cancun for four nights—three nights at the Sunrise section and one night at The Grand. Overall, my experience was good, and it is a lovely place to be with family, but there was one significant issue that prevented me from giving a perfect score.
The Sunrise Experience
Our time at Sunrise was quite lively and enjoyable. The rooms were very clean, and the pool area had a great energy. The standout feature here was definitely the staff; they were incredibly courteous and did everything within their capacity to accommodate our requirements.
Special shout-outs to the team members who made our stay better:
• Miriam at the restaurant desk.
• Isaac at Momo Restaurant—he did a great job helping us during our dining experience.
• Mario at The Circus restaurant.
My only critique regarding the room at Sunrise is the in-room Jacuzzi. It takes up a massive amount of space. While some families might enjoy it, it would have been nice to have the option to choose a room without it to utilize that extra square footage. Additionally, vegetarians should be aware that the Sunrise buffet has very limited, almost negligible, vegetarian options.
The Grand Experience
Moving to The Grand was certainly an upgrade. The atmosphere is elegant, and the rooms are very spacious. The dining situation was much better here, specifically the buffet, which offered plenty of vegetarian choices. If you don’t mind spending the extra money, I strongly recommend checking into The Grand over Sunrise.
The “Resort Credit” Issue
The reason I am deducting one star comes down to the “Resort Credits,” which felt like a misleading promotion. When I booked during Cyber Monday, I was told I would receive $750 in credits. Upon check-in, I was told that because of my split stay (3 nights at Sunrise), it would be $500. Finally, I only received $150.
To make matters worse, using them is complicated. We were told we could use $100 toward the spa, but when we arrived, we learned we couldn’t apply the full amount to a single service due to hidden limitations. This entire process was a trust-buster. I would have been happier if the credits were never offered at all; promising a benefit and then confusing the customer with restrictions feels like a shame.
Conclusion
If you ignore the resort credit situation, Moon Palace is a solid choice. It offers nice rooms, great staff, and good food (especially at The Grand). Just manage your expectations regarding the promotions, and you will have a wonderful trip

We just finished a 6-night stay at Moon Palace Nizuc with our two young kids and had a great experience, largely thanks to the staff. The playroom team in particular was so warm and actually got to know our kids by name. Even though we stayed at the Nizuc, we found ourselves using the Sunrise pool more since it was a bit warmer, and the frequent golf cart rides made jumping between the two areas super easy. The food was great across the board, and while people complain about the gift shop prices and the resort credit system, it’s all stuff you can easily avoid.

I had a delightful time at this wonderful resort. The staff works incredibly hard to make the consumer experience perfecto. Everyone is kind, works to help with English as needed, and the location is impeccably clean and well maintained. The beds are a dream and the showers are very nice. The meals were delicious and the golf lesson was one of the best experiences I've had on my life, I'm ready to return to links after ten years away. Would highly recommend

Not sure why some of the reviews are so poor, this place is fantastic. Staff could not have been friendlier and the hotel is fantastic. Food is in abundance and there is so much to choose from at the buffet restaurants. We managed to get reservations easily for dinner- booked on the app 2 days in advance and no problem at all. Would definitely go back, poolside staff were brilliant too- we didn’t tip initially but the service was still great, then we did end up tipping because they were so good.

We traveled with a 2-year-old and a 1-year-old.We were initially assigned a third-floor room in a building without elevators, despite traveling with a stroller and small children. We were told no first-floor rooms were available. Only after stating we would leave the resort did a first-floor room become available, resulting in over 5 hours lost on our first day.
The room balcony presented significant child-safety concerns, including no child lock on the sliding door and wide glass slats that could allow a child to get limbs trapped. The room door did not accommodate a double stroller, and staff advised us to leave the stroller outside or rely on bellhop service, which was impractical.
NO ramp system to navigate the property or pool areas with a stroller. THIS IS NOT HANDICAP ACCESSIBLE EITHER
When these issues were escalated to Public Relations I spoke to Jorge and Araceli. No apology, and no compensation. We were told this was “not our problem,” and Jorge used inappropriate language during the call which was recorded.
This is the worst customer service experience we have had at a hotel. We do not recommend this resort to families with young children. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY DO NOT COME HERE

Our stay at Haven Riviera Cancún was incredible, and a huge part of that was thanks to Luis, the pool concierge, and Julian at the Serenity Pool bar.
Luis went above and beyond every single day. He was attentive, professional, and genuinely kind—always making sure we were comfortable, set up with great seating, and had everything we needed before we even had to ask. His level of service truly elevated our pool experience and made us feel like VIP guests.
Julian at the Serenity Pool bar was just as outstanding. His drinks were perfectly made every time, and his friendly, upbeat personality made the atmosphere even more relaxing and fun. He remembered our preferences, kept the drinks flowing, and always greeted us with a smile. You can tell he takes pride in what he does, and it shows.
Because of Luis and Julian, the Serenity Pool became our favorite spot at the resort. Their exceptional service, warmth, and attention to detail are exactly what make Haven Riviera Cancún such a special place. We can’t wait to come back—and we hope to see them again!

Mar from entertainment/activities was great we played pickleball, water polo, and volleyball with her! Very fun and nice!
Johny with activities was amazing showed us how to salsa and we loved playing crazy game with him at 1530. He was helpful and entertaining.
Rubio and Franklin dropped off our room service and were personable and remembered us every day. On night one we thought we would hear the doorbell from our swim out but we didnt and Rubio walked all the way around the hotel to catch us in the pool to say he had our food. On our last morning he said he saw our room number come up and he wanted to come say goodbye. Such a sweet guy!
Pedro at the dockside bar was thoughtful and introduced us to Mexican candy shots which really livened our trip.
Everyone was appreciative of our visit and wanted to make sure we would be back. We will 100% be back and recommend it to everyone. The staff alone made it a fun experience.

Returned recently from a 1 week stay at Haven. We chose the Serenity club option mainly for the oceanfront room and free golf. Room in building 4 was spacious, clean with a huge bathroom and closet area and had great oceanfront view. Added bonus I didn't expect was the butler/concierge service to be such a huge benefit. Our butler Miguel checked with us daily and made our dinner reservations, helped get some medical aid for my wife and also fixed my broken sunglasses. He also booked our spa appointment. Totally unexpected attention to detail and customer service. Ask for Miquel for your butler if you choose Serenity club.
Every employee we encountered was extremely nice and always willing to help if needed. Standouts include Mar (pool activities), Ricardo (pool service), Guillermo (server at Vora Mar), Lorenzo (server at Olios), Ely the bartender at Docks and all the bar staff at the Haven Lounge. My only slight minus would be the menu in most of the restaurants was limited. Thanks again to Miquel, Mar and the rest of the staff at Haven for making our stay a great time!

Nice adults only hotel close to Cancun airport offering areas to either party or relax quietly. Mar on the entertainment team was fantastic! Very friendly and enthusiastic. Really engaged people to participate in activities. Came away from her stretching class with some great tips to take home. Her mixology and cooking classes were incredibly fun and also educational. Learned how to mix drinks, cook and learn Spanish too. She definitely amped up the fun! Johnny provided great fun at the Latin dance class. Was very patient with our lack of rhythm. Ernesto at Haven pool always made sure we were well taken care of with beverages. Food and beverage overall good quality with some premium spirits offered. Only disappointment was breakfast - needed more traditional offerings. Very responsive to the maintenance issue we had. Like most hotels in Cancun area, beach has a fair amount is seaweed but the pools were nice if you got up early to snag a spot. Great nighttime entertainment from DJs to very good live bands.

Haven was beautiful, the rooms were clean, the food was delicious, the pools were fun, the beach was lovely. If you’re on the fence about booking-just do it. We were on a girls trip, but it was obviously a great place for romance too! Get yourself a serenity swim out room, and request Miguel for your concierge/butler! Miguel was sweet, helpful, and high energy! Everyone was so friendly and we felt so welcome!

We had an amazing stay at Secrets The Vine Cancun and would absolutely return.
From the moment we arrived, the service stood out. The resort has over 500 rooms but is designed as a single tower, and it never felt crowded to us. There are plenty of beautiful spaces throughout the property to spread out and relax.
Breakfast at Olio quickly became one of our favorite parts of the trip. Michelle and her team greeted us each morning with warm smiles and attentive service, and the food was consistently excellent.
Our room was spotless with nice balcony and a stunning ocean/lagoon view. We loved the dramatic, very wavy beach — it made us feel like kids again. We upgraded to Preferred Club and found it well worth it for the higher floor room, access to the Preferred pool area, The Olio Restaurant, and the lounge with snacks and drinks.
For anyone wondering about chairs: we consistently found beach space with an umbrella around 9:00 a.m. If areas filled up later in the day, staff were very helpful in assisting guests and keeping things organized.
Our only minor note is that some of the beach furniture feels a bit dated compared to how modern and beautiful the rest of the resort is. That said, it didn’t impact our enjoyment.
Overall, a polished, clean, well-run resort with excellent food and service.

Hola! Just returned from a one-week stay with my husband at this beautiful resort. The Preferred club ocean view room was beyond amazing - this is the only resort where we actually enjoyed spending time in our room. Wow what a view from the 27th floor. Can't be beat. Unfortunately the weather was unseasonably cool and extremely windy during our week so we didn't hang out by the pools too much. Havin said that however, we loved the drink service at the preferred pool - Arturo, Dany, and Hermes and all the others were smiling non stop and provided excellent service. Olio was delicious, and Michelle the hostess greeted us with a huge smile every day! The highlights of this resort include the food - best food we have had at an all-inclusive in our 30+ trips the the Mayan Riviera. So delicious. Esmeralda in the buffet, along with her team, took fantastic care of us. We did experience some tummy troubles while there; more than likely from guests who don't wash their hands after bathroom breaks, or sanitize them properly. Food handling that I saw from the servers, was excellent. On the Preferred floor we had our concierge Manuel, he was very helpful and knowledgeable and attentive. Always eager to please and sent us daily PDFs of the activities, which was convenient and very useful. The live entertainment was a real treat too. We are looking at you, Claudia T!! As a preferred guest, you are entitled to a complimentary 25 minute spa massage, and, bottle of tequila (or other) in the room. Thoroughly enjoyed both! Home for one day and am already checking the prices to return in April. Housekeeping staff, whom are often overlooked, provided excellent service, both during the day and for turndown service. Thank you Esmeralda on floor 27 . I cannot say enough good things about this resort. Book today you will not regret it. Oh - the coffee bar in the lobby has an amazing, prompt and courteous staff with beautiful smiles and genuine caring service. We really do not have any negative comments abouts this resort. Top notch in every aspect. Go now!!

Went for a bachelorette and didn't do Preferred Club! This resort is more aimed at a romantic couples getaway, rather than bachelorettes, but we picked it for the nice beach and weren't disappointed. The ocean was very blue and seaweed was well managed and didn't interfere (everyone always wonders about the seaweed but it's hard to predict, the amount of seaweed really varies day-to-day/season-to-season, but they work hard on keeping the beach nice). If anything, the wind was more of a problem than the seaweed. As with any resort, your enjoyment of the beach and pool relies heavily on the weather. It's not the best when it's ++ windy, but that's out of everyone's control. The red flag was up the whole time we were there but we still got to swim in the ocean. Just be aware of the possibility of wind on the hotel strip (I think it would be a problem anywhere).
The beach chair Hunger Games thing is real. I do think there should be a statute of limitations on how long you can reasonably save a pool chair. Some people dropped a random library book on a chair and were never to be seen again. But it's not a huge issue, over the course of the day you can grab chairs as people move around. It never occurred to us to get up early to claim spots and we still had a fine time.
The resort definitely caters to older couples who are looking for romantic getaways. We were probably 10-15 years younger than the average person. I noticed that most guests tended to eat lunch and dinner early, so there's more availability at restaurants later on (lunch after 1:30 and dinner after 8). All-in-all, good for recreational eating, lounging in the sun, having drinks in the lobby, and then turning in at a reasonable hour.
That said, you can have a fun night of dancing if you decide you want that (and bring the party). The live music was excellent in the evenings. We were impressed with the band that did the Rock Night in the piano bar and the DJ who came on after. It's rare to have a DJ that 1.) actually plays your requests, 2.) plays the whole song, and 3.) mixes the songs well.
Resort employees work very, very hard! The service is excellent. I never felt like tips were expected but they were always appreciated.

This is our third time to Secrets the vine, Cancun. We keep coming back because of the amazing food and clean, safe resort.
I gave 4 stars on the rooms because the one sliding door wouldn't lock (not that it needed to be) and the tub we had didn't have hot water, so the upgraded feature wasn't used. However, housekeeping and turn down service was nice and any time we needed the air conditioning or heat adjusted, maintenance was there very quickly. The sheets weren't perfectly clean any time we asked for a change, just a sign of the resort aging I suppose.
The location was perfect on the beach, only reason I mentioned a 4 is because the north side of the building doesn't have an appealing view in the space between our hotel and the neighbors. We really love this resort because nothing is far away on the resort. Coffee, drinks, pool, ocean, entertainment, your room, food... all within a 1-3 minute walk.
The entertainment has improved over the last 3 years. Husband and I are in our 30s and I personally love to be amused while he prefers to relax. I found the cabaret, the karaoke, the dj and Mexican show to be my favorite with the Silent Party being the highlight of the trip! The entertainment is typically catered to an older crowd which is the vibe of The Vine, which to me is a bit of a snooze fest and so the shows I mentioned made up for that.
The only animals you'll find here is maybe some pigeons - guests just need to remember not to feed them before they become a nuisance. Jose did well at getting crowd participation.
Staff are very helpful, I recommend if you have a complaint or concern, just say so and they'll fix it quite quickly rather than waiting to leave a bad review.
The Hyatt app is a good tool to know what's happening where and when.
A downside this trip was that many people leave their belongings on a chair early morning to get a pool chair. The 90 minute rule isn't well monitored by pool area staff.
The hotel is beginning to show its age but the hotel manager takes our reviews into consideration. Ive seen improvements on the entertainment, the hot tub temperature, and information for guests. The food is consistently delicious. I wouldnt be opposed to go a 4th time to see what they'd offer next.

Check in was quick and efficient. Rooms are spacious and clean. Pools are clean and waiters around the pool very attentive. The buffet breakfast is very easy good lots of choice and very attentive waiters. Dinner was great especially the Bluewater Grill and a special thank you to Jorge Itzá he is a great asset to your hotel - very knowledgeable, friendly, helpful and a good manager. The staff are also extremely good and attentive - attention to detail also. Great hotel as the staff make this and they are a credit to your business. Everyone I came across were friendly and helpful.

hyatt zilara cancun is hands down one of the best resorts i’ve ever been to. from the moment we arrived, the service was on point — every staff member was warm, welcoming, and went above and beyond to make the trip stress-free.
the rooms were spotless, spacious, and had that luxury feel without being over the top. the food and drinks were excellent, and the atmosphere across the resort made it impossible not to relax and have fun.
what really stood out to me was the vibe — it wasn’t just a vacation, it felt like an experience. everything from the pools to the nightlife to the little details in hospitality made it a trip i’ll never forget.
i’ve stayed at nice resorts before, but this one set a new bar. highly recommend for anyone looking to unwind, meet great people, and create memories that stick with you.

I recently stayed at Hyatt Zilara Cancun, and it truly exceeded all expectations. This all-inclusive resort is absolutely amazing — from the beautifully designed rooms to the outstanding hospitality, everything was top-notch.
All the on-site restaurants are excellent, each offering a unique dining experience with great food and service. A special shout-out goes to the breakfast buffet, which was simply incredible with its wide variety and freshness.
The staff goes above and beyond to make you feel welcomed and cared for, adding a personal touch to the luxury experience. If you’re looking for the perfect blend of relaxation, great food, and world-class service in Cancun, this resort is a must!

Management is horrendous. Since 2022, it tried to monetize everything in an all inclusive, like pool chairs. They would have charged for use of the sand if they could.,but Mexico has public beaches. $70 for a steam and sauna. The room service was ‘mediocre except for the breakfast. Not up the standards of the Royal and they post fake reviews, including time when the hotel is closed for renovations. Hopefully there will be new management. The service staff is great, though. They are the saving grace of the resort.

My husband and I stayed at this resort for our honeymoon Sept of '24. I cannot express enough how much we loved this resort!
The hospitality was top notch. Everyone greeted us with a smile and wished us a good stay.
Checking in and out was easy. We were greeted with a glass of champagne and a cold towel.
When I booked this resort I mentioned that it was our honeymoon. Our room had rose petals on the bed, chocolates, and champagne. That was so thoughtful.
The food was delicious. Which is a big deal for us. We enjoyed getting breakfast at the buffet Spice. They had fresh fruit every morning, food was delicious, and there were so many options.
Maria Marie is a great Mexican restaurant. I ordered green enchiladas and they were fabulous. The margaritas were so good.
The Asian cuisine was delicious. There was also a hibachi grill upon reservations. We got a bottle of red wine that the server recommended and it was tasty. The servers never pressured with addition cost for drinks.
Punta Vista had great seafood and steak. We enjoyed the scenery view of the beach. The food was so good.
During our stay hurricane Helene passed by and it was extremely windy and rainy. We were fortunate that it far away enough. The staff was so quick to mop the floors and check on their guest. We felt well taken cared for. (our hearts go out to the families and persons who were affected by hurricane Helene. It was so devastating.) Our room was clean and the bed was so comfortable.
Night entertainment was fabulous. We loved it. We really enjoyed that there wasnt a club or loud guest. It's an adults only resorts and everyone was drinking responsibly.
The pools were clean and they played great music. The pool bartenders were amazing with the drink flow and remembered our order.
The beach was so clean. Every morning and evening staff were raking seaweed and cleaning the beach. Smaller beach area but it was perfect for us.
We went into the jewelry store in the resort. They had so many beautiful pieces. We bought my wedding band from there and I've gotten so many comcompliments.
Zen spa was so lux. We booked a couples massage and it was amazing and relaxing. We got to spend time in the spa pool, steam room, and sauna. It felt so luxurious.
I totally recommend this resort. It's has left an amazing impression.
We recently were in Cancun. My husband and I were walking down the beach and we saw that Zilara is under going renovations. Once they open we're definitely going to book a stay. We love it that much!

Stayed at the Hyatt Zilara at ocean maya It was a great experience, staff were nice, food was good at the restaurants. My only negative comment was the buffet, service was terrible. You will be waiting for ever to get service. It also takes forever to get food replenished at the stations. The thing that I loved is how the property is designed, when it rains you don't have to leave the building, you can go to restaurants or anywhere without being outside and getting wet.

This place is like home away from home and a beautiful paradise wrapped in one I’ve been i’ve been two years in a row and have no complaints. Laura our host was fantastic and make sure everything went smoothly. Can’t say enough about the staff in the hospitality. What a treat everything was perfect the food the atmosphere the beautiful beach can’t wait till I go back next year and make this a regular thing. The transportation to and from was very comfortable and quick!
I’ve been going the last two years with a group of people and we all can’t say enough about this place. It is the best I give it five stars a real good deal for your money. All the liquor is top shelf. All the food is fresh and delicious.

We had a great time at Unico. When we arrived, we were assigned a Local Host, Laura Flores. On the second day we upgraded our membership at asked if Laura could stay on as our dedicated host. The resort was amazing and we had a great stay. All our needs were seen to and everything was arranged perfectly for our small group of four. Lair took care of everything and our experience was truly memorable. It was my birthday and Laura saw to the reservations, the poolside cabana and even decorated our room. She made our trip even better than we could imagine. Unico is beautiful, well maintained and the food is amazing. I highly recommend it. If you have the pleasure of having Laura as your host, you will be truly blessed.

PROS:
Excellent service - everyone is always willing to assist. From the minute you check in, you are introduced to your host. Ours was Amelia Marin - she simply went above and beyond to make sure our stay was unforgetable. Ricardo from resort services was very welcoming and made us feel right at home. Bellhop/ Pool attendant - Diego was courteous and made sure that we always had towels and even gave us a short tour of the property. Pool/ beach bartenders - Panfilo, Eugenio and Isabelle were simply amazing. Never had an empty glass.
Food and Beverages - There are 5 restaurants to choose from. All have their own unique flavors. Above average food quality and beverages. Much better than most "all inclusive" resorts.
Property - easily walkable due to its simple "u" shaped design. Very clean and well maintained. The rooms were spacious and everything was in working order. You can even customize your pillow preference, welcome drink and room scents. The resort is about an hour and fifteen minutes from the Cancun airport. Nice and secluded. The beach is small but good enought to accomodate resort guests. There is also an F1 simulator :)
CONS:
The part where they try to sell you on vacation packages. Until the point of checking out, someone will approach you and offer "deals"
Pools all have black flooring and very rough surfaces. We were not used to the rough surface.
Beach had some sargassum which was not removed throughout our stay.
Gym - ample amount of machines but they didn't allow us to use the sauna or steam room. "It was for members only"
Entertainment - this resort does not have your typical nightly concert, show or entertainment. If you are looking at a party atmosphere, this is not the place.
Other than the breakfast buffet, there isn't a regular lunch or dinner buffet. You can order just about everything poolside or room service which can take some time.
The presence of Coati. Although they seem harmless they can be intimidating.
OVERALL I would recommend UNICO 20 87 to anyone looking for a beach vacation. Friendly staff, Amazing food and a very chill vibe.

3/5 – Good resort, but not luxury for the price
Unico Riviera Maya is a solid resort, but it didn’t feel like the luxury experience the price suggests. If this were positioned as a mid-range all-inclusive, we would have been very happy. At a premium price point, it fell short of feeling special.
The rooms are modern, clean, and comfortable. The bed was great, housekeeping was excellent and consistent, and climate control worked perfectly. However, some details didn’t feel luxury (dust in less-visible areas, minor maintenance wear, slow-draining sinks). We also paid for an ocean-view room but were placed on a low floor where the mangroves completely blocked the ocean — something to be aware of.
The beach and pools are highlights. 🌴 Plenty of comfortable cushioned chairs, umbrellas, and tables, and we never had trouble finding space. Drink service at the pools and beach was excellent and attentive. The beach itself was beautiful with minimal seaweed and very relaxing.
Food was good overall, but not memorable. 🍽️ Nothing was bad, but at this price we expected more consistency and a higher-end feel. Reservation availability was also limited at peak dinner times.
Service from waitstaff and beach/pool staff was warm and excellent. However, overall service felt reactive rather than proactive, and the “Local Host” program added very little value compared to true butler-style service at similar resorts.
Evenings were another miss. The bar scene is limited, seating fills up quickly, and included wine and liquor options are basic and sometimes inconsistent. Entertainment is minimal, with the same live music most nights. The overall vibe leaned more social/group-focused than romantic or luxury.
The resort never felt crowded, but many guests were here for weddings or events, which contributed to a more party-oriented atmosphere than expected.
👍 What we liked:
Comfortable rooms, excellent housekeeping, great beach and chairs, strong WiFi, friendly frontline staff, relaxing beach atmosphere.
⚠️ What fell short:
Not truly luxury, inconsistent premium touches, limited dining reservations, basic bar/wine program, minimal evening entertainment, and overall not a “special occasion” feel.
Bottom line: Unico is a good resort — clean, comfortable, and enjoyable — but it’s slightly overpriced for what it delivers. Best for wedding groups, social travelers, or those with moderate expectations. If you’re looking for a romantic, high-end luxury experience, you may want to look elsewhere.

Just got back from a luxurious week stay celebrating a fun filled new years eve 2026. Unico was just what we were looking for, an adults only relaxing stay with fantastic food and drink, beautiful pools and beach, and fun evening entertainment. The staff and service were amazing, especially Madai at the Lobby Bar who lights up the room and your heart with her beautiful smile!
The rooms and restaurants are tastefully decorated in authentic Mayan tradition, and the food is top notch especially for an all-inclusive. We definitely plan on returning soon, probably by the end of this year when we need another beautiful beach side relaxing vacation. Amazing location on the end to have almost a 360 degree view. The turquoise towers are a must. Private Butler, private hot tub on the balcony with ocean front views! Just wow! Also one of the best massages I have had in my life - Caesar helping get scheduled was amazing and Gabriel the masseuse for the Swedish Massage was 5 stars! Rooftop pool and bar was spacious and not over crowded. Room service came in a timely fashion, always hot and never disappointed. Highly Recommend and will be back!

We’ve just returned from a stay at Hyatt Ziva Cancun, and the experience was excellent from start to finish.
The location is great, and the beach is a real highlight — beautiful, clean water and very pleasant for swimming. Our kids had a great time, with well-designed facilities and activities that truly work for families.
The food deserves special mention. All the restaurants offered very good quality and variety, which is not always the case with all-inclusive resorts. A special thanks to the Executive Chef, Arturo from Argentina, who clearly sets a high culinary standard throughout the hotel.
Service was consistently friendly, efficient, and welcoming. Housekeeping and cleanliness across the rooms and common areas were impeccable throughout our stay.
This is a hotel that delivers exactly what it promises: comfort, great service, and a consistently excellent experience for both adults and children. We would definitely return and highly recommend it.

This was our first AI experience as a family of 4 (two kids ages 1 and 7) and we truly felt like we were on vacation. Every single employee was so kind and warm and accommodating (shoutouts to Aracely at our daily breakfast table, Cesar who helped book me a spa treatment, and German for the 10/10 spa experience!!) The rooms and property as a whole were extremely clean. The spa far exceeded my expectations and my husband was able to enjoy the sauna, steam room, cold plunge experience as well and loved it. The pools and beaches were pleasant and clean, never chaotic, and the food was good. My oldest daughter really enjoyed the 8pm shows and dessert shop. We don’t typically travel to the same place twice but we intend to come back next winter for a lovely retreat in the sun. Highly recommend!

Our stay at Beach Palace Resort was nothing short of amazing! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warm smiles and exceptional service. The entire staff was attentive and friendly, but Joshua stood out as by far our favorite server. His kindness, professionalism, and attention to detail made every meal extra special—we genuinely looked forward to seeing him each day!
The resort itself is beautiful and impeccably maintained. Our room was spacious and clean. We loved lounging by the beach and the pool, both of which were peaceful and never overcrowded.
Dining was a highlight—every restaurant offered fresh, delicious food with a great variety. The rooftop bar and views were unforgettable, especially at sunset.
We left completely relaxed and already dreaming of our next visit. Thank you, Beach Palace, for an incredible experience—and a huge thank you to Joshua for making it even more memorable!

I stayed at Beach Palace towards the end of July and had my wedding here. I had a wedding of about 70 people.
Overall, I had a pretty good experience. I enjoyed all the food I had on the resort. I enjoyed all of the drinks. I slept great! The resort needs updates but they are about to undergo renovations, so excited to see how it looks after. The bartenders were attentive and fun. I enjoyed the Sky Terrace bar the most. The view from up there was very nice.
I had my ceremony on the top of the Sky Terrace.
The ceremony was beautiful. The view of the ocean was great. It was hot up there for sure because it was July but they had a water station up there for people to stay hydrated.
We ended up having to have our reception in the ballroom instead of the Sky Terrace because the chance of rain was too high (25%). I was not a fan of the carpet in the ballroom so hopefully with the renovation maybe they could update the flooring in there. The decoration was beautiful, though. I had so much food to choose from for the wedding which was wonderful and it was all included. The DJ did a great job. We had a great time at the reception, though I don't think the AC was working properly because it was too hot in there.
Overall the planning of the wedding with the resort went well. Sometimes I think there may have been some miscommunication which required a lot of back and forth. Aranza was very nice and did try to make sure I was happy even when we ran into some hiccups here and there.
The photographers and videographers were very nice and did a great job. They got all the images we asked for in the alotted time we reserved and helped us pose. The photos and videos came out beautiful. Be aware that when you receive your photos, you choose the photosyou want, and if you go over the amount in the package, the prices per photo are expensive.
Overall, I had a good stay and wedding at the resort! Majority of my friends and family did as well.
Cons that occurred during my stay or my guests' stay:
-Had some issues with some of my wedding guests booking their complimentary shuttle service with the service showing up as not complimentary. Make sure to book way ahead of time because you may need to reach out to fix this with the resort.
-I am extremely afraid of bees and really wanted artificial flowers because of that fear, but they would't allow artificial flowers. They reassured me that they would spray a deterant on the flowers so I wouldn't have to deal with the bees but there were too many bees during the ceremony so it was pretty distracting for me. I was trying to hold my composure at the alter but you could see it in the wedding video and photos. I think maybe artificial flowers should be allowed in cases like this to prevent this.
-My brother and cousin had a room booked together but my cousin arrived first. Since the room was booked by my brother as Adult 1, they would not let her check in until he arrived. So she ended up waiting a couple of hours before she could check in until my brother arrived to the resort. I think they really need to change this policy if this is their policy because not everyone will always arrive at the same time if they are flying from different places and since she was Adult 2, they should have let her check in without him being there. The same issue arose with the airport shuttle. This is an issue that needs to be resolved for people who visit in the future.
- Unfortunately one of my guests had issues with her toilet and waited quite a long time for check in. Also, she was pregnant and asking for non alcoholic drinks, they kept giving her alcoholic drinks.
-My dad and brother had issues with their room service meals coming cold.
-I dont think the AC in the ballroom during the reception was working/up to capacity. It was hot in there and they said they would look into it, but it never was fixed/resolved.
- The water pressure for the jacuzzis in the rooms was very low and the water in the shower would sometimes be cool when it should be hot. Hopefully renovations fix that.

This was our very first family trip to Mexico and my first time visiting the country, and I’m absolutely thrilled that we chose Beach Palace Cancun. Everything about this hotel is simply perfect!
I want to especially highlight the exceptional service and the kindness of the staff. Everyone we encountered was incredibly friendly, polite, and attentive. Their genuine care made us feel truly welcome and taken care of every moment of our stay.
The food was also outstanding — delicious, fresh, and with a wide variety to choose from. We chose the all-inclusive package and were very pleased with everything it offered.
One of the biggest highlights for our family was the kids’ club. My 4.5-year-old son absolutely loved it! The staff gave him so much attention, played different games with him, and even gave him a special souvenir at the end. He spent most of the day there with joy, fully engaged and happy in a fun, caring, and educational environment.
Overall, we are very satisfied with our vacation and are already planning to come back again in the future. Thank you, Beach Palace Cancun, for such a wonderful experience!

Great experience! The staff is absolutely amazing. Friendly, professional and so much fun. We loved Damasio at the pool bar, Andres, Ernesto and Gabriela at Tequila restaurant at breakfast and lunch, they absolutely made this stay amazing for us. We had a fabulous time with our large group (six in our family and five in my brother's family)! Both of us had the combined rooms (walk-through door) between the kid and adult room. The maids were so great each day, and they were very quick to resolve any issues we found (clogged toilet, accidentally locked safe, or the like).
The food was so tasty, and of course: plentiful. My little ones were so happy to be able to get "unlimited" fruit smoothies and ice cream whenever they wanted! The different restaurants did a great job trying to seat the eleven of us at one table, or sometimes multiple tables right next to each other.
The hotel is well seated with the beach right there! It would take us only 60 seconds from our hotel room (depending on the elevator wait). We also had a great time with the activities and events. We played many sports (beach soccer and flag football, water volleyball and polo) and also enjoyed the mechanical surfboard. The crowd favorite was the inflatable obstacle course in the pool; so fun!!
We will definitely be coming again!

We just found our annual midwinter break spot. From the movement we arrived, we were warmly greeted with yummy beverages and assigned a butler to help us answer any questions and make reservations.
Aram was incredible- managed to spot us several times to throughout the resort to check in and make sure everything was fantastic. He was also so responsive on our WhatsApp messaging- made us feel so could sortable and at ease.
The kids club was the MVP of the trip. Our 7 and 9 year olds immediately took the highly qualified, warm and bubbly staff. Calli, Nan, Tania, Connie, Andy and Karla were incredible. They always greeted our kids by name and made sure they had the best time with their creative activities. The got to meet friends, learn some Spanish, and we got to enjoy the adult pool and quiet dinners. We felt completely at ease and very much trusted them. They even put together a certificate and treats for their last day- we can’t wait to come back here next year-1000% recommend.

We just stayed here for our first time and my whole family loved it! Our room was very nice with a big balcony overlooking the pool and the ocean. The service was excellent, everyone was very nice and attentive. Room service was great, pool service was and restaurant service oh and the spa service. We were very impressed by the service here. The good was so good everywhere we went and the dessert was always delicious. We can't wait to come back. My kids loved it! The girls on the kids club were so nice and playful with our kids. This was our third trip to Cabo. We stayed twice at Hard Rock Hotel Los Cabos, and this was our first time at Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos. Overall, I’d rate this stay 6/10.
Food: Unfortunately, most restaurants felt very similar in taste and variety. I’d give the food 5/10.
Service: This was the highlight. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming throughout the stay. Top-notch service.
Drinks: Average overall — nothing bad, but nothing memorable. 6/10.
Rooms & Comfort: The beds and pillows were not comfortable. When I asked for a softer pillow, I was offered a blanket instead since they don’t carry soft pillows. This was disappointing.
Entertainment: Decent variety and enjoyable overall. 7/10.
Pools: Nice pool areas and atmosphere. 7/10.
Overall: While the service was excellent, the food quality and room comfort were below expectations compared to our previous stays in Cabo. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t recommend it based on this experience.

Delayed review, but we had a great experience at the Hyatt Ziva between Christmas and New Year’s. As someone who knows hospitality and understands how difficult this work can be (especially over major holidays), I can’t overstate how fantastic every single member of staff was. Each team member was enthusiastic, friendly and went above and beyond with their level of service.
Our dinners at Hacienda with Uziel and Casa Cortez with Margarito were consistently fantastic. Also want to give a special shout out to Luis at concierge - our family caught an absurd amount of fish throughout the week, and Luis not only coordinated with the restaurants to cook the fish for 27 person lunches & dinners, but kept two coolers of frozen fish safe for several days while we were staying in Cerritos so we could fly home with it. Thank you, Luis!
Our nieces and nephews (ages 5 - 12) had the BEST time. One extremely well traveled 11 year old said that this was her favorite vacation yet!

It’s gorgeous here, but I’m writing a review for the amazing staff. My family is a group of 13 and at every turn the staff at Ziva met us with kindness, patience and so much joy. The staff around the pool and beach really made our stay beyond fun. The games and activities for the kids and the exercise classes had us laughing and moving and grateful. The emotional labor behind those jobs is huge and they made it look easy. The shows at night were also really great. Such talented people. We loved it here. Thank you especially to Giselle the inflatable deer, Raul the push up champion. Special shout out to the Japanese restaurant - best dinner of them all.

when We checked in it was a very long process. Most importantly we Requested a crib for our 2 year old. Contacted many people in resort with no crib arriving. Impossible to have someone call you or respond. Finally got a crib at 10 pm. In addition, Counter tops are dirty. Hairs and smudge marks all over counter top. We were offered a 100 dollar credit and a free 80 minute massage by public relations. I told the public relations person my wife had a massage booked. She looked up time and said it would be “credited within 1 hr”. Then they reversed this and said we could only book a new one. Takes 10 emails and phone calls to deal with it. So eventually I just dropped it. They did credit a 100 dollars which is more like an insult than actual compensation considering how much this place costs.
Things were getting better. Pools were great so far. Lots of activities for kids. Food is moderate. Room is spacious.
However now after the debacle with the crib and them taking back their word on the massage now there are cockroach in our room and in the buffet. Counters are not cleaned. Pictures and video below. Impossible to get towels at certain pools.
The people overall are very nice and courteous but it is that “fake courtesy”. This is in no way a luxury resort. Would not ever stay at this companies properties again.

The service is absolutely amazing. We are repeat visitors, and will keep coming back. The food is great, the staff are professional and respectful, and they work hard to make sure everyone has a great experience. My kids love the flow rider, and look for Edwin or Christopher every time we go. They are both very helpful, and Edwin frequently helps the kids learn new tricks and builds everyone up. That guy needs a raise!

Moon Palace was really great. Went there second week of February. Best part is they have Catholic Mass on site 9 AM on Sunday over at the Nizucc. 10min walk or shuttle ride. No vacation from Jesus. Go to Church!
Food was fantastic and the service. We tried all of the main restaurants at the grand.

Was an amazing trip and thoroughly enjoyed all the commodities the resort had to offer. Unfortunately, as much of a benefit I want to give those cleaning the rooms my brother and I both had money stolen out of our wallets that were zipped up in our bags. Very disappointed and it was more than just a few dollars. Keep your money in the safe provided!

The resort is nice, I'm not an avid all inclusive traveler but to call this 4-star accomodations is not true. Some of the basics such as lack of towels every day at the pools of a very annoying thing. The doors in the family connected rooms blocks the air conditioner if you have them open, room cleanliness is okay, there were some fake lashes on one of our towels, the outdoor furniture is stained, there is some mold in the showers in the corners. The peep hole to look into the hall way is fogged in a way you can't see, one of the reading lights is broken the elevator in our building the down button doesn't work so you can never get it. The wifi strength of signal is okay in our building but the throughput is nothing so devices connected to it can't always get to the Internet. Not a great beach for swimming considering the seaweed. That being said I wouldn't normally be so critical but we were convinced to do the "90 minute" presentation to join the club. The sales pitch is 2 hours without breaking a sweat you'll meet with 3 main salesman then one last one that sells you a coupon before leaving then walked out by one person that will give you their number to call them. Besides all that they gave us $500 off the room for attending, but the reason for the criticism the memberships start at 150k USD and it goes up to 1.5million. this isn't for prepaid vacations it's for a discounts on x amount of weeks of vacations. At that price point I expect more... Much more.

Le Blanc delivered an incredibly relaxing, high-touch experience with standout service and some genuinely impressive dining—especially at dinner.
A huge thank you to Camila in Public Relations and Brando at the front desk, who went above and beyond helping me navigate an extra-night logistics puzzle. Their calm, proactive support made a stressful situation feel totally manageable and ultimately seamless.
The beach team was exceptional—Victor, Rafael, Jose, and Juan were consistently warm, attentive, and accommodating. They made it effortless to settle in and truly unplug.
Food-wise, dinner was the highlight by far. I’m a foodie, and I was genuinely impressed. Yama and Bella were my favorites, and I also really enjoyed Lumière (Jonny was great!). Special shoutout to Miguel (my favorite waiter at Bella, where I went three times!) and Cristian at Yama—and it was also such a treat to meet Chef Freddy at a ceviche class.
For breakfast and lunch, the buffet was average, but the resort absolutely shines with its fun food moments and special offerings: the fish market on the pool deck was a blast, and the rotating treats like churros and al pastor tacos were memorable and so well done.
Overall: beautiful property, wonderful people, and a true “you don’t have to think about anything” vacation. If you value service and great dinners, Le Blanc is a fantastic choice!

The property is pretty and has the best beach in the area.
Gym and the classes offered are cool!
But food is disappointing. It would be a hit or miss.
Breakfast buffet was OK. Missing more international options, and better quality overall; for example the beans looked like straight from an Isadora Bag. 👎🏼
Room service was meh, we ordered a steak once and it was terrible, chewy, barely any meat, mostly fat.
Steak house was great 💯.
Asian restaurant was ok; ordered sashimi and the cuts seemed like Tataki, the wagyu had a LOTS of fat.
Restaurant by the pool; ordered a Gyro and came in a flour tortilla, the reuben was not even close to a reuben; had overcooked meat slices. The tuna tostadas and shrimp cocktail were good!
The french “fine dining”, not great quality and taste on the dishes, wouldn’t go back.
The service is the best ever. However, The quality of the food is not great. There’s a big room for improvement. For the money paid, would go to a four seasons instead.

This is my second time visiting Le Blanc, and they continue to amaze me with how special they make the experience. Everyone was so kind, welcoming, and went over the top to make this a memorable trip. Enrique made everything so special, having us be greeted with cocktails upon check in, surprising us with various appetizers at Yama (which was delicious by the way), and leaving us champagne in our hotel rooms. The bartenders Ivan, Artemio, and Raul were so funny and found ways to connect with us beyond just a typical bartender. They were so welcoming and made the exerience so much more enjoyable than it already would have been. Our butlers Rodrigo and Antonio were amazing as well, providing such a positive and warm environment where I felt comfortable asking for their help/asking questions. The spa was a whole other insane, amazing, experience. The free hydrotherapy once a day truly took this trip above and beyond and all staff in the spa were amazing, creating a relaxing, calm, pampering environment. I love Le Blanc so much and want to go every year!!!

Pros:
Standout spa and hydrotherapy area - highlight of the resort.
Service - everyone was attentive and welcoming.
Food was better than standard all inclusive.
Pool area was nice - we prefer the beach (you can be at a pool anywhere - why go to Mexico for a pool??)
Cons:
Really really turned off by their push to sell you a membership. We said no multiple times to the sales pitch meeting during check in and the concierge kept pushing it. I felt they were not respectful of the no. The extra $400 for agreeing to attend the meeting didn’t matter to me. They asked us the next morning if we had thought more about it - making me feel like I needed to avoid the concierge area as it made me feel very uncomfortable. No means no.
Then - as we were leaving (we checked out a day early) they were trying to push another $299 offer to us - literally as we were walking out to our transportation. Reminded us of how irritating the first pitch was - left a sour taste in our mouth.
The rooms feel a little dated and the in room hot tub felt odd to me - but some people really love that - so that’s just a personal preference.
Overall:
We liked the stay but the sales pitches really turned us off and I’m not sure that I will return to their properties because of this.
If you are ok with these types of sales tactics, I would recommend this resort as every other part of the actual hotel and services were great. The spa was incredible!

This is a fabulous luxury vacation. The staff works very hard to serve guests in any way possible and keep the facilities clean. Food and drinks are top-quality delicious, especially considering that it’s an all-inclusive hotel. There are various pools in different areas that allow for a variety of relaxing or fun experiences, and that doesn’t even include the beach area with more loungers and waiters. The sand and swimming in the ocean is the best! I would highly recommend for a couples or friends getaway. Shout out to the coffee shop!

I read the reviews about the service being terrible but I didn’t listen… if I could give zero stars I would. They are not accommodating at all. Our flights were delayed so I let them talk us into staying at the sister resort moon palace. $3000 later and they can’t even provide transport! I’m going to their hotel and they told us to get an UBER. Excuse me! $7000 total in the 8 days and you can’t spare transport with the palace shuttle service they have? Pick another place to go. The buffet is terrible and the only reservations available for dinner is 8 -9pm at night. The tables in the restaurants are open, but they don’t seat them. Also no buffet for dinner so you’re married to a dinner reservation.
The room service was very good tho.
The pools are small and there aren’t enough chairs to go around. Also you cannot save chairs. You need to pay extra to get a seat on the beach that’s in the sun.
The bed was comfortable and the water pressure is great.
I would not return or recommend it for the price.

Sun palace Cancún was the perfect place to celebrate our honeymoon. Between the spa and beauty salon, we had the best experiences with staff there. Beatriz, Valeri, Marta, and Deysi were all amazing. Valeri was very nice and started fun conversations. Beatriz was so funny and was a great teammate with Valeri during our mani/pedi. Lizabeth was our favorite waitress while at the pool and beach. Perfect vacation.

This is certainly a very expensive resort, but without a doubt it is also an exceptional one, and we did not regret the expense at all. The facility is beautiful, impeccably maintained, and very clean, with little sign of wear and tear. The rooms are large, spacious, and exceptionally well equipped, offering a perfect balance of comfort and luxury.
The food is on another level. It is creative, plentiful, beautifully presented, and thoughtfully plated, with an impressive variety. The four restaurants were all distinctly different and showcased a great deal of creativity. The buffet exceeded expectations, featuring special touches such as Christmas pastries and breads, a yogurt bar, and a wide range of options. The alcohol selection was also excellent, offering a great variety of high-quality drinks that were well prepared.
What truly sets this resort apart is the staff. Everyone was incredibly friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The location is fantastic, the pool area is beautiful, and despite the resort being full, it never felt overcrowded or chaotic. Everything felt calm, relaxed, and well managed. Overall, this is an outstanding resort, and we could not be more pleased with our stay.

4.5 star luxury resort, 300ish rooms, really close to airport, all rooms are ocean view, free nightly entertainment, worth the money. All rooms are amazing, so don’t worry about which room to pick from. Great service from all staff, special thanks to Christian (concierge) who has been incredible to deal with.
There are 4 restaurants, Thai, Italian, International (mostly Mexican cuisine), and Fuego (grill). Thai being the smallest so it’s hardest to get reservations for.
Hotel being luxury it tend to cater to an older demographic, as a number of nightly shows contain 80s/90s themes. Average age of guest is probably 47.
For first time guests, one advice is to check in and go relax. Skip the vacation planner, public relations desk and skip the presentation person for another day as those three can take a very very long time. Unlike other major hotel chains where you earn status from frequent stays, at Palace Resorts you have to buy status and their sales team can be extremely aggressive. So come back to them once you are rested.
Guests are entitled to resort credits but they come with a lot of asterisks and exclusions so dont feel like you have to use them. If I do have a complaint it would be the resort credits. Palace, stop making it so hard to spend them!!!

Still here and have been through absolute hell haven't slept due to finding a absolutely cockroache infestation in our room last night. After throwing a shirt in the dirty clothes pile and 4 cockroaches of all different sizes skatterd .(generation of them) . We upgraded to the honeymoon suit and are members at this resort. The hotel is supposedly full booked and we got put into a room that have shared entry doors. With some on3 else. The room is on the 2nd floor and faces the road. The outside terrace was never cleaned and had mouse poop , dirty dishes with hair and garbage all over....we were being super understanding due to this happing at 2am in the morning. We did not sleep due to the fact that when we were packing the stuff out of our room I found a 1" and half cockroach in my shirts. We went to the lobby at 8am to speak about our new room as we're told this one was temporary. We were told when the manager gets in he will come and talk to us about options. After 1 the manager had still hasn't come out. At this point we are tired and mad about having all our stuff in the bags and no whwre to stay. We were only seeking being compensated for the upgrade. The guest services guy had the balls to say why u stayed in the room and u were only inconvenienced a hour or 2...... at 3pm still no manager. Absolutely discussing. Cockroaches were literally everywhere. Shower,closet, Coffey maker, the tub and the dresser.
