**Hotel Review** I recently had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful hotel and I couldn't be happier with my experience! I would definitely rate it five stars. The beach is absolutely stunning, making it a perfect spot for families to enjoy. However, I should mention that the waves can be quite strong, so it might not be the best for little ones. The rooms were impeccably clean, which added to the overall comfort of our stay. The staff here are incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The food was delicious, although the selection was somewhat limited, it was always fresh and tasty. Overall, this hotel is a fantastic choice for a couple getaway, and I highly recommend it!

occidental is a great resort it is My second time here and It never disappoints. between the resort, the entertainers, the food, and the people here it's amazing. The entertainer coco is excellent he makes the experience enhanced while you are here along with the rest of the team.

Just got back from a 3 night stay at the Occidental Caribe. This was my 5th time in Punta Cana, first time at this resort. This resort is pretty big. You will get your steps in. The resort is very pretty on the outside. Keep in mind this resort is 25 years old. The rooms need A LOT of TLC. The bathrooms are dated and dirty. The buffets were not the best. I would recommend the pool side grill for lunch, or the Pizzeria. The pizza was outstanding. You can find something on the buffet to tickle your fancy, but don't expect to be wowed. This resort is located on the Atlantic Ocean side, so expect a lot of wind and somewhat rough water. The best description for this resort is POTENTIAL. It is beautiful and offers excellent guest service, but many things need to be improved.

Beautiful views and good service ! Food is good but the buffet line can get long. The rooms are okay but the rest of the resort and the shows are wonderful. The beach is clean and the pools are well kept.

The beach and pools were great, but the room was not clean—there was mold in the corners. The restaurants were very busy, and I was only able to get a reservation for one restaurant on one night. We were told the others were fully booked. Don’t fall for the claim that they have six restaurants; it’s misleading you are not going to be able to enjoy them.

There isn't anything wrong with the resort but nothing stands out. We have staying in resorts in other parts of dominican, Mexico and Cuba and this was the least memorable. The worst part of traveling is other travelers to be honest, and this location was the worst which isn't the hotels fault but likely a reason the staff is disinterested in engaging with the guest. Positives: Our experience with check in was good. Our room was fine and we had a peek of the ocean from the balcony (building 6) Pools are nice. Beach is exceptional. Lots of fruit and veggies on the buffet. Staff in the oriental restaurant are top notch and what you would anticipate from a resort. Nice layout for the resort and grounds are well taken care of. Negatives Staff is disinterested (again the travelers here were so rude to other guests so I can't imagine how they are to staff so I'm sure the staff is just over it) Food is wildly repetive. Massive buffet but after eating the same thing for 7 days...it gets old. First few days are fine. Restaurants are not good or organized besides the Oriental one for resort restaurants. Shows aren't great (at least not while we were there. The circus one had talent. They had beach parties and karaoke as shows which is entertaining but not like a show from most resorts. Important note to travelers. Be better. Wait in line. Wait your turn. If you meet someone along a path, move aside instead of taking up the whole path. Don't reserve beach or pool chairs and leave. It's rude. If everyone just used a chair while they were there, others would be use them as well. Also your beach bag doesn't need a chair. Just be better and remember that you represent your country while abroad.

Before choosing this hotel, think twice and read all the negative reviews first! When checking in, I had purchased a room with a sea view, but there was no view! If you want a sea-view room, you have to pay twice—once when booking the hotel and again at reception! The rooms are old. If you want a luxury room, you have to pay an extra $700 for 7 days at reception on top of your package. But the most shocking part—there’s no wardrobe 😳, just a few hangers! There’s nowhere to hang wet clothes on the balcony, and because of the constant wind, the clothes fly away! The food is repetitive and monotonous. The staff is rude! On the beach, vendors constantly pressure you to buy something. Do not buy excursions on the beach! Only book through your tour guide! The internet doesn’t work in the room (unless you pay extra). I paid for a safe, but it didn’t work either! I am disappointed and angry!!!

Stayed at Vista Sol over Christmas and New Year’s. Don’t believe the bad reviews. Those people need help. The resort runs like a well oiled machine. The workers do a fantastic job. Front desk was quick and easy. We upgraded our room from 10 to building 8 for an extra $10. The property is gorgeous and well maintained by the garden staff. Truly a breathtaking experience exploring the property. Animation is super creative and entertaining. House keeping is doing an amazing job. Kitchen staff, cooks and dining room service work hard and the meals are great with a variety of food. Bartenders make drinks and bars are accessible around the property. Restaurants are easy to book on tablets in the main hall. Beach is fantastic and always seating and loungers available. There’s a food truck and a small pizza kiosk on the other end. We prefer the other end as it is less busy. There is a beautiful pier to walk out onto as well. You’re right in the heart of the Bavaro Beach area. Stores and restaurants near by. Please explore! Really an amazing 4 1/2 star hotel. Don’t even think about it, book it and enjoy!

This hotel claims to be 4 stars and all inclusive, but it is not! I give it 3 stars, no more. When we arrived, we naturally wanted to drink champagne and relax, because we had been flying for almost 5 hours. It turned out that champagne in this hotel is paid for and you have to buy a whole bottle (very strange!) All drinks, including local rum, are also paid for. The only free ones are watered down cocktails of dubious origin! The service staff practically does not speak English, which makes communication and mutual understanding difficult!! Also, the excursions are not of good quality, you can't ride cars and motorcycles either, because they break down right away. If you ordered big cars, like we did, then you may be given something completely different from what you paid for. The owner of this resort thinks that people who come here are fools 🤣, he is wrong, he himself is a big idiot if he sells alcohol that was paid for a long time ago! We will never come here again and will not recommend it to our friends!!!

*** IF YOU READ ANY REVIEWS LET IT BE THIS ONE**** there are many fake reviews on this hotel and please don't get stuck here. I booked this resort for a week, and I could not be more disappointed. When I arrived to my room there was a dirty white lace thong hanging from my shower and glass all over the floor. ( please see photos attached) the sheets are stained and the rooms dirty. The food is absolutely disgusting. The only meal I could eat on the resort was breakfast until day three when I went to get some scrambled eggs and found myself eating plastic and egg shells in my eggs 🤮. I ended up eating off the resort and the food around the resort was delicious. The restaurants on the resort are absolutely horrendous. I went to the American restraint for one night ordered the steak. The meat that came out was not steak and all muscle. I couldn't not cut it, my boyfriend ordered the steak also and was served pork ( pork was not even on the menu) or at least we think it was pork. The gourmet restaurant is to be avoided the food was awful the table beside us ate plastic in their cheese cake. The resort is advertised as multilingual it is absolutely not, no one spoke English not even guest services. The staff was rude we always would smile and tip almost every single time we got a drink or spoke with someone and not one staff member smiled back. They were doing construction (cutting tile )at 10pm to 2am for the first 4 nights my poor boyfriend hadn't slept for 4 nights. When I finally asked the guest services about possibly changing rooms she showed us 2 rooms with no Ac. The staff would constantly be of their phones ignoring you. I am not one to complain in fact never write reviews on google but if it could spare someone from visiting this resort I will do it. just another side note we met SEVERAL people who had things stolen out of their room one person lost a whole bag another money and when they approached the front desk they said the cameras were not working. PLEASE PLEASE enjoy your vacation somewhere else.

After flying 10hours from France and not knowing what to expect , I can say that I spent an amazing 10 days vacation in Be Live Collection Adults Only Punta Cana with my mother in every way. The hotel is very clean, cozy,and beautifully designed. The rooms are very spacious, clean and have very comfortable beds. The chefs and the staff are very friendly having always a service with a smile. The food was very fresh and tasty with lots of variety . The beach was beautiful and long , great for walks. In addition the General Manager and Nicolas from the VP desk were very attentive to our needs and made us feel like home. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitively come back even if I have to fly another 10hours ! :) Thank you everybody for making our vacation a very memorable one. Best regards, Aneta G.

My family and I came to this hotel for our summer holiday in July, it was lovely! Amazing views and generally quite clean, we had a few issues with our first room but was quickly and easily sorted! The food in the buffet is quite simple but the restaurant system is very good. All of the staff are super friendly and welcoming, most of them speak English too which is great. The entertainment is great with something different everyday, biggest appreciation to ‘sexy belly’ who never fails to make everyone laugh! All around a nice experience and would recommend, definitely would visit this hotel again.

Resort was fun! They had foam parties, large pools, servers and bartenders were great! I enjoyed the a la carte restaurants a lot, the buffet was okay! I did get food poisoning pretty badly for two days - I think from the burger/wing shack. Overall I had a blast though! Resort was beautiful, rooms were large and air conditioning worked well!

I stayed in this hotel back in 2017. I had the time of my life. The pool is amazing and they keep you entertained with fun activities during the day. The buffet is great and we specially enjoyed the restaurants we could book for no extra cost. Food available the whole day and nightlife every night. It was great.

My husband and I stayed at this resort as a last minute booking. The amenities were good but the rooms could have been much better, there are no doors to the shower so water was all over the bathroom floor. I definitely don't consider it a 5 star resort nor is it adults only. The beach was nice but you can not enjoy due to several different people coming up to you trying to sell you things, it became very annoying so we didn't spend much time on the beach at the resort at all. The bartenders at the bar closer to the pool were amazing, the bartenders closer to the lobby not so much. The buffet is pretty good, there are other restaurant options but you have to make a reservation in the mornings for dinner or you will not be able to get in.

I will get straight to the point. My experience wasn’t the best. The service slightly average. Teenager ran the place and no one cared. My friends neighbor played music all night when we signed a paper stating we wouldn’t. It was reported and nothing was done. I cut both my feet on the beach. Will I return probably not. The room was beautiful and the view was nice with the swim up pool.

This is the worst vacation that could have been. The beach looks beautiful, but when you go into the water, you step on the stones. It is impossible to go into the water without shoes. It is simply terrible. People walk slowly so as not to get hurt. There is nothing to do with small children on the beach at all. The food at the resort caused stomach upset. And not only us. Everyone we asked had the same thing. The toilets on the beach did not flush for several hours at all. Also, the water in the rooms was also gone. Good shows in the evening. Good cafe with delicious coffee. But your health is undermined. Imagine that in the corridors and bathrooms they put laminate on top of the tiles. Shock! The water gives off an unpleasant smell. In our room, the balcony was painted when we were on the beach, and my son was in the room. The smell of paint! Nothing, relax. I do not advise anyone to go here. Under no circumstances. Just not here!!!

Very not bad resort. Food might be more different with more seafood and fruits, but in general we liked it. Never been hungry or not happy with place. We came to have vacation next to the sea and we did! thank you!

Very nice all-inclusive in LA Romana. The VIP package was worth the money. We didn't wait in lines for check in. Had exclusive restaurants that were top notch. The VIP pool was quiet and smaller than the regular one but had better drinks. The beach had WAY too many rocks so I would suggest water shoes. Typical shows and activities for this type of resort. Great service for the most part. Loved their coffee shop. The drive from Sto Dmgo airport is about 2 hours.

We are on the last couple of days here and the service has been outstanding! Anyone can find something to moan about but if you have any issues just let them know and they will resolve it straight away. Special mention to Brandor at front desk. Nothing is too much trouble and he does it all with the biggest smile! The entertainment team work relentlessly to make sure your holiday is full of fun.. you must have a dance with la maquina her hips don't lie. All staff from front desk, the team, the cleaners (Maria in block 6 is AMAZING, always happy and sings beautifully) to the guys who work around the resort are so friendly. The buffet is nice the food is fresh but can get a bit repetitive but all restaurants are lovely. Our personal favourite was chopsticks.. again another wonderful Maria in there... yeah baby! Thank you for everything and see you again

We just got home from 4 nights in Paradise!! From the start the staff made our stay amazing! Danny at the front desk really helped answer all our questions and showed us the ropes for our first all inclusive experience! The beach was amazing as we're the pools. The Mexican restaurant and steakhouse were the best meals. I was a huge fan of the buffet, but the omlettes and fresh fruit were great. Would absolutely return.

Had an absolutely wonderful time with my sister. Everyone at the resort was so kind, the rooms and the resort in general were super clean. The food was delicious. We ended up upgrading to the royal level which was so worth it. We did not stay in a royal room but that did not bother us at the standard room was wonderful. We ate at the royal restaurant, the seafood restaurant, steakhouse and buffet and everything was excellent. Definitely would love to go back at some point.

Overall experience was alright, but would not be revisiting. The rooms were clean, however the shower kept on flooding and we weren’t given enough towels. Also, the phone in our room did not work. The food was decent but the service was terrible at the buffet, we barely had any service and had to go get our own drinks. The wifi at the resort was absolutely terrible, could barely get service besides in the room. The beach was fairly small considering the size of the resort but beach was well kept. When returning my towels to get towel cards on the last day, one of the workers cornered me into writing a 5 star review for them before giving me the towel card. They even proceeded to let the people behind me get towel cards.

Just came back from a 7 night stay with a group of 10 and very disappointed. 8 out of our group of 10 were sick. The hotel rooms were outdated, and not clean. Our bed was very uncomfortable and smelled of sweat. Pillow cases, and sheets were stained. We also asked for new sheets and pillow cases, and they were also stained.. The food was not great, we lived off fries and nachos for a week. The ala cart restaurants are a must as that is where you can find the only decent meal. The service is also not great. Everyone is looking for a tip, and you will not get served quickly unless you have a couple bills in your hand. There were some happier employees but it was very rare to see. The lobby bar closed at 11 which we found ridiculous as it was one of the only places with a comfortable lounge area. The beach is very nice but no umbrellas. It was also relatively close to the airport. Overall we’re pretty disappointed with our stay. I would not recommend this resort to any family or friends. This is not a 5 star resort. Save your money.

First of all! Best butler is Carlos Rosario! You need to get in contact with him at your arrival, he will take care of all your needs and make sure you get a VIP experience! The resort is amazing with super nice rooms and views. The beach is fantastic. The food was pretty great and the restaurants were amazing too! All in all we had an amazing vacation!

The staff were great and very accommodating (we tipped well and I think that def contributed to our service). We had a family suite and while it was great to have the extra bathroom/space I feel like there is no way these rooms were actually fully renovated. To me someone came in painted and basically put a bandaid on an old hotel room. The food in the buffet was questionable. Thankfully we were able to get reservations all but one night. The food in the restaurants was decent depending on what you ordered. Personally, I just ordered basic entrees and my meals were fine. I read several reviews about the pools being overcrowded. We never experienced this. We were able to get chairs everyday at the pool and never had to "reserve" them before coming down with towels. Now, would I come back? Probably not. It wasn't awful, my family enjoyed themselves besides the food and once they realized we were tippers the service we received was great! BUT this is definitely not a 5 star resort. I would give it 3.5 stars at most.

Average Maintenance

Awasome all-inclusive resort. Staff is friendly and always ready to help. Food is good and plenty at any time. Beach is very specious and clean with plenty of umbrellas. Swimming pools are always available. Chairs are good quality. The coolest thing is room key being wrist band, which you can't forget. All in all, the resort is awesome.

Great place, very nice. I wish the sittings in the buffet were more clean and the tables, but still very nice. The Chinese restaurant was amazing, the chef was so funny, really enjoyed it. And the cherry over the cake is the animation team, Andres (chocolate 😄) Jalin and Diana were so friendly, very interactive and funny, the best part was definitely the animation team. Would come back just for their kindness and respect. Truly recommend this hotel

The experience was great, and the atmosphere was pleasant. However, it would be even better if some facilities were renovated, such as the gym, which could benefit from a larger space. Overall, it's been a positive stay. Additionally, providing a shuttle service would be a fantastic addition.

The hotel is stunning. The rooms and the entire property are exceptionally clean and beautifully maintained. Free-roaming flamingos, turtles, and iguanas add a special charm to the experience. The three large pools are fantastic, and the beach is equally wonderful. The food, unfortunately, didn’t quite meet our expectations. In addition to the buffet, we tried several of the à la carte restaurants, but unfortunately, none of them impressed us. The biggest downside, however, was the service. While there are some very friendly and attentive staff members, a large portion of the team seemed overwhelmed, stressed, or not in the best mood. The organization also left room for improvement. For example, our room wasn’t ready and clean even two hours after check-in, and in one restaurant, we had to wait 1.5 hours for our food. The activities, such as dance or yoga classes, didn’t seem to be led by professionals and often didn’t take place at the scheduled times. One exception was the beach party, which was planned with great attention to detail and was a highlight of our stay. All in all, it’s a lovely hotel and perfect for a few days of relaxation. However, to truly meet the five-star standard, food and service would need to be significantly improved.
