As a frequent traveler, I would rate this resort 2 out of 5. If you’re looking for a relaxing, scenic, and friendly environment with good food, this is not the hotel for you. We initially chose this hotel based on the pictures we saw and the amenities offered, but it turned out to be too good to be true.
Upon arrival, the front desk was overwhelmed with guests checking in, and the process moved quite slowly. There was no welcome beverage or gesture to greet us. We finally checked in after 4 PM, only to be informed that our room wasn’t ready yet. We ended up waiting an additional 45 minutes. When we finally got into our room, it felt more like a Motel 6 than a Hilton hotel. Although we had a king bed, the room was extremely small, barely accommodating two standard suitcases. The overall appearance was disappointing.
The food quality was mediocre at best. Ninety-five percent of the time, most restaurants were out of key items. We tried almost every dining option, sometimes arriving right when they opened, only to find that they had run out of things. Additionally, the staff did not exhibit the friendliness typically found at resorts; they seemed overworked and annoyed.
The resort itself is far from relaxing; it felt very overcrowded.

My husband and I have had a lovely getaway to the Hilton Rose Hall Resort.
Pros: The resort was absolutely beautiful. We enjoyed the “East Beach” which was quieter during the day and then would move towards the pool as people went in to prepare for dinner. Food was fine, about average for what you’d expect at an All Inclusive. We loved the Italian restaurant and had the best chickpeas ever at the Asian restaurant (would love the recipe!!). We did not try the Jerk Shack or Rum Factor as we don’t tend to like curried or heavily spiced food. The staff was lovely and was always pleasant.
Cons: There were a few things in our room (outlet, smoke detector?) that stayed lit up or flashed throughout the night which disrupted our sleep at times. Our toilet also ran frequently, filling up and emptying itself numerous times an hour. The bars did not have bananas throughout our stay, which limited the number of frozen drinks available.
You can tell the resort is older (compared to Hilton Cancun where we stayed in 2023) but this did not take away from our experience. We would absolutely come back and would recommend to anyone looking for a getaway.

My favorite hotel! From food to entertainment! The grounds are fabulous. Melanie and Shelly are the absolute best! They are great with the kiddos at the kids club. We enjoyed their warm and friendly service and hospitality. I will definitely be back at this resort.

I can't say enough good things about this place and its people. They have a great variety of nightly entertainment moving the stage to different locations every night. Kudos to the audio setup team. The acoustics sounded better than many concerts I've attended. The food and drinks were very good (though you could work on your margarita 😜) with enough restaurants to keep it different throughout the week. As many others have noted, the staff and the people of Jamaica were nothing short of amazing. They were very friendly and always laughing and having a good time. It was exceptionally clean considering the age of the resort. We did not smell mold even once. The grounds were nice and green and well manicured/clean. Hilton Rose Hall works hard and it shows. Great job!

Came here for our honeymoon and we’re beyond pleased with our stay. From our room to the beach, the entrance to our concierge, everything and everyone was fantastic. Very friendly and welcoming. Shy-Ann our concierge did a wonderful job decorating our room and helping us with our activities. Andrea our bartender made sure we were always hydrated ;).

This was our first time in Jamaica, and Moon Palace came highly recommended by people I really trust—and they weren’t wrong.
From the moment we arrived, everything just felt right. The service was on point, the staff were friendly and always willing to help, and the overall vibe of the place was peaceful and welcoming. You can tell they really care about the guest experience.
The hotel itself is beautiful and sits in a great location. It’s right on the water, and the views are amazing. Whether we were relaxing by the pool, walking along the beach, or just enjoying the ambience—it all felt effortless.

We had an incredible stay at this resort! Our Ocean View King Suite Jr was stunning, and the property's beauty and cleanliness exceeded our expectations 😍. But what truly made our experience special was the exceptional staff 🙌. Everyone we interacted with was kind, responsive, and respectful. A big thank you to Claudia for the warm welcome at reception, Byron for his helpfulness with our bags, Keerol for serving us drinks with a smile at the pool bar, and Claude for teaching my husband how to ride wind sail boat. The staff at the pool bars, restaurants, leading daily events and concierge were all commendable for their hospitality. We loved how the resort catered to both families and adults, offering a perfect blend of fun and relaxation ✌️. The afternoon events by the pool are led by the hotel staff and they were one of the most entertaining and fun times.
However, we have only one feedback, we would recommend the evening events as well to highlight the local Jamaican talent, reflecting their culture, music, people and Jamaican life.
Overall, we highly recommend this resort for an unforgettable vacation experience!

When we arrived at the resort, the Check-in Staff was very unwelcoming, there was also no one offering/serving a “welcoming drink”. We had 2 rooms & when the vacation was booked, we stated that we were travelling with a ‘special needs child’, requesting adjoining rooms or rooms close by. It seems as though the Resort totally overlooked that fact & proceeded to tell us we would not be getting our rooms until 4PM, the standard check-in time. We explained the urgency for at least 1 room to facilitate our Family’s needs. It took a little calmness to absorb the sulking Front Desk Staff as we didn’t want to sour the start of our vacation. To add to that, we had to put a USD $200 deposit for each room. At no time, were we ever informed by Air Canada Vacations, that a further deposit was required at the resort. An hour later, we were given access to 1 room.
The restaurant staff- some staff were great, some require customer & compassion training. Thanks to Tatiana (Buffet) John Noe (Steak House) Myisha (Asian), Chantel (Italian), just to name a few, but a ‘Real Big Up’ to Tyrone for having accommodated us with our ‘Special Needs’ grandchild for the last 3 nights of our vacation, making sure meals were prepared in a timely manner & showing human compassion towards us.
The pompous service we received from Judine, at the Steak House MUST BE Mentioned. We had been to the Steak House 3 times before & on our final night, Judine who had seen us 3 times already, proceeded to tell us we cannot sit at a table until the rest of our party was there. We almost lost it & told her we wanted to order food before our ‘Special Needs’ Grandson got there & you can keep your table until we tell the rest of our party to bring the child down to the restaurant. Somehow between Judine & Tia, they decided to let us sit when we asked to be in John Noe’s section. Our recommendation is that if staff like Judine cannot show human compassion outside of their canned training, then people with her personality should not be allowed as a “Host/Hostess”. As very experienced travellers, we certainly hope that the resort takes this complaint very seriously & place the appropriate staff in suitable positions.
We did not use the Kids Splash Pad as it was in the middle of the sun & creates a perception that the kids would be easily sunburned. The Kids Zone was enjoyable to my grandson.
We did not use any of the 3 pools. The beach was great as it was shallow & clean with minimal seaweeds during our stay. We received great service from the Beach Servers Alex & Daniel (girl). It was a pleasure to have toy buckets etc on the beach, for the kids to play with the sand.
We felt like we were being harassed by constant phone calls early am to pay US $80 per person for a Mother’s Day Special, cooked by a Chef, so we were at a loss as to who was cooking the our meals during our stay.
The entertainment: The “Michael Jackson” show was poor. The speaker box was on the side so when the performers were miming the songs, it was portraying the music from the side instead of towards the crowd. The dancers are not close to giving a true representation of Michael Jackson’s moves. The other entertainment acts were basic.
We are not sure whether we would return here any time soon, based on the unwelcoming feeling of the resort’s front desk, our experience with Judine on our needs & the limited food choices which should have been published to the Tour Operators. Had Tyrone not “saved the day”, this would have been a nightmare vacation & we would have rated the service as a 2-star.

Jewel Grande was a great experience for our family. The location is great - the beach is very safe and non motorized sports like the sail boat are included. The service is also great everyone working is super kind and helpful. Special shoutout to chef Vishal for catering to our dietary restrictions as a vegetarian. He went above and beyond to make sure we had plenty of delicious food options. Booking excursions from the resort is also very convenient through Jamaica Tours - went snorkeling and to the Dunns river falls. Overall, amazing vacation!

Best vacation ever. All the food was fantastic with lots of options. Pools were a great option on rest days. Beach area was beautiful and kept very clean. All the staff were so kind and helpful. Very kid-friendly, my 9 yo loved it. Room was large with a breathtaking view of the ocean. Would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants a smooth, relaxing, memorable trip in paradise.

My overall experience was good! when I initially got my room I did not have any hot water so I had to call the front desk to get a maintenance request in. I’m assuming they fixed it in a control room because I had hot water within 30 minutes, but I was just not giving confirmation that it was fixed/resolved. I even sent a text message to my “personal concierge” for my “stay” a didn’t get a reply. Overall, for the amount I paid I enjoyed everything. The food was great, the staff was very nice and there was an event almost every night. The bed was too firm for me & it took me a while to figure out the controls for the light / fan (fan light didn’t work though)..Even though I went solo I did not feel alone. This resort would be a good place to book if you’re on a budget and don’t wanna worry about paying for food as the food and drinks are included/unlimited. I would visit this resort again. FYI Have some single bills available if you wanna tip.

My family and I recently stayed at this resort, and I can confidently say it was the best resort experience we've ever had. From the moment we arrived, every staff member we encountered was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always eager to help with anything we needed. Their warmth truly made our stay feel special.
One standout was Israil, one of the chefs working at the buffet. He consistently went above and beyond to make us feel cared for, offering exceptional service with genuine kindness. His friendly demeanor and personal attention added an extra touch that made our dining experience memorable every single day.

We had the privilege of visiting the Hyatt on a company vacation. This was mine and my wife's first destination trip. I must say, we were not disappointed.
Everything was excellent! From driving up and seeing the beautiful well manicure landscaping to the greeting of the staff.
Everyone had smiles at all times and it was a pleasant atmosphere.
The food was delicious and views were breathtaking!

This is an amazing resort for families! I traveled with my family (5 children and 4 adults) and arriving here was a breathe of fresh air. The resort is clean, food and service is amazing and the kids club is unmatched.
The children (ages 3-8) wanted to visit the kids club everyday. The staff always had a smile, planned activities (inoor and outdoor) and made the children feel very comfortable.
We did have 2 issues. The first, the carpet needs to be replaced to be a more water friendly option. The last issue....we had to leave.
We highly recommend this resort.

The atmosphere, rooms and location were great. As I find with most resorts the food was ok but nothing to sing home about. A couple of the restaurants were very good though. It was clean and comfortable with no kids! 😊 Great music playing on the grounds most of the day and night. It was a little frustrating navigating the grounds because signage is lacking but I had a great experience.

My husband and I had a great time on our honeymoon. We loved everything about the food, rooms, and services that they had to offer. The staff were all very welcoming and incredibly friendly. The entertainment was amazing and the live music and singing was awesome with Francois being the main male vocalist. Other activities such as the water sports had great guides and Francois also led public volleyball games for extra entertainment. We will definitely be returning to Sandals in the future!

We have been at sandals south coast all week and had a truly amazing time! We were here for our best friend’s wedding, and everything was so beautiful and ran so smoothly! The staff were always there to help, and also always ask if you need anything! So attentive! They have amazing activities planned to keep you out and about! We ran in to many regular “playmakers” keeping us interested and excited. We spent most of the week with Francois and his entertainment crew. They never let us down!! This was my second time at Sandals South Coast, and I can confidently say it’s one of the only vacations I’ve ever come home from feeling completely rested and rejuvenated. The resort is absolutely stunning - from the beach to the lush grounds - and what truly sets it apart is the people. Everyone who works here is so kind, welcoming, and genuinely dedicated to making your stay special.
As someone with a gluten intolerance, I was blown away by how seriously they take dietary needs. There were so many delicious options available, and when I called ahead, they were even able to customize meals just for me with enough notice. It made dining completely stress-free, which is rare when you have food sensitivities.
A special shoutout to the entertainment team! They kept the energy up all day with fun poolside activities, and their nightly performances were absolutely incredible. “Jamaica LIVE” was a total standout - so much talent on that stage!
If I could offer one small piece of feedback, it would be to encourage teams like loyalty and the spa to ease up a bit on the sales pitches. While I understand the value of what they offer, being approached multiple times while trying to relax by the pool felt a bit intrusive. A scheduled info session might be a better fit.
Also, our room is starting to show its age a little - nothing major, but it seems like they renovate in phases and we probably got one of the older ones. That said, you’re hardly ever in your room anyway, and we were still very comfortable.
All in all, Sandals South Coast is a slice of paradise, and I’d recommend it 1000%. Already dreaming of trip #3!

Delicious food, breath taking views, personal butlers each day that were both friendly and knowledgeable. Worth the cost to stay in the Rondovals. The area was quiet and private but still provided the opportunity to meet other couples if you so desired. There was so much to take from this trip, I would absolutely return! Dream wedding come true! My wife and I recently held a destination wedding here with about 42 guests and it exceed our expectations tenfold. Natresha our wedding coordinator went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Along with that, all the staff were exceptional. The rooms were clean and spacious, and the entire resort always offered something to do. We absolutely loved our swim-up room!
The all-inclusiveness really makes it worthwhile. You truly can relax here without hesitation! The food was amazing, and it is recommended to make reservations to the on-site restaurants as soon as you arrive. The grab and go spots are perfect if you want a quick snack by the pool or the beach.
We would absolutely recommend this resort if you are looking for a great vacation spot, or as a stand-out location for a destination wedding! We can’t wait to go back 🇯🇲🌴

I recently stayed at the Hyatt Zilara Rose Hall in Montego Bay, and it was a fantastic experience! The resort is very clean and well-kept, with immaculate rooms. The overall beauty of the resort is truly impressive.
The entertainment was okay, nothing extraordinary but still enjoyable. The coffee shops were a highlight with great coffee options available.
One thing to note is that the adult area isn't separated from the family area, but children are not allowed in the adult side, which maintains a good balance. The beach has plenty of loungers, though not all of them have shade. However, the cabanas are absolutely worth it! Though a bit pricey, we found a better deal than initially listed. They offer full service, including bottles of Prosecco, a cooler with fresh ice, water, soft drinks, and plastic champagne glasses. The staff was incredibly attentive, ensuring we always had enough drinks and ice.
The food at the resort was fantastic, especially the French restaurant, which I highly recommend. Although there was only one restaurant on the adult side, the rest on the family side were still good options.
Overall, it was a wonderful vacation, and I truly recommend this resort!

I had a great experience! The room was clean, service was great, food was authentic. Close to the airport. Plenty of food options on the premises, but book reservations for restaurants early or you’ll be stuck eating at the smorgasbord which is delicious but a nice restaurant is great as well. No shopping on the resort as I had hoped. Nothing walkable. It costs an arm and a leg to leave by taxi. You don’t necessarily have to leave the resort. I went for a beautiful view and relaxation and that’s what I got. If you want to join the festivities at night, they had something going on.

wouldn’t in good faith recommend this location to anyone. As soon as we arrived we were told they overbooked and separated the two rooms we booked into separate buildings. The staff was incredibly uninviting upon our arrival. After a short time we got to our room which was very poorly constructed. We called 3 times for a simple tub stopper and never received it. The room service out neighbors ordered is still outside of their door over 48 hours later.
It’s not all bad as the location is beautiful. It’s hard to get past how rude the staff has been and how bad the food has been. The children’s side of the resort is much nicer. I would definitely recommend that to someone, but not the adult only side. We spent a lot of our hard earned money for this vacation and we’re definitely disappointed. As of yesterday our light in the bathroom turned into a strobe light and has yet to be fixed. Please stay here at your own risk, and if you do I hope your stay is much better than ours.

Converted from the old Ritz Carlton. Resort is kept clean but it is obvious that there are layers upon layers of wall and trim paint over the years. Bathroom fixture are acceptable but they are aging.
King size bed mattress very old and uncomfortable. Elevator was very slow.
I learned a hard lesson - make your dinner reservations BEFORE you get to Jamaica ... Otherwise... You will only eat at West End Chicken or the Buffet restaurants.
The pool cabana with the day bed was the best part of the trip ... Butler service, constant attention from waiters and servers. Fully stocked cooler with beer and water and pop and prosecco. Spectacular.
Hotel shuttle to and from airport very nice.
Concierge desks were always super friendly and helpful.
Only disappointment was the variety of choices for 4 hour/half day trips... Mostly everything was a full 8 to 12 hours day for Waterfalls/Rum tour/Zipline/river cruise.
Beach very small but kept clean.
All in all, a very nice all inclusive and worthy of the Hyatt name

Lisa and Davin were great at check in. Kenny and Duran are the BEST butlers on this side of heaven. And Nickiesha and Tanesha with Amstar deserve flowers for how hard they rectified a problem for us.
I don’t know if I’ll recommend this resort as I am a tough critic on food and drink and this resort needs some upgrade in quality. Best restaurant was the hibachi but idk guys, I feel like I woke up with knots in my stomach every day after that. Service was great though, everyone was kind and attentive. And again, Kenroy and Duran!!!! They would have something ready for us before we even asked. It’s amazing that 2 people can work together so well and treat us like the only girls in the world. I miss those two dearly already!
It was my cousin’s birthday and Kenroy and Duran treated her like royalty all day and secretly decorated for her while we were gone.
Pools were nice and beach access on the other side of your swim up room was great, too! Can’t promise I’ll be back but if I do, it’ll definitely be as a preferred member again! Thank you all for everything!

This hotel exceeded my expectations in every way! The adults-only, all-inclusive resort offered luxurious amenities, stunning ocean views, and impeccable service. The rooms were elegant and spacious, and the staff went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. The dining options were incredible, with gourmet meals and top-shelf drinks. Feels more like a 3-star than a 5-star one. This is a "party" hotel where you get music entertainment for mid-aged people. They do annoying things, though, like sometimes different music from several places so that you hear both quite loudly at the beach and the music overlaps. This is just not that great.
The service at the beach is mostly not there, although in one spot there was a waiter who did a great job.
The rooms show their age and would deserve a proper deep cleaning once in a while.
The food is good for a 3-star hotel, sub-par for a 5-star one. The prices for non-included things (like spa and some shops they have) are absurd, though. E.g. USD 40 for a sun protection spray or USD 109 for 50 minutes Spa. This would be fine if it was actually 5-star but not for what they actually provide.
The sunset, the beach, and the location are great though.
I'll likely won't join this hotel again.

I stayed at the Secrets Wild Orchid Montego Bay expecting a luxury experience, but it was the opposite. From the first moment, the customer service was terrible. The staff is rude, unprofessional and in several cases directly mistreats guests. I've never felt so badly cared for in a hotel.
The pool, which is supposedly one of the main attractions, was dirty all the time. I never saw it cleaned, the water was cloudy and it was suspicious to use it. In addition, the food leaves a lot to be desired: low quality ingredients, little variety and poorly prepared dishes. It is definitely not up to what they charge or what they promise.
This place is not worth what it costs. There are many other better options in Jamaica. I don't recommend it and I definitely won't come back.

If you want a small personal resort experience this is it! No concrete jungle here just 75 rooms and everything is very personal! The beach and pool are small but we always had covered seats on the beach and poolside seating was easy as well. Met great people both at the resort and the guests. The food was very good and whatever you wanted was was taken care of! It's not what people think of when "resort" comes to mind but it is one of the best weeks I've had in a long time!

We absolutely love sunset at the Palms. My wife and I stayed at the resort March 2025. We found this resort to be utterly charming. Food was amazing and the staff were so hospitable and attentive to our every need. The grounds were immaculate! The bird song And tree frogs brought so much joy to our hearts. We stayed in the 700s section and it was pure bliss. We loved our room, especially the balcony with the daybed. We took more than one nap together outdoors, listening to the sounds of nature before dinner. The beach was amazing and the staff catered to every need. Food and drinks from the beachside bar were wonderful though, I would recommend Taking one day to go over to the Office of nature for their lobster, OMG!
Yes, there were a few vendors hawking their wears on the beach, but all it took was a simple no thank you and they left us alone. Love the buskers who came along and played live music to serenade us. Donovan is the best!
The bartenders were so friendly and professional. By all means be sure to catch Paul at the piano bar. Thanks again sunset at the Palms we’re already making plans for our return.

Traveled as a couple to this resort and visited for seven days. We stayed in the two level suite. The suite had a king bed, two bathrooms, outside seating, and a hammock. The property is lush in green foliage, plants, and, of course, palm trees. You are able to easily walk the property, and the beach is across the street (there is a crossing guard). The beach has a bar and food is available. Overall, it's what you expect from an all-inclusive. The best part is the staff and the customer service they provide. Shout out to Damien (lifeguard), Laverne (housekeeping), and Amanda (concierge).

Yall- a time was had !!! I really enjoyed myself at this hotel.The tree house experience was amazing the staff was attentive. The beach beautiful I felt safe the whole time. Food was great…. my only complaint is the alcohol, we are spending good money to be here therefore better quality liquor should be available!

My partner and I enjoyed the experience and vibe at Sunset at the Palms (SatP). It is a more relaxed and laid-back vibe, so if you are looking for more of a party/excitement feel, I’d look elsewhere. With that being said, a lot of the magic of being at SatP comes from the staff. There were too many to remember, but here are a few that stood out. Alison and Cornelius (Mr Fixit) made our experience at the Lotus Leaf Restaurant exceptional. Brittany and Nadine at the pool/swim-up bar made excellent drinks. The morning wasn’t complete without a visit to Carleen at the coffee bar and finally Delany (easy peasy) for keeping us settled/relaxing at the beach and pool.
The food at SatP was very good. The breakfast and lunch were pretty standard. Breakfast was more of a brunch-style buffet. They usually had a local dish such as salt fish w/ ackee or callaloo, and I always that those were worth trying. Lunch was more sit-to-order with sandwiches, burgers, and some form of daily special. I ALWAYS got the soup each day. I never asked what it was, I just got it because the soups were excellent every day, so don’t skip the soup! In my opinion, the food shone at dinner. My recommendation is to try and book as many nights at the Lotus Leaf and the Chef’s tasting as your stay allows. We ate at the Lotus Leaf 3 times, the menu didn't change, which allowed us to try different items each time we went. We only did the Chef’s tasting once, but would have done it again had the next session not been booked already. For our Chef’s tasting, Chef Bridget handled the appetizer, which was coconut shrimp and soup. Capt Kirk had the entrée, which was a chicken roulade stuffed with seafood medley and a pork roulade with callaloo and salmon and a fruit salsa. Dessert was done by Shanique and that was a bacon wrapped and brûléed banana w/ a scotch bonnet sauce…the perfect blend of sweet, salty, and spicy.
I got a spa treatment, which Petulia did an excellent job with. We met a lot of wonderful people staying there and we 100% plan to go back (and get our green bracelets) in the future. If you are looking for a truly relaxing experience set in a botanical garden, this is the resort for you.

On vacation there April 13, 2025. Overall, the resort is a very nice place. If you are going there to vacation couple things, the beaches are small. Cannot do a lot of walking. The sit down restaurants give yourself at least an hour and a half. The buffet is awesome. The staff was polite, except the Hotel maids were not over the talkative. The pools and pool bars were very nice. Bartenders were very pleasant. Activities around the pool were nice. The entertainment was pretty much the same thing every night. A little variation, but not a lot. But like I said overall, very nice resort I would go there again.

Secrets St. James was a good time! We were there to celebrate my sister's birthday. It had plenty of activities and fun in the sun. The check-in and checkout process needs major improvement, as the wait times are ridiculous. The food at the buffet was decent. Room service was clutch with the exception of one order in which I was given "old" chicken wings and fries that seemed to have been sitting for a while before being served to me. Naomi at the Secrets Spa gave an incredible massage experience! Ricky Ricardo at the spa was also very helpful with the hydro experience after my massage. We had a phenomenal time at Altitude Rooftop Restaurant on my sister's birthday. The staff were very accommodating and the food was good. Overall, I would consider returning to Secrets St. James.

I spent my wife's 45th birthday here and it was OK. If you look this resort up online, don't let the pictures fool you! The inside of the rooms was trash and very dated. The bathroom floor and shower area were dirty. I had to get them to do another cleaning so my wife could feel comfortable staying here. Now the outside of the resort was beautiful. They had plenty of seating to enjoy the ocean and poolside. The only negative about the outside is that the pools had too many dead bugs. The food was delicious, and every restaurant I went to , I was satisfied. I have mixed reviews about the service because some people were very nice and helpful, and others had bad attitudes and rude. The young lady Dayona had excellent customer service! Overall, I don't think I would re visit this resort.

Very attentive staff, the room was beautiful, but we did have an issue with our AC going out one night which was fairly miserable. It was fixed as soon as we brought it to their attention. The best food was in the Jamaican restaurant called Blue Mountain. I would avoid the Asian restaurant on site. The food tasted like it had been under a heat lamp for hours.

We traveled to St. James Secrets Montego Bay for my husband birthday in April 2025. This resort was great and most of all the staff was Amazing!! From the moment we stepped foot on the property customer service was the best. We felt very comfortable. They made sure we were taking care of from the very beginning and until we left. Chris Brown we will never forget very cool and down to earth with A1 service. Great views, food and entertainment. We will definitely be back sooner than later. We went for our honeymoon and had an amazing time! I want to shout out all of the food/table service employees. We tried every restaurant multiple times and never had a bad experience. They truly went above and beyond to make every meal enjoyable. The food is delicious, and as a vegetarian, I had so many options. Sea grapes was especially appreciated.
I wish we had the same experience with the bartenders… besides the folks at the swim up bar, every bartender seemed so annoyed by our mere existence when approaching. Even the martini bar, which I was surprised by because I had heard good things. I had anxiety even sitting down and asking for a drink because of the negative energy. I respect that bartenders have to deal with the most annoying people which must be draining. But I still felt the need to mention this.
Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay. The spa experience was great, and we loved the athletic complex and activity schedule. Catamaran and water activity employees were great. The renovated verandah room was fantastic, and the cleaning staff and groundskeepers are amazing. We hope to return one day!

We’ve come across some absolutely phenomenal stuff. Mario at the swim up bar has been OUTSTANDING. He was our go to all week for drinks and we waited for it to be his time at the bar. He was SUPER friendly & made great drinks!!
Shanna was also stellar at the bar! She was personable and made great drinks!
We found ourselves going back to the palms multiple times and had the BEST experience with Sharie. She was so friendly, giggly, and had the best personality. She gave such great service and made our suppers such a great experience.
Julian also did snorkeling AND the glass bottom boat and created such a fun environment. He made it such a fun experience!

I am writing this while sitting on their beach waiting for the free shuttles. The service at the resort is pretty two star for a supposed five star resort. A few of the restaurants and workers at the Palms def did not like being there or being asked for anything by guests. The only reason for not giving the service one star is because of the select few workers who enjoyed anything and the free snorkel trip to the reef.
They offer some great activities for free: snorkel, catamaran trips, SUP, kayaks, among other things.
All restaurants requiring reservations were booked up for our full trip so if you are a first-timer expect to only eat the buffet that’s provided. They prioritize repeat guests for the restaurant reservations.
The last issue we had is with our luggage being broken as we left the resort when they took our luggage from the room. There is no policy to reimburse broken luggage so have them handle your stuff at your own risk. They don’t care about your stuff.
After experiencing this area, if we do return, it would be at a cheaper place along the beach. The money is not worth the total experience you receive.

Scuba diving and scuba teachers were very trustworthy, masters of their craft, and always very helpful. The food was amazing at all the restaurants. All the service was great, and all the workers (including the grounds keepers and the maids) were always fun and talkative. The beach is huge with white soft sand, and the ocean is clean and clear. This was our second time here, and we'll be back for sure.

My husband and I enjoyed our very first trip to Jamaica and absolutely loved our time at Couples Swept away! The staff was absolutely amazing, so many memorable people!! Shania was very engaging, from making sure we knew what was going on for entertainment to teaching me her fabulous dance moves! She was so incredibly sweet and a pleasure to be around. Kayla was absolutely fantastic as well! Renaldo checked in with us every day making sure we were enjoying ourselves and making sure we didn’t miss out on anything!
The bartenders were wonderful as well! I wish I knew how to spell his name properly and I hope I don’t mess it up, Hakeem? He was great as well and made us the most amazing cocktails!!
We totally enjoyed our glass bottom boat tour with Captain King Julian, he was very entertaining and enthusiastic, we had a blast!
We can’t wait to return and I hope all these wonderful people are still there!

Highly recommended!!! My husband and I had the best time at this resort. Exquisite service from everyone we had the pleasure of meeting. The grounds are out-of-this-world beautiful and great for strolling around. The rooms are spacious and clean and the food (we ate at all of the restaurants) is excellent! We booked a couples massage with Simone and Jackie and both women were true masters of their craft, in addition to being so lovely and welcoming. We were sad to leave and can't wait to go back again next year.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Couples Sans Souci. We stayed in the Carnation building and the newly renovated room was extremely spacious and comfortable. The property is a gem. Beautiful greenery, and hidden spots to lounge. We loved starting our day at the mineral pool and ending it at the beach. Casanova restaurant was our favorite spot for dinner. The menu was different both nights and the service was top notch. Would love to go back to Couples Sans Souci one day.

We absolutely love Sans Souci! The grounds are beautiful, the staff is attentive, and the food is amazing. We debated between here and Tower Isle, and with the recommendation of our travel agent, chose Sans Souci. We’re glad we did, especially after hearing from Tower Isle day guests that Sans Souci has a much larger au naturel sunset beach (SSB) and pool. (But really it sounds like you can’t go wrong with any of Couples Resorts ☺️) Tips: bring more sunscreen than you think you need, skip the bug spray, bring Jerk sauce home in your checked bag, give SSB a try, and prepare yourself because most Jamaicans drive like they’re on expert mode playing Mario Kart 🤣🥂

This is an awesome resort for those looking for a relaxing and romantic getaway. Quiet, clean, good food, amazing service. The only improvement I would recommend would be the rooms, they are quite dated.
The watersports are fantastic, the facilities on the resort are all top notch. Great entertainment, with live music every night. The location is absolutely perfect. We will be back again for our next getaway for sure.

We absolutely loved spending our honeymoon here. We got a beachfront suite and found it well worth the extra money - our room was amazing.
We did a lot of the excursions - snorkeling, catamaran, massage. We even did the private boat cruise, which blew our expectations away! We had England and Captian Max on our private cruise and they made it an amazing time.
Food was great. Location on the beach was great. Nightly entertainment was great. We would recommend for to anyone looking for a perfect mix of peace and adventure.

Wrapping up a vacation for a few days. Trust all the reviews. Excellent experience, beach and ocean is just fantastic. Things that surprised us....1. super close to the road/highway, lots of noise. 2. Breakfast started at 7:30am. As many have said it's an older crowd, by 7:30 there is a long line to start. 3. No bottled water. there are filling stations but it's not cold nor the freshest tasting. 4. The toilets in the rooms offer little privacy. 5. We were in a major minority as this was our first time, met many who had been here 5+ times. That's a true testament on an establishment in my opinion. While we truly enjoyed it, we don't plan to come back we like to experience and explore a variety of locations.

We received excellent service at this resort. The customer service is outstanding 10 out of 10. We had the butler service and we also ran into some really great waiters. One of the best was Donatello at altitude restaurant and at breathless breakfast buffet so awesome. We will be back just for Donatello and our great Butler service Raynard and Craig also so caring! We are grateful we booked here…. The blue Mountain restaurant has authentic Jamaican food, and it was amazing as well

For those who want to party, there were themed parties nightly! Breathless also offers access to its sister resort secrets, for those of who'd prefer a more intimate and / or live shows SECRETS is the sort for you at night! This option was like having two resorts for the price of one!
If you are adventurous and find yourself here, I recommend Dunn's River Falls... it's about an hour and a half away, but WORTH the drive.

I am so glad I didn't pay attention to some of the negative reviews. This hotel is absolutely worth the money it is very clean, the staff is at your beck and call. The views are amazing the beach is clean and the restaurants are great with fresh food. You can not go wrong. If you ask the bartenders to make it strong, they will, which is recommended. I am out of the box thinker, and there were multiple times where I needed the staff to accommodate some requests like moving furniture setting up special areas they accommodated every time with a smile on their face. You will not regret it. Don't pay attention to the negative reviews you have seen. Those are probably people that have either been paid to talk negatively or have taste that far exceed anything a country could provide. I have been out of the country multiple times at different resorts, and all five stars rated. This one definitely stacks up.

This resort is so beautiful! The staff are very attentive and friendly, they work so hard to make sure that you are having a good time and are very friendly, all of the food from room service,the buffet and the various restaurants were delicious. We had a balcony room, it is very spacious and clean. There is a huge TV, a stocked fridge with various drinks that are free, and you get a bottle of champagne to enjoy. If you are planning a vacation to Montego Bay, I highly recommend.

The staff made the trip for me. The hotel was beautiful, restaurants were good, The food was excellent, the parties were fun but more than anything the entertainers (shout out to Tequila who made sure we were dancing), the team at spoon (shout out to Melissa who was just lovely and sweet in the morning w the best omelets and Teresa who welcomed us every morning w a smile. And good energy at breakfast), and the staff in general who would greet and chat and tell you about the island and Check on you (like Tia who always made sure we had what we needed and where the party would be). I had such a great time! Can't wait to return.

We just returned from a relaxing stay at Sandals Negril in May 2025, and I can confidently say it was our best visit yet!
Having previously stayed in February 2024, I immediately noticed the positive impact of new General Manager Melissa Clark and her team. The resort felt noticeably cleaner, the staff more attentive and genuinely friendly, and even the food had improved across the board. These changes didn’t go unnoticed and truly enhanced our experience.
This resort continues to be the perfect choice for a romantic and stress-free getaway. From breathtaking sunsets to the soft, white sand beach just steps from your room, the location is unbeatable. You’re literally on the beach—it’s hard to find another resort with this kind of proximity to the ocean.
One of the highlights of our stay was the exceptional butler service, which made our vacation feel completely effortless. Huge thanks to our incredible butlers, Felix and Damien, who went above and beyond to make everything perfect. We were treated to breakfast on our patio, daily treats like fresh fruit and champagne, romantic touches like a sunset soak in our tub, and seamless dinner reservations each night.
While no place is truly perfect, this trip came very close. Sandals Negril earns a solid 4.5 stars from us—5 stars for rooms, service, and location. If you're considering a relaxing beachfront escape where you're truly cared for, I highly recommend Sandals Negril (especially with butler service!).

Jhoneil helped us get involved with all the activities, made a real fuss of us and would often sing songs for us and learnt new ones. We have travelled to many resorts and Sandals are lucky to have him.
Delroy our butler was perfect and catered for all of our requests and was also happy to oblige by being our wedding witness. Our experience was enhanced thanks to this man!
Some of the service elsewhere was a little slow, generally wait times in restaurants or bar service could be improved upon. The too shelf drink selection was lacking for a brand like Sandals and the own brand usage isn’t required.

First of all we love everything about this resort. The food, staff, music and just the overall vibe here at Sandals Negril is Phenomenal. The whole entertainment team is vibrant and energetic (especially King James) they always involve us in all the activities. The nightly shows are really good also (Monday was our favorite). We loovvveee Ruth, she's super nice and friendly and she always checks on us to see if she can help us in any way. We tried all the restaurants but Kimonos was our favorite. The bartenders are really great as well. Shout out to Fiona, Sasha and Tyrese they are the best. The reunion week celebration was fantastic. Everyday there was a different set up and they were all BEAUTIFUL. Love it here and we will definitely be back.

What a fabulous spot. People are there for a variety of reasons but certainly all centered around the possibility of naked freedom and there is simply such a good vibe about the place.
It's a great setting and the rooms are quite fine. Facilities for fun are fabulous, even to the wee hours of the night with grilled cheese and fries at 2 am!
Food is great and all booze is top shelf. Very friendly staff and lots of pool activities and great evening entertainment.

Hey, we gotta tell you about the Sandals Royal Plantation in Jamaica. From the moment you arrive, you're treated like gold—everyone's so respectful and welcoming. They really go the extra mile to make your vacation amazing. We went in late January 2025, and it helped us get over losing our pup Magnum in late Dec 2024. The manager, Omar, is incredible; he knows your name the whole time you're there!
This was our first time with a butler at Sandals, and wow, what a treat! Marvin and Bebeato were our butlers, and they took care of everything. Breakfast, lunch, drinks, dinner reservations—they were on top of it the entire time.
Seriously, you have to try the Royal Plantation; and it's all butler service.
Heads up, it's on a hillside with lots of stairs, so watch your step.
It's smaller and more relaxed, which means the staff can really focus on you. The pool's smaller, too, so no crazy pool parties—just peaceful paradise vibes.
The beaches are stunning and
quiet with plenty of areas to relax in.
The food service and restaurants are all incredibly delicious.
We highly recommend visiting Jamaica and the Royal Plantation (Omar, Bebeato & Marvin).

My husband and I (Mr & Mrs Brown) truly enjoyed our overdue honeymoon at this lovely resort. The quality of service was superb. The hotel manager Omar was hands on and greeted us daily (multiple times) to see how we were doing. Our wonderful butlers Orayne & Safitya
were on top of their game arranging everything from our in town shopping excursion, dinners and spa treatment and whatever else we needed from drinks by the pool to daily in room snacks. Housekeeping was also on top of it as well. The restaurant staff impeccable and remembered what drinks we enjoyed. Our room was as lovely as the view. We were welcomed when we arrived at the front entrance and when we departed they said goodbye and were happy that we enjoyed our stay. Food was good. Old world Ambience and the atmosphere is welcoming. And the staff was top notch. We will return!❤️

This was our first Sandals experience and it didn’t disappoint. We visited two nearby sister properties but didn’t return, for us Royal Plantation was far superior. One of its charms is its size with only 75 rooms, creating a friendly personal environment. The butler service from Richard and Dwainey was just right, attentive without being intrusive. The manager provided great leadership, was visible amongst guests and addressed them all by name. The food was a high standard, although for a 2 week stay a bit more variety on the menus would have been welcome.
The two beaches were immaculate and service was readily available when required.
The only thing that slightly marred the experience was the issue of tipping. It clearly states on promotional material that tips and service charge are included in the price paid. We were therefore surprised on arrival to learn that we could now tip butlers. This does create an expectation on both parties. Our issue was what was a reasonable gratuity without being too low, causing offence, or too excessive. This is maybe a cultural issue but the position is definitely confusing
However we had a super time and would definitely consider returning to Royal Plantation

Our first Sandals experience and first time in Montego Bay. We enjoyed ourselves tremendously.From the moment we arrived everything went smoothly.We had the butler elite suite overlooking the ocean, the room was very clean and comfortable. Our butlers were so gracious and accommodating, they helped make our time spent efficiently. Our special occasion was acknowledged and celebrated. the beach and water was clean and not crowded. The grounds are sprawling and immaculately maintained. The cuisine, music and culture so fantastic, enjoyed every meal especially the Jamaican cuisine. A special thank-you to the management team; Mr. Elliott, Latoya, Kelsey, and the individual (my apologies for missing her name) in the concierge lobby, (5/31 morning) who made the checkout process successful. They were not only visible and accessible throughout the resort, but also genuinely committed to guest satisfaction. When we had a small request it was handled immediately; proof of how seriously they take their commitment to excellence.
The dining options were equally impressive. From the gourmet cuisine at Butch’s Steak & Seafood (Mitch gave us the best dining experience on our last night) to the casual beachside vibe at Mariner Seaside Grill, every meal was delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented.
Sandals Montego Bay exceeded our expectations in every way. It’s not just the location or the amenities that make it special—it’s the people who go above and beyond to make every guest feel valued and cared for. We already booked our next visit with the Sandals family and can’t recommend it enough for couples or friends looking for a truly unforgettable getaway.

This place is amazing! There is so much to do; you must hire a butler to help you with all your meals, travel arrangements, excursions, and so forth. They use WhatsApp and you can text them with anything you need including meal orders and restaurant reservations. Choose a private pool so you can have more privacy. Some excursions are kind of sketchy, so do your research. The only annoying thing about going there is the amount of tips you have to give. Everyone wants a tip and you may end up tipping away another vacation. There more excursions you book, the more you tip. The resort needs a little TLC but overall is pretty good. What makes it better is the butler service, food and atmosphere. Some of the restaurants, you must make reservations to be able to join. A great place to go on your honeymoon. Take advantage of the gentleman that takes pictures. He charges a fee but it was worth it.

We recently completed a 12 night stay of Beaches Negril, our second trip to this resort. What brought us back wasn’t just the resort, but the staff. We always feel like we are more than just a customer. The staff are almost always pleasant and more than willing to help out with a reasonable request. We were met almost immediately by Paulette once we arrived to inform us our room was undergoing some maintenance, and would be ready for us the next day. We were looked after and she was able to make it right for us. We spent a good deal of time speaking with Yanike at the welcome home dinner and she was a wealth of information for the Sandals Foundation as well as the kids club. Everyone at the kids club is amazing and made our kids feel like they were with their best friends. Our kids were disappointed when we didn’t take them. From the beach to the pools to the many amazing restaurants (thank you Chef Lemar for taking the time to indulge our questions), the loyalty office, the concierge, I can’t thank everyone enough who made our trip amazing. One tip, make sure you get your weekly schedule when you check in, they have amazing events through the week and you don’t want to miss out. We have already booked for 2027 and can’t wait to come back.

My family of 12 stayed in Eventide 4 bedroom villa with private rooftop. Villa was beautiful with amazing views. Location on resort was perfect! All the staff are so friendly and go out of their way to be helpful. Food and drinks were great. But, what made our trip so over the top special was our butler Roshane!!! He was amazing. Just a few things to mention coffee, fruit and pastries every morning, amazing lunches on the beach, my husbands private roof top dinner for his 60th, delicious and stunning, but the best was the private boat trip he arranged for us -thank you Roshane for elevating this very special family trip for us💜This trip exceeded all expectations!!!

Beaches Negril is an amazing place for a family friendly vacation. There are great food options including a hibachi grill, Jamaican food, salad food trucks, sushi and even Peruvian food. The entertainment is great and there are a lot of options of things to do (we loved the silent disco and fire night). My family felt very safe and my kids (9 and 12) felt comfortable exploring on there own each day. We spent a lot of time doing water activities- the beach is so beautiful and calm. We spent so much time snorkeling, water/knee skiing and paddleboarding. The staff was also incredibly friendly and took their time to get to know us. It is very clean and it was not crowded (we even went during school vacation week!). Our room was just a little small for the 4 of us. They provided us with an extra pull out bed but the pull out bed was too big to fit in our room. I also wish there was a door to the washroom just for additional privacy/changing.

We spent a week during the holidays there. I think it is a fine resort. Here are the pros and cons.
Pros:
-The staff were very attentive, kind, and always willing to help.
- The resort was very clean.
-The shower had good water pressure and worked well.
-The food was not excellent but decent overall. The jerk chicken stand near the beach was a highlight, and the smoothie bar was good, though it didn’t have many options. I also liked the ice-cream machine in the buffet! The drinks were okay, but higher-quality liquors came at an extra cost.
Cons:
-The resort is quite far from Montego Bay Airport. If you’re traveling with a tour, keep in mind that the bus will stop at multiple resorts to drop off other passengers before reaching yours. The ride typically takes around t3 hours, but due to an issue, ours took 4! If that sounds too long, you might want to consider booking a private transfer—we did that on the way back, and it was much more convenient.
-Although the resort is large, it feels a bit old and outdated. Some parts need renovation. However, it is kept very clean.
-I appreciated the resort’s quiet atmosphere as an adults-only getaway, but at times it felt too lifeless. The entertainments were limited and not very engaging, and there were no special programs for Christmas.
-Despite being in a tropical country, the fruit selection was surprisingly limited—mostly just cantaloupe and pineapple, with the occasional addition of watermelon or apples. There were no lemons or limes anywhere in the resort! I once ordered a mojito, but they couldn’t make it because they had no mint. The restaurant options also lacked variety.

We just returned from our stay at Jewel Paradise Cove and we did not want to leave! The food was, by far, the best we'd had at an All Inclusive resort. We were always excited to see what was available at the buffet, or to grab a delicious coffee (grab your cold brew with some rum cream added, you won't be disappointed!). Don't sleep on the Seaside Jerk Hut! Fresh jerk by the beach was such a treat, especially when paired with a cool drink!
The service was absolutely outstanding. We really loved all the staff we interacted with and the vibe was perfect for our vacation.
The facilities are well-maintained and while most areas were lively, I never felt like any one area was too busy or crowded.
The room we stayed in was roomy and the shower was huge!
Overall, we had such a lovely trip that we're already planning when we can go back. Absolutely would recommend!

Below standard rooms. Outdated and over used. Toilets flushed 50% of time and shower leaked everywhere. Liquor drinks were basic. Anything upgraded was being charged at 8 US dollars. Beer was being served warm at best and in a dirty plastic cup.
Food was also basic with no effort by this resort to do anything special or different at Christmas breakfast or dinner. Total lack of effort.
This resort seems to cater to the “day use” locals from 9 am - 6 pm. Good luck getting service by staff at the restaurants near the pools because they will be busy catering to the local users above the tourists who have paid huge to be there.
Totally a frustrating resort to be at for 10 days. Feel cheated out of a large amount of $$. This was our 4th time to Jamaica and we have never experienced such substandard food. No seafood anywhere unless you want to pay for a private meal including a bottle of wine, but get ready to pay the “extra” again. This resort is all about saving $$ and overcharging for what you believed you already paid for.
I would not recommend this place for a vacation.

The Jewel Paradise Cove is a small outdated all inclusive resort and hours drive from Sangster International Airport. This is an older resort so you’re not going to find the “most updated anything” the rooms are older and a bit beat up in some areas though they are very clean. The food is kinda of hit or miss.
I’ve always enjoyed myself. I come for the scenery and location. Tons of trees and plants. You really feel like you’re in Jamaica. Yes I wish it were more modern in areas but I do love this place even though I’m giving it less than 4 stars. I’m just being honest!
Come to the Jewel for beauty enjoy the quiet in this truly unique property!

Great experience all around. Staff was great! I have to give a big shout out to Terry Ann. She was an excellent server at this resort. She was very friendly and made us feel very comfortable during our stay.
