We stayed in a fabulous room with a private pool and loved it!
Service was good- anytime I asked for something it was taken care of. But trying to get shuttle service around the resort was difficult for us; we wound up walking a lot, which was fine, but I know might be difficult for older folks.
While staying at the Grand Palladium, my husband and I got a couple’s massage, participated in a friend’s wedding, went swimming in the pool and at the beach, paddle boarded, and purchased a romantic dinner. The wedding and the romantic dinner got rained out… the wedding was still able to happen outdoors about an hour later than originally planned but our romantic dinner was moved to a restaurant which was kind of a bummer since we were really paying more for the beach experience than the food. The food everywhere was OK, but nothing terribly special (we never ate at an a la carte restaurant, though).
One thing I did not appreciate was how the concierge who welcomed us kind of tricked us into a breakfast the next morning with a rep from the palladium travel club. I’ve never been to a resort and wasn’t prepared to try and be sold a travel package like this my first morning there. It was a little irritating but once we figured out what was going on, my husband and I kindly declined and got a coupon for a couples massage that was much less than we would have spent otherwise and was really excellent.
So if you visit, I recommend trying the a la carte restaurants, visiting the spa, and setting up an excursion. We went to Dunn’s Falls and on a catamaran/snorkeling trip at Ocho Rios. It was wonderful but a FAR drive from the resort. I wish we would have been able to go swimming with dolphins and parasailing, but I guess I’ll just have to try that next time!

We are a group of 13 people and went to Poseidon restaurant and Kara was our server, she was phenomenal! She was very attentive, drinks were constantly being topped up, food came out quickly and she kept us up to date with our order. Extremely friendly, lovely to meet her!

Love Love love! The experience from time we set foot on their property until we left was amazing! My husband and I got married here with 80 guests, everyone was pleased and accommodated for. Food was amazing. Drinks were perfect. Enough activities for all ages.
Only thing we did not receive was our free stay for honeymoon, we stayed 9 nights with 80 guests and did not receive any free stays as promised.

Disappointed and let down — not the vacation we hoped for
We were excited to stay at Grand Palladium Jamaica Resort & Spa, but our experience was incredibly disappointing. We were moved to three different rooms due to ongoing issues — including a ceiling leak that woke us in the middle of the night. The disruption was significant and impacted our sleep and overall comfort.
Staff were generally polite, but communication and resolution were severely lacking. We were initially offered a $100 resort credit and a 25-minute massage, which we accepted. However, both were later withdrawn with no explanation, and we were told we'd only be compensated with one night’s refund — despite the fact that our vacation was disrupted enough that we chose to cut our trip short and go home early.
We gave the resort multiple opportunities to make this right. No one followed up. No one seemed to take responsibility. For a place that markets itself as a luxury destination, the way this situation was handled was incredibly unprofessional and disappointing.
We don’t leave negative reviews lightly, but guests deserve transparency — and better treatment. I hope management seriously reconsiders how they respond to guest issues going forward.

I enjoyed my time at Azul for my sister’s wedding. The spa is one of the best parts, very serene and an excellent massage.
I loved getting my daily iced coffees and hitting the gym. The many pools were nice and clean and the location can’t be topped. The beach was so lovely!!
It can get crowded when there’s many guests and hard to reserve a spot on the beach.
Lots of the entertainment staff were awesome!! So friendly and funny and FUN. Shout out to TT and Mr Beat 😎
Some things I would improve … water stocked more regularly in the mini fridge, more patties available, and more beach towels available.
The wedding planning staff, Carla and Dwight were PHENOMENAL and helped make my sister’s day go off without a hitch. They were attentive, organized, and very helpful with all requests.

I recently stayed at Azul Beach Resort in Negril to celebrate my grandma’s 60th, and it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. The resort is beautiful with lush gardens, clean pathways, and a gorgeous beach very close to the bedrooms. Our room was modern, spacious, and spotless, with comfortable beds and a lovely private balcony.
The only issue we encountered was with the door panel, which required a few trips to reception, but the staff always handled it promptly and professionally.
What truly made the stay special was the incredible staff. Damien, Kimberly, and Alphonso at the bar were especially attentive with every request and kind. The nightly entertainment was a highlight for me as it was fun, engaging, and well organised. Mr. Beat brought unmatched energy throughout the night with his dancing and Anton kept everyone entertained with his smooth, humorous hosting.
I already miss Azul and can’t wait to return on my next trip to Negril. I highly recommend!

Not a place for me to revisit. Room cleaned with no towel replacement. When asked, had to wait overnight. No towels till next afternoon. Housekeeping was closed as early as 6pm. Ran out of beach towels by noon. Power was out for 2 hours, no notice. Water out one morning, working on it, no notice. Everything closes at 5-6pm. No night life. Travel excursions took you directly to family favorites. Huge rooms, not enough seating. One couch one chair. No table. Not handicap accessible. Resort clearly going down.

If I could take the staff with me on all future vacations I would. They were fantastic. Like any resort there are a few staff members that did not enjoy their work but 99% of the team I dealt with went above and beyond. Warm, friendly and welcoming to say the least. The resort itself is dated and not what I was expecting with many of the decks and boardwalks in need of replacement. The couch in our room could do with cleaning as it was dirty and I would not sit on it without a towel. The major disappointment was the food. Karisma resorts are known for the dinning experience which is one of the reasons why I decided to go there. This was not the case here, not terrible but certainly not great either. One of the things I look forward to when I go to the Caribbean is the fresh tropical fruit but the only had unripe melons and Kiwi fruit most days. Many other guest stated the same and left the resort to get authentic Jamaican food. In short I would not go there again unless there were major improvements which is sad as I would love to see the staff again.

I’m sure the 5 star reviews are fake on here. This resort is terrible top to bottom. My kids including the one year old haven’t had one meal since we arrived yesterday, the food is terrible. I’m pretty sure food poising is right at the top, all the dairy is left at room temperature for hours…. It’s disgusting. It’s my day 2, we are booked for 11 days and I need
To figure out what the hell I’m going to do, we’re starving.
And it’s definitely not a family friendly resort. So many death traps in the rooms, and the rooms are old and dirty.

This was our first time in Jamaica, and Moon Palace came highly recommended by people I really trust—and they weren’t wrong.
From the moment we arrived, everything just felt right. The service was on point, the staff were friendly and always willing to help, and the overall vibe of the place was peaceful and welcoming. You can tell they really care about the guest experience.
The hotel itself is beautiful and sits in a great location. It’s right on the water, and the views are amazing. Whether we were relaxing by the pool, walking along the beach, or just enjoying the ambience—it all felt effortless.
Honestly, this was a solid choice and a great first impression of Jamaica. I’d definitely come back.

The hotel is nice but it can be much better, They have only 3 elevators which meant we had to queue to get on the elevator and sometimes it takes too long to get an elevator. The service was just OK but not good enough for an all inclusive hotel. The food was just OK. Overall I have been to better resort in Jamaica.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Moon Palace, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience! The resort exceeded my expectations in every way. From the stunning architecture to the pristine beaches and lush gardens, every detail was meticulously taken care of.
The staff were warm, friendly, and attentive, ensuring that our every need was met. The food was incredible, with a wide variety of delicious options to suit every taste.
The amenities were top-notch, with multiple pools, water parks, and activities to keep everyone entertained. I especially loved the nightly entertainment and live music.
The rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable, with breathtaking views of the ocean or gardens.
Overall, Moon Palace is a true paradise!

Our recent stay at Moon Palace was overall average, with a mix of positives and negatives.
Positives:
The resort itself is beautiful, and they clearly take pride in maintaining it. The grounds are clean and well-kept, with lots of family-friendly events and activities for both kids and adults.
As a group of 19, we chose Moon Palace specifically because they claimed to be able to accommodate a large family gathering and make it special.
The staff member who made coffee and crepes was wonderful — friendly, kind, and a real highlight of our trip.
There are many options and activities across the resort, and the overall layout is easy to navigate.
Negatives:
For my family of five, this was the most expensive trip we’ve ever taken for the time we were there. At that price point, I expected much more. Had the cost been lower, my rating would have been higher.
Our rooms were average at best. Since they had no five-person rooms available, we had to book two separate rooms, which were basic, small, and the bathrooms were a bit cramped. I also wish the bathroom doors were solid rather than partially see-through.
Unfortunately, some of the staff were rude and seemed to use “the rules” as a reason not to do what was reasonable or right. This was especially noticeable at some restaurants, where staff would turn away guests for “no reservations” even when the place was visibly empty. One night, we saw a family get turned away, and for the next two hours, at least ten tables sat empty with no other customers arriving.
The pizza spots — both the outdoor lunch area and the indoor one — were frustrating. There was hardly anything available, and it felt like they deliberately made guests wait so long that people would give up. Instead of preparing enough food for the constant lines, they’d make one item at a time, creating unnecessary delays.
We had spa credits included in our package but were told they could only be used for something else if we sat through a timeshare-style presentation, which seemed unfair given how much we had already spent on this trip.
Overall:
Our trip was not the worst, but definitely not the best. There were some staff members who were amazing and friendly, but not everyone shared that attitude, which made parts of our stay uncomfortable. I might consider trying another Moon Palace in the future, but only at a better price and hopefully at a location with more consistently friendly service.

We took a trip to Moon Palace Jamaica with five families, and we’re still talking about how amazing it was! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome and taken care of. The service was top-notch, and the resort had something for everyone—kids, teens, and adults alike.
We especially loved gathering for meals at the wide variety of restaurants—every dish was delicious, and the service was always friendly and fast.
Traveling with a big group can sometimes be chaotic, but Moon Palace made it effortless. There was never a dull moment, and the memories we made together will last forever. If you're planning a group trip or family reunion, this resort is a fantastic choice. We truly enjoyed every single moment.

We recently stayed at Couples Turtle Isles and were absolutely blown away by the exceptional experience—this resort truly deserves every one of its five stars!
First and foremost, the housekeeping services were extraordinary. The meticulous attention to detail and consistent excellence set a new standard for hospitality. In fact, the housekeeping team’s dedication and high standards could serve as a global benchmark for how hotel housekeeping should be conducted.
A huge shout-out also goes to the executive chef, who went above and beyond to accommodate our special dietary requests, particularly our craving for breadfruit,. His thoughtfulness and culinary expertise made our stay even more delightful and memorable.
Additionally, the bellhop team deserves special mention. Their warmth, genuine hospitality, and eagerness to assist created a welcoming atmosphere right from the moment we arrived.
We also want to extend a special thanks to our wonderful driver who took us back to the airport at 7 AM on June 9. Though we unfortunately don’t remember his name, his amazing sense of humor, friendly demeanor, and safe driving made the typically tedious airport transfer exceptionally enjoyable and memorable.
The resort itself provided incredible entertainment and a unique, relaxing vibe that’s both chill and effortlessly cool. Couples Turtle Isles offers an experience you simply won’t find elsewhere—one that’s enjoyable, stress-free, and genuinely special.

Just back from a week at Couples Tower Isle resort. Wonderful stay in paradise. Excellent experience from start to finish. The staff are outstanding and go out of their way to make you feel welcomed.
Special thanks to Jada, activities coordinator, who gave us the grand tour of the property the day we arrived. I’ve worked in hospitality for over 30 years and I could tell right away that Jada is incredibly gifted at reading people. Her charm, charisma and dedication to making guests feel welcomed and valued really stood out. She is a shining star and has an amazing career ahead of her.

We stayed in a Deluxe Ocean View room, which I believe is located in one of the original buildings. Many of the original features—such as the floor and wall tiles, stair banisters, and finishings—have been preserved, giving the space a unique, boutique-style charm. It truly felt like a classic Jamaican experience. Both the property and the room were exceptionally clean.
The staff, despite a no-tipping policy, were incredibly friendly and accommodating. They made an effort to remember our names and checked in on us daily. It’s thoughtful gestures like these that made our stay especially memorable.
There were plenty of all-inclusive activities to enjoy. We went snorkeling, took a glass-bottom boat ride, and participated in a tie-dye shirt activity—all of which were a lot of fun.
The food was excellent. The buffet changed daily and offered a variety of flavorful options. A highlight was “Jamaica Day” on Wednesdays, featuring a full Jamaican-inspired buffet and local vendors by the poolside selling souvenirs.
Overall, it was a fantastic and charming place. We can’t wait to come back.

The staff was fantastic, the balcony suite overlooking the island was amazing.
You can hear the waves from your window & balcony.
The gym was adequate and all the equipment was working.

If your vacation vision involves a lush, intimate escape without the flash and fanfare of massive resorts, Sunset at the Palms delivers in style. The rooms are so cozy! No concrete jungle. The low-key, adults‑only vibe is amazing. It’s extremely quiet and peaceful and there is no poolside techno music. Which was greatly appreciated. A crossing guard helps guests reach the private beach club which is a short walk across the street. The staff are very attentive and friendly. The staff on the beach also did a great job of keeping the peddlers away.
Sunset at the Palms was a romantic, restful haven for us. We definitely preferred its serene Indo‑Caribbean charm over resort spectacle. It’s not the place for loud parties or all-night entertainment—but we valued its personalized service, delectable food, a swim‑up bar, and beachside bliss without crowds, you’ll love it.

We loved our stay at the Sunset at the Palms. The property is incredibly beautiful and well kept. There is ample security and you feel very safe while you are there. They arrange all transportation for you if you leave the resort, which we utilized a couple times. They had their drivers wait for us everywhere we went, and insured they knew when we were coming back as well. The food was outstanding. Since it’s a smaller resort with around 85 rooms, the staff and cooks are local and trained very well. They prepare very authentic food. It was delicious. I came back to America missing the food, I felt a lot healthier as well while I was there. Our treehut was adorable. We had an issue with the first room we were in, but they were quick to put us in a new room and gave us a bottle of champagne as well. It was the perfect location for our honeymoon. The private beach was awesome and so relaxing. We spent so much time in the water and laying on the chairs. This is one of the best vacations I’ve ever been on! I highly recommend staying here, you won’t be disappointed!

If you want a small personal resort experience this is it! No concrete jungle here just 75 rooms and everything is very personal! The beach and pool are small but we always had covered seats on the beach and poolside seating was easy as well. Met great people both at the resort and the guests. The food was very good and whatever you wanted was was taken care of! It's not what people think of when "resort" comes to mind but it is one of the best weeks I've had in a long time!

We came here for our honeymoon, to spend 1 week after 1 week of travelling by car through Jamaica. We were hoping for somewhere relaxing, beautiful, calm, with good food and drinks, good beach experience and a comfortable hotel. We found that and more. A hotel is more than a place to stay and do things, I think a truly good hotel experience needs to be a an overall experience where you really feel detached from daily life. This is one of the best hotel experience we ever had, not because it was the fanciest or the biggest or with the best food offer, but because we felt so good there everyday and the overall experience was great.
Of all the good things, for us the best thing was the staff. They were all great, authentic, proactive, professional but warm and welcoming. They would even anticipate our needs, like one time a couple of cocktails were brought to us after we finished ours and didn’t need to ask. On the last day we went to say goodbye to Andrice who served us so well at the beach, and she gave us a Jamaica key ring. Truly a great experience that I find rare nowadays in Hotels.
Other great things, the food in the beach (I must have ordered the jerk chicken and onion rings like 10 times), the drinks (ask for Bananacolada with coconut rum at the pool!), the music (Piano Paul always rocking the piano), the BBQ night (such AMAZING ribs), the beach (no concrete mega structures, just the palm trees, nice safety guard, water without rocks and good mix of shade and sun) and the room (with a balcony with a duvet where one can lie down during a tropical rain).
We had never said we would return to a hotel, but this one will probably change that. We just know that when we want days on the Caribbean with good service, good beach and good food and drinks, this place will be there for us.

We absolutely love sunset at the Palms. My wife and I stayed at the resort March 2025. We found this resort to be utterly charming. Food was amazing and the staff were so hospitable and attentive to our every need. The grounds were immaculate! The bird song And tree frogs brought so much joy to our hearts. We stayed in the 700s section and it was pure bliss. We loved our room, especially the balcony with the daybed. We took more than one nap together outdoors, listening to the sounds of nature before dinner. The beach was amazing and the staff catered to every need. Food and drinks from the beachside bar were wonderful though, I would recommend Taking one day to go over to the Office of nature for their lobster, OMG!
Yes, there were a few vendors hawking their wears on the beach, but all it took was a simple no thank you and they left us alone. Love the buskers who came along and played live music to serenade us. Donovan is the best!
The bartenders were so friendly and professional. By all means be sure to catch Paul at the piano bar. Thanks again sunset at the Palms we’re already making plans for our return.

I don’t know if I’ll recommend this resort as I am a tough critic on food and drink and this resort needs some upgrade in quality. Best restaurant was the hibachi but idk guys, I feel like I woke up with knots in my stomach every day after that. Service was great though, everyone was kind and attentive. And again, Kenroy and Duran!!!! They would have something ready for us before we even asked. It’s amazing that 2 people can work together so well and treat us like the only girls in the world. I miss those two dearly already!
It was my cousin’s birthday and Kenroy and Duran treated her like royalty all day and secretly decorated for her while we were gone.
Pools were nice and beach access on the other side of your swim up room was great, too! Can’t promise I’ll be back but if I do, it’ll definitely be as a preferred member again! Thank you all for everything!

This hotel exceeded my expectations in every way! The adults-only, all-inclusive resort offered luxurious amenities, stunning ocean views, and impeccable service. We had our honeymoon here and had a wonderful experience. Other than the room not being ready when we checked in and having to wait for an hour and a half, the service was great. Our butlers Kenton and Betty were truly fantastic - so kind, helpful, and accommodating!! And Kadesha is so so sweet and lovely. The food was delicious at every restaurant and the Piano Lounge has the best drinks :) Give our regards to Blaze!! He was the life of the party and our favorite entertainer! We will definitely be recommending this place to others 😊

Feels more like a 3-star than a 5-star one. This is a "party" hotel where you get music entertainment for mid-aged people. They do annoying things, though, like sometimes different music from several places so that you hear both quite loudly at the beach and the music overlaps. This is just not that great.
The service at the beach is mostly not there, although in one spot there was a waiter who did a great job.
The rooms show their age and would deserve a proper deep cleaning once in a while.
The food is good for a 3-star hotel, sub-par for a 5-star one. The prices for non-included things (like spa and some shops they have) are absurd, though. E.g. USD 40 for a sun protection spray or USD 109 for 50 minutes Spa. This would be fine if it was actually 5-star but not for what they actually provide.
The sunset, the beach, and the location are great though.
I'll likely won't join this hotel again.

We came here for our honeymoon and had a 10/10 experience from start to finish! From arriving and passing our luggage to the bellman, checking in, room service, dining, pools, bars, and entertainment, every single staff made us feel at home and like we were always the most important people. Beautiful views and plenty included. We added on a couples massage and would highly recommend as well. There are a variety of activities depending on your adventure level. We would recommend to anyone!

Secrets St. James was a good time! We were there to celebrate my sister's birthday. It had plenty of activities and fun in the sun. The check-in and checkout process needs major improvement, as the wait times are ridiculous. The food at the buffet was decent. Room service was clutch with the exception of one order in which I was given "old" chicken wings and fries that seemed to have been sitting for a while before being served to me. Naomi at the Secrets Spa gave an incredible massage experience! Ricky Ricardo at the spa was also very helpful with the hydro experience after my massage. We had a phenomenal time at Altitude Rooftop Restaurant on my sister's birthday. The staff were very accommodating and the food was good. Overall, I would consider returning to Secrets St. James.

Good things: water was beautiful, the room was good. The food was really good (when the restaurants were open) the kettle drum show was excellent!
Bad things: the staff made if very clear they do NOT LIKE tourists. In fact we caught the staff a few different times making fun of people, it got so bad my husband actually called them out on it. The shops are rarely open if ever. And your never sure which restaurant was open because every night one of them is closed. But if you do get to eat the food is really good, the buffet was excellent. Don't bother bringing a lot of tip money because the staff could really care less about tips. The resort itself needs some work as well, Secrets has really gone downhill. Jamaica is definitely not what it used to be (was there 18 years ago)will never go back.

Update: I called Hyatt corporate and told them about my experience as well. A manager has YET to reach out to me. They don’t care.
The resort is nice but the rooms are dirty. When I arrived in my room was not cleaned properly. There was sand on the floor. The room smelled beyond what was expected just for humidity. They had to come and actually clean the room. They never cleaned under the sink. It seemed. Whenever I request to have my room cleaned, they do the bare minimum. I found mold behind one of the sinks. they also do not properly clean out the glass cups. also, my pillowcases smelled like wet dog And I found blood on one of them.
If I were to stay at secrets again, I would try wild orchid. But I don’t know if it’s any better.

On vacation there April 13, 2025. Overall, the resort is a very nice place. If you are going there to vacation couple things, the beaches are small. Cannot do a lot of walking. The sit down restaurants give yourself at least an hour and a half. The buffet is awesome. The staff was polite, except the Hotel maids were not over the talkative. The pools and pool bars were very nice. Bartenders were very pleasant. Activities around the pool were nice. The entertainment was pretty much the same thing every night. A little variation, but not a lot. But like I said overall, very nice resort I would go there again.

Room- Ok nothing special, clean comfortable bed. Very dated.
Staff- Mostly friendly, especially if you tip them. (Even though it’s meant to be a tip free hotel.) Special mention to Al-Jay down at the swim up bar who is particularly rude to the English guests and won’t even speak to us.
Food and Drinks- Fantastic range of drinks and beautiful cooked food. Particularly enjoyed the Jerk Chicken and the breakfast buffet.
Entertainment - Very good standard, the resident band are brilliant especially when you’re stoned.
Water sports - Good selection to keep you entertained. King Julian and his snorkelling trips are excellent. 🐠
Pools - Nice but not the cleanest.
Beach - Absolutely beautiful, just wish the vendors would leave me to enjoy it in peace.
Sports Complex - Everything you need for a decent workout.
I should also mention that some staff at the hotel are constantly asking guests for money and we were approached a few times by staff asking if we go get them jerk or food from the all inclusive buffet. I feel like this is a problem with the hotel management not paying and feeding them well enough.

My husband and I enjoyed our very first trip to Jamaica and absolutely loved our time at Couples Swept away! The staff was absolutely amazing, so many memorable people!! Shania was very engaging, from making sure we knew what was going on for entertainment to teaching me her fabulous dance moves! She was so incredibly sweet and a pleasure to be around. Kayla was absolutely fantastic as well! Renaldo checked in with us every day making sure we were enjoying ourselves and making sure we didn’t miss out on anything!

We totally enjoyed our glass bottom boat tour with Captain King Julian, he was very entertaining and enthusiastic, we had a blast!

We found ourselves going back to the palms multiple times and had the BEST experience with Sharie. She was so friendly, giggly, and had the best personality. She gave such great service and made our suppers such a great experience.
Julian also did snorkeling AND the glass bottom boat and created such a fun environment. He made it such a fun experience!

Highly recommended!!! My husband and I had the best time at this resort. Exquisite service from everyone we had the pleasure of meeting. The grounds are out-of-this-world beautiful and great for strolling around. The rooms are spacious and clean and the food (we ate at all of the restaurants) is excellent! We booked a couples massage with Simone and Jackie and both women were true masters of their craft, in addition to being so lovely and welcoming. We were sad to leave and can't wait to go back again next year.

Staff changes happen- so you really can't go by 1 person's experience. The place is absolutely gorgeous. I would have given it 6 stars with the exception of the food. The food has been mediocre this year. This is my 3rd time coming to this resort- I don't know if they just have some key kitchen staff on vacation, or they are training some new ones. But this time/ this year - it's not cutting it.

Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted with champagne and smiles, which made for a lovely first impression. The hospitality at check-in truly set a welcoming tone. The rooms were clean and modern, offering a stylish space to relax. However, the bedding left much to be desired — the sheets felt clingy and less comfortable than what I’ve experienced at other resorts and hotels.
One of the major drawbacks was the lack of consistent hot water in the shower. Additionally, since the rooms are accessed from the outside, we encountered quite a few bugs at night — including, unfortunately, a roach near our door. I understand the outdoor setting invites nature, but that was a bit unsettling.
The food overall was underwhelming. It lacked both variety and flavor, and the portions felt modest. That said, we absolutely loved Casanova — by far the best dining experience at the resort. The main buffet and service were just average. While the staff were generally polite, many seemed tired or disengaged, which is not what you’d expect from a so-called “5-star resort.”
There’s no shortage of activities — we particularly enjoyed kayaking and lounging by the pool. However, the “mineral pool” appeared neglected and in need of cleaning and refurbishment. Seeing bugs and debris on the steps was off-putting. The hot tub near the main swim-up bar was also poorly maintained, with leaves and dead insects floating around — something a simple, regular cleaning could easily fix.
Overall, the resort offers a beautiful setting and is a nice place to unwind. One major perk is the complimentary taxi transfer from the airport, which is a thoughtful touch. That said, despite its luxury branding, the resort doesn’t quite deliver on the 5-star experience it promotes online. I’m not typically one to complain, but having traveled extensively — from cruises to various international resorts — I’ve stayed in better accommodations at similar or even lower price points.
If you choose to stay here, you’ll likely still enjoy your time, but temper your expectations. This isn’t the ultra-luxurious all-inclusive experience many might expect based on its marketing.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Couples Sans Souci. We stayed in the Carnation building and the newly renovated room was extremely spacious and comfortable. The property is a gem. Beautiful greenery, and hidden spots to lounge. We loved starting our day at the mineral pool and ending it at the beach. Casanova restaurant was our favorite spot for dinner. The menu was different both nights and the service was top notch. Would love to go back to Couples Sans Souci one day.

The resort is in a great location with a stunning beach—clear water, soft sand, and peaceful surroundings. The grounds are beautiful and well-maintained, and the setting is perfect for a relaxing getaway.
Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end. The hotel rooms are very outdated and in need of serious renovation. Furniture felt old, and the bathrooms were worn and not up to standard.
The food was the biggest disappointment. Across all restaurants, the quality was poor. Dishes were often bland or overcooked, and I experienced stomach problems after eating at several of them. The buffet had a very limited selection, and the food often looked unappealing and tasted just as bad. Even worse, I noticed bugs in the dessert section multiple times, which was very concerning.
Another issue was with the staff communication and knowledge. Many staff members, including those at reception, seemed confused or unsure when we asked about basic things like excursion details, bar hours, or how the towel process worked. We were often given conflicting answers from different employees, which made things frustrating and inconvenient.
Overall, while the beach and location are excellent, the poor food, outdated rooms, and lack of consistent staff knowledge made for a disappointing experience. I expected more from a resort with this reputation.

We absolutely loved spending our honeymoon here. We got a beachfront suite and found it well worth the extra money - our room was amazing.
We did a lot of the excursions - snorkeling, catamaran, massage. We even did the private boat cruise, which blew our expectations away! We had England and Captian Max on our private cruise and they made it an amazing time.
Food was great. Location on the beach was great. Nightly entertainment was great. We would recommend for to anyone looking for a perfect mix of peace and adventure.

Wrapping up a vacation for a few days. Trust all the reviews. Excellent experience, beach and ocean is just fantastic. Things that surprised us....1. super close to the road/highway, lots of noise. 2. Breakfast started at 7:30am. As many have said it's an older crowd, by 7:30 there is a long line to start. 3. No bottled water. there are filling stations but it's not cold nor the freshest tasting. 4. The toilets in the rooms offer little privacy. 5. We were in a major minority as this was our first time, met many who had been here 5+ times. That's a true testament on an establishment in my opinion. While we truly enjoyed it, we don't plan to come back we like to experience and explore a variety of locations.

We received excellent service at this resort. The customer service is outstanding 10 out of 10. We had the butler service and we also ran into some really great waiters. One of the best was Donatello at altitude restaurant and at breathless breakfast buffet so awesome. We will be back just for Donatello and our great Butler service Raynard and Craig also so caring! We are grateful we booked here…. The blue Mountain restaurant has authentic Jamaican food, and it was amazing as well

The room was nice however we had an issue with plumbing. We had no hot water.
For breathless to be the “exclusive” side (secrets is connected and within a 5 min walk) all of the amenities are on the secrets side.
A lot of things went wrong at this resort including the breakfast in bed I ordered (extra $200) not only not coming on time but was the wrong order. Dinner on the beach was missed as we were not told it’s a 20min walk and our bullet was MIA (that was an additional $400). The spa was a nice experience but again.. it’s on the secrets resort side as well as the beach and cabanas that you cannot order food from. I would never recommend Breathless. Just stay on the Secrets Resort side.
PS. Breathless actually serves drink, drinks and the Secrets side drinks are more like juice. Drink responsibly 😎

Rooms are showing their age. Scratches, dents, mold etc. rooms are not cleaned well at all. Could still see rings on the coffee table after cleaning. Tub and faucet were all filthy. Maintenance problems persisted the whole week of our stay. Fuses blowing, jacuzzi not working, air conditioning not cooling, stuck doors and on and on. One day we were asked to leave the room for six hours do they could fix the jacuzzi tub and next day it was broke again. The sliding door has no handles on the outside so you cannot close the door if you are on the deck. The closet has no light so you cannot see anything. The drawer in the closet bangs on the door every time you open it. The lights are a joke to try to figure out. Bartenders are rude and cannot make any drink that is not some pre made frozen concoction. Front desk useless. Called for towels three times never got any had to go to the pool. Butler service was a joke! There is no service never heard from this guy until he wanted a tip at the end of the week. Restaurants and lounges are not air conditioned making them uncomfortable and you are prey for mosquitoes. Beach is quite a hike and most of the chairs are very uncomfortable. This hotel was only at at 30% occupancy when we stayed, I cannot even imagine it at peak season. Very disappointing experience.

The rooms smell of mildew and it’s very potent. There’s mold in the room as you can see in the photos. I believe this is because the showers are in the middle of the room which seems to have no fan to get rid of the steam post shower. I am unpacking and my clothes reek of the mildew scent.
Every night there’s a party going on and the rooftop view is amazing.

My husband and I went here for our Honeymoon in June 2025. The staff was really nice and hospitable. When we got to our room it was clean except it was missing Robes and umbrellas (which it was raining the first two days of our stay). The balcony tub was not clean so we had to call housekeeping to clean it. The bed was VERY firm and not friendly to my back although my husband slept well. We also could not get a hold of washcloths which we asked for repeatedly so that was frustrating.
We told the staff about our honeymoon and they gave us a nice door decoration and some charcuterie and room temperature champagne.
We also had access via a sky bridge to the Secrets side - which had WAY more food options as well as the beach. There was a man grilling jerk chicken everyday at Secrets but we never knew what time and where he would be. When we did catch him- The chicken was so good.
As far as restaurants- was not a fan of fishnets (on the breathless side). We went to breakfast at breathless our first morning and the food was good with the exception of moldy banana bread. We went to Secrets for breakfast for the rest of our trip after that. There was also Jamaican food available at some restaurants so that was a plus.
There’s engaging entertainment all day at both breathless and secrets so you won’t really get bored. Only other issue I had with breathless was that two out of the three hot tubs were not working (including the one on the rooftop) so that was disappointing.
I will say any issues we had on the property were immediately addressed. The staff made the visit five stars.

All around amazing experience at Round Hill. The property is beautiful, timeless and pristine. The beach is perfect and the staff was fantastic. Special shout outs to Colleen, Shashana and the kitchen crew at Villa 10. They took great care of us, made breakfast an experience and kept the vibes high every morning. Also Bunny the groundskeeper at Villa 10 is an artist. Pristine property.
Owen on the bell staff was very kind and helpful and went out of his way to help us rent a guitar for the weekend.
Gavin was great on the concierge staff.
We also did a catamaran adventure one day. Thanks to Captain Sardine and his very fun crew. Shout out to Kenroy for guiding the snorkeling adventure and making it very memorable!
Round Hill is an amazing property with a fantastic staff. 10/10. Anyone who gets the privilege to stay here is lucky!

As our taxi driver shared with us, you need to find a Jamaican resort that suits you. Round Hill suited my wife and I perfectly -- 110 acres of quiet beauty with multiple nooks to find rest and renewal. It's a unique property in the Caribbean. And the people! That's what makes all the difference. Sure, anyone can nitpick little things (yes, the rooms could be more soundproof; and there are young children), but the genuine hospitality of the staff coupled with the heritage-feeling of the resort create an absolutely perfect "home." Quiet setting. Beautiful walks. Delicious food. Smiling, devoted resort employees. This place is one of a kind. We met a couple from Denmark who have been coming for 30+ years. We would love to do the same thing.

First thing is the staff is very friendly, I stay for three days and I wanted to stay 😊 the ocean view is amazingly beautiful, don't get me started on the food, Located In Hopewell Montego Bay the resort has a private beach and a pool overlooking Montego Bay, the cruise ship terminal is right there too they also have a kids club and nanny service 😁 your vacation will be one to remember 😄 ❤️
