We just returned from an amazing week at this beautiful resort. We met so many wonderful people, but the staff truly stood out. Arbey and the rest of the events team, including JD, Diego, and Mili, were exceptional. Arbey went above and beyond, making our vacation feel truly special and memorable. The events team kept us engaged and entertained by the pool and beach, ensuring each day was a blast. The resort was the perfect size, never feeling crowded. The food was delicious, and we always found something tasty to enjoy. The oriental hibachi restaurant was our favourite à la cart dinner option, which was very entertaining and delicious.

It wasn’t terrible, but it definitely wasn’t great either. The biggest disappointment was the food. I’ve stayed at many all-inclusive resorts and understand the food is usually average at best, but this was noticeably worse than what I’ve experienced elsewhere. The buffet options were very limited and lacked flavor, and surprisingly there weren’t even tacos available, which felt odd considering we were in Mexico. The best meal we had the entire trip was actually across the street at Iguanas Restaurant, which was excellent and a highlight of the trip. The drinks were also disappointing and tasted very watered down most of the time. Another issue was the limited dining availability. Only one restaurant was open each night, and reservations were difficult to get. The last reservation slot was around 9pm, which filled up quickly. There were also several small things that added up. The hot tub was barely warmer than the pool, the pools closed early at 7pm, and the beach was completely closed at night. There were no hammocks or beach daybeds to relax in during the day. Entertainment in the evenings was minimal and not very engaging. We were traveling with a group of 12 people, and there really weren’t any good hangout areas large enoughfor groups besides the lobby couches. Overall, the resort felt pretty average and lacked the little touches that make an all-inclusive experience enjoyable. Unfortunately, based on this stay, we wouldn’t choose to return.

We came down to stay at Allegro Resort for the first time, with our kids and our parents. We've been here for 9 days so far and wow - we LOVE IT!! We were nervous after booking our trip because since booking have seen lots of negative reviews - which is why I am sharing this now.
Let's start with the food. This is honestly the BEST food we've had at any all inclusive we've been at before. Our kids are 7 and 8, and they were very happy with the food, and us adults were pleased as well. We went to the Oriental a-la-carte twice, and it was incredible as well! I'm not sure why people are so negative about the food here - I'm assuming they're mostly extremely picky eaters or unhappy with most dining experiences in general. Don't listen to the bad reviews when it comes to the food.
The beach - WOW!!!!!! It feels like paradise. Every time I enter the water I feel extreme gratefulness and I'm in awe of how clear the water is. The sand is beautiful, and the ocean floor when entering the water is sandy - we never had to use our water shoes. You could see so clearly - you never had to worry about stepping on anything dangerous etc. Usually when we go to a resort we only spend a day or two at the beach - but this trip we find ourselves at the beach every single day. The beach was awesome for snorkelling as well. My kids never got bored there. Itzel was the server who walked the beach everyday that we were here and she is the best!! She made sure everyone had a drink at all times!
Speaking of the Staff - everyone has been incredible. Very kind, personable, and some even remembered our names! From the bartenders to the servers, groundsmen, housekeepers, cooks, entertainers, you name it - all of the staff here are 10/10.
The only negative I'd say about the resort is that the rooms are quite small, and there is a lack of dressers / shelves to unpack and keep things organized. However, it did not ruin our vacation at all. We did not upgrade our room at all - I am not sure if the upgraded rooms have dressers etc to rectify that minor problem.
We would absolutely stay here again. What a perfect trip we've had. ALSO special mention - Go to Alberto's (3 min away) for the best night ever!! 🤣🤣 Bring your Advil and water bottle for the following day lol.

Location is perfect! About 30 min via taxi from the airport port.
Very family friendly atmosphere with activities for all ages.
Rooms are clean, air conditioned + a ceiling fan with nice closet space, and balcony with a hammock. The grounds are well maintained and very pretty.
Three restaurants to choose from for dinner reservations as well as buffets with a variety of food options.
With a large family, we continue to come back (4 years now) because we love the smaller resort, the staff is amazing, the beach is perfect and you can’t beat the pricing!

This is a really nice resort. I haven't stayed at too many myself but for the ones I have this has been the best! The grounds are beautiful and easy to navigate. The staff are amazing! Especially these few...activities staff Diago and Arby are a must to talk to and get to know. Mara is in the spa and does a fantastic job! Itzel takes care of you by the ppol and she is so nice and never forgets a drink, and for waiters you have to meet Henri! He makes the best banans foster and coffee flambe I have ever had. The food was great, the shows were amazing and they have a disco for night dancing and drinking thats open until 1:30. I will say you can hear the disco from most rooms so that can be a problem if youre a light sleeper bit everything has been fantastic here for me and my family's stay.

Our 3rd visit in 3 years, and would definitely return again. Extremely nice smaller resort. Great costumer service. We enjoy their food more than the larger resorts, it is more tasty/flavorful. After a few days the bartenders know our drink preferences, and are super friendly, as are the entire service staff. Very clean rooms and well kept grounds. Very relaxing. Entertainment staff is extremely friendly and tries to involve daily participation. Good wifi throughout.

Nice resort for a stay with family and friends. Food is quite good, although a wider variety would be much appreciated. The staff is very friendly and always helpful. The entertainment/animation staff were also very friendly and had several activities to keep the guests entertained (bingo, trivia, contests, among others). Annet and Angel were great at this area!

Checkin took waaay too long for a 30 people group, 40 minutes. Getting into the room took 1,5 hour because the door was not working. No other room given to solve the problem quickly. Eventually security needed to repair the door. It's not a pleasant way to start your stay. You need a lot of patience and you better speak some Spanish. Otherwise it is a nice place..

Beautiful location, very close to shopping, restaurants, ferries, and right across the street from a beautiful beach. The resort itself isn’t on the best beach for swimming, but the pool is big and the beach is less than a 5 minute walk.
The food at the resort is incredible. Everything we ate at the buffet was delicious, the cafe and the restaurants were also wonderful and included in the price of the all inclusive.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. We traveled from Canada and we did find that the front desk was a bit difficult to reach by phone before we arrived, but it was doable through the Wyndham main number.
The resort was always very clean and well maintained. Our room was spotless when we arrived.
Overall a very good experience, would highly recommend!!!

I recently stayed at this resort for 5 days, and overall it was a very enjoyable experience. The property is beautiful, well-maintained, and offers a relaxing atmosphere — perfect for a short getaway.
My room was comfortable and clean, with good amenities. Housekeeping did a great job throughout my stay, and the resort staff were friendly and welcoming. The environment felt peaceful and safe, which made the trip even better.The food was generally good, especially breakfast, which had plenty of options. The pool and beach areas were lovely, and there were enough activities to keep things interesting without feeling overwhelming. I appreciated that everything was easy to access and organized. Despite the small setbacks, the overall vibe, cleanliness, and scenery made this trip memorable. It’s a great option for anyone looking for comfort, relaxation, and quality time away.

I really enjoyed this resort! We stayed in the junior suite and it was a massive room! The service was the best I’ve experienced in awhile. Between the girls working the coffee shop, all the bartenders, housekeeping, the front desk, everyone made our stay amazing! We came for my birthday and they even left a mini cake in my room!! Our favorite were the servers at the restaurants! They made us laugh every night. ALSO, the food was amazing!!!!! Anywhere you go, it’s good food (and that’s coming from a picky American who eats Chicago/midwest food) but the Italian restaurant has AMAZING pasta! The bartenders were all so sweet and work like crazy!!! Each night they have entertainment which I personally thought was fun! We did karaoke, had a rock band show, did a silent party (which was actually fun). I had such an amazing time, always felt safe, and the hotel was extremely clean which was a huge perk for my ocd. Another perk was its right along 5th Ave which was so nice for us wanting to go explore!

Positives:
- Service amazing from bar staff and waiters, as soon as it hit 11am, the servers were off offering everyone drinks by the pool, and by no means expected any tips.
- Housekeeping attended every day without fail, including topping up of the mini bar.
- Really good location, right on the main strip of lots of bars and shops.
- Restaurants really nice, other than that I found the menu for the mexican very limited. But otherwise, buffet has lots of variety, even at breakfast, grill restaurant has a great menu and food, and our favourite being the italian. Also loved the quick delights and coffee shop available.
Negatives:
- Guests constantly hogging loungers with their towels first thing in the morning even though they woun't be seen for hours. There is a sign stating not to reserve loungers with towels or belongings unless in use, but sadly this is not enforced by the hotel at all. If you are not one to get up early, you absolutely will not get a lounger for the day, they were usually all gone by 09:00-10:00am. Really wished the hotel would enforce this one, as we were always up early (like 8am) and even then there were few left but no guests outside.
- If you are looking for a beach resort, I would not reccomend this hotel. For me it was not a problem as I saw from the reviews and usually spend more time at the pool. But there is no beach other than a tiny strip which is covered in rocks, making it completely inaccessable, and this area is also at the other end of the hotel, so no access to the pizza and entertainment whilst you lounge.
- Reception not very helpful or polite (unlike the the rest of the team) .. they advised there is no laundry service, even though advised online there is - meaning I had nothing warm to wear back to the UK (being 0 degrees) other than some small skirts and dresses. Also when our transport did not arrive they just handed me the phone, felt like they could've helped a bit more considering they speak spanish/ have numbers etc.
All in all, we had a lovely stay and that really was due to the amazing staff and lovely food. Would definitely stay again but I do feel there are improvements to be made.

Absolutely loved this place! Great location, so you can check out Playa del Carmen easily. The staff is top notch, Jannika is the star of the hotel, we loved her so much! Sebastian at the bar was our favorite bartender. The sushi place was great, so was the steak house, but the Mexican restaurant in the hotel was the best. Housekeeping was outstanding, our room was spotless every day. I can’t say enough good things about this place. To say again, the staff really made this stay special!!

We have been here many times since it first opened. Terrific staff, awesome restaurants, fantastic beach and pools. Here are the things I don't like. Some of the rooms in the original buildings are starting to show their age. We did find that many of the self-serve items at the buffet could be hotter and there are no spoons with the cereal or soup bowls You need to get a waiter to bring one. The dress code for a la carte restaurants is not consistent across all venues. Overall excellent vacation.

Recently returned from a 7 day stay at the resort. The entire resort is well maintained and very clean. Staff is friendly but few understand the English language. Used my google translator. Once the resort is figured out , it is very easy to move about. There are many maps of the whole resort around but because it is so large, the map is difficult to read. People with walk Issues may encounter difficulties getting around. The bus going throughout is a lifesaver but still lots of walking.
I would not rate this resort as a 5 Star for a number of reasons. The beach is the worst I’ve ever encountered. The water was beautiful but the ocean floor is uneven and extremely difficult to get in and out. Pools were beautiful.
The buffet food was okay for a day or 2 but the same food each day. They use so much pasta in different forms and I was disappointed to see the pizza crust came from a bag. Eating gluten free was extremely hard.
The Bandit buffet is better than the larger buffet but not open in the evening. Stokers lounge offers a small menu and we found chicken wings here.

Our 3rd visit in 3 years and would definitely return again.
The rooms were VERY nice, big and clean, with keys built into your wristband. The room fridge was stocked every day with beer, soda and water. It also had a coffee maker. We got chocolate treats a few times at bed time, a nice touch!
The restaurant reservation system was very quick and easy. The a la carte restaurants were great! Super service, excellent food and really nice bars outside each one for a pre-dinner drink. We really liked the Italian and Steakhouse meals, and the Japanese had a fun show/meal experience. The buffets were also pretty good with tons of choices, we never got bored of the food. The breakfast buffets were good, but it was the only time I thought the service was hit-or-miss (not always great).
The pool and beach areas are HUGE, well maintained/cleaned, and tons of chairs. If you want to get away and relax, there is an adults-only quiet pool. It has a bar and bathrooms, and additionally you can rent a covered daybed, if desired. Good wifi throughout.
There are lots of pool bars for adults. For the kids there are several huge pools specifically for them with slides and play areas, they looked like perfect fun. The bars all readily handed out big plastic water bottles, handy to maintain hydration.
There are a ton of things to do, as this property is quite large. At the Mall there is a sports bar with a large screen theater for watching big events (we saw a playoff game). The food there is quite good also. There is also bowling (fee) and a free putt-putt course. Beach volleyball everyday was good (a court at each resort). There is a HUGE gym with nice equipment. The Entertainment staff does a good job providing some fun/entertaining games.
Snorkeling/swimming with the sea turtles (and fish) is super cool. They are found at the Palace resort straight out from the volleyball area. The turtles are there every day, this is my wife's favorite experience every time we go here. There is also a pier near the dolphin area that has schools of fish all around the end. Of coarse there are lots of additional wildlife like iguanas and birds, but we saw spider monkeys several times around the buffet building at the Beach Resort ... that was pretty neat.
As stated before, the complex is super huge so be prepared to walk a bit if you want to explore/experience the whole thing. However they do have buses that continuously travel between all the resort areas, and they are double-decker so it can be a fun way to look around.

Overall, it's a good hotel. Its most notable features are its location, close to the airport and the port to Isla Mujeres. Another highlight is the staff; everyone provides excellent service, from the receptionists and waiters to the recreation staff, the bartenders, and the housekeeping. The buffet food is varied and tasty, especially on special evenings. The gym is well-equipped with machines and has ample space. On the downside, some areas show their age, and the worst part was the cleanliness of the bathroom in our room (see pictures). It was quite unpleasant to be in a bathroom that demonstrated such poor hygiene.

Like other reviews the check in process is terrible you will be waiting a good hour to check in. Thank goodness we weren’t there in the height of summer as if it was any warmer it wouldn’t be comfortable as there was no air conditioning. They could definitely do with investing in better check in technology as everything is paper based and very laborious.
Room is spacious. It is a little dated but has everything you need. Extremely comfortable large bed. Safe, ironing board and hairdryer (ours was broken but I didn’t mind my hair would dry in the sun).
The first few days the staff were absolutely terrible. ESPECIALLY the staff at the help desk. The ones booking the dinners and organising the day trips. Do NOT book trips through them. Use Viator and other companies prior to your stay. They were rude, obnoxious and just awful. I cannot stress this enough - AWFUL!
However the special staff that made our trip so much better and the reason for any stars at all were Vanilay and Serigio in the Mexican restaurant. And also Jhoan. Thank you for making our trip 🙏
I think the beach is a great size. The pool is also so lovely and incredibly clean. They were sorting the filters every morning!
The food was fine. We stayed for 5 nights and honestly we were getting tired of the food by the end of the trip (buffet). We ate in the Mexican restaurant and Italian. As a European who has been to Italy many times, I wouldn’t recommend. I think they could definitely do better and don’t do Italian food any justice.
Other hotels are nearer fun areas. This hotel doesn’t have much around it. There is more to do further east of the hotel zone.
At the end of the day you get what you pay for. I would have given 4 stars in total if the staff mentioned weren’t so rude. The staff at the help desk and some of the servers would be the reason I recommended finding somewhere else to stay.

This is our second time here. My family and I saw many improvements in service, cleanliness, and variety of food. The food was delicious everywhere. Our favorite was the buffet. I asked the staff to arrange a little surprise for my wife and daughter for their birthdays, and they exceeded my expectations. Special thanks to "Captain Mario," Alfredo, Luis, and others. We were very happy there and felt their warm Mexican welcome every morning! We arrived at 8:30 AM and were supposed to check in at 4 PM. The staff was very nice to us, letting us check in pretty much right away. I kindly asked them to provide at least one room on the first floor for my mother, who has a walking disability, and they managed to find both rooms for us. There was no extra charge for early check-in or room choice. Highly appreciated. Everything deserves 5 stars. The only thing I didn't like was that the beach is rather small, but I didn't see how they could improve it; the location allowed them only so much, but we still liked it. The jet ski rental guys were fixing their rigs almost every day, causing a smell of gas and exhaust.

Absolutely loved having a family vacation at this resort! Staff was incredible. Our waiters, Alfredo Gil and Alberto Delfin, were particularly exceptional to accommodating our needs. The ladies instructing morning stretch class on the beach were also wonderful. Thoroughly enjoyed the nightly live music at the piano in the lobby.
A few things to know before hand:
•The resort offers high chairs at the restaurants for babies as well as cribs to use during your stay *if they are available*
•Reservations are required for dinner at the restaurants (buffet requires no reservations)
•There are several activities throughout the day
•There are nightly shows starting around 9pm that can be quite loud if you are an early to bed person

We just returned from an absolutely amazing stay at Fiesta Americana Condesa Cancun, and I truly can’t say enough good things about this resort!
From the moment we arrived, the service was outstanding. The servers in the pool area were attentive, kind, and always smiling. No matter how busy it was, they made sure we had everything we needed and checked on us constantly. They really made relaxing by the pool feel effortless and special.
The entertainment during the day at the pool was so much fun! There was always something going on — music, games, and activities that kept both adults and kids engaged. In the evenings, the bars came alive with great music and shows. The nighttime entertainment had such a fun, energetic vibe but still felt classy and enjoyable for everyone.
If you’re traveling with kids, this resort is fantastic. There were activities for different ages, and it was clear the staff truly cared about making sure the children were having fun and felt included. It made such a difference knowing the kids were happy and entertained.
The restaurant staff deserves a special thank you. Every single person — from the hosts and servers to the cooks — was warm, professional, and attentive. And I have to mention the chef at the omelet station in the mornings! Not only were the omelets delicious and made exactly how we liked them, but he greeted us with such kindness every day. That personal touch made breakfast something we looked forward to.
And finally, a heartfelt thank you to the wonderful ladies who cleaned our room. They did an incredible job keeping everything spotless and comfortable. Coming back to a fresh, perfectly cleaned room every day made our stay even more relaxing.
Overall, this resort truly understands hospitality. The staff works so hard to create a welcoming, joyful experience, and it shows in every detail. We are already looking forward to coming back!

My husband and I with our 5 kids (ranging in ages from 18-5) stayed here for 10 days in Feb. 2026. Before booking we spent a lot of time researching resorts. It was overwhelming to say the least. We ended up booking here after talking with a friend who knew someone that stayed here and enjoyed it.
The hotel rooms could use some TLC, but nothing that would prevent me from staying here again. The checking process took a while but that seemed to be because there were only two people working behind the counter. The food was decent. Not the best I’ve had in my life, not the worst. The fish tacos at La Cevecheria were my favorite!! What made this resort shine are the staff- every one of them was so attentive and thoughtful. Osvaldo was the best- anticipating our drink orders before we even knew we wanted them. He was a standout! As was Roberto who went out of his way to get us ice cream to our table in the buffet area (normally ice cream is found in the gift shop area).
There are some aspects of the resort that could be improved (information provided at check in about the resort, allowing us to reserve rooms next to each other at booking, better kids water play area). But overall, we enjoyed ourselves and we are going to miss the sun and surf. If you decide to book here, in my opinion, you won’t be disappointed.

My favorite place!! This resort is incredible. We stayed in a room with a plunge pool - SO worth it and absolutely incredible.
The drinks are made with quality liquor, and SOOO yummy!! There’s a lot of very good food options as well. I loveeeeee the quesadillas!!
The beach is absolutely beautiful, and the pool is fantastic.
What truly makes this resort is the staff - I’ve never seen such hardworking and sweet people!! They really go above and beyond.
I went with my girlfriend as well and they were very LGBTQ+ friendly and we had a very romantic getaway!

I recently stayed at this hotel and it was one of the best experiences I've had.
Initially, I was disappointed with the room condition upon arrival at 7 pm - there was water on the floor due to an air conditioning issue. However, the staff immediately changed my room and the maintenance team had fixed the issue promptly.
The food quality was 9/10 and variety was 10/10. I loved the Brazilian and Italian restaurants, but the Mexican restaurant was average.The outdoor seafood restaurant and Pizza bar were highlights. They also serve top-shelf liquor!
Staff were super friendly and helpful - a standout experience! Special thanks to Rebeca, Adelio, and Chef Ismael for making our stay amazing.
I'd recommend this hotel for a relaxing family vacation, but maybe not for those seeking late-night entertainment.
One suggestion: upgrade the pillows! They were a bit of a struggle for me, but the mattress was good.
Overall, I'd definitely come back!

This was my second time staying at this resort the service is always great the ones who stood out were JJ, Javier, and Anselmo. The food was great. The ocean is beautiful, the pools were nice.
The rooms with two beds could use some upgrades in privacy when it comes to the restroom. The beds definitely need to be updated. The check in process was slow, on top of that I really highly dislike the people trying to sell you stuff from the resort like the timeshares and application thing.

Experience was great all around. All you need is 3 days here. It gets a bit repetitive with the activities. The bell men were funny and gave great service. I highly recommend Luis and Hebert. They were the kindest human beings. Overall, my husband and I had a great time.

So we have a premier contract with this hotel with a lot of benefits. Over the recent months they have began to strip things from our contract that we are “legally” obligated to have. Obviously we are dealing with a foreign country contract so a little more difficult to pursue enforcement. So I think to warn others to stay away from buying in as it is at their convenience not yours.
One of our dining experiences this time at Sutra (private room) was the worst experience ever. Everyone’s food came out overcooked or undercooked and had to be returned. The waiter Santos had an attitude the entire time and never offered to get us a drink. We even had to refill our own water. Furthermore, one guests food didn’t even come out until after everyone was done eating and it was a lobster and overcooked.
On a good note- Ivan and Shadia our butlers were amazing. The premier bar staff, Gerry, tono, Matias, Adan and manolo were amazing as always. Bell boys Carlos and Alfredo were great as well. Gloria the butler boss is always on her game and amazing.
Decent place to go but stays away from buying in- they will promise you the world but deliver nothing after you do.

The resort was very clean and fun. The staff very attentive to guest. The atmosphere very chill but also a party atmosphere. I was told the resort caters to Hispanic community in the months of June, July and September. Definitely will be coming back during one of those months.

Third time here and love the staff at Sultra restaurant the most (Christian Reyes, Juan Tee and Jones). Very attentive and remembered my drink order. The food is fantastic and I never needed a reservation to go there. Treated with respect being alone and its definitely my preferred spot.

Service is always amazing though. My butler Alex was awesome Ramon at sea. Flirt was amazing. I love the food over at sea Flirt.
The hibachi restaurant was great. They switch the show at she which was a refreshing surprise since I’ve been a member for three years so I’ve seen the same show a few times.
