Spent five nights here in winter 2020 (just before the COVID outbreak). Our room was fine, nothing special. Housekeeping (or other staff members) would let themselves into our room on several occasions without knocking or announcing themselves at all. Restaurant service was mostly abysmal, with over 45 minutes of waiting for any dinner service on our first night. The beach was a bust, because we couldn’t sit in peace for even a moment without some type of saleperson approaching us to try and sell us their wares. Absolutely wouldn’t come here again.

Great location and beautiful views but that is all. Pushy timeshare people (bought in 2021) to later fing out it's pretty much a scam. I would recommend just enjoying everything else and not agreeing to a timeshare.

After flying 10hours from France and not knowing what to expect , I can say that I spent an amazing 10 days vacation in Be Live Collection Adults Only Punta Cana with my mother in every way.
The hotel is very clean, cozy,and beautifully designed. The rooms are very spacious, clean and have very comfortable beds.
The chefs and the staff are very friendly having always a service with a smile.
The food was very fresh and tasty with lots of variety .
The beach was beautiful and long , great for walks.
In addition the General Manager and Nicolas from the VP desk were very attentive to our needs and made us feel like home.
I highly recommend this hotel and will definitively come back even if I have to fly another 10hours ! :)

Horrible horrible experience. The workers at the front seemed to look down at us and we're extremely dismissive. Either because of our skin color, our accents, who knows. But very poor customer service. The rooms were disgusting. Food at the buffet was gross. Pools and beaches were gorgeous but that was the only positive. I will never return. This resort is definitely a quick/familiar destination spot for locals but NOT for tourists who are used to higher quality vacations. Every other resort in the area was beautiful!! A shame we didn't spend extra dollars to go elsewhere. Unfortunately, I won't be returning to the DR. A lot of anti-black undertones. Shameful.

My family and I came to this hotel for our summer holiday in July, it was lovely! Amazing views and generally quite clean, we had a few issues with our first room but was quickly and easily sorted! The food in the buffet is quite simple but the restaurant system is very good. All of the staff are super friendly and welcoming, most of them speak English too which is great. The entertainment is great with something different everyday, biggest appreciation to ‘sexy belly’ who never fails to make everyone laugh! All around a nice experience and would recommend, definitely would visit this hotel again.

This hotel is amazing in every way!
The service is excellent and the staff are very kind and welcoming. The rooms are clean and well-maintained. The food is delicious and offers a great variety to suit all tastes. Overall, the service is outstanding and makes you feel completely at home. The beach is very clean and well-equipped for relaxation. I highly recommend this hotel and would definitely come back again

Nice resort worth going premium for better quality spirits and full use of all bars, great beach area and water activities available, book at the beach hut for snokelling trip which was good.
Food quality is okay with lots of options.
Reception team i found to be very blaise as we booked a king sized bed and got a small double, after asking numerous times to the butler service (Inc with premium) and reception we gave up after 3 days chasing with no proper answer. I don't expect the hotel to read this review, but if offering a butler/contact service, then they really should be responding to messages.
Premium pool and bar (nice staff) very good varied with activities to fill the day. Evening shows were decent. If you book premium, once you get there, try and pre-book the restaurants on offer as these book up very fast. You can use the hotel link once there. $35 in cab from airport, took just under 30mins. Not a great deal outside of hotel apart from few restaurants, bars, supermarkets. Bring USD as ATM is only DOP and ATM's outside were mostly out of service. Ask questions if needed.
Overall a good hotel to book.

My stay at the resort was absolutely excellent. The food was delicious and varied, and the service was outstanding. The staff were friendly and very helpful, and the place was clean and well-organized. The only thing I would suggest improving is speeding up the check-in process, but overall it didn’t affect the quality of the experience.

We spent an amazing time there. Hotel is situed in the beutifull tropical garden. Our room was perfect and daily cleaned. Only just one note - we were at bulding which has connected rooms and there are locked wooden door as only barier, everything is really heard - for somebody could be problem especially if you travel as a pair:-) we didnt care who will heard us. Food was perfect, great choice - no problem. We had no Premium, absolutelly not needed. Clean beach and so long coast, we spent a lot of time of walking along the beach more than 5 km both directinon and we loved it. Overall we had a amazing holiday.

My partner and I just stayed here for 3 nights for an impulse way to warm up this winter. This is my second time at a resort in the Dominican Republican, and I went in with low expectations because of the price we paid and the last minute booking. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not the best resort, but very affording and fantastic for the money.
The staff were all attentive. The drinks were great! The food was only okay, but we didn’t go for the food so it was fine. We upgraded to premium which I think was worth it because we got a bigger room, complimentary room service, nicer bars, and a butler. I wasn’t sure want to expect from the butler service, but it was a good experience. Our butler was Robinso, and he was able to replace lost keys, convert currency, get reservations, and make change on a last minute notice everyday.
Overall, I think the impressive Punta Cana is great for people wanting an affordable all inclusive in the Dominican and would absolutely come here again for a weekend getaway.

The service at the hotel was wonderful. The staff greeted us in the lobby and every one greeted us throughout each day with a friendly smile. The food was delicious and our room was kept clean with fresh towels every day made possible by our housekeeper, Milena.
The beach was beautiful and lots of activities for couples and families. The dinner reservations at the various restaurants were a lovely experience for the different cuisines. Of note, all the staff at FOGO made our reservation spectacular. Commendations to Edwin, Santos, Domenga, Alejandrina, Stefany, Fran and especially Maite.
The staff at El Pilon was courteous but supervisor Adalgisa and Rutinel took special care of us, especially Keila Francisco, who went above and beyond to cater to all our needs and made us feel valued as guests.
This is our third time and enjoyed every moment of our vacation.

Left the Tropical Deluxe Princess today after a wonderful two week stay. The hotel is lovely and kept very clean. The pathway from the lobby to the pools and beach is just gorgeous, with iguanas, birds and terrapins in the mangroves alongside it. The animals are so tame you can feed them! The ice cream parlour, the coffee shop and the sports bar are great. The service is really good, very attentive. Unfortunately our son was sick and we had to visit the onsite doctor and then go to the hospital for an overnight stay. All the staff involved were so helpful and caring and kind. We were also taken care of when we returned by Josue, one of the guest services team and he regularly checked on our son and helped organise things for us. Plus, the guest services manager, Loanmi, was so kind and gave us a complimentary dinner in the platinum restaurant on our last night. One of the bar staff at the kids pool was also so caring and checked on our son regularly and one of the waiters in the buffet was so much fun and so friendly. The beach is gorgeous, and so much fun jumping in the waves. The animation team tries so hard and provides non-stop entertainment for this that want it. There are three pools, one with the small water park for children, this pool is also shaded well by the palms, so perfect if you have young children. The middle one is right by the beach and the pool restaurant and bar. The third one is the pool where the animation takes place and has a swim up bar, it’s also right by the beach. We had a family room, with bunk beds and two bathrooms which was a godsend. Would thoroughly recommend this hotel.

Had a fabulous 10 day stay at the Tropical Deluxe Princess. We thoroughly enjoyed the Brazilian restaurant Fogo and the Chinese restaurant Tao. We had a wonderful waitress at the breakfast buffet Maite who always made sure we had enough coffee 😊 Maite also waited on us in the Beachouse restaurant and kept checking we had enough cocktails 🍹 She was very friendly and we had a good laugh with her. Her great service and that of Brandilo at the Manatí bar made our trip even better. We felt the resort was beautiful, very well maintained and clean. We mainly stayed around the kids pool area as felt it was quieter and the service at Manatí bar was so great. We never had trouble finding a sunbed and the queues for lunch at the Beachouse were not more than a few mins wait. We enjoyed cocktails in the Lobby bar in the evening and the ice cream and coffee shop are definitely a bonus of staying at this resort. Make sure you check out the sports bar they have great food as well. We will definitely come back in the future.

So everyone that goes to any of the extracurricular activities is usually asked by staff to leave reviews and if course they want all 5 star but I can’t give the rooms 5 stars. We stayed in deluxe suit on the first floor and we had a few incidents with roaches crawling all up in the room. While these were swiftly handled with a flip of the flop, i dare say it’s not acceptable to have that many in a room over the course of a 3 night stay. Other than that service is amazing, food at the restaurants and international buffet are great. The 24 hour buffet is slop compared to the rest.

We spent our honeymoon at the Punta Cana Princess. It was an adult only all inclusive resort that was amazing. We got the honeymoon suite which had the best views. Alexander was the manager at the resort that made sure everything went perfect. He even ensured our dinner on the beach went flawless which wrapped up our trip on such a relaxing tune. We enjoyed a couple’s massage and tried all the resort restaurants and buffet. Truly a great experience!!

I just love it here! I went for 3 days 2 nights and i end it adding another night. The services was excellent, from housekeeping to bartender, like every employee have a smile on the face, everyone! Always willing to help in anything. Food (buffet)was good, unfortunately couldn't attend to the restaurants because they were pack. Rooms are really nice, the 3 pools are very cool and different, especially one dedicated to kids with slides and other stuff, love it. Also the beach, omg super clean and warm. I highly recommend it here!

This was my second time staying at the caribe deluxe resort and the reason I returned was for the hospitality and service I had received. Everyone was friendly, helpful and courteous but Melodie at the guest service desk was exceptional. She went above and beyond to make my stay an unforgettable one. She saw in the reservation that I was celebrating my birthday and coming with my family. Therefore we had 2 suites. When we arrived we were so surprised to find champagne bottles and fresh fruit baskets in both suites and my room was beautifully decorated and I had my own birthday cake. She didn't stop there. Everyday she contacted me to make sure we had everything we needed and that our stay was enjoyable. Melodie is by far the best hotel concierge I have ever met. She's truly a breath of fresh air one sees on arrival to the resort. She is sn asset to the hospitality industry and exceptional customer service staff. We are looking forward to spend more birthdays at the caribe deluxe resort . THANK YOU MELODIE FOR EVERYTHING ❤️

Beautiful property with a beautiful location. The wildlife and fauna are amazing. Her sweet demeanor and aim to please made our trip that much better! Services overall were very good, especially Melody at the guest services made sure everything was in order and provided great support during our stay. Pros
The staff are so hospitable and go above and beyond to help make the experience great.
The food is delicious! The restaurant options are amazing! Such a wide variety and excellent chefs! Lots of healthy options for people with dietary restrictions.
The rooms are very nice, have a balcony, and are very clean!
The beach is well cared for, soft white sand, cool blue water.
Abundant wildlife with lots of exotic birds and turtles!
Cons
We got platinum when we arrived but expected a different level of service for it.
We were the last to be dropped off at our room. They don't drop platinum upgrade people separately. the platinum buildings are closest to the beach and had to wait for the driver at each stop to help people with their bags. It was hot, we were tired.
The platinum pool, a small pool with a bar, was packed with kids playing with water toys all day every day. On more than one occasion, adults relaxing in the chairs were sprayed with water and got pool water sprayed in their drinks. The kids were yelled at for this but nobody stopped them.
The beach and pool chairs/beds are "claimed" by people early in the morning before breakfast. They just put their things there and leave them all day. There are more platinum guests than there are spots in the platinum areas so if you don't get there early to claim then you will use the normal beach and pool chairs, which there are plenty. This technically isn't allowed but nobody cares.
We would definitely return, but don't see the value in the platinum upgrade. The rooms are a little nicer. Closer to the beach. The platinum restaurants have less guests and better service. But we sampled the food at non platinum and it's just as good, just more people, slow service and maybe no lobster. there's no room at the platinum pool and it's too rowdy with out of control kids, and you may not find space on the platinum beach unless you wake at 6 and leave your things there before getting ready for breakfast.

We booked this experience for a special engagement, but unfortunately, it was completely ruined due to poor planning and lack of attention to detail.
First and foremost, there was absolutely no sense of privacy or romance. The setup felt cheap and low-effort, positioned right at the restaurant’s doorstep instead of a more intimate, scenic spot near the beach. To make matters worse, we had to witness multiple other proposals happening around us, which made our moment feel impersonal and rushed.
The atmosphere was severely lacking there was no music, no romantic ambiance, and upon arrival, we weren’t even greeted. Instead, the staff was busy cleaning and chatting among themselves, making us feel unwelcomed.
The service was also disappointing. They completely messed up the food order, serving steak to a vegetarian guest, which is unacceptable. Given the occasion and the price we paid, we expected much better service and attention to detail.
When we raised our concerns with the manager, we were not taken seriously, which only added to the frustration. Instead of creating a beautiful, once in a lifetime memory, this experience turned into a huge disappointment. For the premium price, we expected a high-quality, well-organized proposal setup unfortunately, this did not meet even basic expectations.
We hope management takes this feedback seriously and improves their service to ensure other couples don’t go through the same disappointment.

We went for a family trip and it was fun!! Rooms were neat & clean!! Resort was all inclusive and food quality was good!! Customer service was awesome and staff were very friendly, which made our trip so memorable. Pool was near & clean and well maintained!! There were lots of different even schedule in evening time like live singer, silent music party ( which was really unique & fun) which was fun and had a good time everyday in evening!! There were lots of activities for kids and they had a separate pool section with all amenities like play area, movie time, food and many other things!!!
Overall I would recommend this resort for family vacation!!!

An Amazing Stay from Start to Finish!
From the moment we checked in until the day we left, everything at Hotel Bavaro Princess was absolutely fantastic. The rooms were spacious, clean, and well-organized — exactly what you’d expect from a luxury stay.
Every single staff member was incredibly friendly and always eager to help. We were especially well taken care of by the amazing animation team — a special shout-out to Jennifer and Felix, who always had a smile on their face and kept the energy high with fun activities.
During breakfast at Gaucho, Maria made sure we started our days off right. She was attentive and made us feel truly welcome. In the evenings at the buffet restaurant, another Maria made us feel so special — every night, she prepared our table beautifully and went the extra mile to take care of us.
Liselotte , who worked at the Cappuccino bar and in the evening bars, made sure we had the time of our lives — night after night. Her energy and kindness really stood out.
Everything was well taken care of. When we first entered our room, there were a few small issues, but after mentioning them to the reception, they were resolved right away — excellent service!
All in all, it was a fantastic stay. We’re already planning to come back next year with ten more friends because we loved it so much. Highly recommended for anyone who loves luxury, sunshine, the beach, and total relaxation. This place has it all!

This resort was great. From check in to checkout. Security was great, all over the property. Our concierge Eric was great, always available to answer any questions or concerns we had. Upgraded us from a room to a 5 bedroom villa for free. Our villa was ridiculous. Our maid Anesia was great as well. Restaurant staff were polite. Everywhere we went on the gated resort was clean. The beach was clean. The marina had dozens n dozens of yachts n boats. The privately owned homes were insane.

The rating isn’t higher primarily due to the language barrier and travel experience. However, if someone spoke fluent Spanish and could fly directly into La Romana airport, I’d rate it 4/5 or even 4.5/5.
**The Good**
The resort boasts a sprawling campus with excellent restaurants and a beautifully maintained complex of villas, organized into over a dozen themed areas. For example, tennis or padel enthusiasts can stay near Las Canas or the Tennis Villa area, while beach lovers can opt for Las Minitas. The variety works well. Many of the restaurants truly stand out with fantastic food. Aesthetically, Altos de Chavón, in particular, impressed me as a remarkable architectural recreation that avoids feeling overly artificial, like Disneyland.
**The Bad:**
Our travel experience involved flying into Santo Domingo, which I’d dock half a point for. It’s an hour-and-a-half drive to the resort, and the airport itself lacks charm or convenience. Additionally, if you don’t speak Spanish, you’ll likely encounter challenges. Perhaps naively—given that most guests seem to be from the U.S.—I expected English to be more widely understood, especially by staff in guest-facing roles. Within the resort, there’s a genuine spirit of hospitality, but outside of it, interactions can feel strained at times.
**The Ugly:**
It’s impossible to ignore the stark poverty in the Dominican Republic. Waste management struggles are evident, with litter scattered throughout the island. Inside the resort, golf carts are the primary mode of transport, which adds a fun element—though most are gas-powered, noisy, and emit fumes that are particularly noticeable if you’re seated in the back. Given the sprawling layout, you might spend about an hour a day on a cart. Sharing the paths with cars—many of them service vehicles—can feel chaotic. For instance, heading to the beach with family loses its charm when you’re trailing a septic truck or dodging fast-moving landscaper vans. It disrupts the otherwise enchanting atmosphere. Also worth noting: tipping culture is very prominent here.
**Final Thoughts:**
Don’t misunderstand me—this is a special place. Practical improvements could elevate the experience: electrifying the golf cart fleet, enhancing staff training in language and hospitality skills, and streamlining the journey from airport to resort. One idea might be a daysail activity, or fast ferry option, from near Santo Domingo to the campus—a slightly longer trip, perhaps, but far more enjoyable.

I recently stayed at Dreams Flora Resort, and while there were many highlights, there were also a few drawbacks that impacted my experience. First off, the resort itself is visually stunning. From the beautiful beaches to the lush, tropical atmosphere, the setting was absolutely gorgeous. I had the chance to try several restaurants during my stay, including the buffet and a steakhouse. On our first night, we chose the buffet, which turned out to be Italian night. The food exceeded expectations—the selection was plentiful, and the dessert bar, in particular, was a standout. Every night offered a different cuisine, which was a fun way to keep things fresh. Breakfast, however, was a bit of a letdown. While I understand the wait due to how busy it was, the quality of the food didn’t match up. The sausage and eggs were either bland or had a strange taste, and most of the other options were underwhelming. That said, for those with a sweet tooth, there were great options like waffles, crepes, and pancakes. Later on, we tried the Sea Side Grill. Some of the Thai dishes and noodle options were delicious, but the pasta dishes, including the mac and cheese, tasted like they came from a pre-packaged box. Still, the service at both restaurants was excellent—attentive, friendly, and professional. We also visited the Coco Café. While the smoothies were more like juice, the coffee was excellent, and there were lots of delicious snack options available. Now, on to the pools and the Preferred Guest experience. As someone who paid extra for a more exclusive, relaxing area, I was disappointed. The “preferred” lounge and pool area was full of screaming and crying children. According to the website, this section was supposed to offer a quieter, more relaxing experience, but that wasn’t the case. I believe there should be an age limit or better enforcement of the rules, especially for places like the hot tub. Instead of enjoying it, it felt more like a kids’ splash zone—with water everywhere, children jumping in, and the water not even being hot anymore.
This was honestly the biggest issue of my trip. While I understand families want to bring their children on vacation, paying extra for peace and quiet only to get the opposite was frustrating. It affected multiple parts of my stay. As a Preferred guest, our fridge was restocked daily by housekeeping, which was a nice perk. However, on the private beach, locals would approach trying to sell you things, sometimes even taking pictures of you. I get that they’re trying to make a living, but it was intrusive and uncomfortable at times. Another thing to note: as part of the Preferred package, you’re assigned someone to help explain the resort’s features—but they also try to get you into a presentation where they push for additional purchases or room upgrades. This felt more like a sales pitch than a helpful service. Despite these issues, the staff overall were absolutely fantastic—kind, generous, and always willing to go above and beyond. Their friendliness and effort were truly a highlight of the trip.

Had a great time at this place! Don't listen to the reviews talking about theft. Be smart, use your safe, and tip your room cleaners and you will have no problems. The rooms are small compared to other Dreams properties and not as elegant. The servers and staff were all AMAZING! Irwin was our butler and let me tell you he was on his A game! The food here was so good!!! Will definitely be back to this resort in the future!!!

I went here for a vacation, and the beach was absolutely beautiful. The food was good, especially at Portofino. However, I didn’t like that they would reheat food the next day, which made it hard to chew. The customer service was great, but at times, they overstepped—constantly promoting whatever they were selling and even asking for a WhatsApp contact, despite knowing that person was in a relationship.
One of the most concerning things I saw was a clearly drunk woman walking to the waterslide with her 5-year-old daughter. She could barely walk, and her daughter was helping her stay upright as she nearly fell multiple times. We followed them just in case something bad happened to the little girl or even to her mother. When we got to the water park, the workers did nothing and just pretended like everything was fine. She kept going down the slide, and every time she hit the water, it looked like she was about to drown—but luckily, she didn’t. I even told the lifeguard, but all he said was, “A few more minutes, and we’ll close the waterslide.” It was just very disappointing.
Would I come back? Yes, but only if they improve their customer service and take safety concerns more seriously.

We had a wonderful stay in February 2025. The food, beach, drinks, entertainment, pool, room was all top rate. We were welcomed by Dioscar at reception and were warmly greeted. The rest of the week was nonstop fun and amazing personalized service from Nestor, Alan, and Marcelo, DJ Engel kept us dancing by the pool and at the bar. A wonderful week and highly recommend!

We went during Spring break in March. This is a family resort so there wasn’t too much college kids. We requested a quiet room and we got it. Food was great, staff was amazing and we had a great time! The resort is super clean, didn’t see any dirty dishes/room service dishes left anywhere. At dinner they never let our water cups get below half full. As soon as you were done with your plate they took it. Very attentive. My whole family is gluten free and it was super easy for us to find things to eat. The gluten free pasta was amazing at the Italian restaurant, but the gluten free pizza was terrible. Would not get that again, taste like it was heated up from microwave. They had gluten free bread, rolls, muffins, buns, so we were able to have a good variety. This resort is shared by Secrets adults only resort and it was nice at night to leave our teen daughter in the room and have a little date with my husband at the coffee shop and do a little gambling at the casino within 1/4 mile from our room. The hotel has a large gate at the front and the resorts were towards the back away from the street. We always felt super safe. Would definitely recommend to a friend!

Very nice resort. The grounds were beautiful, our rooms were very close to the beach and steps away from the pools and restaurants.
I’ve included a few random pictures.
It’s a 5-10 minute walk to the newer part of the preferred resort. Very nice boardwalk with lots of birds. Great, fast service on that side of the resort.
Concierge service was excellent. Junior helped us with all of our needs and ensured we had everything we wanted.
A few things to note.
1. Our booking was for a king and pull out. We had the king and no pullout. They made it right on day two by bringing us a cot.
2. The preferred club seaside grill was hit or miss with service which was disappointing as the food was delicious. A few times it was very slow and incomplete orders.
3. The kids club. We had a 9 and 10 year old and they both felt it was catered to much younger children.
4. Front desk will trade large bills for smaller bills for tipping.
5. The banana boat ride was short but kids loved it.
6. The inflatable obstacle course just down the beach looks great but it was under inflated and tough. There were gaps between the sections that were dangerous. You’ve gotta be on the ball and watch your kids. I had one get stuck in the water between the sections.
7. Closest golf course Cocotal is a $10 cab ride. Pickup coordinated by concierge. $100 USD is the dreams resort rate. Definitely not spectacular but very close and still offered a fun day out golfing. If you take your golf very seriously, look elsewhere.
8. The night shows were cool, especially the beach party.

It's a great resort. I love the greenery at this Dreams resort and the long pool weaving through the resort. The Entertainment team was awesome and I joint many activities.
I was in Mexico Cancun a few times and the beach here is way larger with white fine sand and no mangroves in the water compared to Cancun area.
The food was good, no complaints, but I do think the food at a Mexican Dreams Resort was a bit better . Overall the family really enjoyed the stay!!
If you are an adult you can use the Secrets resort adjacent to the Dreams, so in a way 2 for 1 resort :-).

Dreams Royal Beach is the best vacation location ever! Super clean, delicious food, and very friendly staff! Billy Sano (concierge) is the best! He consistently checked on our large group and made sure that all the details and requests were taken care of for us! There is good entertainment every night, plenty of mocktails for the kids, and no fighting for beach chairs or pool chairs. Nice store on site. The restaurants were beautiful & the food was delicious! 24-hour room service! All of the water used for consumption & ice was bottled! Daily refills in our room refrigerated, and a complimentary bottle of rum daily. Dinner at the wine cellar for Mom was perfect, and members received a 25% discount. Every room has a balcony and a jacuzzi!

I stayed there with my wife for 5 nights. The staff was excellent, we had the Preferred Membership where we had Roberto to assist us with all of our needs on the resort. He was an excellent resource to have and was very good at his job.
The property was beautiful and well maintained and again the staff was friendly and helpful. The employees there are very hard working.
However, I would highly recommend staying in a Preferred room because you get all your meals made to order and of a higher quality. I went to the lunch buffet, which is what you get when you do not upgrade to Preferred, and was not impressive.
The only complaint I have is that there are some employees in shirts that indicate that they work at the resort but they end up asking you to go to a breakfast the following day and offer some coupons. This was obviously some type of sales pitch which I did not appreciate considering I had already given the hotel a good amount of money.
I would say it was an excellent trip all around and I would recommend Dreams Royal Beach if you are considering a trip to the DR.

This resort was great all around. The beach at this resort is just amazing and goes forever, great for walks. There is also a coral reef that you can snorkel at right from the beach. Great mix of beach and pools and slides. Gives plenty of options for everyone. The service was great everyday. We were taken care of all day by Freddie and Randy down by the beach. They were always smiling and making our days at the beach great with their service. Overall this is a great resort and we would go back!

While we really enjoyed our stay in February 2025 I do have a few suggestions.
1) For a kid friendly resort lunch options are limited for kids. The buffet is great but snack huts with chips, granola bars, etc would go a long way! Also would love to see chicken tenders and French fries added to the room service menu and maybe even a macaroni dish.
2) While I understand the need to spray for mosquitos, we were literally fogged on our way to dinner the first night. We do not like to subject ourselves to inhaling pesticides so maybe best to do this at night when most are asleep or early morning.
3) The lounge chairs and cabanas are showing their age and in my opinion are in need of replacement.
4) Map was very unhelpful as nothing is marked clearly and resort is huge. A golf cart tour upon arrival would have been great!
5) Lastly.for a family resort I suggest implementing smoking areas. My kids were bothered by the smoking that was allowed everywhere (pools, shows, etc).
Overall staff is friendly, food is good and housekeeping was amazing. We loved the nightly shows and our kids were always entertained by the daily activities!

Not a great place. Maybe I've been to much better so I expected better. Pool towels are hard to come by. Room design for 2 parents and 2 kids (11/12) was very inconvenient. Balcony had 2 uncomfortable chairs. Tub on balcony, would take over an hour to fill, no joke. Breakfast/lunch buffet was not good. Cold plates, raw burgers, long lines, only half stocked at opening, then slow to restock. You can't see the pool from your chair (@ family pool). Place in general looks in poor shape.

So far this is the best hotel for me in the whole area!
Food and drinks are AMAZING; taste,variety, quality... The hotel has the perfect size. If you've been to Punta Cana you might have noticed that some hotels are like small cities Very HUGE. This one is big but very well designed and easy to walk and reach from point A to B.
The rooms are very comfortable; the beds, the pillows, the size of the toilet area! (some hotels have a toilet area the size of a jail cell bathroom or gas station bathroom).
Love the water slides and the concert area located in the pool, They have amazing parties over there!
You won't regret coming here.

This place was absolutely amazing! The staff was friendly and helpful. The food was amazing with lots of restaurants with no reservation required (french, Mexican, Italian, Japanese, etc).
It has one of the nicest beaches Ive ever been on. The pool is spectacular and the water slides are an absolute added bonus! I would highly highly recommend this resort!

From the minute we walked off our shuttle we enjoyed every minute. We got upgraded to preferred thanks to our friends and the little perks we got were great. Marco was our butler and he was amazing he did everything that was asked of him not that we needed anything extra but when we did he came through for us always with a smile. We sat around the big pool most days and had wonderful service from Lady (yes that’s her name) she was very accommodating and always had a smile. The people that work at the resort are all so gracious and always greeted you with a smile. The a la carts were amazing as well as the buffet. It was a wonderful experience from beginning to end. Our recent trip to Secrets Royal Punta Cana was nothing short of amazing! From check-in to check-out, every aspect of our stay was a breeze. The entire experience was seamless, allowing us to focus on enjoying our vacation.
Upon arrival, we were greeted with warm hospitality that set the tone for our stay. The resort itself is stunning, with its beautiful landscapes and pristine cleanliness, truly making it a paradise on Earth.
A special shout-out goes to Ramses, our incredible butler, who took care of everything we needed practically in the blink of an eye! His attentiveness and willingness to accommodate our every request exceeded all expectations. Whether it was securing reservations at the fantastic on-site restaurants or arranging activities, Ramses ensured that our stay was stress-free and enjoyable.
One highlight of our dining experience was the hibachi night that we added to our itinerary. It was so good that we couldn’t resist going back for a second night! The lively atmosphere and delicious food made for an unforgettable culinary experience.
Speaking of food, the other culinary offerings were simply delightful! Each meal was a wonderful experience, and we were consistently impressed by the quality and variety available throughout the resort.
If you’re fortunate enough to meet Ramses upon your arrival, consider yourself lucky! His exceptional service truly made our trip unforgettable. We can’t recommend Secrets Royal Punta Cana enough, and we can’t wait to return for another magical experience!

We have been to 3 different hotels in Punta Cana so far but this one is our favorite. The beach is always clean with plenty of palapas. The white sand and blue water are gorgeous!
The hotel is very clean and the rooms are nice although we frankly didn't spend a lot of time there.
One reason we like this location the best is the international buffet. My husband is a big eater and I'm a picky eater but their buffet kept us both pleased with the wide variety of options. The buffet staff were some of the best and most attentive during our visit.
Although I wish the beach staff had been more attentive, it wasn't bad enough to lower the star rating.
We will be back again!

The staff at this resort went above and beyond our expectations, the food was the best culinary experience in Punta Cana or Mexico so far. On the last evening the resort had organized a diner on the beach with over 200 guests, the execution was marvellous and it was a wonderful ending to our stay.
The retro show was the best of the week, entertaining professional with great dancers. There was too much country music playing on the beach night, not enough music variety. However, this was our best all inclusive experience so far. We strongly recommend it.

We recently returned from a six day vacation and thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience! The room was very nice. We were located in building 4B and found it was perfectly situated between the main building, pools and beach. Jose Luis Adames was our butler, and was excellent! We travelled with two other families and all of our restaurant, pool, beach, and show requests were met without fail. We were all very satisfied and would request him for any future visits! Breakfast at Isla was definitely the best. Burgers at Stacked and food at many other locations was very good. We felt safe the entire time and were comfortable letting our 12 and 14 year old wander the large property. It was an amazing week and we were quite sad to leave!!

We just been to Hard Rock for 8 nights as 7 adults and 5 children.
Pros
1. The rooms are nice and clean (however the lower rooms have had massive mosquito problems)
2. It is true all inclusive, no annoying things on the menu that you have to pay surplus for
3. Some staff are really lovely
4. Good for kids (as it is not a luxury resort)
Cons
1. The food isn't very good, really there to cater to the masses
2. They randomly close restaurants for private functions and maintenance. They don't communicate to staff or guests.
3. The beach has lots of cigarette butts and and plastic debris from guests. And if you get cabanas ($100 per cabana), you get constantly harassed by sellers.
4. Most of the staff can be really rude and sometimes argumentative. Customer service is non existent and you keep sent to different desks to book things.
5. The Legendary tour/breakfast is the worst! You have 3 hours of your day wasted, you have to go through 4 people trying to sell to you and then if you are promised any discounts for attending and don't sign up, you get send to rude cashiers who make it very difficult to get the deals.
6. The arcade, bowling alley, golf ($300), youyu restaurant are all at extra cost. All the shops are really inflated prices. Resort credit as advertised when booking is non existent.
Also do not book directly with hard rock! They scam you out of luggage they book basic economy flights even is it you select standard economy. Even if you provide proof, they tell you "they have provided the best service they can" and stop replying. Also don't be duped by the free transfers, it is for only two people (they charge for babies sitting on your lap) and they don't arrive and don't reply to emails when trying to book it.
I can see the appeal people coming from America etc, but don't waste the journey from England! There a much nicer places to come at much better value.

We just got home from a week long vacation from the Hard Rock Punta Cana. The resort grounds, pools, beach and ocean were beautiful. Our butler, Jose Luis Adame, was attentive to our every need. He reserved all of our pool/beach chairs, restaurant reservations, show reservations, and checked in with us as needed to make sure we had everything we needed everyday. We traveled with 2 other families and he was able to coordinate our reservations for restaurants and pool/beach chairs to be next to each other. He made our trip very enjoyable to not have to manage all of these details at a resort we haven’t traveled to prior to this trip. We are looking forward to going back and seeing Jose again!

Beautiful resort, disappointing food and service
The Hard Rock Hotel in Punta Cana is visually stunning — the resort itself is beautiful, the rooms are spacious, the pools are amazing, and the entertainment is top-notch. But unfortunately, the food and some of the service don’t live up to the 5-star expectations.
One major issue is communication. I don’t expect everyone to speak perfect English, but around 80% of the staff struggled with even basic questions. At Ipanema, the steakhouse, I asked if they served beef, and the waiter replied, “No pizza here,” while cooking chicken in front of me. That’s not acceptable in a resort of this level.
Another serious issue: food safety. At the sushi restaurant, we were served frozen sushi and sashimi — not cold, frozen. It was like eating sashimi ice cream. We felt sick for two days afterward.
Being Italian, I didn’t have high expectations for the Italian cuisine, but the pasta and pizza were far from any acceptable standard. Same for the Mexican restaurant — sadly, the flavors were way off.
To summarize: the resort deserves 5 stars, but the food and service barely get 1. If you're coming for the scenery and vibes, you'll love it. But if you're a foodie or expect high-level hospitality, be prepared to be disappointed.

We traveled with 8 families and I don’t think our service could have been better! Og and Muriel, our concierge “butlers” were so attentive and made everything SO easy! Felt like VIPs with their service! Saved us chairs at pool and beach! Got us specific requests to room, reservations for our large group to almost every restaurant there!

The beach is clean and gorgeous!!!! The activities for the kids and adults were . My 4 year old loved the kids club! Although I don’t typically let my kids run amok when traveling, it felt very safe and secure to let them go between ice cream and arcade and teen clubs. My 4 year old asked me to go back today lol.
The all inclusive makes things so easy. Clearly catered to families here.
I’d go again.
For those looking for cons: it’s a huge complex, lots of walking. I actually enjoy this to work off all the food and drinks! But some may not enjoy all the walking. You can catch a “tram” golf carts or rent one.
restaurant wise: the steakhouse wasn’t their forte (toro). Get the risotto at the Italian restaurant! So good.
The fridge in the room didnt get cold which was annoying but they filled it every morning.
All of us have been saying how we are already ready to go back!
