Really enjoyed a recent stay at this resort. The property is well kept and the staff are great. The food at the buffet was actually better than the specialty restaurants in my opinion. The food was hot, there was a lot of variety, the buffet area was kept very clean, nicely presented and well stocked. We had less reliable experiences at the specialty restaurants. We enjoyed the golf course, and the beach and pool areas were easy to get to and well cared for. The room was a little dated, but clean and comfortable. The staff were very nice-- and I appreciated how helpful and reliable they were in arranging transportation. I would return!

Wouldn’t say this a 5 star resort as a whole. Our holiday inn express hotel room in Orlando was A LOT nicer. The location from the airport and view of the beach is amazing. Beautiful views. Our room was just ok, luckily we didn’t spend much time in the room except to sleep and the beds were comfortable. The drinks were good and plentiful. The food, we found, was not good. The hamburger didn’t taste like a hamburger. I took one bite and said nope. The buffet, as an American, 80% of the food I had no clue what it was and I’m not picky and will try anything. The banana wrapped with bacon- not good. My wife and I said if we would have brought our kids to the other side- we would have had trouble for them to find something to eat. We went with a Huge group and the consensus was the food was terrible. The best meal we had was at the airport Wendy’s. We also tried reservations at one of the restaurants on the golf course- still not good. The resort-one side is adults and the other side is kid friendly. There is no barrier so if you are thinking adults only-think again. There’s only one pool that was entirely adults only. We didn’t mind this, but If you are looking for a true adults only, I’d go somewhere else. The language barrier was a little hard for most of the people we went with, but that’s understandable in a foreign country. Everyone was friendly. We would love to go back to Dominican, but we will try a different resort next time.

Yahaira Santana really made our stay better. The Entertainment team was amazing, the service was out of this world and the room was awesome. We got a free upgrade on our room to a Junior Suit and the entire stay could not have been better! Best vacation EVER!!!

All in all we had a very good trip. Not a five start resort but it worked for 8 guys playing a little golf. Loved the Lakes course, great guys there to take care of you. Outside of rough bunkers we loved it. Some great golf holes. The resort staff where either fantastic or miserable. Buffett(adult) was very good. A la carte restaurants are frustrating to book and worse when you get there. Bad service and mediocre food. Not worth it. Rooms are dated but kept clean and the ac works great.

We enjoyed our trip and the resort is really nice. The staff was extremely friendly, they always had a smile on their faces and always greeted you when you walked past them. The grounds are kept very clean and maintained. The beach is huge, it can be a little dirty in areas but that's because of visitors. There was security always present which made it feel safe. The pool was cold, it was hard to get use to and they played very slow "elevator" music, when I was there for the pool party and they played up beat music everyone was having a great time including the staff. I think that type of music should be played all day. It would make the pool more entertaining to be at. We did struggle with the food, our stomachs didn't feel the best during our visit. The nightlife at the lobby bar was great! You could tell everyone was enjoying their night. We stayed in building 5 with a Seaview on the second floor, it was perfect for the view. You could tell that it needed some upgrades but it was a place to sleep and the bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. Overall we were happy with our trip.

This is an amazing hotel that takes all the steps for a memorable stay. The food is outstanding and better than any other resorts we have been to. The entertainment is amazing, we were very impressed with the quality of the shows which are scheduled every night with a nice variety of different themes. The beach is amazing and there is a lot of room to swim in shallow waters. The staff is also very welcoming and kind. Incredible experience for us at Breathless.

This is a nice property located on a beautiful beach. Dreams, Breathless and Secrets are all together and give the hotel group strong beach security. The hotels also combine resources and are able to groom the beach each morning, providing a beautiful, clean beach each day. Breathless is geared towards the party crowd with entertainment and bars open late into the night. The buffet is one of the best I have experienced, and the French themed restaurant is outstanding. The rest of the restaurants are subpar, in my opinion. The pools are wonderful, clean, and well maintained. Smoking is allowed in most places on the property, including the pool area. This is much different than the policies in the U.S. Drinks are good. I would recommend paying for the upgrade service to access the private bar and breakfast restaurant. The rooms are average, clean, and warm. The service from the staff is outstanding. This is an adult only property, so if you have kids under 18, go to Dreams. If the loud party scene is not your thing, go to Secrets.

This resort is gorgeous! The staff are so friendly! Need to give a few shout outs! Daisy at the Nook Cafe was such an amazing person, always a friendlt face, ready to chat with us. Felix, Angel and Margolis at the pool were so wonderful and attentive! The trip was made so much better by them! Raymundo at the buffet is a wonderful! Julian at the buffet was my only bad staff experience. He was rude and basically mocked me for leaving my phone in the room to charge. Ridiculous! The food was very tasty but often barely warm. The drinks were wonderful. The rooms were always clean and looked updated to me. The pools were clean. Easy to get new pool towels. Lots of chairs to choose from. The entertainment was a bit repetitive but the singer(s) were very talented! The pool parties were a hit. Even with my app downloaded, I couldn't find entertainment info so unless I asked staff, we missed out. It would be nice if something was posted somewhere.. not everyone wants to live on their phone while away. Overall, I would recommend this resort! It was a great week away!

First off my reviews are me comparing to other resorts visited. It's day 2 here so my review is an early first impression. Very rough start and had originally started my review disappointed but that changed day 2 when our concierge reached out!! We booked in Exhale Club. 'ONAL', our concierge was amazing. Very attentive to our needs and checked in every day to answer questions. Comfy bed, outdated, for a Hyatt resort. No drawers for your clothes, just a closet. Very noisy, you can hear everyone in the hallways!! The location is about an hour, shared drive, from the airport but worth it. The beach is definitely 'breathless' ;) No need to save loungers, there are plenty. Drinks are good, top-shelf selections. The food is really good, and many restaurants to choose from so you won't be hungry!! Service is great, but it's good to walk for your drinks, keeps your intake under control!! The grounds are lavish and well-maintained. Everyone works so hard at the resort. The pools are cleaned daily and the main pool is the best I've seen on my travels. The center pool is for the party/younger crowd. This resort is definitely for all ages 18 - 90. I highly recommend and will be returning. Thank you 'BREATHLESS' 😉

First I would like to say the rooms in the hotel and the grounds deserve 10 starts. Unfortunately that’s when things spiral down. If you like laying down by the pool, you need to get down by the poolside by 7am and put a towel on your pool chair, otherwise you will not get a seat for the whole day as whether you’re using it or not, simply putting a towel on it makes it ‘yours’ for the whole day. The ironic part is the towel shed doesn’t open until 8:30, so I strongly suggest taking towels to your room the day before or you probably won’t get a chair all day as there is limited seating. I was looking forward to using the private terrace Hottub on our balcony, but unfortunately ours didn’t work. We were told by our ‘ butler’ , yes butler , that it would be fixed right away, but that never happened. The overall dining experiences were very pleasurable, but last night at the steakhouse restaurant called ‘The Strip ‘ was the absolute worse experience. Without going into detail here, I left a full review of it , just google the actual restaurant name to see my full detailed review. Unless you like to drink a lot,which we don’t , and hit or miss at the restaurant’s, My wife and I would not come back again and prefer to pay our way for better dining experiences as well as paying for our own drinks. Lastly, when you check in, they don’t give you any welcome package unless you ask for 1, but even if you do, it’s only a map of the resort. Bottom line, it’s a beautiful resort with the majority of the staff being extremely friendly, but the few negatives left enough impressions that we would return. I’m writing this review the morning of the day before we check out and I’m hoping it’s a great experience for us here on our last full day

Had a wonderful short Easter holiday vacation to Secrets Royal Beach Punta Cana. Stayed in club king room. Check in was quick using the club level check in. Nightly entertainment was fun. Food was good. Weather was great. Beach was nice white sand, unfortunately there was a bit of seafood/sargassum that we had to deal with. Seemed to have a lack of beach service. Would definitely come back here.

Just spent 4 nights there and it was a great experience, starting with the staff. It was our second stay at a Secrets, having previously stayed at the Secrets Riviera south of Cancun. The staff was absolutely wonderful. With really no exceptions, everyone we encountered was very kind and patient and helpful, and as a result the whole vibe was very relaxed and casual. The Preferred upgrade wasn't especially exclusive, but it was worth it for access to the large restaurant next to the main pool and the separate beach areas. The drinks were generally better, too. The beach and the grounds are beautiful. The food was pretty good - a couple of dinners were just fine and a couple were excellent. Honestly, our go-to food option a few times a day were the burgers, fries, nachos and salads at the Barefoot Grill for lunch on the beach. The atmosphere felt lively without ever feeling crowded. Getting a table for dinner between 7 - 8 was a challenge, but we just had a late lunch and were fine. You also have to get to the beach or the pool fairly early to reserve a chair in a good spot, but they open up as the day goes on. All-in-all, I'd give it a 9/10, with a point off for food. If I were booking a trip to Punta Cana again I would 100% go back.

We had a group of 19 total join us for our wedding celebration at Secrets Royal Beach. We unanimously agree that this was a fantastic resort - great food, beautiful pools and beaches, and exceptional service. My husband and I worked with Danilka to plan the perfect wedding day. We could not say more good things about her; she is incredibly sweet, accommodating, and thorough. We were so glad to have her in charge of coordinating the most important day of our lives. Every detail was perfect because of her! At our reception, the staff providing food and bar service were extremely attentive and fun. We also had Maria as our liaison who assisted in making sure our wedding day went off without a hitch - from transporting wedding items, to planning a special surprise on our wedding night, she was amazing. Highly recommend this resort!!!!

Our stay here was too short, our room was gorgeous as well as the resort! Loved that we had our own pool! The staff were friendly and attentive... The Secrets Resorts are very nice, and clean just maybe in a different location. If I'm being honest.... Punta Cana is a one & done for me, I'm sorry to admit that I didn't feel all that safe there and we didn't even leave the resort... It was a Mr. Steal your girl vibes...

The resort is beautiful and spacious. The beach is gorgeous! The service was outstanding from the moment we arrived. Caesar and Riccardo helped our large group get checked in with ease. Our butler Luis gave us a tour of the resort. He made sure we all knew how to contact him at any time, and checked in every morning and evening to make sure we had everything we needed. The service at the pool was great as well..shout outs to Antonio and Rosa!! The only flaw was the food there was not quite as good as other secrets resorts. Overall it exceeded my expectations!

Marianne was the best butler ever! Her attention to every detail and making sure our vacation was awesome was her priority! I would recommend her highly! Miguel in the lobby was so very helpful and made our day more than once. Angela at Helios was also excellent, remembering our names and always making us feel special. All the staff at Helios made us feel wonderful every day, they excel at their jobs. What an excellent resort overall and I would highly recommend it.

We had an enjoyable time at the resort. The grounds are beautiful and the beach was incredible. We enjoyed the swim-up pool. The rooms were clean and comfortable, although a bit worn and dated. The staff are the best asset of the resort. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Estarlyn went above and beyond to make our stay so enjoyable. He was always pleasant and worked hard to meet our needs. He was able to secure a reservation to the one of the restaurants that was booked up on our last evening at the resort. He even came to work a few minutes early to say good-bye on our last morning before departing.

HONEYMOON STAY! Service - Fantastic, our butlers Manuel E. and Cindy were so so attentive and nice. Made us feel so comfortable. Resort - Overall the resort was awesome. Lots to do, food was a hit or miss depending on what you're into, Breakfast seemed to be the best for us, Capricho was the SPOT. The main pools were nice, would have been nice if they had some sort of music playing to kind of bring more life to the space but other than that it was great. This was my wife's first trip to an all inclusive and she felt so comfortable and SAFE. Overall, this experience makes us want to not only return but to check out some of the other TRS locations. Every experience here at the hotel was exceptional, from the food to service, from the facilities to the staff. We had an amazing stay here and even can’t find a negative point to complain about. Staff are very caring and do their best to accommodate you. The beach and the sea is exceptionally eye catching. The Spa is so relaxing and calming and I really liked the Kusko restaurant and chic cabaret. A big thank you to palladium team to facilitate this experience.

Highly recommend! We had a great experience. Miguel (lobby) was a great host! Find Allana at one of the pools. She provides excellent and quick drink service. Jeffrey at the lobby bar was amazing! Jose at the pool bar was also excellent. Food was great at all of the restaurants we tried (Italian, French, Mexican, and Japanese). Drinks were great everywhere but especially at lobby bar. Rooms were clean and well stocked. If we come back to DR we will come here again.

This All Inclusive resort has it all! Extremely comfortable rooms, beautiful beaches, and an amazing atmosphere. Most of all, the staff at this resort are phenomenal and are so welcoming! Elisaul went above and beyond when it came to participating in playing pool volleyball and making sure we were enjoying ourselves. The 24 hour room service was used throughout the entirety of my trip with ease. Staff members would go above and beyond when it came to the daily detailed cleaning of the hotel rooms and throughout the resort. Drinks were strong and came in plenty! The food was amazing with the hibachi restaurant being my favorite. I plan to come back to this resort without question. 10/10 recommend with ZERO complaints starting from the champagne greeting upon check-in to the luggage service departing the resort. Amazing trip! Unbeatable service and perfect beaches! The preferred suites are worth it for the Rosewater restaurant, breakfast lunch and dinner were delicious. Italian and French restaurants were also incredible. Amazing staff! Manuel especially, the margarita master! Perfect vacation. Highly recommend.

This is a nice resort for adult couples with a very nice pool, beach, and restaurants. The service by everyone was wonderful! The staff in all areas were very polite, friendly, and ready to help in any way. Our Concierge, Angelo Mercedes was especially great! He kept us informed daily and helped us in any way we needed. He went the extra mile to make sure we had everything we needed in our room and anything we needed for getting around the resort. I would recommend requesting Angelo for anyone staying here.

The hotel and service are top notch! Our butlers, Eduardo and Valentin, were very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed! The resort has amazing pools and a beautiful beach. There is a fitness trail/walk that is lined with trees and shrubs, we enjoyed walks there overlooking the golf course. You never lack for anything as staff are always nearby to take a beverage order. There are several restaurants to choose from for dinner and the breakfast and lunch buffets offer many delicious options. The food was consistently very good. The service was dependable and staff were eager to please and ensure your visit was going as well as possible!

My husband and I can here for my 40th and it did not disappoint! The grounds and the food were amazing!! This was the first time we had a butler on a vacation and Eduardo was the best!!! He tended to every need we had and made me feel so special on my birthday! Whatever you needed whether it be big or small he made it happen! All the restaurants were amazing, steakhouse and French were my favorites! We definitely will be coming back or finding another Iberostar on our next vacation!

I am an avid traveller. The service level at this resort is outstanding. The people are warm and friendly. The grounds are immaculate. Exceptional value. Eduardo & Valentine were our floor butlers- their friendly approach and attention to detail made us feel at home. Rosalva made sure our room was beautifully refreshed each day. We looked forward to her creative ‘gifts’ upon our return from a day at the beach or pool. The fun and fit team was entertaining— archery, corn hole, ping pong, all were a lot of fun! Yoga Sunday through Wednesday was awesome- he provided an appropriate class for vacation - not too technical but effective. This was our first all inclusive and we are thrilled with our experience.

We loved our stay here...the resort was stunning and not too far from the airport (20 minutes). We booked through Delta Vacations and were pleased with the whole process. Our room was in building 2 on the 6th floor...it offered an amazing panoramic view of the ocean and the sunrise. It was spacious, clean and comfortable. The food was great (especially the buffet, Italian restaurant and the hibachi place) and the staff was warm/helpful. We visited the coffee cafe in the lobby a number of times and never waited more than a few minutes. We were able to secure reservations for the two restaurants where they were recommended ahead of our trip by contacting the concierge desk. The pools were in great condition and the beach was kept well maintained. We also liked visiting the Castle pool where there was almost no one else! The other parts of the Castle (indoor water feature) and gym were also top notch. Although we only walked through the shops and little restaurants at Sanctuary town...it was a fun little addition on the resort. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and look forward to visiting again!

Simply an amazing experience from start to finish. Unmatched service, great food, spectacular views and outstanding rooms. Sanctuary is beautifully maintained and offers the perfect environment to relax. Despite the number of people at the resort, it never feels crowded, there are plenty of quiet spots to just sit and enjoy the amazing view and take advantage of the amenities. The staff could not be friendlier or more helpful.

Hotel was very nice but our service was excellent. From day one we had 3 members of the hotel taking care of us daily. Felix always had two beds ready for us on the beach. He always had an amazing attitude which made the interaction great. Juan Jose took care of our breakfasts and also the two times we ate at the Steak House. Alexander was our butler who was there for every need we had. The trip would have been great but because of these three it was amazing.

We truly enjoyed our stay here...the resort was very stunning with beautiful architecture. Resort is only about 20 minutes from the airport. My wife and I just came back from a 4 days vacation at this resort. The service is top level and the food is amazing. They go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable. This is not a place for someone looking to party or have a wild time. Its mostly for couples or older folks looking to just relax. It is a quiet environment that aims to attract people who want to escape the fast world we live in. We had an assigned person dedicated to assist us in anything we needed (Alexander) and he was extremely nice and attentive. We met so many great people there: Eduardo an amazing guy who went above and beyond, Kelvin at the Blue Marlin restaurant always gave us top notch service, Esteban at the bar by the beach was excellent, Ariana by the Coffee stand was super nice but those are just the names I can remember. I have no complaints about anyone at all and would recommend it for someone looking to just reconnect. Dominica Republic may not have oil or diamonds but it is a rich country in beauty and the kindness of its people!

The best experience. Staff was so courteous, kind and helpful. Room was awesome, bed was comfy and views were spectacular. Photos do not do this place justice. Restaurants offered a variety of options and it was great to be able to try various cuisine options. There is something for everyone of any age. It was a romantic getaway for my husband and I and we enjoyed every moment we were there.

The good : The location is beautiful, service from food/bars was wonderful, the staff was kind. Views are phenomenal. Pool & hot tubs are large. And beaches were clean and lots of activities to do. But unfortunately we had really bad luck it seems with our rooms & communication with the concierge and front desk. We got in on Wednesday, our room was nice and clean. We then went out to enjoy the amenities and get lunch, and were met by the front desk and sat down as they tried to sell us on a presentation for a timeshare/membership. This cut into our time and we had to wait until dinner to eat since lunch ended at 4pm, this happened directly after a long flight and we just wanted to relax. On Thursday morning, we went to breakfast shortly after and came back to the room to find that our shower door was shattered and glass all over the room. We immediately called the front for help, a lot of people came in to ask questions and do a report, we were not given an explanation as to what might have happened, we aren’t sure if someone was in the room or if this was just a freak thing. I am thankful we were not in the shower or room when it happened, this could’ve been really awful. They didn’t give us much information but told us that we would need to pack up while they find us a new room. It took 3 hours for them to have a room ready for us. This was very stressful for us and scary. Cutting into our vacation time and leaving us in a dangerous situation. We were put in a new room a few doors over, and this room smelled so bad of mildew. There was water damage in this room and a leaking ceiling in the shower along with some mold. After the entire morning, we didn’t want to call or complain about this, we just wanted to try to enjoy our vacation so we dealt with it the rest of our stay. I woke up with new bug bites every morning, I am not sure if this was from the bugs outside or if there were bugs in the room, we couldn’t detect bed begs, but my bites were on the ankles and feet upon waking up. During this trip I also ended up getting food poisoning, I believe it was either from the buffet or the beach nachos. I would not recommend eating at either. I think it might be safer to eat at the restaurants instead if you are staying here. I do believe we just had a really unlucky experience, some of the others that we knew that went on this trip didn’t experience some of these issues and had a good time. I definitely expected more from a Hyatt and am definitely disappointed in how our experience was.

Amazing experience. The hotel is just phenomenal. So beautiful. Never felt crowded. The staff is 10/10. Friendly, loving and overly accommodating. The food was also really good. Like the fact that kids are so erste from the adult only area. We will be back. The spa was so amazing that I went back twice.

10 out of 10 recommend. We came here for our annual birthday trip and the entire stay was nothing short of amazing. The location was beautiful and so peaceful even with the events held for guests we couldn’t hear a thing in our swim up rooms. The spa is an absolute must here. The experience you get for the price point is unmatched. And last but not least the customer service. Everyone and I mean everyone was so kind and treated us so well especially Carlos Rodriguez down at the Pier. He went above and beyond for us every day and made sure to take care of any reservations we needed for the night. We are truly grateful for every experience and to each and everyone we met here. It’s truly been a pleasure. And to anyone planning to go tip well it goes a long way :)

The Staff was so helpful, thoughtful and bent over backwards to make you feel comfortable. The rooms were over the top awesome. So many activities you didn't have to leave the Resort and the same for food. Kid friendly but also for couples who want quiet time. Definitely a must! I don't think you'll be disappointed at all 😄😉
